I really loved this book!

Georgia in the deep South has it’s customs and its own way of how life is lived and how one conducts themselves. Kennedy is a proper young lady raised to mind her manners and show respect at all times. Her teacher is her mother, a very cold, unloving, arrogant paragon of all things sophisticated, proper and wealthy. She isn’t a very nice person. At all. Nothing Kennedy does is ever good enough or done right.

Kennedy’s father allowed her to go against her mother’s wishes and attend college in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. There, she helps rehab horses and wounded military personnel and those with spinal cord injuries using the horses in her therapy. A failed attempt in a dating site geared toward military servicemen and women, Kennedy inadvertently meets Zach through an email. Zach is a SEAL serving in Afghanistan. After receiving a letter sent by Kennedy to a guy with a similar name, he attempts to correct the error and becomes interested in Kennedy’s sweet disposition and long, chattering emails.

Kennedy moves back to Georgia after graduation and gets a job at a horse ranch owned by Zach’s aunt which is a surprise to her. Zach decides that life is too short and he has had enough of being a soldier. His emails and skyping with Kennedy has shown him that something sweeter waits at home. Getting to know each other, Zach and Kennedy begin their relationship but a unwanted friend follows Kennedy from Colorado. As the danger of her stalker escalates, Kennedy discovers her own self as an independent young lady and steps out of the controlling shadow of her cold, calculating mother. Zach involves his SEAL Team brotherhood to help save Kennedy from her stalker/serial killer determined to have her for his next victim.

This story is full of twists and turns, keeping the pages turning. I loved how the story keeps the content building in intensity but also has that old South charm with integrity and manners. There is great respect for the way Kennedy handles her mother and heartfelt love in the way she reconnects with her father. I didn’t want to put this book down until I finished it. This is a feel good, hot romance with action and adventure as a bonus!

Cayce is one of my favorite authors. Have read almost all her books. She never fails to come through with my expectations of her writing! This book goes through quite a bit….war, death, some angst, serial killer, hateful and borderline abusive parents, redemption from other parents and finally true love. There are secondary characters, that based on what I further read; more books to come!!!

The book starts out in a war zone, so you have to wonder how this will transpire into a romance book; but faith in Cayce’s motto of always having HEA, keeps you going. It’s done in alternating POV, the transition is smooth; some overlap when necessary, but only for explanation sake, and not dragged on. The main female character, Kennedy, initially comes across as a bit of a wimp; caving to her mother’s demands to move away from what she truly wants to do. But after writing back and forth with our main male character, Zach, she starts to develop a back bone and eventually truly sticks it to her mother….the most humorous way possible. I truly enjoyed that scene and laughed out loud with joy! It has intense moments, especially while Zach is still overseas; nothing too much for those with a weak stomach, but you do get an honest ‘taste’ of what it might be like over there. After Zach is back home, and discovers Kennedy is being threatened, you can see where his civilian life will probably take a turn; and it definitely something to see continued…..hence the future possible books. Legal (in the real world), no, but definitely understandable!

You are left in a fairly good spot at the end of the book; wanting more and hoping that there is more information as to Zach and Kennedy’s life. No major cliff-hangers at the end! But you are definitely wanting to continue with the series!

I truly loved this book, I can surely see myself reading this again and again. Cayce’s style has definitely grown since her first book, and just makes me enjoy her books even more! Can’t wait for the next book in this series!

I really liked the idea of this story but the writing was clunky and disjointed - like another reviewer said - it has good bones but the execution was lacking. Each chapter alternated between the hero and heroine - which I usually love - but in this case, the author sometimes time jumped giving a scene from each of their point of views - which again, is fine but there seemed to be no consistency. Sometimes there was a time jump and other times there wasn't. I'd often find myself having to go back and reread the beginning of the chapter to make sure I was following. It didn't help having characters with similar names: Ella, Emma, Zane, Zach, and Kennedy's father was John and Zach's father was Jonathon? Come on now, help a reader out and don't do this!

I'm also not a big fan of telling instead of showing and there was an awful lot of telling in this book. Kennedy used her email correspondence with Zach to word vomit all over him. She has ALOT, and I mean ALOT, of issues that I got tired of hearing about, over and over and over again.

The sex scenes were clinical and there was a torture scene that was pretty graphic and justified in an odd way. Not to mention when the military guys get together, they talk about women in especially explicit ways. I have no doubt that is reality but I read these books for escapism, not for reality so it was kinda hard to hear these guys talk about women in such crude ways but then get on board with how wonderful they were to women they cared about. This book was just not my cup of tea.

Kennedy & Zach

Well, I'm not really sure how I feel about this one. Love the characters and bones of the story! I struggled with the writing style & execution of the story, however. The suspense portion involving a too-persistent suitor and Kennedy's mother seemed disconnected from the overall plot. And scenes jumped around a bit, making some of the story seem disjointed to me.

There were bits I enjoyed, though! Kennedy has some family issues, and finds her strength and courage to beak away from a toxic relationship with her mother. I love her relationship with her brother, Jason, and how they support each other.

Zach has a loving family, is a decorated SEAL, and all-around great guy! His relationships with his team, and his family get a thumbs up. I also enjoyed Jason & Savannah & the connections!! I definitely rooted for Kennedy & Zach's HEA, and love their interactions through email as well as while they became a true couple. 😁

Still, I'm not sure the rest of the series is for me, but the other guys in Zach's unit DO have interesting stories!

Storyline is a bit choppy

I liked this book but there were times when the storyline is chopped and I feel like I missed something. The first half of the book is Zach with his SEAL team and their missions and Kennedy's life under her mother's thumb. Then suddenly he's home, no last mission or goodbyes from the team he left and she's cut ties with her mother and has her own apartment. I wondered if there was actually a chapter missing. This happens a couple of times and I was not planning on continuing with this series for that reason, however the last few chapters bring all the characters back into play and the story ties up nicely. I've decided to read the next book in the series because I like the characters, hopefully the story will have a better flow and not leave the reader hanging in spots like the first book did. As with all series I would encourage you to read them in order so you know who all the characters are and their backstories.

Zach and Kennedy

I found Cayce as a fan fiction writer and was happy to see this story.

I enjoyed reading it. The relationship between Kennedy and Zach starts in a way that makes a great story.

Sadly....Kennedy grew up in a cold family. Thankfully, her brother and later her father are loving towards her. Which makes her feel she is not willing to have love of her own from a good man.

Zach grew up in a family full of love and parents that loved each other.

I enjoyed watching Zach and Kennedy's relationship grow as they changed for the better.

Can't wait for the next one!

Signed, SEALed, Delivered is the first in a series and has a really sweet romance set in amongst some of lifes ugliest situations. Kennedy Forrester is the smart girl with a heart of gold and an overbearing mother. Zach Michaels is the guy who ended up a SEAL to show up his NFL linebacker brother. They have both been exposed to the uglier side of life but their love story is incredibly sweet. This is the first book I’ve read by this author but I can assure you it won’t be my last. I really enjoyed this book.

Book one in the Trident Brotherhood series and is a military romance that starts out in a war zone. It's the story of Zach a Navy seal and Kennedy, the daughter of a social climbing controlling mother. Fate intervened and they meet because of a mix-up. A special love grows between the two. A great story that is hard to put down. Well written and heartwarming with great characters.

I voluntarily reviewed and ARC of this book for an honest review. Fate has a funny way of throwing two people together. Kennedy, a daughter of a controlling social climber, and Zack, an seal just out of the military. Kennedy is trying to strike out on her own. Zack is a 1/2 owner of a tattoo shop. Things always get in the way. You need to read the book to find out. Great read.

Zach Michaels comes across a letter from Kennedy Forrester by mistake and from there, the relationship between SEAL and civilian starts as friends, but slowly develops into more. Through letters, they learn more about each other, and the other aspects of their lives start to intertwine in the process. A cute, adventurous love story and a great beginning to the Trident Brotherhood series!

Zach & Kennedy

This is the my first book by this author, and I loved the plot and the characters. The author shows respect to the military and wrote slow burn romance that was unique. The writing was a little choppy for me but I have a feeling that this was her first novel, I’m hoping the flow gets better with each book because I fully intend to read the whole series.

Reading about the love between Zack and Kennedy is heartwarming. You can't help but root for this couple. With familial obligations on her part and the need to protect on his, you never know what could be in store for this pair. Fighting through it together makes this a true love story.

LOVE,HONOR,SACRAFICE

I'm a sucker when it comes to any story that revolves around military aspects. We have Zach who is a Navy Seal and is overseas doing what seals do, and we have Kennedy who is looking for her place in the world. Their story is very unique, and if it wasn't for a major mix up they may have never crossed paths. I'm looking forward to reading the other books in the series.

I always like an alpha hero with the romantic side. This is the first book in this series but looks like it's related to another I have not yet read. I thought it was a solid, well written story and will read more in this series as I'm now curious about the additional team members.

Love reading Military stories and I was pleasantly surprised. First time reading anything from Cayce Poponea and I want more. Signed, SEALed, Delivered opens the book to Seals, brotherhood and family.

Protect, Honor, Sacrifice, and Defend. It all starts with Zach receiving a letter from Afghanistan while on a Seal mission. The letter turned out to be scam. But then being the man that he was, he wanted to inform the woman who sent it.

Kennedy is a straight laced, follow rules and didn't want to disappoint her family. However she did have a backbone and stood up to her beliefs. When she received Zach's letter to inform her of the scam, it opened up a line of communication. Starting as friendship but then blossomed to a relationship. Being a small world, they both found out they lived in the same area. With one thing to another and Zach's arrival their romance and chemistry blossomed. Zach was a true protector. He protected his love. And when Kennedy had a stalker turned serial killer, Zach called upon his Seal brothers to take matters in their own hands.

Told in dual POV it was great to see both sides. I can't wait to dive into the next story.
