Savaged is an erotic anthology with four stories that covered a variety of heroes and situations. It was a quick hot read for those who like their sex scenes straight to the point supported by some background stories. Below are the summaries for each story:
Same Time Tomorrow
Julian was a busy executive with no time to spare when it comes to his sexual relationship/needs. To fix that, he hired an escort for a pleasurable lunch on his office desk. This one had some good tongue/mouth actions. It’s quick and dirty. Just how I like ‘em!
Cleansing Bonds
Paul was a frustrated Dom in the process of finding a new sub. Past experienced with one of his sub made him wary about taking things too far. Yvette was an abused sub looking for comfort and stability. They were both traumatized by their past experience, but learned to use each other to heal their souls.
I like the connections between the characters in this one. They were both damaged in a different way and I love seeing vulnerability in a Dom. This one was more towards a sensual BDSM.
Encounter
A college age couple craved something more exciting and pseudo-dangerous to spice up their sex life. And it ended up surprising them in a way they didn’t imagine.
This was the only couple with prior relationship among in this anthology, making them the one with the best connections.
Want No More & What I Want (Bonus – His POV)
Olivia was a newly appointed PA of a company. Too focused on her task, she ignored the warning when the emergency alarm triggered. Her bad decision led her to the handsome terrorist leader, Adam. He was looking for a revenge, only to find something more waiting for him.
This was the story I most looked forward for unfortunately the one that let me down the most. I was looking for something more intense, both physically and emotionally. I love Adam, but Olivia’s actions/decisions brought the story down.
I also prefer the story in his POV. I believe it would have worked better if that’s the only one included in this book because the contents were repeated scene to scene. His POV had more information about his background and motivations.
From the four stories above here are my favorites:
Favorite Story: Same Time Tomorrow
I love this one because it was a quick hot read that left me fully satisfied haha! It was purely sexual transaction that didn’t require much background story, yet it was the one that felt complete to me.
Favorite Hero: Adam from Want No More & What I Want
I love Adam because he was the rebel. The element of danger shot up his sex appeal to the roof. And it doesn’t hurt that he was described as “the most beautiful man”
Favorite Heroine: Valerie from Same Time Tomorrow
I love how strong her character was. Yes, she was an escort, but she held all the power. Yet when it came to pleasure, she gave up that power. It’s amazing how she could switch role in a snap.

Savaged is a sexy collection of short stories created to stretch your limits and awaken all of your senses (literally). You cannot possibly read this book and not be turned on (or off) depending on how you feel about each individual story. In this review, I have tried to give you enough information without giving too much away! I think it is best to enter this one blind! So get your blindfolds ready....
"I don’t know if this is the sort of thing my mother would consider a relationship or not, but for the first time in a long time, I feel relaxed and at ease."
Mr. Reddick is experiencing a sexual dry spell. However, his current condition isn't based on his inability to lure in a worthy counterpoint. Instead, he is overworked and unable to manage the time to squeeze (no pun intended) a worthy partner. Then he discovers a way to "schedule" some needed sexy time by hiring an escort. He calls the contact and makes an appointment with the temptress Ms. Wood. This is the story of their encounter.
"She settles back on her heels and looks up at me, the same look of worship on her face. For a moment, I feel like an absolute king."
The meeting is successful and Mr. Reddick doesn't hesitate to schedule a repeat appointment for the next day. No doubt this is one meeting that he will put on his calendar permanently.

Cleansing Bonds is a story of two damaged individuals. Paul is a dominant who has been avoiding his desire to live in the lifestyle because of guilt. Yvette is a submissive who is also trying to find her way back into the lifestyle. They both struggle to make a way. Do they have the ability to heal each other?

"I’ve been waiting for this. Blood pumps adrenaline through my system as I wait and watch. I’ve never felt so alert, so electrified. My palms sweat, and I keep licking my lips in nervous anticipation of what I’m about to do."
Encounter was definitely my favorite of the stories. As it begins, we don't know exactly what is happening OR worse what is about to happen? Yet, we soon learn that a man is going to help his girlfriend live out a very dark fantasy. For me, this story had the most depth. I lavished in the suspense and mystery all while swooning over a man that would give himself so freely to make his girlfriend happy. The mixture of suspense, raw sensuality and tenderness was a winner for me!
"She’s trying to look as if she’s horrified, but I know the sparkle of excitement in her eyes."
"I stroke the side of her face gently. I mouth the words “love you” at her, and the corners of her mouth twitch up."
"If someone told me ignoring a fire alarm to fight with a copy machine would totally change my life, I never would have believed it."
In this story, we meet a young business woman named Olivia. In the hustle and bustle of the job, she finds herself battling the copy machine on a different floor from her office. It seems like a normal day and yet her life is about to change. The fire alarm goes off. There actually isn't a fire but instead a group of vigilantes that have taken over the office. Adam the leader of the crew needs Olivia to help him break into her bosses files. Not only does Olivia help Adam with the files but she also takes a special interest in Adam.
“If I were your boyfriend, I’d be leaving marks all over you just to make sure every other man who got near you knew you were mine.”
What I Want is a repeat of Want No More but told in Adam's POV. Although I appreciated the additional perspective, I felt overall that it didn't enhance the overall reading experience for me. However, it was revealed why Adam broke into the office.
This was probably my least favorite of all of the stories. Although Olivia and Adam had a great deal of sexual chemistry between the two, the connection itself was just a little too far fetched to accept.
Overall, I enjoyed this read. It was sexy and pushed me out of my comfort zone. Because it was a collection of short stories, I missed the character background. I definitely missed the deep characterization. Most of all, I missed the HEA. All of the stories are left open for you to decide. Truth be told, I haven't read a Shay Savage book that I haven't adored. This one definitely did not leave me disappointed. If you are looking for sexy read that will get your blood pumping, look no further.

Savaged is comprised of four short stories focusing on the theme of domination and submission.
1. Same Time Tomorrow
“Don’t hesitate. Don’t second guess. Just obey me.”
A busy executive who hires an escort for an extended lunch session. What he soon discovers is that he wants more and is willing to double her fee for the next session. While it is a short read, it is a fun and hot romp.
2. Cleansing Bonds
“I’m starting to think those Butterfingers made you hyper.”
Paul is a Dom without a submissive. Yvette is a sub searching for the right Dom. On a trial period, Paul agrees to dominate Yvette for one weekend. Both are broken and insecure for different reasons, but soon discover they cleanse each other’s past. (Note: this story has the infamous Butterfinger scene – a shout out to my wingy and fellow Shhlut, Snow!)
3. Encounter
“How far does it have to go before you’re nothing more than my slut?”
A college aged couple decide to act out a fantasy. During this fantasy, the boyfriend (Jason) is conflicted about the act because he enjoys certain aspects of the domination and control. It is an interesting inner monologue because even though they agreed to this fantasy, Jason is still trying to wrangle all his feelings about liking it so much. The story is hot and packs a punch.
4. Want No More (Olivia’s POV) & What I Want (Adam’s POV)
“Is that going to …fit? Yeah, baby. It will fit.”
Yvette is a personal assistant for an evil man. Adam is the leader of a black ops group charged with obtaining information on Yvette’s boss. When the entire building is evacuated, Yvette remains and meets Adam face to face. Their encounter becomes heated and she realizes this is the opportunity for which she’s been waiting.
Summary
Of the four stories, I connected with most with Jason in Encounter. If you’re looking for a quick read with lots of sexy times, look no further.

.....Four twisted tales of need and lust. I really liked each of them for very different reasons, and I was left with wanting to know more with all of them.

Just expect some hot little stories in different situations.
It was quite a short book to begin with, but with 4 different stories squeezed in, there's not a lot of depth to 2 of the stories, they felt like sex for sex's sake. I think i would have preferred to just have had the one i enjoyed the most (the one with the most action and story), a hundred pages longer and produced as a novella.
That said, I felt like Shay showed us more to her. Even though i've loved her books in the past, some of the Heroes always felt a little samey, but in this collection, they definitely did not. I also liked seeing her write from a female POV. Plus the dirty talk was great ;)

12/31/14 - On Sale for a limited time!
Savaged is a compilation of short, erotic stories from Shay Savage. When I read something like this, I look at it as if these are just samples of a larger story – and whether or not they held my attention or caused me to want more of the particular story/characters. There are aspects that will always be lost in these shorts. There is very little material to gain a connection to the characters, they are short and to the point so you can’t rely on the author building up tension over the course of pages of material... you just sort have to jump right in and just have fun.
There were some stories that I liked more than others and one in particular that I think would have made for a great full novel. Overall, this is about a four star read. With some parts overshadowing others. I really enjoyed Cleansing Bonds. I felt like had I been given a chance to see into both their back story, and then get a chance to read about their arrangement in more detail, it would have been a favorite. I loved the aspect of the D/s both coming out of similar situations and finding a way to move forward.
You get a little taste of everything with this. A CEO looking for release with a escort, a Dom in need of a sub to let go of the past and to gain faith in his instincts again, a young couple embracing their sexual fantasy and a slightly suspenseful romance centered around a hostage type situation; which you get in both POV.
For fans of Shay Savage this is a must read. It’s not the best representation of her abilities as an author, but it’s a small taste.

Loved this brief compilation here by Ms. Savage.
Honestly there was just one story I didn't like at all. The others were definitely on point. Unique & gripping. Nonetheless, I couldn't be moved from my Kindle. So I will rate them accordingly.
"Same Time Tomorrow"
4 Stars- This was the shortest one here I believe. All I can say is, how can a transaction as cold as what occurred here, be so dang hot?! ;)

5 Stars- I have to say this one is by far the best story in this book. It had the right amount of back story for such a brief read. Intriguing characters, circumstances surrounding those characters that just tug at your heart. And beyond intense emotional & physical chemistry here. I totally fell in love with Paul & Yvette was such a sweetheart. She was perfect for him. Great story.

1 Star- I did not like this one at all. I have to say I was truly hoping for this one to go a different way. Especially when you witness how it all starts. When it was clear where this particular story was going, it just fell way flat for me. Silver lining? It's not very long at all :)

4 Stars- I really liked this one. It was a nice change up since it's strictly in the female's POV, but it was an interesting tale. And quite sexy.

4.5 Stars- Liked this one even better. Considering it's the same story as the one above,(Want No More) it's just in Adam's POV. Buuut you get answers in this one that you didn't get in the 1st story. So I could appreciate that. Plus being in Adam's mind, for me at least, made the experience that much more richer. So I really liked this one.
All in all this was a good book of shorts with the exception of one. I would definitely recommend this read. Come on, it's Ms. Savage after all ;)

1 Star- I did not like this one at all. I have to say I was truly hoping for this one to go a different way. Especially when you witness how it all starts. When it was clear where this particular story was going, it just fell way flat for me. Silver lining? It's not very long at all :)

4 Stars- I really liked this one. It was a nice change up since it's strictly in the female's POV, but it was an interesting tale. And quite sexy.
"What I Want"
4.5 Stars- Liked this one even better. Considering it's the same story as the one above,(Want No More) it's just in Adam's POV. Buuut you get answers in this one that you didn't get in the 1st story. So I could appreciate that. Plus being in Adam's mind, for me at least, made the experience that much more richer. So I really liked this one.
All in all this was a good book of shorts with the exception of one. I would definitely recommend this read. Come on, it's Ms. Savage after all ;)

This was really really short. So short that I couldn't even find a little reason to connect with the characters nor enjoy the story in general.
Though, I did find Julian quite pathetic.

I really liked this a lot. I was worried after reading the description because I’m not a fan of BDSM stories, but since this is Shay, I had to stay and read. It was an unique twist for an overused storyline.

At the beginning, I was excited and wanted to know how Shay was going to pull this one off, but unfortunately it fell flat and I didn't feel much of a connection with the characters. I disliked Olivia, like girl… what the fuck are you doing? Meanwhile, Adam was whatever. I only read What I Want to know his reason for hijacking the building. I didn’t need to read Want No More all over again. So I skimmed.
Overall, I guess I expected more than I got. As you can read, some I liked a little more and some less.

It’s no secret, we are big fans of Shay Savage here at Lit Slave. The reason being is because her writings have never disappointed us. The same goes for her newest release - Savaged.
Savaged is a collection of five short stories that are straight up sexy times! These stories are HIGHLY sensual, erotic, and fantasy. Even though the stories are short, they were still packed with emotions. I think that is the hallmark of a ridiculously talented author. I felt love, compassion, and a connection with the characters within just a handful of pages.
These novellas had sizzling HOT, HOT, HOT sex!!! They really got my juices flowing, so my husband would also like to thank Ms. Savage for writing this book. ;) My favorites out of the collection were Cleansing Bonds, Want No More, and What I Want.

Savaged??? Yes, I believe I will! WOW... What a hot little group of short stories. All of these were really good and each one had an ending you’ll like and characters you’ll enjoy reading about.
1-Same Time Tomorrow
Julian is a busy executive who doesn’t have time to date. He works long hours and usually even sleeps at the office. When his brother jokes with him about his non-existent sex life, Julian decides to take his brother’s advice and calls an escort service. When he meets Valerie, he realizes how much he’s been missing and how his life has been suffering. Looks like he’ll have lunch plans from now on.
2-Cleansing Bonds
Paul is a successful businessman by day and a Dominant by night. Several years ago, his sub was injured when she didn’t safe word. It left him scared and unsure of himself. Yvette’s last Dom intentionally hurt her. However she needs that connection and wants someone to care for and take care of her. Paul and Yvette just might be what the other needs in order to heal.
3-Encounter
Melissa is attacked as she enters her apartment after a night out with friends. Is it her boyfriend Jason role playing for her fantasy, or is it real attacker?
4-Want No More
Olivia works in a building that is taken over by terrorists. She is captured trying to escape and comes face to face with Adam, the guy in charge. Adam is also the most gorgeous man she has ever seen. Olivia knows she should be scared of him, but she isn’t. She ends up helping him obtain the information he wants. Adam isn’t the only one who gets what he wants.
This was my favorite story in the book. I also like the next one (What I Want) which is told in Adam’s POV.

This short story is Adam’s POV of Want No More. We get to see that his attraction to Olivia was just as strong as hers. We also understand more what he was doing in the building and why the information was important to him.

Paul hurt a sub that didn't safe word. Yvette safe worded a Dom that didn't stop. Can these two be perfect for each other? Can they help each other heal? Low on sizzle but still a great story.

Holy hell that was smokin' hot! Jason and Melissa want to spice up their sex life with a rape scenario. When it's mutual and safety precautions are in place I say go for it. Very sexy story!

Same story as Want No More only told from Adam's pov. We get a little more info on what exactly Adam wants from Olivia's boss. Adam is definitely more of a vigilante than a terrorist. But it's still cheesy. Savage has a way of making sex scenes hotter from the male pov.

Collection of five shorts from Shay Savage. Three of these I had previously read as fan fiction. I'm not sure if the other two are new or if they were ff also, if they were I didn't encounter them in that version. All are on the edgy side, with themes of high-end prostitution, D/s, sexual role-playing and a touch of Stockholm Syndrome. Any of these shorts would work as a longer story, but I respect the restraint by the author to keep them in a shortened form and leave something to the imagination of the reader. I like Shay's voice, and while I'm not always comfortable with all her subject matter, I find her work engaging and well-written.

Want no more and what I want are my most favorite short stories ever! I like how Adam is figuring her out even though she doesn't realize the submissive messages she is sending. Olivia - is unsure of herself but is drawn to his taking control and giving orders. It is so subtle! Real. His character is protective of her and wants her from the beginning. I love that! (I am getting tired of these dominate alpha H that are mean to the h first. No thank you.) I hope someday to see a longer book with these two.

Very good short stories
Enjoyed immensely these short stories with the last being my favourite. This author knows well how to create interesting, believable characters. There is always emotional depth to her heroes and the story line is most of the time captivating. I have enjoyed most of her books/series and wish all her books were available on kindle unlimited.
Although these stories are short the are complete and very enjoyable with a lot of hot staff for those who enjoy romance.

Same Time Tomorrow is about a Dom who discovers that love and domination are possible. When Paul and Yvette meet they didn't know that the other would become their salvation.
Encounter is about building takeover gone wrong. There were not suppose to be any hostages. They thought everyone was evacuated from the building. But when Olivia was brought to Adam sparks fly and now they cannot be separated.
I would love to see both of these stories become their own book. :)
