Touch of Tantra #1

Adam's Apple

Rate this book
Uniquely told in Adam's point of view. Warning: Contains adult situations intended for readers eighteen and over.

"I take cocky, rich boys like you and teach them how to make love to women until they're barely able to mutter a word. Completely and utterly blissed. That's really what separates the men from the boys, Mr. Kingsley. Sex as an art form versus f**king for a release." -Kathryn.

Adam Kingsley reigns as the young prince of Manhattan. Everything he touches turns to gold, making him the envy of Wall Street. Women swoon at his feet, money is no object, and his killer good looks are as wicked as sin. A dangerous trifecta that allows him to possess anything or anyone he desires.

What more could a thirty-two-year-old man wish for? Maybe that his life never changes and his murky past stays far away... Sounds reasonable, yet life seldom is.

Kathryn Delcour is an alluring socialite with unique erotic tastes who helps others find true sexual fulfillment. When she suddenly appears on the New York City social scene, Adam finds this complex woman too tempting to resist. He will stop at nothing to have her, yet she is warned to stay away from him and his player ways. Kathryn tries to keep him at arm's length, but her arms may not be strong enough to hold the charismatic Adam Kingsley at bay.

The passionate lure of ancient sexual practices, a past that isn't content to remain buried and a present filled with intrigue, danger and revenge. An erotic story sweetened with secrets, seduction, and suspense.

3 tempting tantra stars!!!

description

Adam’s Apple is the story of Adam Kingston. One of New York’s youngest, most rich and successful bachelors. Adam is the type of guy who can’t be tamed. He’s with a different girl every night, and thats the way he likes it. That is, until he meets the unattainable Kathryn Delcour.

Kathryn is different than any other woman Adam has ever met. She seems to be resistant to his charms. In fact, she seems to know his game and wants to help him.
"I take cocky, rich boys like you and teach them how to make love to women until they're barely able to mutter a word. Completely and utterly blissed. That's really what separates the men from the boys, Mr. Kingsley. Sex as an art form versus fucking for a release."

Kathryn and Adam have this inexplainable instant connection. They both feel it. Adam doesn’t know what to think, and Kathryn is hesitant to act on it. When some suspense and danger come to play in Adam’s life, it brings the two of them closer together...

I listened to this on audio and I loved the fact that it was an all male pov. Which meant a male narrator with a sexy voice. That makes my enjoyment of the story a little higher. I liked the Tantra aspect, the sexual tension etc. I enjoyed this story, so why 3 stars? I didn’t love that the whole story took place in a matter of 48 hours which seemed a little insta-love to me. I liked Adam, but I never felt much of a connection to Kathryn. There wasn’t a cliffhanger, but there is definitely room for more story. Things felt unresolved to me.

I liked the suspense and steam. I’m curious to see whats going to happen next so I will most likely give the next book a go!

4 STARS

I really liked this book and I loved Adam and the kick ass Kathryn!

Love the cover!

When I started this I thought this is going to be one of this boring billionaire books, I've read so many of them (and yes I do go back to them sometimes haha.)

But I enjoyed reading this book. Kathryn was a strong heroine, I liked her, she wasn't irritating me.

Adam was your 'normal' billionaire, rich, asshole and sleeping around. (What's new, until he meets Kathryn, and she quickly puts him on this place).

The sexual tension in this book was KILLING me! They only 'did' it at 75% but it was so worth the wait!

And I learned something new - Tantra, didn't even know it exists haha! (don't laugh) :P

This book doesn't have a cliffhanger but there is room for more story and I'm looking forward to the second book in the series, and learn some more Tantra hiehie!

Over and out. xx

Temptation is just too fucking tempting for me.

Every thing Adam touches turns to gold and every woman offer themselves up for a chance to bed the illusive billionaire-bad boy, Adam Kingsley. Reeling from the news of his business partner's backstabbing attempt, Adam finally meets a woman that doesn’t hold back and calls him out on all his shit, and for the first time he actually cares. What is it about this black haired beauty that makes her so different ?!? Their views on sex alone is completely at odds

Adam
“Fucking is raw, animalistic, and sweat inducing. There is no beauty. Just selfish needs seeking to be met.”

Kathryn
“I take cocky, rich boys like you and teach them how to make love to women until they’re barely able to mutter a word. Completely and utterly blissed. That’s really what separates the men from the boys, Mr. Kingsley. Sex as an art form versus fucking for a release.

Yet, this verbal sparring is more of a turn on for him, than any of the woman who dropped to her knees with just a glance. Determined to learn more about this raven haired beauty, he digs, pries and isn't willing to take a rejection. Kathryn knows this is completely out of character for him which intrigues her to see how far he is really willing to go to get her. But when his partner threatens his safety they have no choice but to stick together until they catch him, opening them up to all sorts of possibilities, after all Kathryn teaches the art of tantric sex.
“The human body contains everything needed for tantric sex. Hands for touching.” Her eyes travel to my hands placed on my legs, mirroring hers. “Arms for embracing, lips for kissing, tongues for tasting, and eyes for seeing into each other’s souls.”

Adam has never pursued a woman and he is finding himself doing things he's never imagined and for once the idea of “more” doesn’t scare him. He couldn’t deny the pull Kathryn has on him any more than denying his own breath. But when his pasts threatens his future with Kathryn, he has no choice but to lay it all on the table and hope things don’t end before it has a chance to begin.

Adam’s Apple is a story that is told from Adam’s POV, it was fun, entertaining and very sensual. Adam was a man who got what he wanted and made no excuses for his behavior. Completely honest to fault, until his actions come back to bite him in the ass. I loved Kathryn, she was strong, sexy and had no problem putting a man in his place. These two were made for each other, perfectly balancing each other out; where Kathryn teaches him how to feel again, Adam teaches Kathryn to let go.

The suspense was a nice touch, but the mystery behind it was kind of predictable. This is different than the other billionaire books I’ve read, because Adam isn’t afraid of what Kathryn is doing to him and accepts the inevitable. This is not a stand-alone read, leaving you guessing what happens next. I’ll definitely be adding the next one to my list to read.

4.5 touchy, feely stars..

Wow..what a great story. Had all the elements to ensure a riveting read, topped with the H's humorous POV and a foray into the touch of Tantra!

Adam Kingsley is a very rich man. He is aspiring, alluring, and extremely arrogant. He has an escalade that experiences more backseat action than any hotel room, and he is very pleased with his reputation that precedes him, thank you very much.

Until he spots a dark haired beauty at ANOTHER fundraiser that draws his attention. He's captivated by Kathryn Delcour and wonders where she has sprung from, given he has ploughed his way through most of the available women on the Manhattan scene.

Kathryn is not impressed by his wealth, good looks or unrelenting charm, but his persistence pays off when she suggests he might want to try the healing touch of Tantra.

This part ends with an amount of suspense, enough to certain our leap into the next book. But there is no cliffy, I'm pleased to say. I just could not put this book down, and very much look forward to the next installment.

This review is posted on Way Too Hot Books.

Again, I find myself seduced by the beautiful cover of the book that had potential, but didn't live up to my expectations. These gorgeous covers make me forget that I overgrew these type of stories long time ago. After the first couple of pages of reading I already knew that me and the main character of the story Adam Kingsley won't get along...at all. The main reason for that was that the guy in question is a big rich & famous man slut with every skirt in the town knowing the backside of his limousine.

His "little" adventures and attitude annoyed and bored me throughout the whole book. I believe that people can change, but I didn't see any redeemable quality about him. I despise players and guys alike who think that they are God-given and that any woman should be lucky that they even talked to them and he was one of them.

"I take cocky, rich boys like you and teach them how to make love to women until they're barely able to mutter a word. Completely and utterly blissed. That's really what separates the men from the boys, Mr. Kingsley. Sex as an art form versus f**king for a release." - Kathryn.

In comparison to him, the main female character Kathry was definitely more interesting and bearable. I liked her a lot at first, especially after she set straight our poor rich boy after they first met. She seemed like a strong & confident woman with a strong attitude, but even that image shattered soon enough and I was truly disappointed, but I still think that the author should have written the story from her POV and not Adam's. And the meaning behind tantric sex? Meeh, I'm sorry, but it bore me til' death. I read a lot of erotic romances with way better sex scenes. This ones were just too plain in a sense: is it over yet?

The writing style was o.k., but the plot of the story wasn't anything spectacular or never seen before. The bottom line is that I expected a lot more from the story, some deeper meaning, but unfortunately, I didn't get it. I believe there will be a lot of readers out there who will enjoy this type of story, but it just wasn't for me.

Adam Kingsley has it all. Money, power, and beautiful women are all at his full disposal. He wants for nothing, until the night be meets the illustrious Kathryn Delcour. Kathryn proves to be an enigma as she rebuffs his advances. He's never had that happen, so he's drawn to her even more. He spends the next day tracking her down as he tries to woo her. Little does he know that Kathryn's keep to his game and his reputation. Will he be able to show her that he can and wants to be different for her, or will his playboy reputation keep her out of arms reach?
****
I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this book. There's a shortage of good books that are fully male POV, so it was refreshing to see the whole story from Adam's eyes. The Tantra aspect of Adam's Apple was so unique and I loved learning about it right long with Adam. The descriptions are beautifully written, and you feel as if you're in the Tantra room experiencing it with them. It added such a neat, fun, element to this modern romantic suspenseful novel. It definitely helped bring the two together in the most intimate way.

The connection between Adam and Kathryn is palpable, and their chemistry is one for the ages. Where Adam is sinful and sexy, Kathryn is sensual and sophisticated. Together, they make the most fiery match and I loved every single moment they spent together. The whole book takes places over the span of about 48 hours, so you'd think that it'd be way too soon for them to feel so deeply for each other. I think that due to the suspenseful circumstances, as well as the extremely intimate art of Tantra, it was easy for me to believe that they could truly feel this way. And if you know me, you're probably shocked. I normally need a good build up, and for the most part, that can't happen over night. Somehow, someway, Liz Morris wrote a tale that had me forgetting that they'd only just met. I loved every moment of their relationship and I cannot wait to get my hands on book 2.

I was looking forward to this book. All the rave reviews and the promise of something different. I'm totally in.

It had a strong start but then sadly fizzled out. Became a loop of the same feelings and actions. I lost interest and connection to the characters. Throughout the whole middle, right up until the last few pages, I was a bit bored and started to not care about the characters relationship and individual struggles.

The tantra aspect, one of the things that makes this a little different, was nearly non-existent.

I don't think this was a horrible disaster. I just think it could have been more than it was. I really wanted it to be just that. More. Dig deeper.

Perhaps it's just me. Seems to be, given all the rave reviews. I am nothing but happy for the author to be finding such success with their book. I'm aware that it is not as easy to write a book as one might think. So I wish them much luck and commend the author on putting themselves out there.

On a side note. Maybe I'm the only one that sees this but... The combination of the cover design and book name makes me think this story might be about a drag queen. But alas, no drag queens are to be found in it. /robbed

Ok, well, WOW. I totally didn't see this coming. I haven't read many books, written by a woman, in a male POV, throughout the entire book. There were no switches of POV, the woman never got her say and I LOVED IT! Too often we're hearing a story almost entirely through the heroines point of view, with shifts to the hero's POV. This all male POV book is in my top 10 for sure!

The cover is a little deciving for me however, which might be one of the only things that I didn't like about this book. It appears to be a little on the paranormal side, and there's nothing wrong with paranormal, but this book has ZERO paranormal. This is one hundred percent romance with a little mystery, but not much at all.

Adam is a man whore billionaire haunted by a tragic past, the death of his mother, the only woman he ever loved or cared for, until he meets Kathryn. Kathryn has New York City royalty flowing through her veins but is so much more unconventional than one would think. She also has struggled with the loss of a loved one, making her and Adam almost perfect matches.

With death threats a flyin, fate has pushed Adam and Kathryn closer together. Will this be a match made in heaven or hell??

Back to my thoughts, you guys already have a synopsis.

Adam - man whore, yes ... sexy as sin, yup .. I love your face man whore!!!
Kathryn - Tantra?? What's that ... something I'm going to jump on as soon as I have time to google it more!!! Sweet Jesus, that is HOTTT
Simon - Oh hell, can we say MOLE (I know he's a man, but still, I like mole ... he's an expert is crazy douchebagery)

The sex is HOTT, Tantra (HOLY HELL) .. there is no typical Heroine here ladies and gents .. she knows who the hell she is and what she working with. Kathryn is in my top 5 "HILF" .. yeah .. since she's the "heroine" I'm pretty sure you can figure that one out!!!

"Excuse me, I have a cock to ride" .. ahhhh, swoon, a woman after my own heart.

But needless to say, this is a good one!! No cliff but the series continues. I cannot wait to see how their relationship, if you can call it that, continues.

Final thought, last 2 paragraphs of the book, IT'S ABOUT DUCKING TIME!! I was going INSANE!!!

Stay tuned for Adam's Fall this winter!!!

What made the experience of listening to Adam's Apple the most enjoyable?
The narrator. Christian Fox did an excellent job emoting and gave each character a distinct voice and personality.

Who was your favorite character and why?
Adam because I liked being in his head and his overall 32-year old frankness.

What about Christian Fox’s performance did you like?
He was great voicing both men and women, and he very effectively kept me looking forward to my next listening opportunity.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yes, I definitely had a good chuckle here and there, mostly centered around Adam’s horny thoughts. ;)

Any additional comments?
I've been collecting this author's novels in e-book and/or paperback formats since I met her at the Authors Under the Lights book signing back in March 2015. Originally, I wasn't sure if this contemporary romance series would be my cup of tea. I had a book buddy who really loved it, so I decided to make it my first one of Liv's novels once I had collected the audiobook format as well. I started Adam's Fall (Touch of Tantra #2) via audiobook as soon as I finished Adam's Apple. Even though the ending didn't end on a true cliffhanger, I was eager to see how Adam and Kathryn moved on from Simon's actions.

Adam's Apple was a completely hypnotizing read. I especially loved that it was told from Adam's POV. I think if this book was told from Kathryn's viewpoint we would have lost out on so much. Adam's life up until he meets Kathryn is lacking, even though he doesn't realize it and watching their budding relationship and the changes in him, through his eyes, was compelling. I also loved the mystery, which kept me turning the pages to see how everything played out. I am really looking forward to the second book.

Sign me up for some Tantra.......talk about hot.........WOW

Proceed with caution, this is one sizzling read! I tend to enjoy a lot of erotica, and this book falls into a category of its own. It wasn’t as slutty or kinky as my usual reads, and was far less graphic when it comes to the actual acts of passion. Which is why I was so surprised to get equally as hot reading this! The emphasis was more on the acts of physical touch and anticipation, rather than the sexual encounter. The tension and suspense in this read was incredible. The writing style was out of this world. It's not often I come across a book in the erotic genre that seems to have been done with class (who knew that was even possible.....more surprisingly that me, a total horn ball, would love it), and even contains a really good storyline. I was beyond impressed!!!!!!!

How much did I pay: .99
Was it worth it: absolutely
Will I recommend: yes
Will I read more in series: yes

3.5 Stars.

Adam Kingsley is uber rich wallstreet billionaire. He's extremely arrogant and extremely sexy. He's the bad boy player who has a reputation that precedes him. At a fundraiser, Kathryn Delcour catches his eye and is captivated by her beauty and wits. She isn't too impressed with him and quickly dismisses him. Days after the event he can't get her out of his head and plans a "casual" run-in with her. Adam is forced to stay overnight at Kathryn's place after his life is threatened by is ex business partner. He learns she is a Tantra teacher (pretty hott). After teaching Adam some basic stuff their relationship takes off.

The likes:
- The book is in Adam's POV. I love that! Great writing style.

- It's a nice switch to finally see the women take charge in kinky stuff. Usually we have the billionaire man whore who is looking for an innocent virgin to corrupt... not in this book!

-Kathryn is a great female character. Sophisticated and very sensual.

-The witty back and forth banter of verbal for-play is awesome.

-Not only is the book about these two hooking up, we have some awesome suspense trying to find out why Simon, Adam's ex-partner, wants to off him.

-Adam gets 10 gold stars and upgrade to book boyfriend of the day ;) He's amazing with Katherine- (swoon!) He has some deep down shit and his break through is heart warming and real.

The dislikes:

-The relationship between Adam and Kathryn seems to develop over night... no wait, it DOES! I needed a little more time, more angst to really get the point that both, Adam and Kathryn want to change for each other. For a man whore who only bangs women in back seat of his limo, he sure change his tune quickly. Kathryn never second guesses or doubts Adam... I feel like she's way too smart for a move like that.

-We need more Tantra info Kathryn! The series is named after it, it gets mentioned all through out the book, but we only see very small amount of it. Let's hope the next book explodes with it.

- And lastly... it ends in a cliffy. Need to wait until Dec. for the next one.

Overall, pretty good book. Interesting plot and great couple chemistry. Enjoy!

Hot book cover? Check! All-male POV? Check! Steaminess? Check!!
As you can see above, this book had all of my favorite things and more. To be honest, I felt like a kid in a candy shop while reading this book.

“Where you lead, I’ll follow.”

Adam Kingsley is the ultimate book-boyfriend, he’s uber rich, hot, arrogant, and a bit of a bad boy. He is the love 'em and leave 'em type and makes no apologies for it. I have to admit, I loved Adam’s sense of humor. Some of the stuff he said throughout the book actually made me laugh out loud. Unfortunately, he is also very closed off and doesn’t let anyone see the real him. His motto changes once he spies the mysterious Kathryn Delcour at a fundraiser.

“I’m a specialist at taking boys like yourself and turning them into real men. I’ve never failed. Not once. At least that’s what their wives and girlfriends say.”

Kathryn is not the typical woman he usually meets and makes him work for her attention. Kathryn does not fawn all over him and calls him out on the bullshit he spews to get women into the backseat of his Escalade. Kathryn is a trained teacher in the art of Tantra, which is something that Adam does not know a lick about and mocks at first. Through touch, she tries to break down the walls that Adam has built to protect himself.

“You’re the exception to everything, Kathryn”

I think that Kathryn and Adam are a great match. Their banter alone had enough sexual chemistry and was entertaining to watch unfold. There is also an element of suspense throughout this book that surrounds Adam. I have to admit, “Adam’s Apple” had me hooked and I did not want to put it down. I need to warn you that this book is part of a series. On a side note, there is no cliffhanger.

I give it 4 stars!

Love finding a new author thanks to my bloggers..

This was a new experience for me. I had no idea what the art of tantra was so of course I googled it.. IT peaked my interest because what woman doesn't love the touch of her man... so I had to learn more of course. You know research for when my husband comes back from his deployment...

This book was very well written. I loved that it was told by Adams POV. We meet a man that gets any women he wants by a simple look. You know the kind of guy that every woman in the room wants and every man wants to be. Yeah, him.... He melts panties with one look...

Adam is very rich and gets what he wants when he wants. He uses women for only getting off nothing more. He never let's a woman get close to him, only one time fling never bring them home. His limo suv is his go to spot..He is closed off and has never opened up to anyone.

Then he meets Kathryn. He is smitten by her. But she is not impressed by him at all and challenged his manhood.. She puts his manhole ways down and walks away from him. He gets his security guy to do some digging to learn more about her. Unsure why he is doing it he can't get her out of him mind.. he has to know her and when he finds out she is a expert on the touch of tantra he knows nothing about he wants to know her more.

I'm not going to go spoil the rest of the story but you must read it to find out. This is very sensual and euphoric story. You may say erotic also but her healing touch opens him up to be so much more than that.

I loved that Kathryn was very wealthy herself. She is a strong woman and not your typical woman that's broken and needs to be fix.

Great book, love it. I hate that I have to wait till December for the next book.

Four stars of pure happiness.

To begin with, this story is incredibly unique. It puts a spin on all the other millionaire stories. I won't forget this story anytime soon.

This story is written in Adams point of view. I normally really dislike books that are written from the guys point of view, but I wouldn't have it any other way for this book. The author was really into Adam's character. She knew him from head to toe. She was really into portraying Adam the way she wanted him to and it worked out well.

I'd have to say that one d the best things about this book is the passion and chemistry. This book was made of pure passion. There was nothing lacking in the psychological aspect or the physical aspect. I could literally feel the love. Whereas, other books lack warmth and passion I felt it here.

The reason I gave it a four and not a five was because of the ending and one other thing. The book was a little hard for me to get into at first, but once I got to the main plot I was hooked. The ending on the other hand was great, but I felt something was missing. I'm not sure what it was. It was just abrupt and didn't give me sense of closure a book gives me.

Overall, very good book. Interesting plot. Excellent passion and chemistry. And you still get the whole hot billionaire and price charming thing. But Prince Charming doesn't come out until the end.

Seems like a cute "fairy-tale" read.

Adam Kingsley reigns as the young prince of Manhattan. Everything he touches turns to gold making him the envy of Wall Street. Women swoon at his feet, money falls out of his pockets, and his killer good looks are as wicked as sin. A dangerous trifecta.

What more could a thirty-two year old man wish for? Maybe that his life never changes and his past stays far away? Sounds reasonable but life seldom is.

Kathryn Delcour is a beautiful and alluring socialite with unique erotic tastes. When she suddenly appears on the New York City social scene, Adam finds her too tempting to resist. He has to have her, but she is warned to stay away from him and his player ways. She tries her hardest to keep him at arm's length however Kathryn's arms may not be strong enough to hold Adam at bay.

Hidden secrets, Kathryn's passion for an ancient sexual practice, and a former business partner wanting to inflict a deadly revenge set the scene for a wild ride as Adam tells the story in his own words.

I loved reading Adam’s Apple! I’ve never read a book like this before, the main character Adam Kingsley is a wealthy man who has everything he’s every wanted money, women, and sex. He’s the type of guy who doesn’t do relationships. When Adam meets Kathryn Delcour he’s captive by her beauty. He learns soon enough that he’s in for a match with Kathryn. She’s a feisty, independent, doctor who speaks her mind especially when it comes to Adam. Their relationship grows when Adam faces some issues in his personal life with the help of Kathryn. I hope I haven’t said too much! I can’t wait to read Adam’s Fall #2 (Touch of Tantra).

One of my favorite quote’s

“I take cocky, rich boys like you and teach them how to make love to women until they’re barely able to mutter a word. Completely and utterly blessed. That’s really what separates the men from the boys, Mr. Kingsley. Sex as an art form versus fucking for a release.” - Kathryn

I think I might own this book already either because it was a freebie or it was a galley on NetGalley, but I'm not sure. So I'm placing it here temporarily until I figure out if I actually have it in my book collection, and I'd probably read it just to see how it deals with its respective presentations. If not, then I'll mark it as not my cuppa because I don't care to read books in a series that places rape situations for titillation.

Edit: All right, it was a galley from NetGalley at one point, but I didn't grab this one at the time it was offered, probably because of the description. So it's a no.

*****5- Scorching Hott- Stars*****
~this review contains minor spoilers~

“The goal in Tantra is to unit different areas into one as we, I mean, couples make love. The aim is to open our minds and spiritual side while having sex combining the two. The key word is open. Freeing oneself.”

Well.... damn that was hott. Seriously sexy as hell, but not that in your face kind of sexy- more sensuous and truly erotic. I loved that it was told from the man's POV, the way his thoughts and feeling morphed throughout the course of the book was fascinating. It was really quite an experience, sure to land Liv Morris on my favorites list for a long long time.

Karma. I have to laugh. I, of all people, know too well about karma and it's legend. However, I've chosen to operate under the old proverb of an eye for an eye. Karma requires no action and the hope of a chance. I rely on one thing in this world: my actions. I will leave nothing to chance and prefer playing the game of life with the strongest hand possible.

Adam Kingsley has worked hard to get where he is today- a self made billionaire with New York at his feet. Nobody knows about the demons of his past resulting from his mothers death or his well known father who has never acknowledged his existence. All they see is money and power with a trail of discarded women and panties in his wake.

I've burned through women like a wildfire roaring across a dry forest. Nothing has stood in my way. My passions have been all-consuming as I've indulged myself in all kinds of debauchery. I might think about settling down in a few years, maybe. But, for now, I'm content to sample the choice delights surrounding me. What single man in my shoes wouldn't say the same? Temptation is just too fucking tempting for me.

And that's all he wants them to see. He hasn't gotten close to anyone since his mother and woman are nothing more than a release to him. But Adam's carefully controlled life is starting to unravel. First a betrayal by a longtime friend/business partner, and then he meets the woman who is about to turn his world upside down-he just doesn't know it yet.

The way she looks at me is intriguing, a confidence only acquired with time and experience. Everything about her fascinates me, and her sudden appearance on the social scene bewilders me. But most importantly right now, her body ha totally aroused mine. This combination almost never happens...

Kathryn Delcour is a beautiful, sexy as sin mystery to Adam. New to the social scene, and pre-warned of his playboy ways, shes quick to put him in his place which does but intrigue him further. A little digging provides him with some surprising information on her-she an instructor in the art of Tantra which explains some of her comments to him at their initial meeting.

“I wonder, Mr. Kingsley. Do the women you frolic with have a release? Do you make them come so hard they forget their name? Or did you leave them with nothing? Not even a parting gift or their dignity as you shuffle them out of your limo onto the sidewalk. The truth is all the money you possess can't make you a man.”

He has to learn more about her, just being around her is not only highly arousing, but it's stirring up feelings in him he hasn't felt in a very long time. Kathryn tries her best to keep him at a distance, she will not become one of his backseat conquests. But his alluring charms paired with his persistence is hard to resist and he is determined to explore this pull he feels to her.

I long to share my true thoughts, telling her that until I met her last night I've never felt anything more than a physical attraction towards another woman. This pull I feel towards her is something very different. I have no words to define it.

Just when he thinks his life can't spiral any further out of control, threats to his business turn to threats on his life and leaves him feeling more vulnerable than ever. The only thing keeping him grounded is Kathryn, now he just needs to convince her of that.

From the very beginning this book firmly gripped my attention. The chemistry between Adam & Kathryn was off the charts and made for some very steamy scenes. I loved that she had no problem calling him on his crap and cut right through to the heart of him. The ending was not cliffhanger per say but it was kind of abrupt, left me with lots of questions and salivating for more. The entire book was just beautifully written and I loved every minute if it, I can't believe it was the authors debut-I look forward to reading much much more from her.

While holding her I realize I've never wanted a woman to be mine before. Only mine. But I've never met a woman like Kathryn before, either. My feelings for her are foreign and unrecognizable. Somewhere in the back of my mind, I wonder if I might me falling in love with her.

Adam’s Apple is book one in the Touch of Tantra series and is an Erotic Contemporary Romance/Suspense written by Liv Morris. I received this eARC from the author in exchange for an honest review through Tasty Book Tours .

3.5 Sizzling Stars!
Touch of Suspense, Touch of Tantra and a Touch of Fun!

The Review:
I enjoyed this book. It opens with a very somber yet intriguing Prologue that immediately grabs you. However, the first few chapters are a bit slow, which took me a while to get through because I just couldn’t get into it. Then around the mid way point, it takes off and completely stuns me with its sexy, provocative words and its tantalizing and suspenseful plot. Overall, it was a pretty good read.

Character/Story...
Adam Kingsley is a self made man. Graduating from MIT, he along with three other friends form their own company, with Adam as the money man. He’s successful, intelligent and handsome but he’s also self-serving, completely arrogant and a total man whore... and doesn’t feel the need or desire to apologize for any of it. He loves the finer things in life and thinks he deserves them. But he’s also very closed off. His past has hardened him and his walls are very thick.

Then one night at a fundraiser, while out on the prowl, he meets the one woman who can bring him to his knees, literally.

Kathryn Delcour is a sensual, beautiful and intelligent woman who knows what she wants in life. She’s kind but takes no prisoners in her flat out honesty policy. She’s a strong, resilient woman who isn’t a wilting flower. I loved this about her and best of all, she can see past all those walls Adam has built and she wants very much to break through them. She’s also a teacher in the fine arts of Tantric and knows how to handle a man like Adam through sensual touch.

Adam is desperate to know Kathryn but he’s also leery of her methods. However, he can’t stay away and when they come together, they have amazing chemistry! Then there’s the bit of mystery and suspense lurking behind the scenes as a killer is on the loose which only enhances this read more.

Thoughts...
I didn’t like Adam at first. He was so full of himself and the thoughts he had and his way of thinking really put me off, but once you get to know him and understand him, you realize its all a front. He’s suffering from loss and disparity and he needs Kathryn to level him out. One a brighter note, I loved this book was written entirely from Adam’s POV. I love a male POV, especially if its written well and this was!

The Wrap Up:
The beginning of this book was a bit slow but towards the middle to the end, things were moving right along. It was a bit predictable, because I could see the “why’s” of Simons revenge plot from the moment we learn he was after Adam but the predictability didn’t take away from the enjoyment. Just to warn you, there is a cliffy, which I hate but I liked this one well enough that I will definitely be picking up book two when it comes out!

***THIS BOOK WAS GIVEN TO ME IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW***

Adam's Apple is the first book in the Tantra series. It follows Adam Kingsley, a billionaire playboy who can have a different woman every night of the week, but never forms more of a connection with one than their lips on his cock. But at a charity event, he meets a stunningly beautiful woman named Kathryn. She captures his interest in a way no other woman ever has before.

Kathryn is a teacher of Tantric touch. Tantra is about increasing and enhancing the sensual and sexual experiences through touch. Adam isn't a man who is used to touch. Other than casual, meaningless sex and impersonal handshakes, he hasn't touched another human being since his mother died.

On the surface, Adam is one-sided, shallow, and doesn't care much for anyone other than himself, a fact that is clearly demonstrated in the opening few chapters when we learn that one of Adam's business partners went crazy and threatened his life after being fired. It's clear that Adam knows little about Simon's personal life and prefers it that way.

Kathryn, however, starts to crack the hard shell that Adam's erected around himself for all of these years. He finds himself smitten, lovesick, even desperate for anything she'll give him. For a man with his power, these feelings are nothing he's ever experienced.

Adam's Apple is a deliciously sensual book, but there's no actual sex until more than 2/3 of the way through. In some ways, that makes the book even sexier than if it were chock full of steamy sex. The dance between Adam and Kathryn is slow and steady with the hint of danger from Simon ever looming.

I loved these characters in many ways. To see such a self-assured man be brought to his knees by a woman he hasn't even kissed was beautiful and touching. Kathryn was strong ad self-assured, with enough vulnerability to make her real. The strength that she showed in response to Adam's pursuit was admirable.

I would have liked a bit more honest discussion between Adam and others. The relationship between the two of them occurs largely in a vacuum. This is to be expected due to the other events that take place in the book, but though most love stories are only about the two individuals, no one exists without others in their lives. Adam does, and that is perhaps the only note that doesn't quite ring true. If he truly does live his life like this, there could have been more acknowledgement of it by him. We see small glimpses of it, small admissions, but how do you get to be in your mid-thirties with no friends?

Overall, an enjoyable and sensual read. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series, Adam's Fall.

Eight hundred million stars! Loved this book! More coherent review to come.

ETA:

Whoa, where to start?

Adam Kingsley is a complete and utter jerk, self-absorbed and apathetic to the world going on around him--unless there's something in it for him. And I loved him from page one. The thing is... he knows what a jerk he is, but it doesn't stop him. That is, until Kathryn Delcour walks into the room and takes over his every thought, and slowly his perception of himself--his needs, his success, his life--all begin to change. And yes, it happens slowly, so slowly that you can almost see each individual realization as it occurs to him. He doesn't lose his bad-boy charm or his edge, but, well... read it.

Kathryn is by far one of the strongest, most well-written characters I have read in a long time. While woman were ready to drop everything for Adam, Kathryn consistently put him in his place, forcing him to face his shortcomings. She's an enigma to him, appearing unmoved by his charm and looks, yet, there's something there.

The growth of their relationship is honest and realistic--no insta-love here. Yes, lots of lust and desire, but you can almost feel their affection grow with the turn of each page. I am amazed by the author's ability to tell the story from the male point of view. Not just any male or--God forbid--a watered-down, totally feminine, written-by-a-woman male, but an honest-to-goodness conceited and shallow jerk who finds himself at a loss over a woman who doesn't bend to his will.

I loved the writing, the dialogue, the secondary characters... especially Maurice. I loved that Kathryn continued to call him Kingsley, not giving him that last piece, the one piece he kept waiting for. As time went by and he continued to want and wait for it, his growth as a man, as a person was evident.

I really cannot say enough about this book. The romance was honest and fulfilling, the sex was hot, but not overdone. At the end, I believe I exclaimed, "You ended it there?!" :) However, due to the utterance just one word, I was satisfied that all was well for Adam and Kathryn. Of course I'm looking forward to the next installment. Is it December yet?

Adam is a sexy billionaire entrepreneur who avoids emotional attachments of any kind. He is happy with emotionally distant lifestyle. He's not bothered with his playboy of use them and leave them reputation. This is until he meets Kathryn Delcour.

He is instantly attracted to her and can't deny that there is something about this woman that makes him forget to be the playboy and face his inner demons. While he is trying to prove himself to Kathryn and himself he is faced with a dangerous situation where his life is at risk. Further pushing himself to analyze how his lifestyle has effected those around him. While Adam is recognizing the need for change in his life, Kathryn is overcoming her own personal losses. And it is a new beginning for her as well.

I enjoyed the dynamic between Adam and Kathryn. It was smart and sexy and there was no denying the passion between the two of them. I enjoyed watching how Adam proved himself. The tantra lessons, trust, and developing relationship made a great story along with the suspense of danger lurking around the corner.

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC copy for an honest review.

First the positives. Loved the story line. Unlike most erotic romances where there's a millionaire playboy seeking the weaker female, this story had a very strong and equally as wealthy female role which I loved. But seeing as the whole story pans out in a period of 2 days I felt their connection was to rushed and unrealistic. I got bored very quickly with the constant internal monologue and her constant debasement. Honestly could never imagine a man, no matter how horny he is, putting up with that much crap in 2 days time yet all the while having sex. The ending was very predictable. Not that that surprised me. Overall I'd give this a 1.5 star rating. Just couldn't get into and was so bored it ticked me off.

Enjoy this lushly written tale of sensual delights... It’s a winner!

There was just something about this book that put it in a class all its own.

Ms. Morris comes up with a winner by deftly blending sensuality and sweetness in a marvelously well written story.

It fascinates me with authors who write heroes point of view. Liv has a gift for imbuing her characters with dignity, compassion and courage that inspire readers. I love Adam finding his inner self and transformation from bad to compassionate, tender and loving man with the help from Kathryn power of (Tantra) touch.

I’ll be waiting for the second book (Adam’s Fall) in December 2013.

I have become all about the male POV -- I think it lends more to the story. It's one of the elements that makes Adam's Apple that good. Adam is no angel -- he knows it and when he meets the beautiful Kathryn, she calls him out on it. Of course he is floored & intrigued by her and pursues her. There are twists that I will not reveal -- READ the book, it is well worth the time.

Adam and Kathryn are just fun! A bit unrealistic with how this smart and wealthy woman gets involved with ladies man Adam. Nonetheless, it was entertaining to watch her walls come down. When the libido speaks all that is common sense goes down the drain.

I should begin this review by mentioning that I first met Liv Morris online three years ago. We were introduced when she was looking for someone to help edit a story she was writing. I heard Liv’s call and volunteered my services. I spent the better part of a year working with her on the story and was happy to see her writing receive a warm reception. Although we have since moved on to other projects, I have always thought highly of Liv and am grateful for the time we spent working together as we honed our writing skills. I was pleasantly surprised when Liv began publishing new stories and eagerly downloaded Adam’s Apple as soon as it became available. I was intrigued by the inclusion of Tantra into the plot and knowing how well Liv excels at writing sexual tension, I was not disappointed.

Morris’ novel takes place in New York City and begins with the end of a particularly bad day at the office for Adam Kingsley. The young billionaire has suffered an upsetting personal and professional loss and decides to vent his frustration by seeking out some female companionship while attending an evening fundraiser. When he encounters a breathtaking and mysterious beauty named Kathyrn, his world is almost immediately turned upside down. It has never been in Adam’s nature to want to know much about his dates, but he is utterly captivated by Kathryn and cannot stop thinking about her.

What is it about this woman’s beauty and expressions that make me feel uneasy? I stretch out my hand to her, but her hands remain solidly on her hips.

Well damn, this is interesting. There isn’t a single wrinkle or line on her face, but the way she looks at me is intriguing, a confidence only acquired with time and experience. Everything about her fascinates me, and her sudden appearance on the social scene bewilders me. But most importantly right now, her body has totally aroused mine. This combination almost never happens with the women I meet at these things, so I start to speak.

“I’d like to introduce myself, I’m Adam Kings–”

She laughs before I can finish my name.

One reason why Adam is captivated by Kathryn is because, unlike nearly every other woman he encounters, she appears immune to his charms. Kathryn rebuffs Adam’s usual advances and yet she doesn’t completely discourage him from pursuing her. In his quest to find out more about her, Adam recruits some help.

I’m anxious to know what Peters has learned about her. Details are what I’m looking for. I wipe my sweaty hands across my trousers, stopping as I realized that for the second time in less than twenty-four hours, just the thought of Kathryn Delcour has made me sweat.

What Adam hears, however, only fuels his attraction for the beautiful socialite.

“…It’s all in the report. Ms. Delcour is a certified Tantra teacher. According to her company’s website, she left a successful practice as a psychologist in Paris after experiencing the…” Peters pauses to read from the papers in his hand, “Freedom, sensuality, and healing power of Tantra…”

Adam becomes curious about the practice of Tantra and what Kathryn is capable of teaching him. Sensing that Adam has genuine interest in her and her beliefs, Kathryn consents to a lesson.

I push the door open the remaining way and gasp. Kathryn comes into my view. She’s kneeling on the large cushion in the middle of the room. Breathtakingly beautiful.

Her pose is one of pure submission. Kneeling as she faces me with her sweet ass resting on the heels of her feet. Her delicate hands, the ones I want touching me, are placed flat above her knees as her body leans forward.

I’m still absorbing the scene in front of me. Kathryn is waiting for me while the flickering light casts shadows across her skin and hair.

“Come join me, Kingsley.” Kathryn curls her lips into a sexy smile, and with a gesturing motion of her hand she invites me to join her. At this moment, I’m powerless and will do whatever this beautiful woman kneeling before me wants.

The magnetic pull I’ve felt since I met her last night draws me to her. I’m powerless against its force. Walking across the rug-covered floor, I arrive at the pillow she’s gracefully kneeling on. Without another thought, I bend my knees and reflect her pose. Willingly, I submit.

As the story progresses, we watch as Adam begins to alter his usual routines in favor of getting to know Kathryn better. We also become wrapped up in an unfolding mystery that threatens to harm Adam, his company and his colleagues, and especially his blossoming relationship with Kathryn.

Make no mistake, Adam Kingsley is a flawed individual and there are things about his character at the beginning of this novel that are unappealing; yet I couldn’t help but think he just needed the right kind of woman to tame his unruly ways. Kathryn Delcour certainly does not disappoint in this regard. She is strong, self-assured and smart. The chemistry between the two is smoldering and fully ignites as the story progresses. If you’re looking to check out of reality for an afternoon and curl up with a sexy read, I think you’ll be happy with this selection.

Adam’s Apple receives 4 out of 5 stars from me, and I’m glad to say that it’s just the first book in a series. I’m really looking forward to seeing what more Adam can learn from Kathryn in regards to the sensual art of Tantra. There is little doubt that he’ll also learn about himself in the process.
