The Truth in Lies Saga #2

The Certainty of Deception

Rate this book
After years of living in the darkness of his past, Andrew Wise, a young attorney working for his family’s law firm in Sarasota, Florida, has finally broken free of the demons that haunt him. Wealth, success, happiness, and true love; everything a man could ever dream of, was right at his fingertips. Or so he thought. But in the blink of an eye, all of that changed. Upon discovering that his ex-girlfriend, Olivia Hamilton, was pregnant, Drew fell back into some old habits, which led to him losing the one person that mattered the most in his life - McKenzie Evans.

When McKenzie left him and returned to Texas, Drew was beside himself. The night before she left, he made an agreement with her best friend Jared Christopher, that he would give her time and space to come to grips with the fact that he’d fathered her best friend’s child. Now, two months later, he feels as though he held up his end of the bargain, Drew can’t take their separation any longer. With his brother’s wedding mere weeks away, Drew devises a plan to win McKenzie back.

Under the guise of a bachelor getaway for Gavin, Drew, along with his brother and Jared, jets off on an adventure to the panhandle of Texas. There, he will learn what made McKenzie who she is and will find strength within himself that he never realized existed.

In this charming sequel to The Truth in Lies, Drew and McKenzie discover that not everything is as it seems, forgiveness is a matter of acceptance, and true love really can conquer all.

This storyline just keeps blowing me away! This is the 2nd book of a trilogy, and it carried the story way, way beyond what I anticipated. This saga is a rollercoaster of emotional highs and lows, and you just have to hang on ‘til it stops. (Temporarily, there is a book 3 in the works!) I promise, reading this book is totally worth the journey it takes you on.
The Certainty of Deception is the follow-up to The Truth in Lies. Drew is the main character, supported by McKenzie and friends Jared and Gavin. Let me tell you, reading a male character, written by a female, written this well, is amazing. 90% of drama, romance, etc. is written by females, with a female lead. The difference is refreshing. I have no idea how, but this author can make me tear up, then laugh out loud in the same paragraph!
The author came through again with the scene descriptions and played a movie reel in my head. Whether it was the Florida sand/beach, or the Texas wind/sun, I could see it playing out in startling detail. It’s not my imagination that’s great here, it’s the storytelling people. The story continued from the 1st book in a predictable manner, then it just took off and amazed me. I was not expecting the tragic depth to Drew, nor how important to the story it became. His character had so many more layers and motivations that became clear with this book.
Again, the editing was great, no major context or grammatical flaws and I sped through it without problems. The cover is beautiful, and captures the mood for this book well. While the story is achingly heart wrenching, it also is full of hope, and joy, and the promise of a better day tomorrow. Master story-weaving at it’s best. Happily waiting on book 3!

Okay, so you all know how I fell for Drew in the first book, right?
Well, after reading this masterpiece in his POV, Drew has my heart forever.
I felt his pain and heartbreak every step of the way and was consumed in the continuation of his and Mickie's love story.

Jeanne is an exceptional writer. The way she draws you in with the emotion is just breathtaking.

If you want a beautifully told love story with characters that will live with you long after you've finished the book, start this saga today.

You won't regret it!

This review might contain some spoilers, so please be aware! I read the first book in this series “The Truth in Lies” and not knowing there would a third book, was really hoping that the title of this book would lead to everyone finding out (as I hope) that Olivia is deceiving all characters involved within these stories. However, that is still undetermined (Oh I so hope, she is deceiving everyone). The deception that is being made aware in this book, is something that Drew is keeping from McKenzie; the only people that know are his immediate family, due to his father’s mandate. Even though he did withhold some information, as she points out to him, at the time they were in the early stages of their relationship, and how many of us divulge too much of any type of very personal information within weeks of meeting/falling in love with someone---you have to REALLY trust that person with this information and they just hadn't gotten to that point yet. It was truly difficult reading about Drew’s heart-breaking past. I cried, wanted to reach through the virtual pages and give both him and Kenzie hugs. You learn Drew has a temper---one that made me at times what to again reach out to hold him back—in case he went too far (and no it wasn’t with either Olivia, nor McKenzie), it was just his “Neanderthal” attitude showing through with wanting to get the love of his life back! There were also many times I so wanted to give Olivia “a what for dressing down”—she is rather delusional with her relationship (or lack thereof) with Drew. We are also introduced to a new character---and I LOVE this guy, Ethan! We also get introduced to Drew and Gavin’s father. After reading about him, it is a true wonder how Drew and Gavin are as nice as they are.

There will be a third book in the series, so not all ends are tied up. As I was at the end of “The Truth in Lies” I just can’t wait for the next book to come out. I am glad there was the little surprise at the end, as Drew will need this support when he has to face his father and Olivia in the near future. Hopefully, also we will get to meet, Drew’s twin Andie! That I am looking forward too also! And maybe some more of Ethan! He brings a new dimension to this little group!

Jeanne McDonald’s writing is very good, she started as many do these days with Fan Fiction, however the big difference with her writing is, she has only gotten better. Her confidence is coming through! Her stories show feeling; you can seem to actually feel what her characters are going through---not always does an author bring tears as you are reading about a character’s pain or laughter when a character is feeling joy and laughing at some joke that is occurring in the story. Jeanne can do this, and has done it time and time again with her stories. I have read many if not all, the books that Jeanne has written to date and I continue to enjoy her writing and she continues to keep us on our toes—does not bore us by any means! I always look forward to knowing when a new / next book will be published! And I cannot wait for the third book in this series to hit the shelves!

To say that I loved this story would be the understatement of the century! Not many books capture me like this series did, Mckenzie and Andrew's story took hold of my heart and left it hanging in the balance in The Truth In Lies. This book brought to light the past that Drew has been holding on to for so long, making him feel like he doesn't deserve things, love being one of them.
In book one we know that things are left with Drew choosing Olivia and the baby over Mickie, or so we thought. And the woman that Mickie is, she did what she thought was right, she packed up and left him with his new family. No matter how much she loves him she felt his child deserved a family and she wouldn't stand in the way, even if that meant she had to lose the love of her life.
To say I hate Olivia is another understatement! If I could punch a character it would be her. Jeanne did an awesome job developing Olivia's character from a likable best friend in book one to the mega Biotch in this book. Jared, Mickie's best friend, is just one of the lovable characters, we got a glimpse at Gavin in book one and Andrew's brother plays a huge role in this book.
Love has never been the issue for Mickie and Drew, outsiders have been, and so has the past. In TCOD we hear the story from drew's POV, which starts the night of the famous goodbye text, and continues through the time they are apart to the time he decides to fight for his girl. This book was a great next chapter in their lives but I most certainly cannot wait for the next book.
Without giving too much away (you really need to read these books) there were some parts that melted my heart and made me fall totally in love with Drew all over again, there are also parts that made me wish I could just shake Mickie and make her see that Olivia really isn't her friend. The pain that Drew goes through while Mickie is gone is heart breaking but nothing prepared me for the emotions I felt when you finally know what happened in Drew's past and why he always felt connected to the loss Mickie was going through.
Jeanne you out did yourself and I look forward to reading more!! BRAVO MY FRIEND BRAVO!!

Oh, my lord! Author Jeanne McDonald second installment of The Truth in Lies saga is in Drew Wise’s pov! I may have squealed with excitement. I was dying to get inside Drew’s head after that first book. And let me tell you Jeanne did not let us down! You have no idea how much I enjoyed this book! I was crying with laughter most of the book. Jeanne does let us in on Drew’s secret and I won’t lie. I was crying like a baby when I found out.

Where should I start, how about how much our boy Drew needed to get his girl back. He has finally pulled himself together and realized he needs his girl! He hops on a plane with his brother Gavin and Jared. Yes, Jared. The banter and absolute guy bonding while on this trip had me in stitches. It is scary how well Jeanne can write a males point of view!

These three guys set off to drag Mickie home where she belongs! I don’t think they realized how many walls a girl can build up over two months. Especially our girl Mickie! She holds her ground and lets Drew know he messed up. She cannot handle her heart being shattered like that again. Who can blame her?

Drew also has to fight with his inner demons while on this little trip to Amarillo, Texas while trying to win his girl back. And his inner demons are strong. I loved finding out what made Drew Wise the way he was. Even if it caused me to sniffle like a baby.

I have to give a shout out to Glenda aka granny. This woman is an absolute hoot! I LOVED her! You cannot read this book and keep a straight face when it comes to Glenda!

I received this to review for a blog tour. I jumped right into it not realising it was book two for quite a while. I really must do my homework before jumping into books. Having said that I loved this story and I'm so looking forward to book three. Of course I will be going back and reading book one to put the pieces of the puzzle back together.

This is a really beautiful well-told story. I so loved most of the characters especially Drew. It's a really great emotional rollercoster of a story. My emotions were all over the place.

I really do recommend this story. However don't be a twat like me and go read book one first.

This is book #2 in The Truth in Lies Saga. You do need to read book 1, Truth in Lies before reading this book. I loved this series, and could not read them fast enough. This was my first time reading a book by this author, and I loved it! I am now a fan. The writing style flows very nicely and the characters come to life with her talent. This is one summer read that you must #oneclicknow!

I can't get enough Andrew and McKenzie. I read this in one sitting. I just couldn't tear myself away from their story. As much as I can't wait for the next book, I also am just waiting for the other shoe to drop. I just hope they get their HEA.

***Review to come, 15 July, as part of blog tour***

***Little bit of a spoiler alert here*** This is a messgae I sent to the author once I finished reading. “I hate you, you made me cry” – you know what she did? She laughed (but I forgive her because this book is brilliant! ***little spoiler over***

Ever since I finished the first in this series, The Truth in Lies, I wanted to get my hands on this book! I tried so hard to take my time with this book and make it last, but I couldn’t. I had to read it whenever I could.

I know I said I wasn’t blown away by Drew in the first book, but reading things from his POV in this one has really warmed me to his character. I now see the confidence and the cockiness is a shield and something for him to hide behind. I don’t blame him, his past and revelation to Mickie reveal a lot about him and explains to the reader why he is the way he is. I have to say, I still have a soft spot for the wonderful Jared.

In this second book, Drew is determined to win Mickie back after she leaves him to head back home to Texas. He’s ready to go charging down to Amarillo, but his brother, Gavin, and Jared stall him and when he does eventually head down, they go with him. What follows is an insight into Drew and Mickie’s relationship (and breakup) from another perspective, including the jealousy Drew experiences knowing Jared loves Mickie and seeing her at ease on her home turf, surrounded by people who know her better than he does. McDonald does this with finesse and without ramming drew’s feelings down the reader’s throats, making it unbearable. It feels real.

As with the first book, I was drawn to Jared because, let’s face it, he’s a hottie musician who is excellent with kids, and what’s not to like? He’s not as prominent in this book, but the interaction between him, Drew and Gavin was wonderful, particularly when Granny comes on the scene. I will say no more, but I may have choked up a lung laughing!

All in all, it’s the prefect follow up from the first book, but be prepared to be left with just as many questions as you were with The Truth in Lies. Put it this way, I will be badgering McDonald to either give me spoilers or to write faster! So, if you want a sweet romance that will fill you with a range of emotions, this is the one for you!

I was waiting with anticipation for The Certainty of Deception (TCoD) to be available to read and was so thrilled when the day finally came when i had my hands on it!
I had to know how Drew reacted to Mickie's decision to leave Boston- I HAD to know so many things, and was worried that perhaps all my questions would not be answered or that i wouldn't have the chance to 'see' what i hoped to see. But as always, the wonderfully talented Jeanne McDonald delivered. Seeing every event from Drew's perspective was a nice, and i think necessary and valuable change in this book, so we learn more about Drew, his thought processes and what he is going through at this difficult time. I felt Jeanne perfectly captured Drew's heartache, his feelings, his turmoil, but also his love. Every moment Drew and Mickie are together in this story is true to their relationship, and yet each scene is somehow different: fun and silly, to heart-breakingly sad, anger, disappointment, and fear- it's all there. I thought the Truth in Lies was a rollercoaster, but TCoD, in my opinion has given the first book a run for it's money, and Jeanne has done a wonderful job of living up to my expectations and beyond!

As a reader, TCoD has been vital in my understanding of Drew and his family, as well as Mickie and her family- both characters have become more developed, more solid, and more understood within my mind, and i thank Jeanne for providing us with relate-able, lovable, however flawed characters that continue to stay true to themselves but also continue to develop and mature.

I am SO looking forward to the final segment of this saga (for a saga it is, let me tell you!) because i am so invested in these characters and in this story, that i must know how it ends. If you loved The Truth in Lies (or even if you didn't!) and enjoy a bit of drama and romance i highly recommend you take a read of Jeanne McDonald's The Certainty of Deception. You will not be disappointed!

In The Truth in Lies, my only complaint was that I wanted to hear Drew's POV throughout the story. Dive into his thoughts about all that was going on and really find out what lies deep in both he and McKenzie's head while they work through her own emotions. Well, I found what I wanted in The Certainty of Deception and the male driven book taking place all in Drew's incredibly sexy mind. After reading this edition of their journey, I totally got why the author chose to go in this direction. It was time for us as a reader to really understand Drew and all the demons he is living with, while moving the story along to a conclusion that better come fast!

Drew was everything I would have expected coming out of the first one and so much more. I knew he had some dark stuff in past, but my god boy, this was rough. The fact that you could see the internal struggle he faced with his feelings and his vices made this book special to me. He faced them head on for a woman who at times we weren't sure was going to let her love him....and really aren't sure if it's going to happen even after the ending! However, the progression from beginning to end between these two characters was quite remarkable but at the same time felt real. That is quite the accomplishment for a romance and I hope it continues into the finale.

The other accomplishment for me in book 2 was the side characters. I loved the fact that Jared found a plausible spot in the lives of these characters, without being hurt by McKenzie's rejection killing him daily. Integrating Drew's brother and family rounded him out nicely and of course McKenzie's family making another appearance was fantastic! The only Debbie Downer was of course Olivia.....but I think we are finally making some progress there.....maybe! This is a great contemporary romance for people that love the real events mixed with passionate romantic elements. I can not WAIT to read the last in the trilogy!

Let me start by saying that this is the second book in The Truth And Lies Saga and as such this review may contain SPOILERS if you haven't read book 1!
We pick up where we left off. Drew is on the cusp of losing his soulmate, just as his world is crashing in around him and he needs her most.
The detestable Olivia has dropped a bomb that has sent Drew's world spinning out of control. Thrust back in time, he feels all his guilt and demons consume him and he doesn't handle it well.
The loveable Kenzie is determined to leave so that her best friend can find happiness with the man she's been trying to win, despite him being whole-heartedly in love with Kenzie.
Drew finds himself at an all time low and despite his pleas, he is forced to let Kenzie go.
Jared, always the good guy and a great friend, convinces Drew to give Kenzie time but when he can no longer wait to win her back, he sets a plan in motion.
What ensues is a fight for love. Can Drew shake off the loathsome Olivia? Will he find that Kenzie has moved on? Will he finally face his past, his demons, his guilt?
And when/if he does finally reconnect with Kenzie, will she hate him for what he once did?
I didn't think this book was packed with action. It felt like more of a filler to me. That's not to say I thought it was a bad thing though. It answers a few of the questions left unanswered in the first book and definitely sets the scene for what I can only imagine will be an emotional and angst filled third book.
I can't end off without mentioning that yet again, there are far too many grammatical errors and silly mistakes (missed words, unneeded words and incorrect words) that I feel should have been picked up during the editing process.
That being said, it was a quick read and I look forward to seeing what happens when the plane lands in Boston.

Certainty of Deception is book 2 in the Truth in Lies saga, and a fantastic look into the mind of Drew.

We learn there is so much more that was left unsaid between Mickie and Drew in book 1; a fact that makes you want to smack the both of them in the heads. I mean, just TALK to each other and lay it all out already! But, if they did that, we wouldn't have this fantastic story that just keeps getting better.

As much as I know this story is about Drew and Mickie, I found myself totally adoring Jarod. I mean, I think Drew might even have a bit of a man-crush on him brewing under that Neanderthal jealousy of his. He does notice Jarod's hair.... A lot. And I love it!

Drew's revelation as to his past and his reasons for being closed off is heartbreaking. He worries so much about Mickie's reaction, fears she'll hate him. But she does what we all know Mickie will do, she simply loves her man.

No spoilers there, we know Mickie too well by this book. Her heart is big and capable of more forgiveness than any one person is normally known to have. Case in point: Olivia.

There's more angst than sexy times, but that's OK. After all, these two have a lot they need to work on and while we'd all like to see them rolling in the hay from the word "Go", Ms. McDonald is more intent on giving us a well written story with depth and heart breaking moments that leave you begging for more.

So, I guess my parting woman word is: When is book 3 coming out???

..when I left the story from the first book in this series, I had lived that romance with them, every word I hung from. Wrought with heartache I was trepidatious but excited all at the same time to begin The Certainty of Deception....afraid that the author enjoyed the act of toying with the readers' emotions, that maybe it was her intent to cost me tears.

..still, I begun to read this tale of Drew and McKenzie - as if they were characters in my life, once I started I only by force was taken from the story, and by force I mean that whole responsibility of adulthood issue that we all share..

Drew, the temperamental, passionate and respectful attorney (the description seems contrary). McKenzie, sensitive, wounded but strong enough to make the decision that's best for everyone - or so she thought. A classic tale of the best of intentions getting in the way of what is right, and the thing that everyone else knows is right. I loved every bit, every word. The author is able to capture the characteristics and nuances of her characters without over explaining them. I felt myself relating to McKenzie's strength and feeling for her in her heartache. This is more than some movies have been able to do for me. I found myself anxious for the continuation of the storyline and can't wait for the subsequent book I've heard whispers of :)

Excellent read, I recommend - and can't wait for the sequel.

Liz's Review:

In The Certainty of Deception, we are reunited with Drew and McKenzie. This time we get a peek into Drew’s point of view. Devastated by the news that his ex is pregnant with his child and the love of his life has left him, he chooses to handle the news by burying his sorrow at the bottom of a bottle. Lucky for him, he has a brother that refuses to watch him self destruct and an ally in the form of Jared. These two men do what it takes to get Drew sober, while also helping him to find the strength to give McKenzie some space. When the time is right, the three of them travel under the guise of a bachelor party, to get back Drew’s heart.

I fell in love with this pair in the first novel, The Truth in the Lies, and I keep getting sucked in. Jeanne McDonald has weaved us a love story that pulls at your heartstrings and has you rooting for the star-crossed lovers. She makes you believe in true love again.

I could read this book over and over. It hooked me from the first word and has left me thirsty for more and I wait—impatiently—for the next installment. Although this book leaves you with questions, the answers are definitely worth waiting for. I would HIGHLY recommend this book to all of the true romantics out there. Sit back and fall in love with Drew and McKenzie.

Rating: 5 out of 5 honey pots!!!

Oh my gosh, can these books get any better?
I fell hard for Drew in book one and am thrilled we get to hear from him.
The Certainty of Deception is told from Drew's POV. I adore Drew even more now, his point of view gives a whole new side to the stories, reading and feeling his heart break, suffering and the love he has for Mickie will rip your heart out. Drew's past will break your heart, his worry about Kenzie reaction to it had me biting my nails. You will want to cry, scream at some characters and slap them silly at points, but in the end you'll be so happy that things appear to be heading in a direction we've been hoping for.
As always, no spoilers from me but I will say the most despised characters, Olivia, is still reeking havoc in her own twisted way, refusing to provide information Drew wants and lying to Mickie about it.
I believe by the end of this book Mickie is at her breaking point with her "friend" Olivia. As we know from book one Mickie was a good friend while Olivia is a lying, conniving snake. I get the feeling she's going to have her world turned upside down very soon and I cannot wait for it!!

If you haven't read The Truth in Lies, grab it now and read prior to this one, you really need this story from the very beginning to fully understand each character and what their dealing with when The Certainty of Deception begins.

Anxiously waiting!!!

Okay so I waited a few days to buy the book, but as soon as I did I dug right in. the reason I waited is because I knew this was going to be another amazing book and I am inpatient when it comes to series!! I loved loved loved it!!! Once again Jeanne hits it straight out of the park. I loved the friendship between the guys in this book. I has to be so hard to put your own feelings aside to help the other man win back the love of your life.. I mean Jared is just amazing and anyone would want a friend like him. I think I loathe Olivia more in this book then the last and she us not even in it a lot lol!! but Jeanne got the psycho baby mommy character down to the T!! Drew the guy is just a mess, but Mickie she is so perfect for him. They both hurt each other so much but to be able to get past it and love harder. That's amazing in itself. Sometimes we need a reminder of the good and the bad to come out stronger in the end!! Glenda OMG!!! I absolutely love her!! She made me choke on my water LOL. I have to wonder if she is actually based on anyone. Poor Gavin being fondled my a cougar!! All that being said I absolutely love this book and cannot wait for the conclusion. Great job to the author on another wonderful read =)

I am giving an honest review of the book by author Jeanne McDonald. This is book 2 of the series The Truth in Lies by the author. Book 1 is The Truth in Lies and this book starts where book 1 ends.

Drew Wise is in love with McKenzie but his ex girlfriend Olivia has made it clear she is willing to do almost anything to keep him because he is a lawyer and rich. McKenzie Evans is heart broken her best friend Olivia tricked Drew saying she was pregnant with his child and now her whole world is falling apart.

This book has a lot more drama and emotional situations in it and it just makes for another great story by the author. The flow of the story and the characters is amazing and Jeanne McDonald takes that into consideration when she writes the book.

This is another awesome book to the series by the author and it is best to read book 1 first since it leads into this book. This is a must read series by the author!

I really enjoyed the first book of this series which was quite short, but this one felt even shorter. The book was a nice read, but sadly it felt more like a filler novel. I have to underline this now, before we go any further, that I did enjoy it and it made me curious about the next book, but I would have liked to see more from this second book.

I am really glad that the author gave us more background info int his book. A lot of things started to make sense and we realize that some, of not most, of the things that happened in the first novel are not exactly how they seemed.

The book is well written all things considered, not complains there. From a linguistic point of view it is sufficiently elegant for this type of book which is more than can be said about so many other novels out there.

All in all, I am glad I was given the chance to read this series and I cannot wait to see what happens next.

Great writing, Jeanne McDonald!! I love this story and I love the way it is told from his perspective instead of hers. The way the author writes this story as the second book in the series is exceptional. Once again, Drew and Mickie (their nicknames, actually) fight for a love that began at first sight and Jeanne McDonald left me hurrying to get to the next page to find out what would happen next! Lovers, friends, spite, revenge ... this story has it all and I can't express enough how much I loved reading this story from Drew's side. Will Drew and Mickie finally discover a way to be together? What about Jared? Ahhh ... it wouldn't be fair of me to tell you, so I urge you to read this fantastic novel to find out for yourselves.

Highly recommend!! Great job, Jeanne McDonald!!

This is the second book in the series; I just loved the first one and couldn’t wait for the second one. As soon as I read it well it totally blew my mind. Jeanne is an amazing writer, but this book just made me realize how good of a plot planer and character builder she is.

We all fell in love with Drew in the fist one, so reading his POV was amazing. He and McKenzie’s story is a one you certainly want to read. It’s beautiful; it will keep you reading until the end and just breathtaking. I love how Olivia tries to get between them and how I even got desperate to get them back together.

This book picks up right after the first, so make sure you start there.

**Be sure that you read The Truth in Lies FIRST or you will be lost with this book.**

Andrew, McKenzie, Olivia, Gavin and Jared are back! This book picks up right were The Truth in Lies leaves off. We learn more about Andrew's past and Olivia's manipulation. McKenzie is caught in the middle but is so trusting that she believes everyone. I was pulled into this book immediately and I couldn't put it down. The relationship between Drew and Kenzie is real and raw at times. I sincerely hope that there is a book 3 because I have to know more about these characters! 4 out of 5!

Drew POV for the win Ms. McDonald!
I pretty much adored hearing things from his side of the coin. It didn't make what was happening between these two characters any easier to watch but honestly, if I didn't love Drew already, I definitely love him now. Olivia - not a fan and she is not a very nice person. Much less friend. Blech. Mickie has a lot of hurdles to jump to get through this - but I'm sure - with the help of my boy, Drew, it's gonna happen. I cannot wait for book three and am so excited it comes out VERY SOON! Great writing. Twists and turns. Emotionally charge. Loved it.

What a fantastic sequel. I could not put it down and I’m obsessed with Drew and MacKenzie’s relationship. They are supposed to be together but so much keeps getting in the way and I feel so sorry for both of them. I hate Olivia now. I did feel sorry for her at first. She seemed to love Drew but now she is being too clingy and won’t accept that the relationship is over. She may be pregnant by him…..maybe but I want him to be happy with MacKenzie! Absolutely love this series and I can’t wait for the third book!

I was so excited to read this book. The friendship between Drew/Ethan/Gavin was amazing, and had me laughing so much!! Granny Evans, is seriously like Betty White but in book form. And I am seriously convinced that the evil Olivia is not pregnant by Drew..I have my theories as to who the baby daddy is, which I shall keep to myself since Jeanne is so hush hush about it. Definitely 5/5 on this one, and I cannot wait for the next story!!

Outstanding story written by the wonderfully talented Jeanne McDonald. She has a gift and I'm so happy she shares it with us. Drew has stolen my heart without a doubt. The love story between McKenzie and Andrew is so beautiful I ached! This series is weaving itself amazingly and continues to blow my mind. I highly recommend you read both books and let yourself get swept away in this dramatic and beautiful love story.

There were two words that came to mind when I finished this book...ho-ly crap! I thought the first book was amazing, this one was just as amazing and then some. Drew melted my heart. I laughed with him and I cried with him. I always have a soft spot for men when they put their hearts on their sleeve though. Now...I'm just gonna have to sit patiently while I wait for the next book to be released. This is certainly a must read for sure!

I enjoyed it. Once again we are left with a hangover though.....I didn't mind it with the first book but now I'm just over it! Drew still held true to himself and I loved how we got to see a little more in his head so it was worth the read. I loved the bromance that Gavin, Jared, and Drew seem to be starting up though. Great book, but I think I'll just let it go here.....what am I saying when the next one comes out I'll be sure to get it HA!!
