I abosolutely loved getting more of Claire and Daniel's story! I adored Daniel in A Matter of Trust and this book just cemented it for me!

A Moment of Truth finds Daniel and Claire learning to deal with their long distance relationship, as Claire's new career blossoms and Daniel's career really starts to take off. They face many obstacles in their path to happiness...with Claire still so full of insecurities when it comes to Daniel loving her, her mother still causing her headaches and adding to her insecurities, and outside forces determined to cause trouble between our lovebirds.

This book just made me so happy. Even though Claire still frustrated me in this one, she really has come a long way. And Daniel, Daniel is just darling beyond belief. His love for Claire never wavers, even with the difficulties that present themselves. The ending of this book is perfect and so swoon-worthy, I think it's one of my favorite endings and epilogues ever- well done Ms. Ruby!

This picks up right where the first one left off. Once again, Dan is swoon worthy. I'd love to have him as my man. He knows exactly what to say and do. Claire got on my nerves a bit. She had a tendency to run when things got hard in the first book and kept that up here. Then, when Dan told her to wait a few weeks, she went into panic mode because she FINALLY realized what was important. I STILL didn't like her mom and the excuse she gave for the way she treated her was unacceptable in my opinion.

I’m a total loss at where to start this review because I loved this book so damn much. I want to scream BUY THIS BOOK ITS AMAZING !!!!! and leave it there, but I know I have to say more than that. So let me try.

I absolutely loved the first book A Matter of Trust. I fell head over heels for Dan and Claire along with the Fairy SlutMothers and Colin. So I knew going in that this would be no different. What I didn’t expect and I really should have, was for this book to be even better than the first and that I would fall even harder for these characters. I uber love this book as you will see. I’m going to make a big call here and say that this book is as close to Rom-Com perfection as it can get.

I know, I know this is a huge call and readers might not agree, but it’s a genre I read a lot of and every now and then a book comes along and smacks you head the head with its awesomeness and this dear reader is one of them. To me it’s pure Rom-Com perfection.

From the first page to the very last that left me goofy grinning and in serious ovary trembling swoonage, I loved this book. It was funny, sweet, hot (hello Mr Fifteen Minutes), gave me the sniffles more than once, both sad and happy, heart jitters and all the feels. ALL THE FEELS!!!!!

If you’ve had the extreme pleasure of reading book 1, A Matter of Trust then you will be happy to know that this book picks up directly where it left off. If you are new, don’t worry you won’t be lost. The author has done a tremendous job of making Truth a standalone but at the same time connected to Trust.

Truth is more about what happens after the HEA reunion, when reality rears its head and puts its demands on a new relationship. How can Dan and Claire manage their newly solidified relationship when both their careers are taking off and pulling them in different directions? Can their love be enough?

It was a true joy to read these two navigate their way through the treacherous Hollywood relationship waters. From meeting the parents and family (hers, awkward, his, so much fun), to their friends hooking up, to their work trying to keep them apart it was so worth every word. Plus the last chapter and epilogue alone are worth buying the book. I sprung a happy tears leak while reading it and may have ignored real life so I could inhale it and don’t regret it at all.

I could go on for a million more words saying how much I loved this book, but I will save you from that. You’ve suffered enough of my gushing. What I will say is this, it’s not every day a book like this comes around and when they do, you grab onto them with both hands and devour them. This is most certainly one of those books. I can’t wait to do a re-read already. It owns a place in my heart as one of my favourite books ever. Well done Q.T. Ruby, well done and thank you.

Praise to the 15 Minute King

This is a continuation of the previous book. I haven't read the first book and although I missed out on knowing how Claire and Dan get together this story does share some of that although not in detail. Moment of truth starts with Claire and Dan in their new relationship and goes from there and really it felt more like a standalone.

Claire and Dan are obviously back together after a break up. Dan is an actor, a very hot actor I may add otherwise known as Mr Beautiful and Claire is a musician.

Dan's job takes him away for weeks at a time and wanting to keep their relationship private Claire has to wait for his return each time.

A story told in claire's pov, steady paced with a realistic feel, the struggles of balancing a relationship, the distance and travelling, keeping the press at bay along with Claire's trust issues and her interfering mother (god I hated that woman with her wicked, uncaring and put down words)

Claires friends are a great support, Claire is insecure which is annoying if you like a strong heroin but reading between the lines and this is obviously in the previous book she was jilted at the alter so I suppose this effects a person's trust. The humour and banter between the girls is awesome, Claire despite her hangups is very witty, now that Is something I do like in a character.

Dan what can I say about Dan other than swoon, he was damn perfect.

QT Ruby has a written a brilliant story with a great balance of drama, angst, humour, romance and intimate moments.

"You're not perfect; I'm not perfect"
My back arches slightly as he gradually slips inside, and damn his fullness feels so close to what I imigine perfect to be
"But we're pretty perfect together"

"For fifteen minutes anyway"

Great characters that are so made for each other, I totally got swept away with the plot.

Would I read more from this author? definitely.

Arc gratefully received for review

This book starts off exactly where the previous one ended.
Claire and Dan are getting comfortable with their relationship. Learning how to cope with their daily lives, press and Claire's career taking off.

But things aren't as easy as they same. Between the mother from hell, an insane jealous fellow actor, Claire's insecurities and being apart, things are not going so well.

But I have to say even though Dan was the younger one for me he was more mature than she was. So even with all these things going on they still found their way through all the obstacles.

We get to see more of the slut-sisters and see them meeting their other halves as well. Will they get their own stories??

I loved the ending and the epilogue was so cute.

Definitely worth the read!

Sort and sweet ending. The antagonists are almost from the 80’s drama but that doesn’t stop me from rooting from this couple. This also reminds me of another favorite which also features an elevator. Dan is a definite sweetheart! I wish this was longer but it surely was fun reading it!

What a fantastic follow up to Clare and Dan's story from A Matter of Trust. This is book 2 and we get the continuation of their relationship in book 2. We see Claire’s career taking off as a musician and Dan’s career continuing to skyrocket. These two are trying to navigate their way thru a long distance relationship and all seem to be going well but each time Dan has to go away and on location while Claire stays back waiting for him ( there is a reason why and the book addresses this) , this starts to take a toll on Claire and she starts to have those insecurities and trust issues flare up, then on top of things, she is dealing with her mom and her insanity- her nasty putdowns and veiled innuendos which made me just want to smack Claire’s mom- which is also adding to her tension and insecurities in her relationship with Dan. Then on top of it, there are people outside of her and Dan’s relationship who are determined to cause this great couple to break up.
This story is shows a relationship where the heroine isn’t as strong and I like that. And I love the supporting cast of characters who are there, helping Claire along, giving her the tools to work things out and giving her the help and love she needs . There is a reason for why Claire has these insecurities (read book1) but despite the insecurities , she gets better and comes to see that she is helping to cause dissent in hers and Dan relationship. Claire is one humorous gal and she had some awesome quips. And my boy Dan, what can I say for “Mr Beautiful” ? He is so sweet yet very devoted toward Claire. He loves her and wants to do everything he can to prove his love for her day in and day out. He is one totally hot book boyfriend and a definitely keeper!
This author has written a lovely love story about how real relationships can be, with doubt, insecurities and she wrote how love can overcome all. The plot is strong and flows from start to finish. And the ending is so sweet. I would have loved to read more about Dan and Claire and maybe someday we will. I hated for their story to end, for their HEA is totally perfect.

My rating: 4.7 stars ****

A Moment of Truth picks up the story of Claire and Dan exactly where A Matter of Trust Ends. While Ms. Ruby gives her readers a little background, Moment of Truth is best read after consuming Matter of Trust.

I really enjoyed Matter of Trust, and Moment of Truth does not disappoint. Claire still questions and berates herself too much at the start of the book. However, by the end she comes into her own. She works on her relationship with her overbearing mother, and she gains a little confidence and maturity. The adorable Dan will melt your heart. Not only is he a successful, swoon-worthy movie actor, but also an attentive boyfriend (at least as time allows). Claire and Dan have good chemistry. Their perpetual banter is sweet, silly and personal. They share a similar sense of humor, and they are terribly cute together.

Ms. Ruby has perfectly depicted the struggles of being in a relationship with a prominent figure and maintaining a long-distance relationship. Both Claire and Dan find success in their careers, so professional jealousies are never an issue, however, between the infrequency of their interactions and number of outside influences pecking at their foundation, Claire and Dan are in for a rough ride. Perhaps it is the difference in their upbringing, but Dan is more confident and mature in life and in his relationships. After a little angst, Claire realizes that it is her insecurities that are causing much of their relationship strife.

A Moment of Truth is at times slow, at times too sweet or obvious in its angst, but overall it is a lovely read. I adored Claire and Dan in A Matter of Trust, and I enjoyed the development of their long-term, long-distance relationship in A Moment of Truth. This sequel provides the perfect ending, and the epilogue will melt your heart.

I did it again. I should have just left this story at the end of the first book, but I just had to read the conclusion of their story.

The writing in this makes the MCs sound juvenile. Seriously, the inner monologue diarrhea that the h has makes her sound like an insecure teenager, and the dialogue between the characters isn't much better. Some of the banter is a little witty, but most of it is crass and dumb. There's too much sex in this book. It became very repetitive and I started skipping those scenes so that I could get to a part that was actually part of the plot.

And what a plot it was. Let me sum it up for you. Claire is insecure. The MCs are in a long distance relationship now and she's insecure about it. Will Dan cheat on her? Will she become too boring for him? Is she too old for him? Wash, rinse, repeat. There's the airhead friends/roommates of the h who call each other sluts and whores (not funny or cool ever IMO), an evil mother, a big TEST to the MCs' relationship, contrived separation due to work obligations plus the usual tabloid, mean girl co-star, and paparazzi drama that always appear in movie star stories.

Maybe if we got to hear from the H instead of the h all the time the book would have been less annoying. Maybe if the h was a little bit less insecure and paranoid, I would have liked this more. I'm not sure. All I know is that I had a hard time finishing it. The writing was just not good. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone, unless you really enjoyed the first book.

Claire and Dan are back, and starting the next chapter in their budding relationship. Claire is still over the moon with her new career, and moving back with in with Camille and Bridget settles her back into the routine she craves. However, life is organic and constantly changing, which only exaggerates her fears, as she and Dan navigate through the waters of career opportunities, family relationships, and opening the doors the not only trust but truth.

Q.T. Ruby's follow up novel to A Matter of Trust only highlights her deep rooted talents. A Matter of Truth picks right back up with the humorous relationship of Claire and her "Fairy Slutmothers" who help redirect Claire when she is in her doubtful doldrums. Dan maybe six years her junior but Ruby certainly knows how to write the passion and dedication Dan has for Claire. Ruby digs into family dynamics and how they help shape, mold, and define many aspects of a person’s adult perceptions. She also explores how a person finally develops into their own, as they become self-reliant and confident with their own inner self. The multiple layers of meaning behind the title alone are revealed and peeled back exposing this story of trust and truth layer by layer. Ruby exceeds all expectations with this latest release, and falling deeper in love with Claire and Dan is exactly what happens when truth and trust matter!

Sequels to books are sometimes hard to write and I pretty much knew or hoped I'd get a continuation of A Matter of Trust, I just wasn't sure who we would be getting more of. I was so excited to read that we pick up right where A Matter of Trust ended with Dan and Claire.

We are lead through the struggles of long distances relationships with these two. We are treated to more of the fairy slutmothers and their "rescues" of Claire. We see the insecurities Claire faces in dating a hot, successful actor but I love how quickly those are squashed and how strong she now is in her dealings of gossip and drama. She still has issues with her mom but the strength and tough love Claire fights with is admirable.

I don't know how Dan could be any more perfect but he is. I fell more in love with Dan and how patient and adoring he is of Claire. Even when the demands of his career interferes with his relationship with Claire, he finds ways to make it all work. The "surprises" are awesome.

There is drama and a little danger in this installment of the series. But this is the perfect romance book for 2016. Again this is not an erotic romance but a tender and sweet book with lots of great chemistry with these two. It gave me all kinds of feels and brought both sad but mostly happy tears. I hope to read more about Claire's fairy slutmothers and their HEA's.

This is the continuation of Clare and Dan's story.
I loved everything about this story.
Clare and Dan continue on working on their long distance relationship. The ups and downs of east coast/west coast, jobs obligations, family and fighting to keep the love they have, is not easy. Especially, when Dan has to pose as a single man, during promotion of his new movie. Clare watches the media, showing Dan with his costars and questions their relationship, but not her love for Dan.
Dan meets Clare's parents for the first time at Thanksgiving. Clare's mother wasn't on her best behavior and her brothers threaten him, "if he hurts her." Her mother is continuously putting her down for the choices she makes in her life and Clare continues to hope her mother will be proud of her.
The saving grace of her life are the"Fairy Smutmothers." (I wish I had even one of them) They come to her rescue so many times. The surprises and the disappointments in having a long distance relationship are many and hard on the couple. Dan's career is the hardest to deal with, taking him away to another country, and then promoting as if he's single and available.
This was an amazing ending to the story.

Part 2 of 2 with an HEA and an epilogue.

I had some issues with this one, mainly having to do with her mother and brothers.

At the end of book 1, after Claire's fired she breaks up with Dan, only to reunite after she's hired to provide music for a movie.

At the beginning of book 2, we find that Claire's been staying with Dan until he has to go to Mexico to shoot another film. She's finally been able to earn enough money from the music to move out of her home again and the girls help her. Then the book is essentially about them trying to make this bi-coastal relationship work, despite the evil Sophie, stalker Ian, Claire's mother and their careers.

And as I said in the last review, I hate it when women call each other "slut" -- it's not funny, it's distasteful and demeaning and made me drop this a star.

Where this fell apart for me was the whole thing with the mother. The excuse the mother gives at the end was inadequate given just how cruel she is. Her excuse just didn't make any sense. Again, another star drop.

The good parts are that Dan's pretty damn romantic; I was hoping for some deeper connections here and for Claire to become more secure in her relationship with Dan and get a backbone and deal with her emotionally abusive mother.

I have to rate this book twice. First the majority of the story until about 90% would receive 4 stars. Very low angst, this book starts right where the first left off and continues on through the struggles of Dan and Claire's long distance relationship. Both having demanding jobs, Dans job winding up being ridiculously demanding. But they make it through. They make it through cruddy parents(Claire's mom, again) and people trying to come between and hurt them. Claire does end up fixing her relationship with her mom, and at first I was not pleased with it. But as the story played out, the way it played out actually made me happy they did, so kudos to you Mrs writer lady. The surprise at the ending was slightly unexpected. I mean I knew as soon as Claire got into the limo but before that, had no idea. From there though it was a sweet bomb that went off thanks to Mr Daniel Chase. My favorite part by far however was the epilogue. And that is where I leave my second rating simply for the way this story left me feeling, which earns a solid 5 stars. That epilogue was beyond amazing and perfect.

I'd absolutely loved A Matter of Trust when I'd first read it. And I was terribly excited when I'd heard there was to be a sequel.

I was not disappointed with A Matter of Truth either.

I loved how the story just picked up right where A Matter of Trust left off and continued on with its fast paced storyline.

Loved getting reacquainted with the Fairy Slutmothers.

I absolutely love that Dan Chase is a nice guy; a nice guy in Hollywood. I always get the feeling from entertainment media that a "nice and honest" celebrity is not necessarily the norm. I love that Q.T. has depicted her celebrity as a faithful and honest character. I also love that Claire sometimes has a hard time believing that Dan is really nice. It doesn't help that her mother's influence lends itself to her second guessing Dan's character and believability.

Loved the epilogue and how Q.T. wrapped up her story. Could their be more? Possible side stories? I'd love more about Camille and Colin, and possibly Bridget and Shane. Well done!

A Moment of Truth is book 2 in the A Mater of Trust series. It was quick and a fun read, Dan and Claire are still going strong. Book 2 seemed like part 2. In could have been in the same book, it picked up where the last one left off.

Dan's crazy actor life is somewhat of a problem for the couple. He is is away for filming and has a crazy director who wants him to be single. This causes a rift in the couple, they can't be seen together or even talk on the phone. They have come up with the idea to write letters to communicate. My heart broke for them.

On the plus side, Dan is a true romantic. He shows Claire how much he loves her anyway he can. Dan melted my heart. Claire, at time was too needy and immature. She constantly didn't trust or believe Dan and at times, constantly needed to be told he loved her and why he would have chosen her.

These books were a cute and light read. If you are a the beach, it would be a fun at to spend your time.

This picks up right where the first book left off. Claire and Dan are a great couple. This follows you through the ups and downs of their relationship. Claire still has a hard time believing that Hot shot actor Dan wants her. It doesn't help that her mom is a total *itch and the tabloids. The couple had to do the long distance relationship and that just puts a hitch in things but I think they come out well. The banter between the two is just as good as in the first book. Fifteen minute man, I just cracked up.

There wasn't much drama until the end and when you get there, OMG, I wanted to hug Claire and punch Dan.

My only downfall for this story was the constant inner dialogue of Claire always putting herself down. Yes, we all do it, but it became a bit too much for me.

What can I say, I absolutely loved this story. Q.T. Ruby is now one of my must read authors.

Daniel and Claire’s story starts right where the first book ends.

Dan and Claire continue their journey of love and learning how to cope with their new challenges thrown at them. This comprises of long distances, a jealous actor, Claire’s insecurities, well, I will say a very interesting mother (well she does mean well) and most importantly belief/trust.

We also get to hear more from the two fabulous Fairy Slutmothers. They always made me smile. I think everybody should have them in their lives.

Even know we know how certain characters end up, I would for one still love to hear their journey (Camille and Bridget, Colin and Shane). Hint, hint.

This book is everything I had hoped for and more.

Please do yourself a favour and read it book.

So I finished the first book and went straight into this one. Loved how it started just where it left off. I liked the development of their relationship in this book. Love how Claire figures herself out in this one and how you get to watch her grow and stand up for what she believes. The improvement in her relationship with her mom makes me like her a lot more. But the end of this story is what blows me away. I absolutely loved the ending and the epilogue. It was so super sweet and beautiful. Also loved how the author tells you how chamile and bridgete end up too. Loved this book and would definitely read from this author again.

I LOVED this book! After book 1, I NEEDED more! So much so that instead of cleaning my apartment, I was reading. So now it's almost midnight on Sunday/Monday and I have a filthy living room that needs vacuuming. And I don't regret it for a second!

I love Dan and Claire and their romance. And Claire's crazy friends and Dan's friends. They're all just such a fun group!

I wish there was more because I love these characters but everyone's story is wrapped up so you don't have unanswered questions.

I love romance stories with humor! Claire and Dan have a lot of obstacles to overcome in their relationship from dealing with his fame, her rising career and having to have a long distant relationship. Claire is also given the opportunity to work on her relationship with her overbearing mother. I love Dan and Claire, they are great together. I loved to see what happens to her Fairy Slutmothers in the future.

I absolutely loved the continuation and conclusion of Dan and Claire's story, it was absolutely perfect!

Even though they are back together, their relationship still isn't perfect. They have distance, jobs and other people that get in their way and make it difficult at times, but their love for one another always shines through.

The end was just perfect and so beautiful!

Overall, I would highly recommend this book!
