The first book in the Stars serie. A Pride and Prejudice, Fifty shades of grey and Twilight mash up for young adults. The third instalment will be released on the 11. of February.
Dark and gloomy, it drew me in and I will probably continue to read the serie...
Sophia Carson, orphaned as an infant, living with her hateful step-mother and half-sister is eager to leave home for her freshman year. Moving from Florida to Seattle where her step- mother has arranged for her to live with the illustrious Whitmore's.
Although the grandmother is welcoming the oldest grandchildren are not. Elishka is simply cold but Sebastian is cruel.
Trying to fit in and establish connections with people for the first time in her life, her friendships come from an unlikely source.
There is an undertow of something paranormal but this first instalment does not reveal its nature.
Will happily recommend this serie. I am intrigued by this introduction.
