Ciara Shayee debuts in the publishing world with a bang, Pinky Promises is not a book like the once you normally read, this is a book about two girls that overcome a struggle that makes them stronger and survivors of a real and difficult experience. You will find yourself falling in love with the characters, the story and how the author managed to layout the story in a way that is real and that you can understand and feel the emotions behind it. I can't wait for the next book, congrats Ciara on your first book, which I am sure will become a must read down the road.

This book, wow! The journey of these two girls from getting abducted on their way home from school to the young women finally coming back to their families is gutwrenching. They had every right to end up emotionally stunted, but they fought back; always having each other's back and being there to support each other. They grew so strong. This story is heartwrenching and real, Ciara brings out the emotions so well; it all feels real. Don't even get me started on the families left behind, worrying and wondering where they were taken, by who and if they are even still alive.
This book is a firm favorite of mine and will be read again and again in the future. What a debut! I already know that every book Ciara publishes in the future I will happily buy and read. Her writing is special.

A fantastic first book from Ms. Ciara Shayee! I fell in love with the characters and didn't want to leave them when the book came to an end. Good books always seem too short! I can't wait for her to publish another book in her Promises series! It can't come soon enough!
