Decadence

The story Decadence by Lynnette Brisia is a new adult/suspense/romance book. This is a story that I found myself thinking about long after finishing. It is written in a way that grabs your attention and holds it to the very last page. It is the first book I have read by that author and I find that she takes a situation that would be considered dark and gives you a reason to hold on to hope. This is the story of Seth. It’s his birthday and he celebrates it by going out to a strip club. After being provided a private dance, he can’t stop thinking of the woman he sees with the vine tattoos. It leads to an obsession and that leads to danger. What happens next could only be considered harrowing for all involved. Will Seth and the others survive their trip to the club called Decadence?
This story includes scenes that made me question the reasons and motives of certain characters. There are those who I consider “evil” and I found their actions so out of the norm that it had me feeling very angry. However, to tell this story these characters actions must be written. There are also those characters that have an unbelievable strength to go on and overcome any odds. It makes me believe good things can come out of even a bad situation. Seth is a wonderful character and one that you can identify with. He is caught in a situation that is beyond his control and still, he doesn’t let this stop either his will to survive or his ability to reach out and help others. Seth is a man that is determined to survive. What will his survival involve? This is a book that had my emotions all over the place. That this book made me feel angry, sad, and hopeful all at the same time shows that the author knows how to weave a story and create characters that are unforgettable. Read this story to find out what happens to Seth and those who find themselves in the same situation. This book does include scenes with adult situations and I would suggest this story for those 18 years of age or over only.

Decadence by Lynnette Brisia is one of those books that you come away from asking yourself, “what did I just read?”…. It is dark, twisted and suspenseful. I had so many questions throughout the book; I felt that I really had to keep reading because I needed answers and to find out where the story would take me.
The story starts with Seth Ryan who is on a guy’s night out with his friends who have taken him to a strip club to celebrate Seth’s twenty-first birthday. They all have a great night and Seth ends up quite hung over the next day which he regrets because he has to attend classes at college. He ends up breaking up with his girlfriend that day as well, just to add to his discomfort.
Then we meet Mia, who is out at the same club with work colleagues, who have coaxed her out and are determined to wind down from a very long work week. She is amused at their antics and drunken attempts to pick up the sexy waitresses and dancers. As she is the only girl in the group, they tease her and try to embarrass her by buying her a lap dance in one of the private rooms. But Mia’s not about to shy away from their challenge and enters the private room with determination and a major dose of curiosity.
She is about to discover what club Decadence is all about and what delights await the patrons in the private rooms. After all Decadence has a reputation of being the premier establishment with only the very best ‘staff’. What happens in the room? What will Mia discover? She has no idea that this experience is about to turn her world upside down and will consume every aspect of her life.
Ryan returns again with his friends to the club for another night out and he can’t help but notice one girl in particular. She has the most exquisite porcelain skin with a beautiful vine tattoo swirling over her body. She adds to the exotic and erotic atmosphere of the club and he can’t seem to get her out of his head. But, he soon realises that something in not quite right with the club. Things are definitely not what they appear to be. As the story progresses and things are revealed this erotic dream turns into a chilling nightmare. Someone has their eye on Seth with plans for his future. What happens at the club? What discoveries does Seth make? Is it all an erotic dream, or a nightmare that he may never escape from? Exactly who is the girl with the vine tattoo and what part does she play in the whole story?
This story really messed with my mind. The characters were intriguing, as was the premise of the story. I really wanted to discover all the goings on in the club and get to the bottom of it all. But I ended up with a few issues with the book. I found it was a little slow to get going and was somewhat confusing in the way it was laid out. I understand that the author was trying to build the suspense, drama and tension- which she did do to a degree, but in a way that made me frustrated with the story, instead of immersed in it.
I understand what the author was trying to achieve, but I just couldn’t connect with the story or the characters the way I would have liked to. I am intrigued enough by this story to read more of the authors work in the future.

My goodness!!! What a house of horrors. I could not believe the words I was reading, at times. So hard was it to get my head around in the beginning. Decadence is the first book I have read by Lynette Brisia, and I must say, I am really impressed.
Sth meets Mia at a strip club called Decadence. He becomes obsessed almost instantly and is intrigued by her tattoo. But all is not as it seems at the club, and they are both cast in a nightmare that neither of them could comprehend, and a horror they may never be free of. All Seth wanted was a really good night out, but ends up getting way more than he bargained for.
The connection between Seth and Mia is immediate. So is the burning attraction they feel. It grows more intense every day, which possibly helps them retain a little sanity in this strange and deadly situation they find themselves in.
Decadence is a tale with many surprises and shocks. It isn’t for the faint hearted. Seth and Mia struggle to make sense of this nightmare and the race for survival becomes the most important fight they have ever been in. The fight for their lives.
Lynette Brisia is an extremely talented author. Decadence takes the reader on a journey of danger, darkness, evil, violence and sex. But Decadence also delivers a story of two people who find each other in the most harrowing of circumstances, develop insanely deep feelings for each, despite the trauma they have endured. It iss a love story with a difference. There are no soft or fluffy edges, no warm and fuzzy moments that warm your heart and give you those feel good tingles. But Decadence still shines beautifully in its harshness.
I recommend Decadence for lovers of a romance with a twist. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I was amazed at the author's ability to shock, yet dazzle me. 5 stars for Decadence

Decadence by Lynnette Brisia is your non stop, action packed book. You will not be able to put it down. Its an amazing feeling, finding a book.. you can't put down!! The world around you goes on and you have your nose stuck in a book!! I love it!!
This is my first time reading a story by Lynnette Brisia. And let me just say, it will NOT be my last either. The way Lynnette writes, she immediately sucks you in. You feel like you HAVE to know what's going to happen next!!

At first, everything appears to be great! But something seems off. Everything , is not what is appears to be! The staff are unmatched everywhere. The private dances, are something you've never experienced, ever!!
But someone gets Seth’s attention. She is beautiful, stunning even. She has a vine tattoo. That is all he knows. He doesn't know her name or anything. But yet, he can't seem to get her out of his head. He has to know more about her!!
What starts as a simple intrigue, turns into an obsession very quickly. And that obsession turns into a horrible nightmare, no one ever saw coming.
What the owners have in store for him and the mysterious woman, with the vine tattoo. Is pure hell! Secrets, deep and dark secrets are uncovered.
Will be they able to escape the hell before it's too late? Will they unravel the truth before someone’s life is in danger? Will they discover more people, in the hell with will?

This book is a suspense thriller with lots of sex and a little romance, that will leave you on the edge of your seat and make wonder how there is any way there could possibly be a good outcome. Some people may be uncomfortable with the content of this book but if you find your way through it you will enjoy this change of pace story. It is well written and is still a good read.

This book will make you rethink going to a strip club. Or at least rethink getting that private dance. Seems like in Decadence bad things happen when you’re lead away from your group for a private encounter. If the owner of the establishment thinks you’re pretty there’s a good chance you’re going to be recruited to work for them… Against your will.
Mia is out for the night with a group of her coworkers. They’ve decided to go to a strip club to see how embarrassed they can make her. It’s not a big deal for her; she’s been to them before. She doesn’t even flinch when they buy her a private dance. A private dance that changes everything for her.
Seth hasn’t gone to a strip club in 4 years. The last one he went to brought the crazy out in his girlfriend at the time. Imagine his surprise when his brother browbeats him into going to Decadence and finding out the old strip club had been torn down and rebuilt into this amazing establishment. His brother buys him a private dance. The show he sees is so mesmerizing that he has to come back. For several weeks he’s filled with thoughts of the girl with the vine tattoos. He goes back to catch another glimpse of her. Seth doesn’t make it home that night or to work the next day or the next.
Two strangers are thrown together in the worst way. Forced to perform for the strangers behind the glass or be punished. What a wild, roller coaster this book is. I've never read a book quite like this, with the main focus being on a strip club. A strip club that you might not ever leave from. A place so wild, even you dreams couldn't get you in the right mind-frame for a place like Decadence. A place so mysterious, a place with such beautiful people. The feelings you get that you might not get any other place. If you're chosen, you might get something bigger than just a private dance from a beautiful woman.
Mia and Seth are two different people with two different lives that are thrown into the world of Decadence. They are chosen to be performers together, they have strict rules to follow and If they don't do what they're told or do the job properly, there will be consequences, and they won't be good. They're forced, they're coerced, but they're willing as well. So much happens in the big red room with the bed, they don't know what's real and what's not.
This book has such an interesting concept. The storyline is so unique. It's thrilling and suspenseful, it had me on the edge of my seat. I didn't know what was going to happen next, I didn't know who was coming in next. There were twists at every chapter and it left me wanting more. Decadence is a well-rounded book with crazy, interesting characters, a compelling story, and bringing all the sexiness to the pages.
Decadence is not suitable for younger readers. It's probably not going to be for everyone's reading tastes anyways. There is graphic sexual content, and themes that may trigger some readers. If you can handle all that, then I highly recommend.

Decadence by Lynnette Brisia is a page turner, you never know what is going to happen next. During the moments, you must put the book down for your obligations you will be wondering “what in the world did I just read?” The story takes place in Decadence, a strip club so aptly named as its vibe portrays the very definition of the word, a moral or cultural decline as characterized by excessive indulgence in pleasure or luxury. Decadence isn’t just any strip club it’s a place all your wildest dreams and fantasies can come true. Those little inklings in the back of your mind that you never want to talk about in public because it’s so personal, those can come true at Decadence. What is your deepest desire?
Seth and Mia are two vastly different people from two very different lives that have no clue who each other are or what they are in for. They both go out for a night on the town and are thrown into the lustful life of Decadence. They are handpicked to be performers together, yet they don’t choose their own routine, it is chosen for them. There are strict rules to follow and the consequences well those are never good, think of your worst nightmare and it would be worse. The connection between these two is instantaneous but is it real or not? Does it make their acts forced, coerced or willing?
This is a very interesting book with twists and turns you will never expect. It is not suitable for young readers and will probably not suite everyone’s tastes. There is graphic sexual content, rape, bondage, submission, girl on girl and three some material. If that would be up your alley I would recommend reading this book.

Decadence by Lynnette Brisia was wow-just WOW! Fan-freaking-tastic, amazing, dark & twisty, and written in first person (alternating) POVs by the two main characters-Seth and Mia. It has everything I love in a good book. Drama? Has it in spades. Heat? Hope you have a fan on stand-by. I gave this gem 5 stars! Also plan on stalking this talented author from here on out;)

He and his friends hit up Decadence for a shenanigan filled night, but get way more than they bargained for. This isn’t your average club, it’s vividly sexual/intense/erotic. Then he sees an absolute goddess with vines intricately climbing her body….he is immediately drawn to her. One night with Mia was not enough, and she turns into an obsession for Seth….but a girl this amazing must have others longing for her decadent touch. Seth isn’t the only moth to her intense flame, and soon he becomes tangled in a web of secrets and danger. What secrets lie behind the doors to this erotic club? What will discovering these secrets cost Seth? More importantly, does she share his attraction?
This book was absolutely everything! So dark & twisty, just when you think you know where it’s leading? Boom-you veer down an even darker path. All the characters are so well written, and Mia is absolutely mesmerizing! This had me yelling at my Kindle, nervously shaking my leg, gasping aloud-literally all the drama, all the feels! I could not put this down! Highly recommend to anyone loving a well written suspenseful, dark, and twisty romance! I can’t wait to start stalking this author, and read what she has in store next!

We jump ahead a few years and Seth is on his way to “Decadence” another strip club with his brother and friends for his birthday. And when they treat him to a lap dance, he witnesses something and someone that he can’t stop thinking about.

Mia is out with her friends at the strip club having a good time. The guys have had more than they probably should to drink and decide to buy her a private dance. The guys will not take no for an answer as Mia really does not want to have someone dance for her. This dance they bought for her, the girl that is her escort is giving her a bad feeling. Mia reluctantly agrees and the further that she walks down the hall that feeling keeps getting worse. She enters the room and the curtain goes up; what she sees in front of her is nothing like she has ever seen before. This night, this dance is nothing at all like she expected.

I must give Decadence by Lynette Brisa a five star rating. Her writing is breathtaking.She pulled me in and left me staggered by how fast I was caught up in Decadence.
Lynette Brisa writes a thoroughly believable modern day horror story filled with modern day monsters and madness. I was kept wondering if the Hero and Heroine were going to make it out alive. Decadence describes the emotions of the characters wonderfully and builds upon them until I was left breathless and on the edge of my seat. Leave lots of time when you start Decadence because once you crack it open, you won’t be able to put it down until you finish it. At least, I wasn’t able to. I was so engrossed in the horror of the situation. I just couldn’t put the book down until it was finished. I couldn’t decide until the very end if this was a romance or horror story. Thanks to Lynette Brisas’s amazing competence in planning out her story line, that answer is left until the very end.
I cannot emphasize enough how amazingly breathtakingly creepy Ms. Brisa writes her monsters. And, maybe in the end, that is truly what this book is, a monster story. Wow! What an experience this book was. I am still recovering. The story takes us on the experience that Seth & Mia go through. They both go to the strip club Decadence at different times, two weeks apart. Their friends get them a private show. But little do they know that private show is the beginning of the worst nightmare they will experience. I don't want to give anything away. This book will take you through their horrible experience. And it will show you just how important true hope and love are.
Usually I am not a fan of these type of stories. They bum me out. But this book was well written and the author keeps you hanging on with twists and pure emotions. I found myself not being able to put it down. But I will warn readers that there are graphic and steamy scenes. But in my opinion, it's all well worth it for the story as a whole.

Decadence is a standalone novel by Lynnette Brisia and is definitely for fans of dark reads! I was looking for something different to read, don’t get me wrong I love a romance with a HEA but sometimes you just want something different and I definitely got that with this book! It was unlike anything that I have read before. It was dark, gritty, sexy and I definitely questioned what I had read once it was over but I loved every single minute of it! I loved that I went into this book thinking one thing and it was totally turned on its head! There is absolutely no way that I could have ever predicted that storyline and the twists and turns it would take. With every turn of the page you question just what is going on in that club!
This is my first read by this author and I have to say I was really impressed. She has a great ability to write dark romance stories and I will definitely be looking to read more from her in the future. Her writing captivated me from the very beginning and even after I had finished reading I still wanted more.
I loved Seth and Mia – the situation they found themselves in was difficult but the connection they had was great. Seth really and truly cared for Mia – he felt this instant pull towards her and knew that he wanted to be with her. Mia was quiet and had such a sad background story of which more emerged towards the end of the story. I loved Seth and Mia together.
I am definitely looking forward to reading more by this author in the future and if dark romance is your go to genre then you will not be disappointed in this book!!

Decadence by Lynnette Brisia was absolutely amazing, and unlike anything I've read so far this year. It was everything you could want in a book, there was drama, it was suspenseful and kept you wanting to turn the pages faster than you could read. She has an unbelievable amount of talent, and I think I just found a new favorite author. An amazing 5 star read.

A strip club, but this club isn't like any other club he's been to, somethings off about it. Everything about it seems more intense, more dark, more seductive, more erotic. That's when he meets her, the girls with the vines going up and down her body. He's absolutely entranced by her and needs to know more about her. But what happens when Seth pushes too far and secrets come to light. What happens when he realizes he isn't the only one obsessed with her? Can he keep her safe? Does she even want Seth, the way he wants her? This club is dangerous, the people there are dangerous, and who can you really trust?

Decadence by Lynnette Brisia is a dark, suspenseful and action packed book. This is my first story by this author and she impressed me with her writing style. Her ability to write dark suspense is enjoyable. I have read this type of story before and the authors are not always able to pull it off. In this case this author pulled it off so much so that you will be sitting on the edge of your seat. These characters will take you on a roller coaster ride full of twists and turns that you will bite your nails one minute and the next you want to yell at the characters. Find out what happens to these characters as they go on a journey of control and taking control away from others.
It is Seth Ryan's birthday so why not a night on the town and to a strip club at that. Something doesn't seem to fit with this strip club, something just isn't right. You will never experience anything so erotic, the staff are unmatched and the private dances are just a part of it. What will happen when he meets a girl with vines that go up and down her body? He can't seem to get her out of his head. When intrigue turns into obsession then into a nightmare no one expected especially the secrets that have been uncovered. What will Seth do when he finds out that he is not the only one obsessed with her? When the owner of the strip club has plans for Seth, will it put him in danger? What does a red room and one girl have to do with anything? Will this strip club be his downfall? Everyone is welcomed at this club but will it be the last place they ever visit again?

What about the secrets that are being uncovered, how will they effect this story? Have things gotten out of control for them or is someone else all of a sudden have control that they shouldn't have? The secondary characters are just as strong and complement the main characters. You will enjoy them just as much. Find out what happens to Seth and the others as they walk through the doors of a strip club.

You will have a hard time putting this book down. You will need to see what is lurking behind every page and it will keep you turning pages. Decadence is a story about two people who through tragedy discovers love.
The story starts with Seth a twenty one year old man who his friends decided to make the most of it and enjoy the strip club, but when the next comes and he is nursing a hangover as well as his girlfriend having ago regarding were he had been.
Not wanting to get into an argument with her he tries to explain it was not his choice that the guys dragged him them but she does not believe and goes a bit psycho and Seth breaks up with her there and then. Over the next few months Seth becomes embroiled within the emotional turmoil that was his ex-girlfriend and in the end get a restraining order against her and the last he knows she’s been incarcerated within a hospital.
Mia is enjoying a night out with her male friends and they decide to go to a strip club called Decadence, the guys think it’s a great idea to get Mia a special dance. Although it’s not Mia’s first time in a strip club or a lap dance so she goes along with the situation, as she is shown into the red room with a window in front of her she is shocked what she sees when the light goes on, all of a sudden something happens and Mia is thrown into a dark and evil world that there is no escape from.
Seth now twenty four is yet again out with his friends and his brother who decides to frequent a local strip club again, but this time he is invited by his brother to be involved within a lap dance which he pays. Seth is shown into a red room with a window and as the light ignites he sees the most beautiful woman with a vine tattoo running up her side but Seth is mesmerised by this amazing woman. As the light dims he is shown out of the room but this woman haunted his dreams.
So a couple of weeks after he makes another journey to the strip club on his own and finds the waitress who helped his brother buy the experience where he found the woman he cannot get out of his head. As he makes his way back into the room he first saw he something happens and Seth’s life is turned upside down in seconds. Will he find his vine tattoo lady but will this be a life or death situation.
The story is quite hard hitting and the subject matter is sometimes difficult to digest but this does enhances the story and creates the twists you require in a book. The way Seth tries to protect Mia and trying to make it easier for them to digest the situation they are in. This is the first book I have read by this author and I will be reading more in the author in the future.

Seth is a newly turned 21 year old young man at the cusp of his youth. Mia is a young woman who's out to have fun with co-workers. Though not at the same time, they both end up in a strip club called Decadence. Here, their fates fully intertwine as they face drugs, danger, captivity and mayhem.
This story is not your typical romance. It is dark, with themes that will make you cringe as you read through both Mia and Seth's experiences in Decadence. Lynette Brisia delivers such a descriptive depiction of the events that lead up to Mia and Seth's meeting. She gives us such graphic descriptions of Seth and Mia's captivity, in which they are forced to endure anything they are told to do.
I loved reading this story. It kept my mind abuzz with questions as I flipped page by page to try to figure out how all the events end up to be. There were some parts that, for me, were a little slow, though I still enjoyed this book as a whole.
Ms. Brisia manages to captivate and entice with words that make you feel the danger, the disgust, the betrayal, and lust in its entirety.
To me, this book was more of a suspenseful erotic thriller with a touch of romance. I love that she ended it in a way that was realistic enough for what these two main characters have been through. I loved how Decadence, the club, ended as and how everything was put together. There were times when I felt like I was watching an episode of Criminal Minds because her words were so good at showing me a visual of what was unfolding.

Decadence by Lynnette Brisia is just....Wow is all I can say. This is my first time reading this author. Do you like dark, twisted books? This book was written well and kept me interested because I had to find out how it ended.
Mia Stanton visited a strip club with a few male friends who insisted she get a private show. She didn't want to go but, finally went to the back for the show. Mia had no idea her worst nightmare was about to occur and she would never see those friends again.
Seth Ryan also visited the club with his brother and a friend for his 25th birthday and his brother Craig says he wants the hottest girl in the place to give Seth a private show. Seth went in the back room and the show he viewed turned him on so much that he couldn't get the girl with the vine tattoo out of his mind even though he didn't see her face. He ended up visiting Decadence again by himself after a week and his life changed that day also. Something fishy and very much illegal was going on at the club. They were abducting people and keeping them as slaves to perform for paying customers. If they don't perform, they are gone. What happens to them?
Mia has met Holly and Lewis but they are taken away shortly after and never to be seen again.
Seth and Mia are thrown together in this crazy place and decide to try to make the best of their time there even though they know, they probably won't live to see daylight again.
So many people are connected to Decadence and it's insane. I cannot believe how many people knew what was going on there and never made any attempt to help the people being held captive....quite the opposite actually.
Crazy, dark, suspenseful read that I didn't think I would like. The characters made the book. I wasn't crazy about the story itself but, I did like how Julie and Paul looked out for Mia and tried to help her in the beginning. Mia and Seth is like a love story started in a horrible nightmare but they really did learn to care for eachother.
Mia Stanton visited a strip club with a few male friends who insisted she get a private show. She didn't want to go but, finally went to the back for the show. Mia had no idea her worst nightmare was about to occur and she would never see those friends again.
Seth Ryan also visited the club with his brother and a friend for his 25th birthday and his brother Craig says he wants the hottest girl in the place to give Seth a private show. Seth went in the back room and the show he viewed turned him on so much that he couldn't get the girl with the vine tattoo out of his mind even though he didn't see her face. He ended up visiting Decadence again by himself after a week and his life changed that day also. Something fishy and very much illegal was going on at the club. They were abducting people and keeping them as slaves to perform for paying customers. If they don't perform, they are gone. What happens to them?
Mia has met Holly and Lewis but they are taken away shortly after and never to be seen again.
Seth and Mia are thrown together in this crazy place and decide to try to make the best of their time there even though they know, they probably won't live to see daylight again.

This story...yeah.
It's a twisted tale that you're not quite sure is a romance because of everything that happens, but then it could be because of everything that happens.
It's gory without being obvious. It's suspenseful and thrilling and the sex scenes are hot!!!
Mia is a girl just out for a good time. She's doesn't really have a big POV part in this story, but what you get from her is invaluable. Because you can see, with just the glimpses into her head how terrified she is of her surroundings and circumstance. I love when characters have secrets and it takes a while to unravel them.
Seth was amazing. A little naive but amazing nonetheless. Because even with the shitty hand he was dealt, he was still trying to find a way. He was still trying to make things work. Add in his attraction to Mia and yeah. The way he felt about her, it could have been creepy - at least in the beginning - but you could see it was something much bigger than either of them could understand.
And those secondary characters were a trip. Evil, demented and all the other ways to say disturbed. If you're squeamish, this may not be the book for you as there are a few parts that are not for the faint of heart, but it was definitely hot and made to keep you on the edge of your seat.
And the ending was perfect too. Though I love big jumps in time, needing an epilogue to give me all the feels, this one was the perfect balance, wrapping up what needed to be wrapped up while giving the future a nod. Definitely recommend.

Decadence written by Lynnette Brisia

As I sit here trying to write this review my brain is still trying to wrap around and sort out what I just read. I have not read Lynnette Brisia's work before. This was an unexpected dark, twisted romance like I've never experienced. At times I wanted to turn and hide myself while reading...I felt like I was in the red room wanting to escape myself. I keep replaying the story in my head and can't imagine what it would feel like to experience the same things as I read.
Seth Ryan is out with a group of friends and ends up at Decadence. His buddies pay for a special dance for him. He never expected to lay eyes on someone that would change the course of his life.
Mia has always felt like a lost soul and keeps to herself. She finds herself out with the guys after work. They think it will be funny to try to embarrass her and have no idea of what they are really setting her up for. Her life will never be the same.
"Just pretend. Just pretend this is all normal and none of this is real and it’s just you and me. Right? It’s just you and me."
Mia and Seth find themselves wondering if they will ever be the same or able to escape what they've witnessed and experienced. They see obsessive behaviors get out of control, jealousy and betrayal that takes on a mind of its own, survival techniques that keeps them wondering if they will ever be able to go back to their normal life...if given the chance. They start to question everything that led them to Decadence and anyone who is a part of it. Is it Decadence or their demise?

I am not at all sure how to feel about this book. It is a great read for dark erotica that ends in a happily ever after. When I say dark, let me set the scene for you. This story is based on two main characters a male and female who have been abducted and locked away in the back of a strip joint called "Decadence". These two, and others like them, have been forced to perform as sex slaves. They have sex in a room where paying customers can watch them. To not comply with the demands of their captors would mean extreme pain and possibly even death.
They are not paid to do these things to each other. They are forced to do them to spare their lives.
Never expecting to feel anything except fear and disgust at her situation, Mia, clings to her "partner" Seth and trys to feel. But will these feelings continue? Can Mia or even Seth for that matter make things real? Will they ever escape these four walls that they are forced to live in? Why is no one looking for them?
Lynnette Brisia has written a good story with a solid plot and story line. It makes you stop and think, is it possible that this could be happening to our young college age adults somewhere today. The things that go on in this establishment will shock and suprise you.
Mature readers only 18+ as this has a lot of adult situations and the story is intense.

Decadence by Lynnette Brisia is a book I would fully recommend if you like dark suspense/romance book although I would for sure say this book is probably not good for anyone under 18 to read. Decadence is a new strip club that is very popular for very good reasons. The staff is unmatched and the private dance? Forget about it, you have never experienced something so erotic. Have you ever heard the saying it’s too good to be true? That could be the case with Decadence because while everyone is welcome, it could very be the last place they visit: something that Seth Ryan may just figure out the hard way. It’s Seth’s twenty-first birthday and what’s the best way for Ryan and his friends to celebrate his birthday? Well, by going to the most popular strip club: Decadence of course! While at the club, Seth’s attention is caught by a beautiful woman with a vine tattoo. He doesn’t get her name, doesn’t know anything about her except for the fact that she is beautiful and has a vine tattoo, and yet… he can’t seem to get her out of his head. He wants to know more about the woman, and that curiosity turns into obsession which could be worrying enough on its own, but unfortunately for Seth it isn’t his obsession he has to worry about. Seth caught the attention of the owner of Decadence, who has plans for both Seth and the woman with the vine tattoo.

I picked this book to read solely based on the blurb. It really made me wonder what could possibly happen. When you read the blurb don’t let the words “red room” make you think this is a book like any other you may have read. The very word “Decadence” could have a negative meaning or a positive one. This book is the same way. Just wow. A very interesting story line where a strip club gets turned into something more devious. So many questions pop up through-out the story. The characters are written in a way that makes you ache, hurt and even love them. While other characters need to line up for a throat punch!
This story is mostly about Seth. His birthday, his feelings, his family, his obsession. However, we do get to know a little about Mia as well. Seth and Mia are thrust into a world they know nothing about and in order to survive they need to learn quickly! Defiance is not an option. Looking on the bright side, these two are lucky they have each other. Decadence is not a light hearted, rainbow and unicorn kind of story. It may not be for everyone. It is dark and twisted and even makes you question things around you.

Decadence by Lynnette Brisia is a dark suspenseful romance. This is the first book I have read by Ms. Brisia. I loved her writing style and the plot line made a lasting impression on me. The character descriptions are so detailed that they pull you into the roller coaster of a ride from the very first page.
Seth and his buddies decide to go out or his birthday, and they end up at a strip club called Decadence. He is enjoying a lap dance with a girl with a vine tattoo. He doesn't know anything about her, but he can't seem to get her out of his head. He want to get to know her and is very intrigued by her beauty. He feels that something is wrong but his intrigue soon turns to obsession. The club is full of danger and secrets. Will Seth be able to lkeep Mia safe? Will they get away from the clutches of the evil owners of the club?
I wasn't able to put this book down, with all the twists and turns, the drama and intrigue makes you wonder what is coming next. Secrets are uncovered and dark strange twists occur. I was on the edge of my seat through the entire book. This is a must read for anyone who loves a dark suspenseful romance. You definitely won't be disappointed. Highly Recommended!

Definitely different.
I loved the different plot. Mia and Seth, were both easy to like. A lttle rough in its final print still, but the storyline was enough to forgive that. It felt so wrong, but so right to enjoy reading this short read.
