“Oh, oh God!’
He chuckled “No, baby girl, I’m your husband.”

Imagine catching the attention of prince charming a handsome older guy while on vacation with your mom in Vegas.

Then after a Cinderella ball waking up with a wedding ring on your finger you realize he is big-shot movie producer and indeed (Hollywood) royalty.

And then he whisks you away to his castle Beverly Hills mansion and while you finish school your evil stepmom and sisters villains try to break you apart.

That is what happened to Wren Alexis Bradford-Lockwood, Baby girl and Mr. Weston James Lockwood, Wes in Becoming Mrs. Lockwood.

This is their whirlwind love saga played out under the watchful eye of their kingdom a stunned world and the scrutinizing paparazzi.

Seven words to describe Mr. Weston James Lockwood, Wes: charming, secretive, moody, possessive, commanding, conflicted and dirty-talker.

Six words to describe Wren Alexis Bradford-Lockwood, Baby girl: sweet, naïve, impressionable, insightful, patient and conflicted.

3.5 Stars!!

This was my second full length novel by this author and while I didn’t love it as much as I loved the first, I enjoyed it and had a great time reading these two characters’ story. 'Becoming Mrs. Lockwood' was a well written, sweet and sexy Hollywood romance novel, filled with drama and angst and it will be perfect for you if you are in the mood for a fairytale-esque romance story.

Wren is an eighteen years high school student from Indiana who never expects to meet someone like Weston, a good-looking man, definitely not a boy, who seems so interested in her. She’s in Vegas with her mother when she meets this Modern-Day Prince Charming, a Hollywood celebrity whom she has an undeniable chemistry. Weston is taken aback by Wren’s beauty and purity from the very first moment, so they decide to spend a full-length day together. Both of them are scared to say the least next morning, when they realize they drank too much and got married. Wren is more than surprised to find out who Weston really is – a former Hollywood actor who over the years became a notorious producer. Both of them seem to regret their decision to get married since they realize their lives are so different and there is a considerable age difference between them. However, they decide to give this new relationship a chance since both of them believe it was fate who brought them together. What comes next is a series of events who make both Wren and Weston realize that marriage is more than hard. However, they are willing to do anything to make their marriage work.

While I liked this one, I can’t say it was the “perfect” book for me. I loved the writing and Mrs. Lynn storytelling and I’m looking forward to read more of her work, but unfortunately this one was just an okay read for me. However, I have to say that I liked the premise and how the story began.

Both Wren and Weston were great developed, endearing characters. Wren was a fantastic heroine. She was genuine, smart, strong, loyal and I loved the fact that she wasn’t for one minute immature or naïve. She figures out from the very beginning her marriage with Weston will be a challenge, not only for her, but for Weston as well, but she’s determined to give their relationship an honest try. I liked how she handled some situations as the story unfolded, how she was willing to compromise in her new relationship. Weston was simply fantastic! Sure, he wasn’t perfect, but I think this was one of the reasons I liked his character as much as I did. He was a great brother and boss and with Wren was simply awesome from the moment they met. Sweet, caring, considerate, he was perfect for Wren in every way and yeah, they complemented each other perfectly. I liked how dominant and possessive he was at times and of course his sexy dirty-talking.

I really enjoyed how these two characters’ relationship progressed. Everything between them felt so real. The author did a great job with this aspect. I loved how sweet and caring they were with each other as the story unfolded and the tenderness between them at times was heart-melting. The age gap between these two didn’t bother me at all, this aspect of the story making everything being more interesting IMO. The way they came to respect, trust and love each other was really great and the passion and chemistry between them was so well done and palpable with single one of their interactions. As for the sexy times between them – OMG, so damn hot! The story is filled with lots of sexy, dirty scenes, which I totally loved.

The supporting characters were as well portrayed as the main ones. They were engaging, interesting to read about and most of them likeable.

What didn’t work for me here was the amount of drama as the story unfolded. While the angst was entertaining for me, there was too much drama for my liking. Also, the story dragged a little, the story-line becoming a little repetitive at some point.

Overall, a great read!

I’ve read about all of KI Lynn’s books, and I have to say, Becoming Mrs. Lockwood is one of my favorites. Though no one can top my Nathan Thorne, Weston Lockwood is pretty incredible. This was a sweet, sexy and swoony read!

Wren Bradford is on fall break and goes to Vegas with her mom… During the trip, all Wren’s mom wants to do is gamble, which isn’t much fun for Wren seeing as she’s only 18. So she spends a lot of time at the hotel’s Starbucks drinking coffee and reading. She has a chance meeting with a handsome stranger who asks to spend the day with her. Since Wren is going a little stir-crazy, site seeing seems perfect. That is how she meets Weston Lockwood. Weston is a hollywood producer, but Wren doesn’t know that. The two of them really hit it off. That night, after dinner and a few bottles of champagne… well, it’s Vegas. I’m sure you can guess what happens…

Wren’s life is turned completely upside down as she tries to make the best of the situation she and Weston are in. There is a spark there, and they want to explore it before calling it quits. Wren is thrown into LA when she’s used to a small town outside of Indianapolis. She’s away from her friends, family, and going to a fancy private school. Things are completely different for her. I loved Wren’s character. She faced her challenges head on, and in this crazy situation, she was so relatable.

Weston Lockwood embodied everything I love in a hero. He wasn’t perfect, but I don’t love my heroes perfect. The imperfections and growth sometimes make the man. I love the connection he had with Wren, how much he loved her and how protective he was of her.
“That’s what she does to me. All the damn time. I can barely breathe without her—she’s become my life force.”

description

If you haven’t figured it out yet, this is a bit of a forbidden love story. Wren is an 18 year old high school senior, and Weston is a 31 year old man. I didn’t mind the age gap one bit. Especially seeing as how mature Wren was. They were a great match, and sometimes age is just a number.

When I started this book and looked at the length, I thought OMG this book will take me forever to read. It’s twice as long as most of my normal books. For some reason, though- this book read so fast. I was engaged 100% of the time and didn’t want to put it down. I don’t care about a book being long, as long as it doesn’t drag and holds my attention. Becoming Mrs. Lockwood definitely did that.

K.I. Lynn’s writing is fantastic as always. She writes the best heroes and her stories are always captivating, steamy and have just the right amount of angst. Not only were the H/h great, but there were also a lot of amazing side characters. If you’re looking for a sexy, fairy-tale Cinderella type story, this is one I highly recommend!

"I was overcome with him, with feeling him inside me. Each time he slammed into me, all my worries flew away."
description

Becoming Mrs. Lockwood is the latest and greatest by K. I. Lynn! This contemporary romance offers a blend of forbidden romance, Hollywood glam, passion, tenderness, and an intricate plot all wrapped up in a modern fairy tale.

description
"Baby girl, I want you so badly."
Wren Bradford is an ordinary girl on a vacation with her mom in Vegas. Despite her best efforts to enjoy the strip, she spends most of her time hanging in the hotel Starbucks while her mom is gambling. When she meets an attractive older man she thinks she is in for a magical night, little did she know her life was about to be forever changed.

description
"Our chemistry was undeniable. My body craved him. Even with the pain, I wanted to consume him and be consumed by him."
When Wren Bradford wakes up, she is no longer Wren Bradford but instead Wren Lockwood. She and the dashing Weston ended their night of fun with a drunk "I do"! Even though Wren is only a senior in HS, she is 18, and therefore the nuptials are 100 percent legal and binding. Although an annulment would seem to make the most sense, Wren and Weston have an attraction to each other, and they decide to give their marriage a go. Weston takes Wren home to his Hollywood home and Wren is thrust into a world like she has never experienced before. It turns out Weston is a well-known Hollywood producer and former actor and his new "child bride" is sure to bring scandal when the word gets out. Weston and Wren decide to keep their marriage under the radar until they get to know each other better but when the pressures of the paparazzi, ex-flings, friends, and family all collide it will take more than physical chemistry to bring these two through the fire. Thankfully Weston and Wren share a unique bond and although their love may need time to grow it is unique and lasting.

description
"There in Weston's arms, I knew where I was meant to be. I wanted to give him his dream."
Told in dual POV, Becoming Mrs. Lockwood is absolute perfection. The setting is picturesque and full of intrigue with the contrast of the Hollywood glam clashing with the ordinary world of an all-American girl. Weston and Wren are everything forbidden with their age difference, their different lifestyles and different upbringings and watching these two come together was like watching a modern fairy tale magically unfold on a big screen. The sexual chemistry between the two was off the charts, and Weston's broody alpha-male antics were nothing short of intoxicating. Wren, albeit young, was smart, sassy, and quite talented. I loved the way she connected with Weston's brother and fit perfectly into his world. Together Weston and Wren made each other complete. I am not normally a fan of the forbidden romance trope, and yet, I found the characters actions to be entertaining and endearing and the unique plot twists kept me entertained the entire read. I loved reading this book so much I have already gone back to re-read my favorite parts.

description

Overall, I cannot recommend Becoming Mrs. Lockwood enough. This complicated story is full of tenderness, sexy steam, and unforgettable moments of bliss. Weston and Wren are two fantastic characters that you are going to want to meet! I only hope that Ms. Lynn will give us more from this world because I will never get enough!

DNF @ 80 Percent

I tried I really did...

description

I liked the premise and even the two main characters. However, the nonsense plot and scenes with Natalie & Mallory were lame at the least.

description

As for the sex scenes, they just seem to pop up regularly when there’s a lull leading into the next hurdle for the couple to jump. The age difference for this couple was interesting yet the senior in high school Mrs. Lockwood just became an anyone character to me by the point I read up to.

”Pound my fucking pussy!”

description

Overall, this is a long book that felt like it starts and stops repeatedly throughout, well at least to the eighty percent I made it to. Hope you have a much better experience than I did reading this story.

The beginning of the novel was fairly predictable and cute, I mean, based on how much you can predict from that vague synopsis! LOL. I'll give you one hint though: Vegas, baby! But it almost felt sort of whimsical and fairytale like. Every girl wants to be swept off her feet by a charming prince, so why couldn't this happen to Wren? The one thing that felt really off to me though was Karen's response. I mean come on, who does this? Who thinks this way?

So want to know a little secret about me? Large age gaps in novels (and in theory, real life too) kind of freak me out. Like, I cringe. So with this story, you bet yourself I had a good little cringe! But then something different happened. After a few moments of uncomfortableness, it started to fade and I was actually doing okay. Reading about these two and how their relationship was building made it work for me. These two made sense together.

After the first little bump in the road, I love love loved how sweet and tender Weston was to Wren. This situation could've gotten messy, quite quickly and he was nothing but completely supportive and caring for her. He seemed like not only a good guy, but you could just tell that he was going to be so good for her. Wren's little freak outs were completely justifiable and seemed normal to me, but Weston took it all in stride and helped her along, life a good husband should, of course!

“How do you feel about this?” I asked. I knew my feelings, and even with my nerves and fear, I really liked Weston.
“Do you think I regret this? I thought I’d been pretty obvious regarding how I feel about you.”
“But your brother . . .”
“He hasn’t seen what I see every day when I’m with you. An intelligent, strong, caring, beautiful woman. That’s what you are, and as you get older I can only see those qualities getting better. They’re reasons I didn’t want to let you go.”
Conversations with Sophie and Julia surfaced, and I couldn’t stop myself. “That, and I’m a normal, average girl?”
His gaze didn’t waver, didn’t falter. “That’s one of my favorite parts about you.”
“I’m not a Hollywood girl.”
“And I don’t want a Hollywood girl. I want happiness. For once I want to be truly happy. I want something real.”

So you know how everyone has those certain tropes that they shy away from? The ones that they aren't a fan of and just prefer to not read? Yeah... For me that trope is BDSM. If possible, I'd avoid it. And I had absolutely no possible reason to think that I would be reading about it. The first few love scenes were fantastic and well written (not to say the others were, just not my cup of tea.), but then something weird happened. The characters all took a weird turn into BDSM land. Completely randomly. Then they'd leave. And later revisit. I just didn't get it! I understand spicing up sex scenes but really didn't find this necessary. I don't believe a hero can change back and forth that quickly.

I like how it's not just a happy go lucky romance novel with a conflict near the end and then an HEA. These two had an unconventional story and an unconventional love. They did things differently. I loved when we got to the angst and the tough parts because marriage IS tough! It's a partnership and you have to work through it together.

“I’m just a girl, sitting on a man’s lap, and asking him to love her.”

This book got messy, and it got messy a lot faster than you might expect it to! It's far from your normal romance story and the author treats it as such. This entire segment felt so important to the story and it was incredibly well portrayed, I can't stress that enough. Marriage isn't always the good times, so I loved seeing how these two acted, reacted, and conquered the bad as well.

"There was no movement, no more talking. He just sat there. My eyes were closed, but I would bet money he was staring at me, wondering what happened to his baby girl. She woke up, no longer in Oz."

Now don't fret, because even after all of this, the story doesn't slow down! The drama that came after this was fantastic and I love how the characters faced it head on. It was well done, they worked as a team and strengthened their bond in the process. This section also added a nice mystery element to the book in which the characters had to solve what was actually happened, why it was happening, and how to stop it.

I'm a little surprised that I'm saying this but the pacing was excellent and the story flowed really well. When I first opened my kindle app and had a copy of Becoming Mrs. Lockwood, my face blanched. Seriously, it's almost ten thousand locations on the kindle and I was only a minute or two away from freaking out! I didn't know how I was suppose to read all of this so quickly in between other books but do not fear, it not only moves quickly, but you're so immersed in the story it doesn't even feel like time is passing. Thankfully too, it didn't take as long to read as I feared it would. On a side note, I would happy read this story again, despite the length. It's SO good.

"Sometime around midnight I felt arms wrap around me and warmth surround me. He placed kisses on my temple, neck, and shoulder while whispering that he was home and how much he’d missed me. Only then, with Weston beside me, was I truly home and able to fall into a deep slumber."

Every good story needs a great group of supporting characters too, especially after the type of situation Wren and Weston found themselves in and KI Lynn doesn't disappoint! Daniel, Charlotte and Julia were all such solid assets to the lives of the main characters, I don't think they would've done so well without them. Even by the end I was on Team Miles and Team Aaron too. It's crazy how love will bring people around.

“Aaron, she’s been here for two months now. If she hasn’t fallen for your charms yet, I don’t think it’s going to happen,” Logan said with a shake of his head. “Plus, she has a boyfriend. And I’m much better looking than you. If anything, she would want me over you.”
“Are not!” Aaron protested.
“Dude,” Logan scoffed and gestured to his face. “Teen People’s top twenty-one hottest stars under twenty-one—number four.”

Is it crazy that I want this to become a movie or a TV show or something? This is the first time I've ever read a story and wished to see it play out in real life. It's the type of story and written in such a way that you can practically picture it playing out in your mind, seeing how everyone reacts and moves. I would binge watch this in a heartbeat!

Just a few songs that came to mind while reading. All either had to deal with a certain scene, theme, or emotional state and I think they all work pretty well.

- I Won't Give Up by Jason Mraz
- Say Something by a A Great Big World
- By Now by Marianas Trench

The beginning and the middle of the story were big selling points for me. We get a great hook, instant chemistry, tons of emotions, a protective hero, and all the other good stuff, but then the story just sort of stopped progressing at 80%. Was the rest really necessary? I feel like it could've been condensed into two or three chapters and we could just call it a day. I kept waiting for something to happen but then nothing important did. Condensing is a big issue these days I'm finding and if there's anything I can say, it's figure out exactly what's important and stick to it.

The epilogue... Wasn't my favourite. I wasn't a fan of how it was broken into three different segments and switched POV in the middle of it. I think this added some unnecessary confusion and ultimately the epilogue should've just been one POV, in one time frame. But this also falls into the ending needing to be shortened. So other than this and the random trip to BDSM land (again, personal preference), -- which are both minor grievances in my opinion -- I LOVED this book!! Seriously, I'm going to be purchasing a paperback copy for my bookshelf when it goes live. <3 I need some Weston and Wren to hold in my hands.

Super excited to read more from this author! The writing totally transported me into the story and I was captivated. Other than sleep and work, I could NOT put this story down! Laundry? Who cares. Food? Who needs it? I needed to finish this book and know what happened all the while falling in love with it in the process.

Wren Bradford is a simple girl from Indiana who is excited to finish her senior year & start college at USC. She's looking forward to some independence & a change from her boring life. She heads to Las Vegas for her fall break with her mom. She wants to see the sights, but all she ends up doing is sitting in the lobby of the hotel reading while her mother hits the casinos. One day while reading a gorgeous stranger named Weston Lockwood strikes up a conversation with her. She's never been so physically affected by a man before & is enjoying flirting with him. They begin spending time together while in Vegas and Wren just loves being with him.

Weston Lockwood is a big movie producer in Los Angeles. He's one of the most eligible bachelor's in L.A. & known as Hollywood's golden boy. A chance encounter with a beautiful woman has him smitten. He wonders if there's such a thing as love at first sight, because he's never felt this strong of a connection with someone so fast. Even more shocking to Wes is that Wren doesn't seem to have a clue who he is. It's refreshing to be liked for yourself and not your fame.

 photo F6352FD7-E0EC-4E8E-935D-9DE5F7343BB8_zps3fpp4pp1.png

Wes & Wren have a few drinks with dinner & wake up the next day to find they are married. Initially they are both horrified, but soon decide neither can deny there's something between them they want to explore. They aren't ready to say goodbye. Wes wonders if Wren is his one chance at having something real, and finding true happiness.

Wren leaves the only home she's ever known & her old life behind. She heads to California where she will live in a world of mansions, paparazzi, & extreme wealth. She doesn't care about material things & the Hollywood life. She only wants to be with Wes. Wes wants to live as normal a life as possible & not be in the spotlight so much. He adores Wren & just wants to take care of her and be with her. They try to find time as a couple while avoiding scandal, but it's not easy living under a microscope in the public eye. We get some angst as Wes & Wren try to navigate their new life together.

-I felt so safe and secure in his presence. So cared for.

-"There's something strong between us. It may be new, but it is too strong to be denied."

-I felt warm, safe, and cherished.

-No man would ever compare to him, no man would ever be able to satisfy me like him.

I loved this book so much & fell hard for Weston Lockwood! He was super swoony, loves hard and with his whole heart. He was gentle, loving, sexy and alpha all rolled into one delicious package. This story was a bit taboo with the age difference, but I couldn't get enough. The sexy times were hot as hell. The book is like a fairy tale Cinderella story. It's also a long book, but it's so fabulous it flew by. I was totally consumed by this story. I hope we get a book for Lance next.

1.5 or 2 stars.

Whew! This book is long.   I gave myself a pat in the back for finishing it.  I was in the mood for a hollywood romance and this fit the bill.  BUT it seriously failed to give me the feels I needed.

Did I enjoy it? tough question. I mean, I was liking it when they met in a hotel lobby where they were both staying in Vegas.  h did not recognize the H ( actor turned movie producer).  Basically, the H is a hollywood royalty.  They went out on a date, got drunk and woke up married. h was uprooted from her life and went to live with him.  It was all rainbows at first but then, H started behaving horribly.  Couldn't understand it.  I didn't get it especially when the h saw him kissing his ex and not pushing her away.  Dude, that excuse was lame.   Too much ex drama llama.  *dejected sigh*

What an absolutely amazing read! Already a fan of KI Lynns', I had no doubt I'd like it. What I didn't expect was to have my heart completely stolen. The premise is unique, a young girl meets a man in Vegas and marries him. You might NOT think it's unique but there's so much more to this story. It starts with a flawed dirty-talking hero Weston Lockwood, and a sweet, naïve, and adventurous young women named Wren. My heart was pounding throughout the entire read but for entirely different reasons; the excitement of Wrens to life, the possibility of true love, to the machinations of a conniving ex, this story is skillfully plotted and wonderfully executed. It's is a fun and sexy read that also tugs and twist at the heart.

Lynn writes some of the best "dirty talkers" and Weston is well, near the very top. It's especially fun as his young bride is an eighteen year old high school student who doesn't even recognize this former actor. Lynn takes the expected connection between these two and molds it into a wonderful first love fairy tale like story. There are so many challenges for this couple; his status among the Hollywood elite and hers as a high school senior, the paparazzi, and well, that conniving ex. It's a lot for two people to endure. But Wren opens up Weston's world (as he does hers) and they seem to weather the storm so well. Weston is so charismatic, a bit sexy alpha possessive, and generous beyond reason - he offers Wren the world so why walk away without trying?

“I’m just a girl, sitting on a man’s lap, and asking him to love her.”

Wren is absolutely fabulous! There are times this eighteen year girl seems smarter than the worldly thirty-one year. She's more perceptive of people than either she or Weston realizes. His desire to shield Wren from Hollywood, combined with his poor communication skills, wreak havoc on poor Wren. I wept for her as she battles Westons' moods and growing distance. There's lots of drama ( argh, the angst!) which makes it a fast paced story. I nearly read it start to finish but real life got in the way. I reluctantly put it down for the night but thought about it all the next day. I think I'm a bit surprised by how much a connected with Wren and how much I loved seeing Weston work towards winning her love. I highly recommend this 5 star story!

“The potential of us is so beautiful. I’ve had a vision of the kind of woman I always wanted in my life and you are her. That’s why I asked you to marry me. I know it is. I couldn’t let you go. I need you. I’ve waited so long . . . I live in a world full of fakeness , and you are real. I feel sane with you. You are grounding , refreshing, and real beauty.”

5 hot, steamy, unconventional stars!!!

This isn't your typical love story, where boy meets girl, they date, fall in love and get married, oh no, indeed it is not.

Weston wanted an all american girl next door. One that was not from "his world." He certainly didn't expect to meet that girl in Vegas of all places.

Wren was a typical high school girl forced to go on vacation with her mom to Vegas. As you know Vegas isn't really for people under 21. If Wren thought she would be bored and lonely while her mom hit the casinos she was dead wrong. With a chance encounter with a hot man, not boy, Wren's life as she knew it was about to change.

AHHHH!!! to say I loved everything about this book, is a huge under statement!! Lets face it, the odds were definitely not in their favor, but that didn't matter. They were determined to make it work.

This story was sexy, and oh so hot. It definitely had me burning up. I loved both Weston and Wren! I loved them together! and I loved the idea of this story, I might even call it a bit taboo when it comes to their age difference, but I love that the age difference was a factor in this. Again, K.I. Lynn did not disappoint!

Normally I would be very happy with this type of story but this was just too predictable and cliched for my liking. I found it hard to believe the insta love between the H/H in this story and the fact this big film star aged 37 fell for an 18 year old. It just did not click with me.

I knew I should have stopped reading this book as soon as they went on a date and Wren's mother was fine with her 18 year old HS Senior with a stranger who was 31. Then they got married and again the mother encouraged her to go live with him instead of getting an annulment. Now let me say I love age gaps and usually I don't care the how big they are but I want a man not a boy. Weston was a boy who was also a wimp. I didn't like anyone and the dialogue was so immature they all sounded like young adults. So since I'm not enjoying anything about this book it's time to give up and move on.

“Dorothy, you’re not in Kansas anymore. Follow my yellow brick road, and you’ll be fine.”

Wren Bradford, 18, senior high school student, is in Las Vegas with her mom and bored out of her mind. Her mom ditched her to gamble and she just hangs around drinking coffee and reading. When a handsome stranger strikes up a conversation, Wren is captivated He was handsome. Very handsome. Medium length brown hair, striking blue eyes, and a strong jaw. A slim and fit physique was noticeable under his crisp suit.

Weston Lockwood, 31, former movie star turned movie producer, is for business in Las Vegas and meets Wren, they have an instant attraction and spend the day exploring Las Vegas. Weston takes Wren out to dinner, they have champagne and wake up the next morning with a hangover and a marriage license!
Weston, with his baby girl-next-door, and Wren, with her prince charming, start their marriage. With the help of a lot of good friends, insta-love and a buck load of hot sex they are off to a great start.

“Holy shit! This is what you’ve been thrusting in me?” I asked in awe, my hand lightly stroking up and down his hardened length.
“You never looked?”
“Maybe a glance, just not this up close and personal.” I couldn’t even touch my fingers to my thumb.
“Feel free to take a real close look whenever you want, baby girl. You can get a great view from your knees”

Will they be able to keep the forces working against them at bay? Or will Weston let his past sabotage them? Will their marriage survive?

It was a nice story but, IMO, too long, it could have easily been 100 pages shorter. It is a sweet
love-at-first-sight story with a tiny bit of angst that did not needed all these pages. Some situations were too long making it bit boring, although the potential was there. I also would have like if the author had elaborated more on some characters and relationships, like Weston and his parents. This needed more developing and not the few lines in which they were handled.

The blurb drew me to this story and I was looking forward to starting it and getting a good age gap romance. I knew going in that the heroine was young and I was happy to see that she may have only been eighteen but she was mature for her age. But as the story went on I felt like she not only got more immature but so did the drama that would pop up. It all quickly became too much and by the end I was heavily skimming. I started to get bored with the story and especially when some over the top drama was still happening near the end. Overall, this wasn't a winner for me but I really liked the premise and think many people would enjoy it.

Every girl has dreams of meeting Prince Charming, or at least I know I did.

A fairy tale-like meeting of love at first sight.
Real life and fairy tales are very different.

I’m just a small town Indiana girl that had a chance encounter with one of Hollywood’s golden boys. You may think you know where this story goes—not even close.

Life is different. Marriage is hard. It’s even worse when you’re strangers.

Becoming Mrs. Lockwood is a very unconventional romance that includes a H/h meeting in Vegas and falling into marriage. Unconventional due to our older Hero and our still in high-school, but legal, heroine.

While Wren is trying to not be board in Sin City she bumps into a handsome stranger who decides to spend the day showing her the sights. After dinner and a few drinks, they wake up... married.

But Wren didn’t realize the handsome older man was the famous former actor – turned producer and she never imagined her mother urging her to really give this marriage thing a shot. Even if that means, moving to Hollywood with a complete stranger.

But that is not where the story ends. As much the start of this book is all about the drama – the real story comes into play as these two navigate their relationship, Weston’s fame and trying to keep everything on the down low until Wren graduates to give the paparazzi less to write about.

I am a big-big fan of KI Lynn. I love the way she writes her alpha males – I love how filthy they can be and the sweet they show, when called for. So no doubt that Weston lit up the pages of this book with his dirty talk and even dirtier fucking.

I am a little on the fence about my feels on this one. I enjoyed it. It was hot. But I didn’t love-love it. I liked-loved it. #IAmNotMakingSense Overall, I enjoyed it –it isn’t my favorite of KI’s books – but I still got an early copy, bought the e-book and ordered a signed paperback – so it was still a winning read.

I loved this modern day, somewhat fairytale-esque romance and from the easiness of the first few chapters I was engrossed in Wren & Weston's story... all the while holding my breath waiting for the glass slipper to drop.

Turns out, sometimes the princess isn't the one who needs rescuing. In fact she might need to be the rescuer... and just of herself, if the prince is too blind to get his shit together.

Wren is smart, strong, real and likeable. You can't help but grow your respect for her as their story unfolds, and for someone of her age, she's smarter & more clued in than most adults. I loved that about her, and given the situation she finds herself in she's going to need every little bit of it.

Weston is just swoony-masculine-dominant deliciousness... but is also hiding behind some fairly solidly built castle walls.

Their chemistry is palpable - but chemistry & fairytales will only take you so far in a relationship if that's all you're relying on to hold you together.

There are plenty of feels in this read; love, laughter, confusion, compassion, frustration, anger, disappointment, friendship, jealousy... to name just a few. There a few twists, some suspense, some drama & I loved it all.

3 stars...

the book is tooo much sweet plus sugary for me......

the thing which I don,t like in this book is the hero....he is so confused and can't stand by his own decisions...he needs someone assurance before deciding something....which is kind of turn off for me....

I like my alpha hero as strong and determined like hero in SIX by k I Lynn...

however I love the heroine ...she is kinda genuine...

plot of the story is Prince charming met the ordinary girl .......

overall this book for me is 3 stars...

“The need to stay together for fear that you would fall apart without each other. Fighting for each other through everything to find ultimate love.”

“True love”

This book was so great that I didn’t want to finish it!
I stated it in may and 2 days into reading I was like I can’t finish this book, so I delayed the process as much a possible. Just know that I will be rereading this and getting the paperback ASAP!

I have no words to explain the intricacies of this book
All I can say that this characters will stay with me ❤️
The book was beautifully written, and the characters were unforgettable. Weston and Wren were an incredible power couple in bringing to life the fantasy of a modern-day girl who meets her Prince Charming in the most unexpected ways, through love at first sight ☺️

All time favorite read!!

This was the book with the weirdest premise I read in a long time. Serves me right for trusting a book by its cover.

WARNING! SOME SPOILERS AHEAD

Wren is 18yo (EIGHTEEN!! This needs to be highlighted), and still in highschool. On a trip with her mother to Las Vegas, she has a chance encounter with 31yo Weston. They have an insta-connection and end up having a drunken night (which felt too much like a younger girl being pressure to drink by an older creep, but why not, it was expensive champagne, right?). Their drunken night led to a very alcoohol induced mistake, they get married, after knowing each other for 2 days. So what would the mother of a highschooler do when she learns that her daughter has been taken advantage of by an older guy? She ships her to live a happily ever after marriage with the older (rich and famous) man of course! Because, it's FATE (and not alcoohol).

I almost stopped reading at that point, but it's was so crazy that I really wanted to know how lower it would get. And it didn't disappoint me.

If I learnt that the guy I just married was a famous movie producer, the first thing I'd do would be googling him in order to at least know what I got myself into. I am sure it would be most people reflex. Well, Wren doesn't even think about it. She spend most of her time in a candid stupor, not thinking about the most important things. Stupidity much?

There is nothing sexy about a man marveling about his child bride being a virgin, and nothing sweet about him calling her "baby girl".

Are the expressions "driping head of his c*ck" and "dripping core" supposed to be sexy?

The first time they have sex, after knowing each other for 3 days, they don't even think/talk about protection and she has no question at all about his STD statut and no fear of pregnancy of course (she's not on the pill).

"In a way, he's still a thirteen-year-old boy. Fame ripped him from his childhood innocence" Hum not sure that's a great way to endear Weston to me.

Then they started talking about babies, few days in that rushed marriage, with her not even graduating from highschool yet. Did I already point that she was stupid?

Then the book took a sudden turn into mild BDSM, with no warning whatsover, even for Wren.

Half way through the book I started to get bored. But the author succeeded in injecting a little dose of good drama. Yeah! Not the jealous ex thing though, that I could have done without, but their other issues felt real and understandable. Unfortunately, the good thing only last for 3 chapters after going back to bad again because the attention was pulled from the interesting part to focus on the stupid ex thing.

Then more stupid things happened when she cried about not wanting to be a secret anymore to after start crying when predically people went wild and mean with their first public outing.

And here I can't believe I read this book from beginning to end. Ridiculous premise, 3 chapters in the middle of the book with great potential, a lot of cringy moments, some good redeeming sex scenes (not all of them).
