A recipe for a perfect Thanksgiving disaster:
Add 1 cup of contagious disease
2 cups of secrets
Stir in too much family togetherness
Sprinkle on some awkward porn viewing
Heat at 350 degrees

A year after Going Down, Cole and Cici are still crazy about each other. Despite their relationship no longer being a secret, they can’t seem to catch a break. All Cici wanted was one perfect holiday, and all Cole wanted was dibs on some cranberry sauce.
As usual, Cici has a carefully laid out plan. And as usual, the universe has a different—more hilarious—plan. Will Cici be able to give up her idea of perfection and go with the flow?

Sometimes letting go is the secret to getting off.

His tongue did wonderful, magical things. Like unicorns-dancing-in-cotton-candy-clouds magical. Before meeting Cole, I was convinced no man could find a G-spot without two maps, GPS navigation, and a set of road flares.

OMG!! I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!

 photo getting off 1_zps29eipbvt.jpg

Cole & Cici are back and they are sexier and funnier than ever!!! I think I may have fallen madly in love with Katherine Stevens!! I thought that GOING DOWN was unbelievably funny but then she goes and writes GETTING OFF and she did the unthinkable….she OUTDID herself!!! This lady needs to be writing for a sitcom or movies for one of my favorite comedic actresses, Melissa McCarthy!!! I swear I lost count of how many times I busted out laughing while reading this book!! I haven’t laughed this hard since reading Wallbanger and The Unidentified Redhead. This author has fast become one of my top favorite ROMCOM writers!! If you are in need of something funny or just craving it, I’m telling you, you need to bump this series up on your TBRs!!!

It’s Thanksgiving and Cole & Cici are on their way to his parents to spend the holiday with his family. Cici’s extremely nervous because she has something big that she needs to tell Cole. Things get crazy in the Danver’s household when the entire family, including Cici and the cook, come down with a horrible case of pink-eye thanks to Cole’s younger brother, John. From then on, it is just one laugh riot after the other. The embarrassing situations keep piling up. First, the Danvers children become all too painfully aware of their parents love for Spanish porn, and then they all play an interesting game of Never Have I Ever that outs Cici on several mortifying facts about her that have her wishing she could crawl into a hole and die. But this family is so tight-knit and beyond hilarious and they’ve accepted Cici as one of their own, so no amount of embarrassing revelations is going to change their opinion of her.

 photo getting off 2_zpsflcfqxu3.jpg

When a few unexpected guests show up, let’s just say Cici’s embarrassment level is about to skyrocket to another hemisphere. This is either going to be the best Thanksgiving Cole & Cici will ever have or it will end up being the night that shatters their relationship. It sounds pretty dubious, but I assure you what might seem to be an utterly devastating moment will result in some serious tummy aches from the hardcore laughter that is sure to follow.

I really can’t say enough about this series. This novella was utter perfection but it leaves me wanting more of Cole & Cici. I need at least a few more books dedicated to these two characters. Cole is one hell of a swoon worthy book boyfriend and Cici is that heroine that you wish you had as your BFF.

Do yourselves a favor, one click this series! I promise you, you’re in for some serious off the charts hotter than H steam and more laughs than your belly can handle!!! A fabulous feel-good series!!!

We first met Cole & Cici in Going Down (The Elevator Series #1) by Katherine Stevens book #1 of the elevator series. I fell in love with their sweet, LMAO funny relationship so when I saw this was out I just had to have it!!!

 photo givemethisshit_zpsgwk9eugz.gif

In this short novella we are taken along to Coles parents house for their annual Thanksgiving weekend. Cici has huge plans for this weekend but of course this crazy couple have just as crazy family members and that means chaos.

Coles brother John is a little on the simple side and he manages to infect the whole house with the highly infectious pink eye. So begins a weekend of a wacky family being stuck in the house together.

“Pinkeye! How did we get that? Someone call an ambulance! Why do bad things happen to good people?”

 photo myeyes_zpsaaceydya.gif

Some of these romantic comedies can be OTT and a little ridiculous but Katherine Stevens had the winning formula blending just the right amount of crazy funny with some really romantic scenes.

Cici is still funny as hell with her inner dialogue and naming of presidents, she still plans her life around her evil pussy (cat) Leroy.

I really enjoyed it for the laughs it gave me as I was in need of a good laugh. If you have not met Cici and Cole yet , you should read Going Down for a sweet, hysterical and fun read.

I am excited to see where this adventure will lead next, these books just make me happy.

Getting Off is such a great follow up to Going Down. The reunion of Cici and Cole is funny as heck. Getting Off is a short novella and has the same great mixture of humor and romance. I would recommend anyone to read the first book just to get a connection with Cici and Cole.

Their relationship is so much fun and they fit together seamlessly. Cici has her quirks but that's what's makes her Cici and why Cole loves and adores her so much. This time they're celebrating Thanksgiving at his parents house and it's certainly not uneventful. Cole's family is one of a kind and they definitely have their rules about things. The pinkeye and piñata scenes are fabulous. I laughed so hard.

The ending to this novella is a great closure to their relationship. I'm sitting here with a smile on my face. I still can't get over Cici still yells out presidential names when she climaxes. Just my kind of humor.

My fav couple of Cole and Cici are back!!

It is Thanksgiving time with Cole's family so you know that means there is bound to be antics when Cici is involved.

OMG, this book had my cherries bursting in laughter from all the family craziness in Cole's family household!

Thanksgiving will never be the same again.  And oh yeah, certain board games & terms... yep totally ruined in a hilariously good way of course.

Such a quick and fun read. And of course we get some sexy times with Cole & Cici because DUH!

This book is a great novella to wet our turkey basters until Book#2 Going Up comes out next year.

I can only imagine what Katherine Stevens will come up with next!

Go 1 click!  It's a must read!

I love when we get these little added bonuses in the form of a novella especially when it's from a book that had me laughing so hard my kids thought i had lost the plot while reading. Katherine Steven's writing is faultless her humour is on the ball. So get to one clicking sit back and enjoy.

We met Cici and Cole in Going Down after they had an eventful night in a broken elevator, Lift if your english ;-). This book takes us a little over a year on in their lives, it's Thanksgiving and there off to spend it with Cole's Hilarious some what Eccentric family.
Now with this being a novella a don't really want to give to many spoilers and ruin this read. But what follows will have you openly laughing out loud from disaster to disaster. Oh what i wouldn't give to be apart of this hilarious family from their banter to family board games!!

 photo 14691455_1162305693852965_7031653362028819541_o_zpsu9zvqsza.jpg

What i did come to realise is that not only are Cole and Cici perfect for each other but their families are too, as we get to meet Cici's family as well in this book and they are equally Eccentric.
With their HEA i can see them having a beautiful maybe some what eventful life and i absolutely loved reading this next part of their lives.
So all that's left to say is bring on Maggie's book
OVER.

Readers of Going Down, the first in Katherine Stevens elevator series featuring Leroy the one eyed cat and his people Cici & Cole, will recall that life is a never ending series of comedic incidents.

In Getting Off it's Thanksgiving with the Danvers family. Like any, there's a huge turkey dinner and a rousing game of Trivial Pursuit. Sadly, the entire family comes down with a raging case of pink eye which leaves dinner on the line and a board game played with rules the likes have never been seen before. Throw in a cursing toddler, a case of attempted fratricide and Spanish piñata porn and you'll have more "incidents" than Cici has caused in her life. Nothing goes to plan.

Getting Off is smutty, hilarious and sweet with just the right amount of sexy. This family gathering is either your worst nightmare or in my case, pass the popcorn I wanna see it all go down! Katherine has a gift for effortless banter in her dialogue. The jokes roll from one sentence to the next but most importantly, she knows more names for the male **coughs** appendage than the urban dictionary.

A completely nutty addition to Cici & Coles story that will make you cringe and laugh in equal measures.

Cole and Cici are back and this time they've added the insanity of a crazy family and a holiday to the mix.

It's Thanksgiving, a holiday that the Danvers clan takes seriously. Cole's family is....unique. They're loud, competitive, awkward to be around, and way too 'in the know' with everyone else's business. And when one incident disrupts the whole weekend, a comedy of errors ensues.

This book was so hilarious! For once in her life, I don't think Cici is the craziest person in the room. She fits right in with this insane cast of characters. But no worries. There are plenty of classic Cici moments to keep you entertained. And Cole is still just as devilishly sexy as he ever was, even with his obsession over a classic Thanksgiving holiday condiment.

From beginning to end, this book will literally leave you laughing out loud. I can't wait to see what happens next with Cole, Cici, and they rest of the bunch. I absolutely LOVE this series.

Highly recommended!!!

4.5 stars.

This is a follow-up/epilogue to Going Down, which I adored. Cici and Cole and their families are so freaking funny. This book lets us see a little more about where Cici and Cole's relationship has gone and where it's heading. The Danvers family plays a large role in it, which I love. There's a pink-eye incident, some unexpected guests, a nice little family cooking lesson, and possibly some huge life changing moments. It's funny, and sweet, with a few hot times and it's a fun little follow-up you must read if you enjoyed Going Down.

Oh how I enjoyed this one! I think it was even funnier than Going Down :) Cici was her funny, slighty awkward self while Cole was still swoony. Add in Cole's family and later Cici's family and there were several points where my daughter had to tell me to be quiet because I was laughing so hard :)

As much as I loved the hilarious incidents and craziness in previous book, this time it was truly annoying. I felt like they all took an immature pill or got high on fumes or something...

How can it be any funnier?

Just when you think a series can't be any funnier or get better, it's does. The whole book is set at Cole's parents house and it is just too much. This family is something else and we finally meet CiCi's parents too!

Short, saucy and salaciously naughty, this offering was just what the doctor ordered. Or better said, the gal who took it on herself to make sure everyone sat down to a Thanksgiving meal was the perfect distraction. And whether or not it was the perfect disaster, you'll have to read it to find out for yourselves! Overflowing with innuendos and a banter that gave me a belly full of laughs, it’ll give you a pretty good insight into Cole’s crazy family. He’d warned the love of his life about their competitiveness but you’ve got to read this little gem of a novella to see how far they’re capable of pushing their luck. In fact, I found their shenanigans quite exhausting and never knew what to expect next.

“I’m going to rent another family next year!”

But regardless of Cici’s first impression of Cole’s parents and his siblings which in itself was nothing less than hilariously embarrassing, they all go out of their way to make her feel at home. Still head of heels in love with Cole, she’s got to pluck up the courage to do something which doesn’t go quite as planned. I can’t possibly let on because it’d spoil the read for you. But I will say this, Cole’s ideas are on par with hers.

“I’m thankful to all of you letting me into your lives and making my family a lot bigger.”

Of course, you’ve got to read Going Down first to get the gist of Cole and Cici’s sexapades. Whoops, spelling mistake! I meant escapades! And if you've had the pleasure of meeting these two adorable characters, you’ll know by now that Ms Stevens usage of colourful vocabulary is hmm. . . a tad explicit! How she goes about writing such outrageous scenarios in a fast-moving plot and make them work had me once again, questioning her imagination. And to be honest, she’s a dab hand at pulling it off.

“Your brain is so weirdly adorable. I love you.”

All the characters’ eccentric traits are unquestionably well-developed. This book is easily read and I wouldn’t hesitate recommending it to those of you who need cheering up. It will brighten your mood, make you tingle in all the right places and when you turn last page, I have no doubt you’ll be grinning from ear to ear like I did. My rating. Well, I think it could have been a little bit longer, but that might just be my greediness! So looking forward to more writing extravaganzas from Ms Stevens. BRAVO!

“I had no idea you two were so freaky. This is disturbing on a whole new level. My therapist is going to have a field day.”

The "I Love Lucy" of Thanksgiving Romances! Katherine Stevens had me belly-aching laughing non-stop while reading "Getting Off", her follow up novella to "Going Down". This novella MUST be read after reading "Going Down" - it won't make any sense unless you do. We met Cole and Cici in "Going Down" in the penultimate Meet/Sexy/Cute in which they find themselves stuck overnight in an elevator and enjoy dinner of whatever Cici has at the bottom of her purse, a movie on her cell-phone, and adorably sleeping draped on each other. Oh yeah and they have up against the wall wild monkey, screaming-the-name-of-dead-presidents, sex … Just before Cici finds out Cole is her newly hired executive assistant. We catch up with Cici and Cole's well established and happy relationship as they are off to visit his family for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Of course, calamity ensues. This is mainly due to Cole's outrageously unpredictable and inappropriate brother, John. Cole's Dad is also an uproarious source of amusement as well - being that he is the Game Master, imminent edict issuer, and rule enforcer. With the Danvers Family Game Night being akin to "Board Game Mash-Up" meets "The Hunger Games" The most traumatic event might be Holiday Horror of the Feast That Almost Wasn't. The Danvers family's maid is unable to come to cook - see John produced mishap. Only Cici and Cole are able to navigate their way around a recipe and are aided by the hilariously well-meaning but comedic-ally and completely inept family. Cici has a surprise churning in the background that she is debating on whether or not the time is right to pull the trigger. In the end she isn't given much of a choice in the matter. Even though Cole's family is well off they are delightfully highly functioning and highly competitive eccentrics. Cici's parents are a bizzaro a hoot and a half and we get a "drive by" by her brother Zack and his wife and son. Katherine Stevens is playing in the big leagues with Tara Sivec with her Elevator Series and "Going Down" this novella is jam packed with fantastic one-liners that are worthy of becoming catch phrases. There are also so many sweetly romantic sentimental moments and naughty and racy sex scenes that are just incredibly fantastic and just make this book truly a party of Fun, Steaminess, and Romance. " "Going Down" and "Getting Off" are ABSOLUTELY One Click purchases!

First, you need to read Going Down. For a couple reasons:

1 - Getting Off (the book) won't make ANY sense without reading it first!

2 - Cici and Cole are HI-larious and you need to fully enjoy everything that is their story!

If you haven't read Going Down, go back and do that NOW! Here's a handy buy link: http://hyperurl.co/GoingDown

On with the review.

Cici and Cole are heading to his parents' house for Thanksgiving Dinner. If Cici will ever get her act together, Cole is DYING for cranberry sauce that he knows his brother will have devoured if he doesn't get there STAT! And Cici is doing her best to postpone getting to his parents' but for other reasons than to deny Cole his cranberry sauce and bragging rights...

Enter in Cole's crazy family, Cici's "incidents", Maggie's crazy truck driver lingo, among other things and you're laughing til your peeing! Can't wait for more from this author and in this series!!!

These are my Happily Ever After Novel Thoughts...

Cole & CiCi are made for each other!! This book is hilarious and will definitely get you in trouble if you're reading at work or in bed with your partner trying to sleep!

The right side of my brain was still trying to make sense of the plot before me. “Is this in… Spanish?”
“I wanted to learn another language,” Elizabeth whispered.

The Thanksgiving fiasco is brilliantly written. It felt as if I were there watching the shenanigans. I want to comment more about what happened there, but I don't want to accidentally give away any spoilers. Just know, fiasco is definitely the correct word to describe it.

I can't wait to read Maggie's story in the next book!

Grab your copy to see how everyone makes it through Thanksgiving day and maybe find a Happily Ever After.

This book is choke on air because you are laughing so hard funny. Between the piñata porn, penis jokes, and crazy family antics I don't think I ever really stopped laughing. Cici is in true form with her outfits for every possible occasion, her strive to make this holiday absolutely being dashed merely seconds after they arrive, and her full protective suit to play "touch football".

Cole's family is perfection with the bickering, sibling rivalry, loads of embarrassment, and a lot of love. This story could have happened around any Thanksgiving table. The fact that it was so relatable to a Thanksgiving had with my family really made this story stick out for me.

Kathrine's humor and ability to make a storyline flow flawlessly from start to finish is quickly making her a one click author for me!

Ahhh Cole and CiCi how I have missed you!!

First, this is a novella meant to be read after you read Going Down (Book 1 in this series). That is where you are introduced to the hilarity that is CiCi and Cole.

In this novella, we are getting a glimpse into their world a year after they have met. And it's Thanksgiving. And what could go wrong in the world of CiCi? Only everything! But it's perfect. These two are still going strong, having a super hot sex life to boot!

And, not to spoil anything, but they DO get their happy ending-literally ;)

I loved it! Katherine Steven's makes me laugh out loud with her writing. And in a world where there are plenty of books making me cry, this is a breath of fresh air! Can't wait for Going Up!

This is the next book in the Elevator Series. If you haven't read Going Down, then you need to read this first. In this book, Cole and Cici are spending Thanksgiving with his hilarious family. If you thought his family was wacky before, just wait until you read this hilarious sequel. And to make things even more awkward, Cici has a plan of her own for the holiday that she hasn't told Cole about. Just wait until her family and best friend show up and surprise them all. Cole's family with Cici's parents bring awkward and hilarious to a whole new level.

With this Elevator series, author Katherine Stevens has joined the list of my favorite authors.

**Read for Sweet&Spicy Reads**

Last time we saw Cici and Coke, they taking big leaps together while Going Down. True to form, their hot and spicy romance never fails to deliver with toe curling fun! This time we get to follow them to Thanksgiving at Coles parents house with all the family. Cici has no idea what this weekend will unfold. Cole couldn't imagine what would happen this weekend even if he tried.
This sweet novella let's us into Cici and Cole's world again to follow a family weekend and a new step for them. Totally a good read, beautiful story of love opening doors for the rest of your life! 4/5

It’s a good thing Cole has some common sense. Cici’s definitely going to get them wrapped around a tree if he loses focus. And not in a good way. But she makes me laugh so that’s all right. I’m sure if she does get them into a car accident, it will be funny. Just watch your teeth, please Cici.

Katherine Stevens is my favorite new author of 2016. I’m very tempted to deduct half a point for the board game shenanigans, but I love her so I will refrain. This time. Heed my warning, Katherine. Five stars.

This book had me dying.

The hilarity that this author manages to put on page after page is a delight. It was nice to see how CiCi and Cole's relationship had progressed since the last book.

Cole's family is too much. Without giving much away, the antics that went on during Thanksgiving took humor to another level. I'm sure that some of us have had similar experiences with our family. I absolutely loved the ending and cannot wait for the next installment in their story.

Five stars
