Received an ARC in exchange for an honest review!!

I See You is the second book in the Seeing You series by A.P. Hallmark. The book begins right where the first one ended. Matthew and Joy's relationship is in trouble from the events that occurred in I'll Be Seeing You. Matthew is clearly remorseful and apologizes several times to Joy but she is hurt and feels betrayed by everyone. Most of the storyline is them trying to fix their relationship and dealing with Matthew's ex-fiancé. I thought Joy was a little too stubborn and just came off as petulant. Matthew had my complete support and it pissed me off that he suffered as much as he did.

The secondary characters were great, especially Matthew's mom. I freaking loved her and how she acted and what she said. The book was highly entertaining and the writing was well done. The only thing that took away from my complete enjoyment was that around 85% things seemed to move in fast forward. There were too many things happening and a lot of time skips. This made for missing details that I would have really liked.

Good conclusion to the series and to Joy & Matthew's relationship.

This is the sequel to I’ll Be Seeing You. It was as good, if not better than the first book. This could be, because it cleared everything up, and you find out if Joy decides to have the surgery or not. Things move rapidly, in the beginning and you eventually get to what you want to know……will she see again, or will this surgery be like all the rest.

You also find out what happens to Matthew’s ex-fiancee; and how she could find out about Matthew’s plans for his experimental surgery. Blackmail does not look good on Emma!

It was a bit frustrating in the beginning, when Joy would not listen to Matthew, when he tried to explain his reasoning, and that YES he was indeed going to tell her. Thankfully, his mother was able to verbally slap Joy into listening to everyone involved!

Excellent book, so glad I found it and read it. Makes a wonderful vacation read and has the right amount of uneasiness of the characters and dread whether will find themselves back to each other. Minor secrecy as to how things were found out; but “common sense” as to how Emma did it! Old habits die hard!

The conclusion of Matthew and Joy's story picks up where the first left off. While trying to heal from the hurt caused by his ex, Matthew and Joy find themselves in the middle of her crazy. When things are finally back to where they should be, plans for the future begin.
When I began this book, I had trouble getting into it. I felt that the characters were acting childish and whiny. While I grew to love them, the insecurities held by both caused me worry for their future (even if they are fictional).
All in all it was a great book and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good romance with a twist.
