Part 2 of the Need series...

He broke me.
The only man I’ve ever loved. Wrecked me beyond recognition.
But I can’t get away from him.
Brayden haunts me, persistently. His last name is what he is—a hunter. And I’m his prey.
I just want to move on, forget him. But he won’t let me.
He’s a whore and I break, letting him in.
One hit is a gateway drug, and I’m suddenly unable to stay away. So I take what I need from him.
I hate him.
I love him.
And I don’t even have a fighting chance against him.

4 stars!

Take is the highly anticipated sequel to Need. I read Need early last year and I have been DYING for this one! After reading it, I’m now DYING for the final installment. I just hope that it comes out a little quicker than this one did because I’m feeling especially impatient to find out what happened If you read Need, you know Lynn and Blanco write super hot stories that are high angst and high steam. Lynn writes one of the best male POV of any author I’ve read. Being in Brayden’s head is definitely the highlight of this book!

 photo C7A1D86F-BB7D-439B-92E2-5B63CA3CD075_zpsd3yy49hr.jpg
From the moment I met her, she’s been mine, but even more so, I’m hers. No matter how things play out, I’ll always belong to her.

Brayden did some questionable things in the first book. He hurt Kira and he knows it. He will do whatever it takes to make it up to her. He’s 100% all in. The problem is Kira doesn’t trust him and doesn’t believe him. Finding a way to make her see that he is serious is extremely difficult.

I loved Kira so much in the first book. In this book, I struggled with her. I felt so much for Brayden and my heart broke for him. It’s not that I didn’t understand where she was coming from, I really did, I just wanted her to open her eyes and see what was right in front of her. I’m not sure Brayden could have done anything more than he did to try to get her to see that he wants her and only her forever.
I need the girl to choose me with all of her. I want her body. Her emotions. I want every fucking part of her mind and soul.

 photo 014CE9A7-6506-44C9-A2D7-ABF6E0AD190A_zpsdv7cqli2.jpg

In this second installment, I saw so much growth in Brayden’s character, and as stubborn and Kira was, she was also strong. As frustrated as I got with her at times, I was somewhat happy she stood her ground and didn’t just run into Brayden’s arms. This couple doesn’t have it easy and still has a ways to go. And lets not forget that they are still step-siblings on top of it all, so there is even more struggle there, plus that somewhat taboo element.

I love these authors writing style. I love that there is such a great flow you can’t tell where one stops and the other starts. The dual pov is very well done. And of course there is Brayden- a fantastic character! If you’re looking for a steamy, emotional and angsty series, this is one I’d recommend!

I'm exhausted after reading this book...Probably more like between 3 and 4 stars.

Book two starts off where book one left off. Kira is FINALLY 18 and Brayden has FINALLY gotten his head out of his ass and decides he loves her and it's time to make her his.

Now let me just say, I LOVED that Kira didn't just roll over after one kiss and all is forgiven. But HOLY CRAP the whole ENTIRE book was her pushing and pulling. Back and forth. Acting like a 3-year-old having a temper tantrum one minute, and a nymphomaniac the next. Not to mention leading Austin on through the WHOLE book.

description

This is basically the book in a nutshell...

Kira.."I hate you Brayden"..."You hurt me" ..."Oh look a penis...Nom, Nom, Nom" "It's just sex" ..."I'll never forgive you" ..."Oh look a penis...Nom, Nom, Nom"

Brayden .. "I love you" ... "I love you" ... "I love you" ... "What do I have to do to get you to forgive me?" "Oh your pussy is so tight"

Add in a bunch of dripping, leaking, swollen genital regions...and you basically got an idea of the whole book.

THAT SAID, I adore these author's writing style, so I am apparently a masochist enough to move onto book three and hope we are going to move past the push/pull of the previous two books and into a more complex relationship.

Oh lord, what are these women doing to me!! Take is the second book in the trilogy and I feel like I have been waiting forever for this book. However, that didn’t dispel my excitement when I started Take.

The story begins exactly right were Need left off. Brayden has decided he doesn’t care what others think, he wants something real with Kira. However, Kira has lived through hell with Brayden and refuses to allow him into her life now that he decided it’s what he wants, finally. Kira is struggling with what she wants, needs and what she believes is the right thing to do.

This is where I struggle too because I love Brayden. Is he perfect, no, but he is a dirty talker, compassionate and I believe he always had the best of intentions. Now, Kira, she isn’t willing to see or admit that right now. That’s my struggle, because I want her to give in and accept Brayden. I want them to finally have that hot, dirty sex I have been anticipating, but if she does what does that say about her. See the struggle is real!

In the end, I really enjoyed parts of this installment. I loved how it was sexy as sin. I loved my dirty talking anti-hero. I even loved how Kira was ready to stand her ground, because I love a strong heroine. But I felt his story needed more progression and the couple needed to move forward or move on.

Lastly, I am a little upset to learn this is book two of three and not two of two, like originally planned. Now I am all for authors following their voice, because they are the creative genius behind my favorite books. However, it’s like being told you can have cake for dessert so you rush to finish your meal only to learn you can have cake eleven months later. Hello, I am a fat kid, I need my cake now!

If you have been following the series, I highly recommend Take. I am hoping that we receive the final installment sooner than later, because I really need to know how things will finally play out.

Okay. So here we go.

When the idea of this story first came up and I read the first handful of chapters, I was in love. I read Need and I fell into utter lust with this story. And then it happened. A cliffhanger ending. Brayden finally realizing he NEEDED Kira. Not just wanted her, but absolutely-could-not-live-without-her, NEED.

So here we are in Take. Brayden trying to undo all of the pain he caused Kira. And Kira unable to say no to him with her body, but guarding her heart. Not trusting that he is finally able to love her without destroying her completely.

Angst.

I am a giant angst whore. I can’t get enough of it. This was filled to the point of overflowing with it. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time.

Sexy.

Fuck Me. This was a complete #NoPantsRead
Brayden was off the charts hot. I swear I nearly came every single time this boy took his cock in his hands. Primal. Unforgiving. Brutal. I have never been more jealous of character in my life than I was of Kira.

But make no mistake this wasn’t just about lust and longing. Holy-emotions-batman! I was pulled low and I was lifted high as I watched Brayden try to show Kira that he was regretful of how he treated her and watching Kira try to stand her ground was heartbreaking. It pulled out every emotion and then proceeded to turn them on their head and shake all the feels out. I could not stop once I started.

K.I. Lynn and N. Isabelle Blanco, just wow. FUCKING WOW. The heat, the story, the chemistry. This book had EVERYFUCKINGTHING. I loved every tortuous second of it.

Everyone needs to read this. Right fucking now. Lock your kids in the closet, tell your husband to fend for himself and just read this. NOW.

I am a glutton for punishment but I had to read this just to see if he can redeem himself. I will give him credit for really trying with her but I just couldn't get Amanda and Jennifer and all the other girls out of my head! I really don't blame her for being so upset with him and I think if I could've got past his previous man whoring I would have felt sympathy for him but since I couldn't get past his disgusting whoring I felt satisfaction that he was in pain, in fact he deserved worse! As for the heroine I found her sexual feelings for Brayden really crass she just came across as so desperate and all this talk of her "swollen clit" was just ewww! I love a steamy read sometimes but considering I didn't like either of the main characters I skipped the too many sex scenes, I would have respected heroine a lot more if she had stuck to her guns instead of turning into a sex starved hussy when she was around him and actually truly moved on, as for Brayden there was nothing redeemable about him for me his whorish behaviour just would not leave my mind. My rating is a little higher only because I didn't have to read about ow sex scenes in this book.

"I told her she was mine. Showed her I was hers. Now the challenge was to make her believe both."

Ok. I'm really confused about this and I don't know what to think about it. I think I enjoyed it, especially considering I finished it in one sitting. BUT. There's a but.

description

I think that factors that influenced the reading the most for me were the wait and the fact that there's gonna be an another installment after this. TAKE was supposed to be released last summer, but we got to read it almost a year after NEED. I mean, I don't really have a problem with that. It happens all the time that authors decide to postpone their books, and even though it's annoying in the end you just want to read the best version of it. But then we also find out that this is not going to be the end of the series, OWN will be.

description

And you can see all of that in TAKE. It doesn't really suffer from the middle-book syndrome but at the same time it does. The book needed to happen. Brayden needed to grovel and Keira needed to make him suffer but at the same time I feel like nothing important happened, besides a lot, and I mean A LOT of sex. I don't mind sex, but I would have preferred to see a more romantic side of Brayden and Keira's relationship.

And the thing that makes me feel this way is the fact that I had to wait a year for this and now I have to wait even more to find out how it all end?
That was my biggest problem.

"Keep fighting me, because I'm not going to stop fighting for you."

Besides that TAKE was great. The story was right, as I said Brayden needed to really fight for Keira and I loved how Keira just didn't forget what she went through because of him. Brayden redeemed himself a little bit and I was glad to see he would have done anything to win her back. The sex scenes were so fucking hot!
Ah, I despise Austin and I want to see him gone. He needs to stop causing trouble for my babies.

Now, please authors, don't make us wait another year to read their happily ever after.

I NEED to know the RELEASE DATE (no pun intended).
Need was AWESOME, but also so damn frustrating. It was such a tease!
And after that sneak peek at the end I'm already going crazy waiting for Take.

description

I'm so mad at Brayden, what with his manwhorish way throughout the novel, and he better grovel a whole lot. But at the same time I can't help rooting for them. They deserve to be happy.. TOGETHER.

(And really this obsession of mine with step-sibling romances has to end!)

Oh Brayden, Brayden, Brayden. You poor bastard had to go through hell with Take. And that title fits this book PERFECTLY! Kira TAKES all she can from Brayden. So many times I would cringe at how well she knows which buttons to push. And I KNOW Brayden was an ass to her in Need, but damn.

My thoughts on Austin after the "fiasco" are Kira needed to tell him to fuck off. I dislike him on a crazy level. He doesn't deserve someone like Kira. And that bitch Jennifer needs to get a life and stop messing with Kira.

When Brayden finally snaps, I'm concerned for him, but I am glad after reading Kira's feelings at that point. But......DAMN WHAT A PLACE TO END IT!

KI and N. Isabella work perfectly together. Their storytelling ability is awesome and blends together amazingly. This series is beyond thrilling, and I can't wait to see what is in store for Kira and Brayden.

I was looking forward to seeing where this story went after the little cliffhanger the author left at the end of the first book.

Brayden has some real making up to Kira, he be able to prove his love to her and will she ever be able to forgive him? This story is told from duel pov which was great because I think it really added to the story especially with Braydon's POVs. He really hurt Kira on book 1 and she no-longer trusts him. There are lots and ups and downs through the story and it flows really well. I was at the end before I realized it.

As with the first book there are plenty of hot and steamy moments and it's a very angsty read. For me I loved this book much better than the first, I think it because the characters are older and more mature. I loved Braydon's character in this one, for me he tried to prove his worth to Braydon. Kira's character annoyed me at parts in the story. She frustrated me a little at times. Once again it ends a slightly OMG cliffyhanger ending. I can't wait to find out what happens in the next book.

I was SO excited to read this book I couldn't believe it when I got my ARC!!! The first book, Need, is part of my Favorite Reads of 2015 (see my review HERE ).

Take starts right after where Need leaves us. With Brayden focused on getting Kira back and for her to know he loves her, which is no easy thing to accomplish.

I LOVED the level of angst, Need brought to me, it's the exact kind of angty read I like. And Take came loaded with angst too. The good kind.

Sometimes when we read a book that we want to reach inside and just shake the characters to make them see something, we don't like it. But sometimes we get a book, like Take, that we get frustrated over a character because we can FEEL what they feel and we KNOW why they are like that. That was what Kira made me feel. The girl frustrated me in so many parts of the book and I loved that feeling, because I could see it was exactly what K.I. Lynn and N. Isabelle Blanco wanted me to feel. Kira has been through a LOT in her life, and a lot of that because of Brayden, so even though my poor heart breaks for him, I think Kira's attitudes were completely justified.

Even though Kira's actions are justifiable, I still feel for Brayden. I wanted to get inside my iPad and hug him tight! My poor, dirty-mouthed boy!!!

Brayden made me swoon from the first page to the last one. The guy is romantic and OFF THE CHARTS HOT, a combination that is HARD to resist. Kira, girl, I totally get you !

While Need showed us how they met and how their story began and their relationship built over the years, Take shows us how they can cope with who they are NOW. And that's not only for Kira and Brayden. Their parents and friends too. God, I wanted to slap Brayden's father. The man is a complete a-hole!!!

I liked this change of "pace" in the story, because in the first book we got to meet them and it prepared us for who they would be in the present. I LOVED getting to know them since they were kids, I love this kind of thing in books, but now I also really liked them now. We could see what was going on in both their heads. How everything they went through was affecting them now.

Take is told in both Brayden and Kira's POVs and I have to say, the authors did an excellent work on portraying a female and a male POV. After all it isn't an easy transition, to write or read. But Take is a book that's effortless to read, the story just flows and when you see it, you're 90% into it and you can't believe it'll be over soon!

I was hooked on the characters since book 1 but in this book I didn't know if I wanted to kill Kira for refusing Brayden or if I wanted to be her, so he could try it with me ahahaha. Which to me is a great sign!

And now, can we talk about the sexy times in this book? OMG! They are SCORCHING! The things that come out of of Brayden's mouth! Some even get me blushing. For real. Even though the romance between those two is forbidden as hell (not to me, I do see the big issue, does that make me weird?? LOL), we just want them to say "the hell with it!" and get on with their romance because the tension between them is so palpable!!

A lot happens in the story, but it's not a rushed one. I wish I could get more though, because I wasn't ready to let go of these characters. Take will certainly get you hooked from the beginning to the end and I can't already wait for the third book!!! I need more of my Brayden!!

Take will literally take you inside its story. It'll make you want to slap some characters (Austin and Brayden's father in my case), get some sense into others, swoon, suffer, need a fan becaof yourself as well use of how hot it can get...Take will get every emotion the characters feel out of you as well. It's completely GRIPPING and it will no doubt grab your attention.

As I mentioned I had my moments of frustration with Kira, but since I could see it was the purpose, it didn't bother me, just the opposite. It build up to what the story is bringing next (and even to what happened towards the end of Take). I really can't wait. Not only because of the forbidden aspect, that is intriguing, angsty and sexy, but because of how this story was told. It makes you want more and more and it's so raw and gritty!

I love the writing collabroation between K.I. Lynn and N. Isabelle Blanco. I haven't read any of N. Isabelle's books yet (they're on my TBR list, that will never ever end), but what these two have made together is so freaking good!!!! I'm in love with the way the story is being told and I crave more of it for sure!!

Great job to both K.I. Lynn and N. Isabelle Blanco! Now, you need to figure out a way to bring Brayden to life, because I absolutely NEED him. Pun intended. LOL

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Take is the second book in the Need Series. I absolutely fell in love with Need and could not wait to get my hands on Take.

Brayden is so in love with Kira. There's only two problems with him being in love with Kira. One...Kira is his stepsister. Two......he hurt Kira with years full of his actions and doing what he thought was the right things to do. Kira can not stand Brayden. Her former best friend, stepbrother, and the guy she's been in love with the longest time. Can Brayden convince Kira he is a changed man and he is hers and hers only? Will Kira ever be able to forgive Brayden for destroying her and have a future with him?

I absolutely loved this book. It picks up right where Need left off and it does not disappoint. Brayden really grows a lot in this book and I enjoyed watching him turn into the man he thinks is good enough to have Kira. Kira is still so mad at Brayden for all the stupid things he has done to destroy her and she absolutely refuses to forgive him or be his. I enjoyed the back and forth banter between these two and the denial and expression of feelings. It's certainly the heart wants what the head knows is wrong story and will leave you breathless and begging for the way you want the book to go. I'm left on the edge of my seat and reeling from all the emotions. It's a great read and I loved it just as much as I loved Need. I also NEED Own in my hand to see where the conclusion of this series takes Brayden and Kira. K.I. Lynn and N. Isabelle Blanco have done another amazing job of grabbing my heart and not letting it go.

If you have not had the opportunity to read Need yet you don't know what your missing. You also have to read Need before you can read Take. Don't miss this amazing story of a love so strong you'd do anything in your power to have it.

This was an enjoyable read. I thought the story was really good. I was excited to get back into the forbidden romance of Kira and Brayden. Also, I thought it was great to see inside both Kira and Brayden's head again. I have missed them so much. Kira was my favourite in book 1, but in this book, Brayden stole my heart. Kira was still a strong character, but she was also a bit stubborn and annoying. I really loved the growth in Brayden's character. I thought he was still arrogant, but really sweet as well. The ending was great. Also, I thought the ending was great too. I cannot wait to read Own. I hope that Kira and Brayden get their happily ever after. Overall, a great read.

Boy, oh boy! It's apparent to me that Take is a fantastic follow-up to Need as I pretty much devoured this book. It appears Kira has found her voice and she’s not afraid to use it. The girl has chutzpah and makes this one explosive read. Some of the same drama is there, the circumstances haven’t changed. It's only Brayden who’s come around and Kira is left to fend him off as he makes winning her back his mission in life. There's too much history between them and no going back to a just friends status. Initially I interpreted Take to refer to Brayden going after Kira, Taking what thinks is his. But by the end of the story, I believe it's more about Kira taking control of her future. The trouble is, she can’t control her feelings and she is ruled by her heart.

The storyline picks up from where we were left off at the end of Need. A lot happened in the last couple chapters of Need. Kira made some decisions about her future and Brayden decided to man up - for the most part. Much of Take is about Brayden reducing the obstacles between them, and Kira fighting him every single step. The saying about winning battles versus winning the war comes to mind.

As much as I wanted to wrap Kira up in a hug (when reading Need), this time I wanted to play mediator. Kira knows when to keep quiet and she lets Brayden assume the worst about her relationship with Austin (what he would consider the worst thing). She’s doing what she needs to do to protect her heart and her attitude makes her a bit snarky (which I loved). But her insecurities run deep. She’s one of the most conflicted heroines I’ve read in awhile but she is definitely matured.

With the change in who's pining over whom, there were times I wanted to rub Braydens back and coo in his ear that it’s all gonna be okay. He showed signs of a more sensitive side although he’s always been overly confident when it comes to Kira. But when she pushes back, she pushes hard so his esteem gets to take a hit and he doubts his ability to win her back. Kira hates/loves the way he flirts with her and decides to call what they have as “hate f**ks”. They often take risks as far as the place and time, and this just seems to fire up the erotic/naughty aspect of their relationship.

Bright spot of the story are Kira’s group of girlfriends. I never got a bad feeling about them and I’m hoping that remains true into the next part of the story. A not so bright spot is the situation with the parents. I’m not a fan of his father - at all - and it looks like his marriage to Sonia is beyond strained. I have a lot of sympathy for Kira's mother now, although I think it's one of those well identified things about infidelity. If you cheat to be together, what's to stop the same behavior from happening again - to you? So with family dynamics playing the story I can see some twist and turns coming.

I think it's pretty clear that I love this story. I’ve not been a reader of the “step-brother” romance genre, but I really had no issue with it here and I don’t think this series was labeled as such. It fits nicely in the "friend to something more" and "boy next door romance" genre’s too. Take is a 5 star follow-up to a 5 star read and is a series I recommend for readers on the erotic romance genre.

*I received an ARC for my honest review*

I read the first book Need by KI Lynn & N. Isabelle Blanco and ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!! So I knew for sure I needed the second book Take.

**IF YOU HAVE NOT READ NEED (BOOK 1) PLEASE DO NOT READ THIS REVIEW**

Brayden - a Sexy 21 year old grew up trying to fight his feelings for his best friends little sister, but just when he thought he was ready to tell everyone he was in love with her. their parents announced they were getting married. There's no way for them to be together now that they are step siblings. After years of pushing Kira away he is ready to make her his, but is it too late?

Kira - All she ever wanted was to be with Brayden she knew she loved him since she was a kid, but she's sick of his games. She's sick of crying herself to sleep at night because of him. He as torn her heart apart to many times to count and she's done with it, done with him, but did her body get that memo, I don't think so.

God this book! I couldn't wait to read it, and let me tell you it did not disappoint!! Brayden is my Boo!! The first book left me loving him, hating him, wanting to junk punch him, and wanting to kiss it and make it better. BUT this book, oh this book made me love him 100%. His dirty mouth oh dear lord his mouth. Let me tell you KI Lynn and N. Isabelle Blanco know how to write a dirty talker.

Kira left me wanted to punch her and lot, BUT at the same time I get it. I get why she is the way she is (Trying not to spoil the book).

I loved the story and I loved the writing. I would assume having two people write a story is hard, but I felt they did a good job, it flowed so well and I have no clue which author wrote which part, so to me that's a secess . I felt happy at times, sorrow, and my heart was pounding. I will warn you the end is a bit of a cliffhanger, but nothing I consider throwing my kindle over. So people that don't do cliffhangers. pull your big girl panties up and suck it up because it is so worth the ride. I CAN'T WAIT FOR BOOK THREE!!!!

After waiting forever it felt like I got to reunite with one of my favorite troubled couples.
After all the pain and drama that they have been through now it's Brayden's turn to chase and grovel at Kira's feet. This second installment felt like going back and forth continuously through the book. At time it got bit annoying because of Kira being so damn stubborn and not listening to her heart. Knowing that her body obviously betrays her at just the lightest contact should be her reminder. Brayden he did everything right I felt like he paid for all he put her through but yet again the mistakes he made in his past come back to bite him in the ass. Austin dear lord that buy was like a then on my side seriously always coming in at the wrong time and just making Kira more confused. Excuse my language but that tunnel cunt Jennifer (sorry but that is just what she is) finally I was clapping at the end. I just wish that their will be another show down between her and Kira. Kira's friend they are a entertaining bunch let me tell you that. Brayden's dad I swear that man does not learn his lesson once a bastard always a bastard right? That ending whoa talk about a cliffhanger it left me reeling. Overall I liked the book can't wait for Own (Need #3) to come out but, please not so much of the wait. Hopefully they can both get the HEA they deserve.

Holy crap, where do I begin with this book? Firstly, let me just tell you that it is not for the faint at heart, those people with a closed mind or anyone who takes offence easily, cause this book pushes the limits, it gets you hot and it leaves you wanting more, all the while you’re asking yourself, should I even be reading this? And i don’t mean in a bad way. I mean in the way that you become so thoroughly engrossed in the story you end up feeling like a vouyer seeing these character’s lives play out across the pages.

I hammered this book out in less than a day and was so sad when I got to the end, because no I have to wait...wait for the third book to be released so I can feel dirty in a good way again. I thought that my reaction to Need was a fluke. I thought it was a one off and like so many other books like this would pull me into reading the second and be lack lustre, but that was not the case...holy shit, it so wasn’t. This book, not that I thought it was possible, is even better than the first. More engrossing, more emotional, more erotic...more everything. If you have an open mind, if you like books that push the limits, that are gritty and angsty and all encompassing, then you need to read this series!!!

I could not put this book down! It picks up right where Need left off.
Brayden has become an almost creepy stalker but he is actually just a love sick puppy. I can't help but love him. Unfortunately he is a dumb#ss man and made some stupid mistakes but for some pretty honorable reasons.
Kira is stubborn as hell and full of anger but not without reason. She frustrates me, damn the girl can hold a grudge and refuses to give in to what her heart wants.
This couple takes sexual tension to a whole different level. They still have the game of almost but not quite sex going on and it gets pretty damn hot. When they finally connect Oh. My. Goodness I needed a cold shower.
Braydon is determined to get his girl, he truly loves her. She is HIS whether she is ready to admit it or not. (This is where the stalker tendencies show)
Kira is hurt deeply and wants to use him, like a personal dildo. (her words not mine). She sure is good at walking that tightrope between love and hate but she bound to fall.
The wait for next book may kill me. That ending holy crap what is going to happen now?

Shame on me I just finished reading the second book in this series & it's not the man whore theme that irks me but in it we have this 21 year man still defending the libido of his 17 year old horny self to a 15 year old naive girl still trapped in an 18 year old woman's body. She should get over it.This book is basically her now legally able to have sex on every surface. So he had sex with other women while she was legally unable to engage in intercourse.END OF THE WORLD!!!!

This girl's mother was also lacking in this entire series. She should her been there to more actively guide her teenage daughter. Now she is all grown up & attempting to kill other girls because of her jealousy & insecurity & if not that than using sex to manipulate men.

I understand this is fiction but in reality it's impossible to expect any college bound male to be faithful to a 15 year old girl. That would be cruel & unusual punishment.I'm just not understanding why he is even groveling.

I expected more maturity & growth from this book & all I got was college porn.

Finally!

I read "Need" last year and just love it. Too bad I had to wait a year for "Take" to be released.
The book was great. Can't wait for book 3 :)!

Every month or two, i stumble upon an amazing book. A book that grips my heart and toys with it...and i love every second of it. ♡ ♥ ❤❣❥

The beginning starts of mysterious and dark. A guy lurking in the shadows, spying on his ex. When he comes face to face with another guy who is crazy about her... i had goosebumps from the very beginning. :) it was so good, i wanted to never to stop reading it.

K.I. Lynn is a literary genius! Every word on every page was perfect. I wouldn't change one thing. Well...maybe Brayden's name. Brayden? Really? But thats nothing to fuss about when your gifted with reading such an amazing story with characters that clench your heart by the balls. Truly great writing! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) i mean, just this sentence alone: “He spits on the ground, painting the concrete red” ...what?!?! Genius!

Talk about putting me on an emotional rollercoaster... I went from feeling gutted and drained of all hope to mentally jumping up and down, cheering Brayden on! Then, 2 minutes later, I'm laughing like a freakin hyena on crack. (Well you get the picture) :D
Hahahahaa! ❤

“I bite down on my lip, trying to shift away. “B-Brayden. Stop. Please.”
Sucking on his bottom lip, he rubs my cl!t again, soft circles that almost make me levitate off my damn seat. “You need to come, Kitty. Let me give it to you. I’m dying for it.”
“St-stop. People . . . my friends.”
“I’m keeping an eye out. Don’t worry about that. Just feel me.”

Brayden is the king of teasing! From his naughty texts to his fingers massaging Kira's cl!t under the table in a restaurant....it doesn't get any better.
Is it wrong i just wanna lick him... :D Haha...
His love is all-consuming, punishing yet rewarding as f#%k and oh so hot!

"Her p#ssy’s so tight like this, and it’s only my finger inside her ass. She goes frantic on me, thrusting back and forth, her body pounding hungrily.
I can’t fucking breathe. I rip my mouth away from her, gasping for air. It does nothing. The pleasure is too intense. My entire world’s spinning and Kira keeps riding me, her head thrown back.
She’s moaning too loud, bordering on screams. Someone’s going to hear her, and I don’t give a flying f#%k."

Jennifer is the ultimate bad-girl-evil-villain you love to hate. The classic hot girl who feels entitled to everything and everyone because of her popularity.

“I just can’t stand that of all people, why her? Jennifer’s f#%ked half the school. Who knows what diseases she’s carrying.”
“Excuse me? What the f#%k are you saying about me?” Jennifer asks as she steps forward.
It’s then I realize we’ve gained a few prying eyes and ears, including slutty herself.
I take another swig of the open bottle in my hand. “I was talking about how you’ve ruined the pool of available guys in the area.”
Her blue eyes are wide, jaw tight. “Who are you to judge me? What makes you so special, Kira?”
“I don’t f#%k every guy in a ten-mile radius.”
“No, you’re a c#ck tease who has them running to me when you won’t put out.”
My eyes go wide and I step forward, practically snarling. “You are so disgusting! Is that how you’re going to go through life? On your back?”

PS: if you love steamy, erotic, lip-biting sex scenes, this book has plenty!

“Oh God, baby. The way you say my name. You ready for me? Ready for my come?”
He’ll never know how f#%king much.
Brayden yells out. “F#%k, baby! F#%k, I love you.”
Pain.
Pleasure.
My soul grasps at the flimsy remnants of that connection again, trying to rebuild it somehow.”

Then ending.... It. Ends. On. A. Cliff-hanger!!!! Oh My God, i need book 3 like a drug! I highly recommend this book, & this series to every breathing person on this planet! ;)

Almost all sex and no real story - oh and angst galore. I don't think I have ever read a story with this much back and forth...it's really starting to grate on my nerves.

All the alpha-male-ness was a bit OTT. There was talk of killing people if they even touched Kira, and breaking faces and maiming people....I mean, it seriously became too much. I love devotion and loyalty and all that shit but it's just laughable at this point.

On to the third and final book - hoping this one goes quickly.

Sexy, Sensual, and forbidden.

I will start off by saying that I am completely head over hills for Brayden at this point. It's impossible not to be, he's sexy, smart, possessive in just the right way, and will move mountains to make his women happy. *sigh*

He made a lot of mistakes in the past, some that could ruin his chances of concurring her heart. However he is determined, and spends the whole book proving that he is worthy of her.

"I love you, and I'm doing everything I can to make you see it. To see how much I can't live without you."

Kira is 18 and it is officially legal, that means that there is nothing to stop Brayden from trying to claim her at full force. The problem is that while her heart wants him, her brain is warning her to keep her distance.

"This heartbreak has become warped. Misshapen. It no longer even resembles heartbreak, but something more akin to trauma.
It's unfixable.
I'm unfixable.
There's no going back."

I spent a good portion of this book falling for Brayen, and an even bigger portion being completely frustrated with Kira. I understood that she was hurt and I even understood why she had a hard time forgiving him. While I loved that she just didn't forgive him right away, I  felt like she took her stubbornness too far because it lasted for the ENTIRE book! I was expecting for them both to find some kind of happiness in this book and it didn't happen because she simply refused to admit her feelings for him.

"What do I have to do? Why can't you forgive me?"
"Because I don't want to"..."You don't deserve to just have a happily ever after with me. Not after all of that."

The ending just about killed me and if I had to wait for the next book I don't know what I would do! Take is another winner in this series.

I feel like I've waited forever to get my hands on this.
Ever since I finished Need I've wanted to carry on Brayden and Kira's story.
Kira is most definitely a women scorned throughout this book. She is holding back all of her true feelings because she is hurt by Braydens actions and all the women hes had.
Kira is so angry and heart broken that I had no idea how Brayden would be able to win around and get her to admit her true feelings.
I thought it was very clever for the authors to still have duel P OVs in this book because I think without it the reader would side with Kira very easily as Braydens actions towards Kira are not the best. However as we really got to understand Brayden and his inner thoughts, as a reader we was able to see where he was coming from and his reasoning behind his actions which makes you soften to him and then fall in love with him too.
Brayden really tries to make up for his past behaviour and does really really fight for Kira, which I loved but he has a very long way to go before Kira will forgive him.
The angst and back and forth between the 2 kept me on the edge of my seat.
I didn't agree with some of the things Kira did throughout the book and think she has took things to far with punishing Brayden.
I hope she wakes up and realises what's in front of her fast as if she doesn't stop being stubborn and holding a grudge, it's her that will end up paying eventually...with her heart!
I loved this book but was really disappointed to find that there is another wait in store for book 3. I really hope we are not kept waiting as long this time.

I'm so glad that Take picks up right where Need left off.

Brayden and Kira are not on the same page in this book. At. All.

Brayden has figured out that no matter what he does to try to move on, he is miserable without Kira. He wants Kira and has stopped fighting it. He doesn't want anyone else.

Kira is a woman scorned. She just can't get past all the other women that Brayden has been with. She doesn't want to be vulnerable to Brayden because he broke her heart before. And I'm so glad that Kira doesn't just roll over and forgive him with one declaration of love. She is strong, sassy and stubborn.

All while Brayden is trying to prove himself to Kira, she figures she will just....use him for sex.

Excellent idea.

This makes for a book that has love, hate, passion, guilt, angst and tons and tons of scorching hot sex.

Scorching.

Hot.

Not to mention, they are still step siblings....so it's still all a bit taboo. This makes it even hotter for me.

I love that we still get both POV - if I wasn't in Brayden's head, I might not want Kira to forgive him so bad.

I love that Brayden really understands how big of a bastard he was to Kira and what he put her through.

I love that he is willing to wait for Kira to work through her rage at him.

I love that both characters do grow throughout the book .

I DON'T love that I have to wait for the next book!!!! Seriously ladies, I hope it's releasing next month. The wait between book 1 and book 2 was unbearable, I hope I don't have to wait 9 months for book 3. I might die.

Kira and Brayden's story continues in Take. It took some getting used to--I have no siblings, let alone step-siblings, and I'm not so convinced that the topic is as taboo as we'd like to think. But then, I'm not the moral police or an attorney either. So, I'll go to the characters. She's just turned 18, he's almost 21. His philandering divorced dad married her widowed mother just as Kira and Brayden decided to try dating as younger teens. At the time, he was almost 18 and maybe too old for her by law, and then that step-sibling thing gets in the way. But they are teenagers, so of course, this book is going to be driven by hormones on both sides of the gender line. That's the good thing about this series, the authors keep in mind the lives of teenage and young adults and what they think about--alot. And they also put the two of them in a situation that just stinks--for both of them and for her mother as his dad remains the jerk he had always been. I waited a long time for this book to release because the story is compelling. Yes, read Need first to get the flow of the books, and leave your adult card at the door. Get ready to get angry on their behalf, and to be angry with each of them for one thing or the other. It is a ride that now has me on edge for book three.

K.I. Lynn and N. Isabelle Blanco know how to bring the heat!

Awesome storyline, sexy, forbidden, and emotional! (Yup, that's right it has it all) This book is totally steam worthy. Kira and Brayden are back and OMG hotter than ever. After reading Need last year I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Take, and it did not disappoint! I was hooked from the very first page. This is one ride am glad I hopped on. Brayden Hunt has a lot to make up for, and boy does he not waste any time. I found myself torn on if Kira should forgive him or make him suffer! I don’t even know what I would do if I were in her shoes. UGH, but now I need more! I was just left hanging in the wind over here! Am really hoping we will not have to wait long for the final installment to this series!

If you haven’t started this series, and your someone who loves a good forbidden stepbrother read, I highly recommend these books!
