Famous (Famous #1) by Kahlen Aymes
4.5 stars!!

“If I needed any more proof that I was in love with him; this unspeakable sadness at losing him, was enough.”

If there is one thing that Kahlen Aymes writes extremely well it is romance and this book has it in spades. Your heart will not be the same after reading this one, it will have that warm and fuzzy feeling, you will have swooned till you could swoon no more but most of all you will be left feeling extremely happy and have a grin from ear to ear. They say that romance is dead but this book brings it all back to life, makes you a believer if you were waning, to say I loved it was an understatement.

What I also loved about this book were the references to Ryan and Julia, I think it was a master stroke following the lives of the two leading actors/actresses that were entrusted to bring The Remembrance Trilogy to life on the big screen. I thought that Ryan Matthews was the most swoon worthy male to have ever graced a Kahlen Aymes book but Cade Carlisle, OMG Cade Carlisle, OMG Cade Carlisle, OMG Cade Carlisle…sorry I was remembering…Cade Carlisle is something else!!

Brook Holloway is an up and coming actress, she has starred in some indie films but for Brooke the fame and stardom is not important, she likes films that have a message, for her it is all about the art. She has her head firmly planted on her shoulders, she is not fame and money hungry and is a really strong and endearing character. The Remembrance films though may catapult her into the spot light, especially as Cade Carlisle has been cast as the leading man.

Cade Carlisle is the epitome of a Hollywood A List Actor, he has the films under his belt, he has the millions in the bank and he has a bevy of women throwing themselves at him. But underneath all the Hollywood glitz and glamour is a man that just wants a normal life, he just wants normalcy, he wants to settle down without all the paparazzi and just be Cade for a while. I also have to mention that Cade is British, his accent really came through his voice in this book and being British myself, I loved it. I could picture him, I could hear him but most of all, I loved him dearly.

The attraction between these two came to the forefront at castings, Cade instantly felt drawn to Brook and so it seemed the chemistry for Ryan and Julia was cast. Even though Brook was a relative unknown Cade championed her for the role, Cade’s opinions hold a lot of weight so Brook got the job.

“I’ve loved you from the minute our eyes met; and when we kissed…I was lost.”

These two had spent months together rehearsing lines and getting into character. Cade had fallen hard but had to keep it all to himself because Brook is already in a relationship. The friendship that these two forged though was impenetrable. They trusted each other implicitly, they totally “got” each other, they had similar interests, the same sense of humour, same musical taste, they were just perfect for each other, just like the two characters they were cast to play. It was like Ryan and Julia playing out before your eyes all over again. These two truly were soul mates but as usual life always gets in the way and Brook’s boyfriend was the biggest obstacle.

“…one word from him could take me to heaven, or plunge me to hell. It was a precarious, yet glorious place to be.”

Cade though was not that kind of guy, he wouldn’t make Brook choose, he kept his feelings to himself and had to suffer the agony of seeing Brook with someone that wasn’t him, however, does Brook feel the same? I loved the way that Cade held back, no matter how intense his feelings were he waited for Brook to play catch up. I felt his emotional pain, it killed me at times but this only made their story more real.

“You’re everything that matters to me.”

This is not a love triangle, so please do not go into this book thinking it is. This is a book about a beautiful friendship that has the potential to be something bigger, something so much bigger. Brook and Cade need to work through a lot of things and if it was meant to be it was meant to be. As usual with any relationship but especially Hollywood ones there will be those that are determined to keep them apart but with “A Love Like This” I only see failure on the cards.

“I felt like my soul had left my body.”

Kahlen Aymes really delivered on character connection and emotion in this one. I loved these characters with a passion, their chemistry radiated off the page and you couldn’t help but be pulled into their little bubble. While sometimes I felt that there was a little too much “love” it didn’t detract one bit from their story and I was fully invested. I cannot wait to see where this story is going to go, but one thing is for sure, I will be coming along for the ride.

DNF for me!
I tried really really hard with this book, but my reading time is so limited right now that I just can't continue to read a book I am not enjoying...

The book starts with the characters already in love, so we see nothing of how they met or how they fell in love. This lead to (for me) absolutely no connection between the characters at all. I didn't know why they were together or why they were in love.
It just didn't feel believable.

Then there is all the unnecessary drama. There was no reason that they couldn't be together and yet we got this huge dramatic goodbye and confessing their undying love.
Then came more misunderstandings. It just got a bit annoying to be honest.

I found myself just not really caring what happened to them both and that's when I decided to stop.

I'm sure that many people have enjoyed this book and what I have said is purely my opinion. I just need much more depth and grit to the books I read...

This book is fabulous! I did not think I could find a leading man more swoon worthy than Ryan Matthews, but Kahlen Aymes has found him in mega movie star Cade Carlisle.

Famous follows the all-consuming love story of Cade and Brooke, who were cast to play the roles of Ryan and Julia in the film adaptation of the Remembrance Trilogy.

When the filming started there was an instant connection between Brooke and Cade. Their on screen chemistry was like no other. Brooke did everything she could to stop her feelings for Cade because she was in a relationship with David. No matter how hard she tried, she could not stop how her heart felt for Cade.

The road to being together for Cade and Brooke was lined with many roadblocks. You will laugh, cry, scream and have a near panic attack at times when reading this book. Get ready to swoon and fall into this all-consuming love story. I'd give this book 100 stars if I could!

I was hoping for more, but Aymes stayed true to her style in writing and I repsect that. I can say this wasn't my favorite, it felt repetitive with her other stories...it was good, but not great. Full review to come...

~ 4.5 Famous Stars ~

If you're looking for that really sweet and romantic love story between two actors who will do just about anything to overcome the obstacles and hurdles that come their way just to be together, then this is the book for you!!

The Remembrance Trilogy is one of my ALL TIME favorite trilogies, so colored me surprised to pick up Kahlen Aymes's newest book, and find out it is about a movie based off of that trilogy. No this isn't a retelling of Ryan and Julia's story, but we do get little snippets here and there just to remind you of their books, this is completely Cade and Brook's own story. It is actually a great portrayal of what goes on behind the scenes with the actors of a movie.

This story was filled with sexual tension, angst and some drama to keep it interesting. Kahlen does a great job drawing you into Cade and Brooklyn's world. There is a reason why I will read anything Kahlen Aymes writes. To me her books are what fiction and fantasy are truly about. She creates a story and a Hero that we would all love to live and meet ;) The only problem I had with this book was that there was hint of cheating ( it was covered up with them being actors and acting out a scene and also her fighting her feelings but to me it was a fine line. ) and the element of a love triangle. Now with that said, this book was still very enjoyable because both of those aspects are nipped in the bud fairly early in the story. Brooklyn chooses who she wants pretty quickly. I just feel that the readers should be warned because those aspects are hard limits for some people.

This book is the first in the series and ends with a Happy For Now/ To Be Continued ending. Brooklyn and Cade end in a happy place, but we know their story isn't over. I am looking forward to where they go from here. I am nervous for all the hurdles that are most likely still to come for them.

I liked most of the secondary characters that are introduced in this book. I am hoping to see more of them in future books. Most of them were great supports to Brook and Cade. Kahlen did add some characters that I wanted to throat punch, but if they weren't in there, then we wouldn't have the angst and drama of the story.

So if you are a fan of Kahlen Aymes's Remembrance Trilogy, then you don't want to miss this new series!!! Or if you are a fan of those over the top mushy, lovey, dovey, fairytale romances, then this is the book to read!!! This book was right up my alley :)

From beginning to end I had my struggles with this one.
I love the cover and the idea and story line are good but it was somehow hard to believe that these two Fall for each other this hard this fast.
Cade is 23 and all handsome superstar from London but also charming and smart. Brook is 18, somewhat immature as she’s new to the business.
I loved these two as characters and could feel the chemistry between them but they don’t talk much besides telling each other how much they’re in love.
Still I grew into liking these two and really want to know how their story continues as I loved the end.

If you are looking for unique then Kahlen Aymes really should be one of your first ports of call because she delivers a masterful creation in this the first of her new series.
I loved the whole scenario that surrounds this book, the synopsis that this follows the actors selected to play the main characters from Kahlen’s hugely successful Remembrance Trilogy in a movie adaptation of the books.
The remembrance trilogy is the story of Ryan and Julia and no, I am not going to go into the whole story because if you haven’t already read it (and it is not vital that you have with regards to the is book) then I would suggest that you give it a shot when you have a moment, tuck yourself up in a comfy spot with a packet of tissues and enjoy a story of complete adoration.
But this is not Ryan and Julia’s story it is Caden and Brooklyn that take their rightful place at the helm and I have to say they were great characters who hooked me almost immediately.
Caden is an old hand in the movie business, he has been gracing the screen for years and this handsome, enigmatic man is every inch the leading man. His legions of fans have ensured that he is a box office sensation.
Brooklyn is new to the industry, with this being her first movie but she is more than able to take on her role and is determined to put everything that she can into it. And staring opposite the magnificence of Caden is a dream come true.
When they first meet the spark of lust is ignited and Caden feels an instant connection with his new co-star that he just can’t quite put his finger on. There is just something about her that has him drawn to her like a moth to a flame and the attraction I have to say proves to be mutual.
The situation is mudded by the fact that Brooklyn is already in a relationship with David and Caden is not prepared to be the catalyst in the demise of that relationship no matter how much he wishes he could have her to himself. I loved the fact that this huge movie star was so proper, so correct and willing to be so gallant. His feelings towards Brooklyn were far from insignificant to him but he understood that sometimes, no matter what you can meet the right person at the wrong time.
Brooklyn initially finds it difficult to distinguish whether the feelings she is experiencing are purely due to the intensely emotional roles that they are both undertaking or whether there is something between the two of them that they are fooling themselves by ignoring.
God, I loved the attitude that Brooklyn had towards the career she has chosen and the film, she sees it for the great opportunity that it is but she refuses to be drawn into the melee of celebrity that many a young woman in her position may revel in, she takes everything in her stride when it comes to her career but she is in a different place privately, she is in a relationship with David yes but it is far from straight forward, I got the impression that she had it in her mind that it had run its course but she was unable to see a way to out, I found this conflict fascinating, you would have thought the dichotomy would have been the other way round but that is the brilliance of the author, leading you as the reader into the unexpected.
The whole story is gentle placed before us and the romance of the whole book I thought was centred on the fact that the interleaving layers of emotion were unfolded slowly but surely before our eyes.
But of course no relationship ever runs one hundred percent smoothly, life gets in the way and events unfold that not only distract but detract from the two of them being where they need to be…together.
Brooklyn does her best to try to remedy the situation but in the end they have a decision to make and a future to embark upon, I just had to hold onto the hope that they would work through the secrets and lies and find themselves pulling in the same direction.
Caden and Brooklyn are fabulous leading characters in a book that oozes sensuality, smoulders with passion and showers you with a love that much like the characters they are playing in the film refuses to play second fiddle to anything or anyone.
I love this story already and won’t be content until I have the next book in my hand

Brooklyn Holloway and Caden Carlisle meet on the set of a movie they’re starring in together, and the attraction is instantaneous and undeniable. But Brook has a boyfriend she’s been dating for a few years. Cade’s heart is ripped out every time David comes to visit Brook on location. Cade wants nothing to do with the Hollywood glitz and glamour, or with the women throwing themselves at him all the time. He only wants Brook. When Brook realizes she can’t live without Cade and breaks up with her boyfriend, everything should be perfect—except it’s not. A clause in their contracts forbids them from having a relationship, and they have to hide the feelings that have been dying to be set free all this time.

Famous is a celebrity romance with two sweet main characters. They want to be together, but first Brook’s boyfriend and then their contracts hold them back. They have to resort to sneaking around and hiding their feelings in public, all while Brook pretends she’s still dating David. I enjoyed seeing a Hollywood good-guy, with Cade’s character being honest and dedicated. Although celebrity romance is a genre I typically love, I didn’t enjoy this book very much.

To start with, the love triangle was a little overdone. Right off the bat, we knew Brook and Cade had strong feelings for each other and Brook was blasé about her boyfriend. Actually breaking up with David was very drawn out. Brook was back and forth over her feelings for too long. Several of the situations within the triangle were cliché, like breaking up with David in public and paps taking pictures, which Cade then misinterpreted, and then he wouldn’t speak to Brook and immediately went out with someone else. Once Brook and Cade were finally together, it felt like every other line between them was “I love you,” and they constantly had to reassure each other. Both characters were too insecure over their relationship, which was supposed to be some great connection between them. One of Brook’s main insecurities was that they loved each other as people, not just as the characters they portrayed, yet they constantly used lines from the movie to express their feelings.

As far as the general plot goes, not much happened and not much was resolved. Brook and Cade got together and agreed (rather early on) they would get married, but they had to hide their relationship. At the end of the story, Cade had officially proposed (with a ring Brook couldn’t actually wear in public), yet they were still hiding the relationship and we didn’t know how much longer they’d have to hide. No decision had been made on whether there would be a second movie, which would bind them to their contracts for longer. Also, the story was clearly written to mimic a pair of real life celebrities, with not nearly enough details changed to make it original. There were even some similarities to the movie those celebrities starred in together.

Unfortunately, this book also needed a good editor. There were tense changes, comma splices, and incorrect homophones all over the place. There were also little inconsistencies an editor should point out, like when Brook put her sunglasses back on even though she had never taken them off in the first place.

I really wanted to love this book since it was based on celebrities I like, but it needed a clearer direction, more editing, and more originality.

I loved the cover of Famous and it was the cover that made me pick up the book to read. I didn't read the blurb and went straight to reading this book.

This was my first book by Kahlen Aymes. The cover had me visualizing a movie world romance which is true in this case but I have mixed feelings after finishing the book.

The starting is slow and didn't engage me at all. Several times, I felt like stopping but still, as is my habit, I persevered. Only later when I had started liking Cade and Brooke that I got engaged in the story.

The plot is good and the characterization is admirable. Kahlen's writing style is simple and she is talented but despite its simplicity, the story didn't flow for me. I wanted to feel the scenarios, experience the passion that I was reading about but I just didn't. It was like I was a spectator and everything was happening far away.

I loved Cade and his character is very expertly developed. Sometimes, he felt too good to be true but still his actions, his passion for his work and the woman he loved made me to sit up and take notice.

Brooke appealed to me because of her new-fish-in-the-pond status. She is hard working and overall a good person but her attitude towards her boyfriend who, I know, was a materialist and a fake and didn't deserve Brooke's love but still he had stayed with her in her struggling days so her bad behaviour didn't sit well with me. She could have straight away told him that it was over but instead she kept on pretending like nothing was wrong and just treated him like dirt which I think was uncalled for.

The emotional play is well done and towards the end I wanted to see these two together forever and had started feeling for these two. Cade is a hero, I would remember and I really liked him.

The end is not exactly a cliffhanger but is also not a happily-ever-after finish. The story ends on a happy and hopeful note but I felt that the needed eagerness and urgency in the reader to read what happens next with the protagonists is not developed properly and at the end, I just felt a mild curiosity. Nothing drastic that would make me want to start on the next part right away.

Overall, Famous was an okay read for me. Some parts I liked and some didn't grab me like I wanted. 3 out of 5 to it.

I received an ARC from the author and the tour organizers and I am very thankful to them. The above review is my honest and unbiased opinion and in no way influenced.

This was a unique and different story I found that I was fascinated with the concept of the story. If you were a fan of Ryan and Julia in the remembrance series you will absolutely love this book. We meet Cade and Brook who are actor's and they are portraying the parts in the first movie for the remembrance series. Cade has been acting since he was 12 and has a name for himself also has tons of fans. But when he meets Brook he is kinda lost in her and they have a unspeakable bond. Brook is just starting in acting this is her first film. As time goes by they aren't sure what's going on their feelings for each other are overwhelming. They spend alot of time together so Brook isn't sure if it's them feeling the connection because of the love story they are acting in.  Cade knows what he feels is real but there's a problem she's taken already spoken for. So he will take what he can get with her he won't force her to choose between him and David but will give all the support she needs. (intermission)  Wow you have no idea how this book makes you feel the connection between these two is magnificent. It's almost magical I wish I had met a  Cade when I was young he is the definition of perfect male. He's brittish did I mention that oh and he's gorgeous. And the freaking things he does I am in love with this character. OK back to the review sorry lol
So things happen and some how there is a miscommunication between them. Needless to say our girl tried to call and explain but damage was done. So she is determined to make sure he understands but is it possible to right a wrong. She's been hurt and now he's stuck trying to explain but in the end they finally connect. But can it be that easy to just go and be together with no obstacles in the way. No never because life doesn't come easy that way. Come and embark on this journey with Cade and Brook and see the secrets and being hurt come to life. Watch as they try to fight for each other only to learn that it's not gonna be easy. Honestly I am so excited about this series it embraces a truly beautiful love story with deep emotions. The connection and chemistry between them is breathtaking. I am a fan of this author and have been since the remembrance series so take a chance and fall in love with this story.

Kahlen Aymes starts her new series by making her Remembrance series into a movie. This is the first book in her famous trilogy and is Caden and Brooklyn’s beginning. It is the story of finding each other and struggling to find their HEA.

From the beginning Caden cannot deny his feelings for Brooklyn. The more time they spend together working on the movie set and perfecting their parts, the more he wants her to be his. Caden is a superstar, his status as a box office draw is established. He is gorgeous, talented and is truly swoon worthy. How can he keep his hands off of Brooklyn? She is involved with another man and that makes their relationship impossible.

What do you do when you are in a relationship that you no longer want and there doesn’t seem to be a way out? Brooklyn Holloway has landed a role in an up and coming movie that will propel her career to another level. Brook has never been one to stress over becoming a star. If it happens, it happens is her attitude. In the upcoming film she will be working with Caden Carlisle and getting up close and personal with him. The chemistry between the two of them is so hot that the air sizzles around them and there is no doubt that it is not just the scenes from the movie that is causing the heat.

As their time together working on the film gets close to the end decisions must be made. Will Brooklyn say good bye to Caden and continue with her other relationship? Or will she say yes to Caden and the love they both feel? Read this amazing beginning to Caden and Brooklyn’s journey, you will not be disappointed!

Hero: Caden Carlisle 4 stars
Heroine: Brooklyn Holloway 4.5 stars
Steam: 4 stars
Plot: 4 stars

✰✰✰ 5 STAR REVIEW ✰✰✰

Another amazing story from the great Kahlen Aymes. Famous will have you falling in love with Cade in no time.

When fictional love becomes so real, you will stop at nothing to live love at its fullest. But what if is a forbidden love. Would you work as hard for it?

Brook and Cade became best friends. Filming the great love story of Julia and Ryan has made them see their love and respect for one another in a different level. But this crazy love story will have to stay in the back burner for two things. Brook has a boyfriend and due to contract obligations. But could she stay away from Cade?

Cade being a British superstar is used to the fame, what he was not used to was having to hide his feelings for his co-star. Brook had become someone very important to him. But like always there was so many obstacles between them is would be difficult to hide how much he cares for her.

Famous is another great story of all times. The fresh, young love between Cade and Brook will have YOU falling in love all over again. The plot of this story has the perfect combination of love, lust, loyalty and passion.

If you have not met Cade yet, you are wasting time, you will want to grab your hands on Famous now!!!

I recommend this incredible book and can't wait to continue Cade and Brook's saga.

Kahlen Amyes is the Queen of Romance.

Cade is an actor that everyone wants, he’s sexy, sweet, can play guitar, sing and to top it off he’s British! Yup, the perfect combo. He only has eyes for one woman Brook Holloway his costar.
They might be filming the love story of Ryan and Julia, but this story is all about them. Cade and Brook have this intensity that you can feel from page one. When they are together, life is perfect, they have an undeniable connection. If only love can be that easy ,the these two have an obstacle, they can’t let anyone know how they feel about each other and because of that there are always people who will try to keep them apart.

This story is beautiful, hot and steamy! You will cheer for Brook and Cade and hope that no one gets in the way of their happiness. I was lucky enough to Beta this book and as each chapter came in I couldn’t wait to start reading them. I can’t wait for more CADE!!!!

The story line is unique and original. Its the making of the movie based upon the book series The Remembrance Trilogy. Yes I am a fan girl of Ryan and Julia epic love story. Brook and Cade are cast for the roles of Ryan and Julia. Brook and Cade connection is visible to everyone on set. But there is one problem Brook has a boyfriend. So Brook is fighting the connection but her and Cade are spending so much time together creating an amazing friendship. Cade will take what he can get as long as he can spend every second with Brook. See what happen when the movie is coming to the end of shooting. Cade and Brook see their time together coming to an end........

Ok, so I have not read the Remembrance Series so I think that is why when I first started this book and the way it started I was like "Wow,
why would it start this way?" I just didn't get it. Yes, I also thought this book started off slow and at first I just couldn't get into it, but I promise, give it time. I ended up really liking this book. If you want a book with a hot British guy that is very romantic and says all the right things to make you swoon just like the woman he is talking to well you need to read this book. Of course, there is also going to be some drama that a book just has to have along with a little jealousy. You get it all in this book you won't be disappointed.

ARC given for an HONEST review

This book was superbly written. The author pulls you in with gut - wrenching emotional scenes between Caden and Brooklyn, the two main characters. The story itself is very believable. it is a great lead up to the next book in the series. I cant wait to read more. if this is your first introduction to the Remembrance series, don't get discouraged in the prologue and chapter one, you will see where the story is going quickly.

My love for Ryan and Julia was the reason I wanted to read this series. However, it fell a bit short for me. I feel that there could have been more angst and storyline- I grew tired of reading of how much they loved and wanted each other. To me this did not live up to the remembrance series unfortunately.

“I do, I will, I want, I wish, I love you. All of it, I’ll never forget.”
~ Brooklyn

This is my first book by Kahlen Aymes and what a wonderful book. It is so well written and the characters had me feeling. The beginning was a little slow for me and there were some actions I didn’t understand until the age of Brooklyn was revealed and it made more sense to me. I like angst in books but I prefer true love stories. This book had both. There is definitely angst in the beginning but the love between Brooklyn and Cade is so real and raw.

Brooklyn has gotten her first big break in the movie industry. She is staring opposite one of the hottest male actors right now. They are portraying the ultimate love story in screen while behind the screen they are trying to fight to not let it spill over to real life. Not because they don’t want to but because there are people and things that are blocking them. Brooklyn is a little naïve and young but there is a maturity about her that shows through. She has a good head on her shoulders but also has that vulnerability that comes with her age. She is a wonderful character that shows how much she cares for people. She worries about everyone else before herself. Is willing to let her happiness go just to keep from hurting other people.

Cade is the most wanted actor in Hollywood. He is young, hot and British. Not only is he an actor but he is also a musician. SWOON!! Cade is such an old soul. He is so sweet, caring, loving, and knows just what to say to make you swoon. He is everything Brooklyn needs in her life. He will fight for her and won’t take no for an answer. He shows how much he loves her from the beginning because of what he was willing to sacrifice for Brooklyn’s happiness.

This was such a wonderful sweet love story. I am almost scared of book 2 because these characters have drawn me into their love story and I don’t want anything else to rock their boat. On that note there is no way I won’t be reading book 2. There is a second book but I wouldn’t really classify the ending as a cliffhanger. Where the author ended book was a great point to end it. It left me wanting to know more about these young lovers but I wasn’t ready to throw my Kindle either.

~Stephanie

Brook is a newcomer to the Hollywood scene, getting ready to wrap on her first major film that will likely send her career catapulting. She’s just turned eighteen and is cast opposite Caden Carlisle, a Hollywood A-lister and known womanizer. There is no denying the sizzling attraction between the two both on and off the set, but her heart belongs to another, David, a man that Brook has known for years and is expected to likely one day marry. Soon though, Brook begins to realize that her feelings for Caden are unlike any that she ever felt for David, and that she and Caden are meant to be together.

When things finally look like they might be working out for the two, small print in their contracts specifically states that they are not allowed to date other cast members. This might not be a problem if it were just the one movie, however the two may be on tap for a trilogy, keeping them apart for possibly years to come. Brook must decide if her career is worth giving up for Caden, and Caden must decide just how far he’s willing to go for Brook. Could their relationship be doomed before it even has the chance to start?

The attraction between the two is quite obvious, and their relationship seems to be genuine. The lengths that the two are willing to go for each other as well as the investment of their loved ones is endearing and make the connection all the more believable. This is a great New Adult take on the movie star trope with well written characters and an engaging storyline. Caden was most definitely a swoon-worthy leading man!

I enjoyed the story but there were a few things that did bother me over the course of the book. There were repeated episodes of “I love you!”, But I love you more!” back and forth that became quite grating as well as the continued use of “hmmph” or other expressions of bodily noises that were kind of distracting. I did love the sweet romance at the heart of the story and am definitely looking forward to seeing how Caden and Brook’s story ends as we’re left with a cliffhanger.

My review:

Looks like Kahlen Aymes has done it again with Famous!! She has given us another fairy tale love story! I have read all her books and she never disappoints. She makes you swoon through each one. The woman knows how to write romance.

Famous will give you butterflies, keep a smile on your face and make your heart soar. It takes you behind the scenes of the bright lights of Hollywood. Kahlen has incorporated her first series into this one. The Remembrance Trilogy will be on the big screen. The two main characters, Caden and Brooklyn will be starring in it, as Ryan and Julia. Talk about life imitating art.... When these two meet, they have an instant connection and become best friends. What starts out as friendship morphs into love. Before they even realize it, they quickly become addicted to one another. It's not all smooth sailing, there are a few obstacles. Seems like every thing is trying to keep them apart.... lots of ups and downs with tons and tons of passion.

As much as I love Ryan, Caden has one up on him, it's his beautiful English accent. Ahhhhh. He is the perfect English gentleman.... Charming, classy and oh sooo sexy. He is Hollywood's it boy. How could Brooklyn resist falling for him?? Brooklyn may be young and new to the business, but she's beautiful, smart and sassy. Caden sure has his hands full. They make for a perfect couple. Too bad no one can know! I must also mention, the many supporting characters, which only complement the book. There is one annoying witch that you will want to choke repeatedly!! All tantalizing ingredients!!

Be prepared to get caught up in a whirlwind romance with just enough angst. I can already tell this will be a hit series for those of us, who just love, LOVE!!!

Cade is the million dollar celebrity with the looks to match. Everything falls at his feet including movie roles and women. On the outside he appears to have it all, except for the one thing he cannot have.

Brooklyn is a star on the rise looking to make her name in the movie world. Her starring role with Cade is just the boost her career needs. This role is also bringing some changes both good and bad. Cade stirs up feelings for Brooklyn. Feelings she has only for him and not her long time boyfriend, David. Along with this new curve ball to her life she now has paparazzi, glamour and A-list status which she would give up in a second for just one minute alone with Cade without prying eyes. She just cannot deny the pull she has to him any longer.
I had not read the Remembrance Trilogy going in to this, but I really want to now. I would love to see the story of Ryan & Julia first hand. I liked what seemed like a glimpse in to what celebrities might actually go through working so closely with each other, especailly on romance movies. They can make anyone fall in love, right?
Is their love real or just their acting? Would their love last beyond the film when they go their separate ways back to their lives? Is their love Ryan & Julia or truly Brook & Cade? Will contacts threaten all they have? Will people in their lives pull them apart?

“Don’t forget to remember me.”
These two are hard to not remember. They will make you swoon with their stolen glances, secret moments and romantic gestures that at times seem over the top, but so is being a celebrity making this a lovely, feel good romance story. The perfect escape.

This book began a new series by Kahlen but visited a series must loved already by the fans of Kahlen's work. Ryan and Julia from the Remembrance Trilogy are brought to the big screen in a movie with A-lister Caden as Ryan and up and coming newbie Brooklyn as Julia.

This is a completely new concept in Romance for me- never have I seen a storyline for one series carried into a completely new series in this way. I liked the way it was carried out- if you have never read the Remembrance Trilogy this will make you want to and if you have, will make you love it more.

“If I needed any more proof that I was in love with him; this unspeakable sadness at losing him, was enough.”

Brooklyn is young and sassy and Caden is famous and proper- they are like yin and yang and it makes their budding relationship on and off screen very fun to watch. The chemisty between characters is fabulous in this book, there is a struggle to avoid budding feelings between the two main characters since Brooklyn is already in a commited relationship with someone else when she starts to feel something for Caden, the storytelling is masterful as always and this is a book not to be missed. I give it 4.5 stars- there are some times the dialogue is repetitive and some scenes drag a little, but there is so much to love in this book that those minor infractions were not going to cost this great book and the beginning of an awesomely promising new series an entire point in the rating. Highly recommended and call this a must read. ~ Kellie for Eye Candy Bookstore

Review of Famous (Famous #1) by Kahlen Aymes

Review done for Hooked on Books

4 out of 5 stars

Brooklyn Holloway is an actress staring in one of her first major film projects with the gorgeous and famous Caden Carlisle. He is every woman’s fantasy.

Their roles in the film have them constantly working together both on and off the screen. Brooklyn is beautiful and like no other woman Caden has ever met. She is confident and smart. She doesn’t like him because of his fame.

Caden is smart and talented and Brooklyn can’t stop herself from being drawn to him, even if she is with someone else.

Their feelings for each other continue to grow and both of them have to make some major life decisions to be together.

They are perfect for each other but their lives are constantly pulling them apart.

This is a great story. I loved Caden; he is super hot. For as young as Brooklyn was, she was actually pretty mature. I was happy that she made some tough decisions before getting into a relationship with Caden.

The only complaint that I really had was that there was a lot of repetition some times. I understood they love each other but it just seemed that they were constantly telling each other and it made the book drag on a little bit.

I would recommend this book and I can’t wait to read book 2 to see what happens to Caden and Brooklyn.

I'm not gonna break it down too much. It just didn't work. Alright, I'm going in. The main characters seemed flat. There was nothing interesting about them. The beginning of the story, it at least felt like they had something, but middle and end if book, all they could say to each other and about each other was " Oh baby you're so hot"...... uhm. .... really? if it sounds lame, it's because it was! If I rolled my eyes ONE more time, they seriously would have fallen out! like seriously! ugh!
The language was also a huge disappointment. It felt SO juvenile! I honestly thought it wad the author's first novel. lol. It isn't and the other books have terrific ratings. uhm. .... not sure then. Maybe these characters and storyline just didn't work. I am going to have to check out the other books, they sound good. But, honestly, imma have to leave this one in the past. .........
oh oh oh. before leave! I just realized what this book reminds me of. It reads like an over acted Spanish telenovela. seriously! It really does. lol
I am disappointed though. I love Hollywood love stories. Bummer mate.
