Yes, Yes, YES! That pretty much sums up everything about this first installment of the new series from B.L. Wilde and Jo Matthews. Hot, steamy, conflicting emotions, mysterious, heartbreaking, frightening...you name it, it's here and in such a short span (which incidentally is why I gave it a 4 star rating. We needed more!). Trixie is a complex character who finds herself running away from her past only to fall right smack dab in the middle of a worse situation. Ryan is in over his head with his desire for his boss' son's girlfriend. When these two end up together for a single weekend of passion, after Ryan won a bet, the sparks ignite into flames.
I was honored to be a pre-reader for these two talented ladies. If the rest of the series is as promising as this little teaser, than we're in for a great ride (see what I did there...ride! HAHA!). If you haven't read this book and are looking for something with a bit of heat and mystery, I'd highly recommend this novella.

Trixie was given a job opportunity to dance, she refused to strip, be pawned at, but if they wanted to see fantastic dancing she was their girl. Little did Trixie know it would put her in the path of Ryan Lawson, who she wanted from day one. Ryan though is second to the head of the Valenti mob and after she sees him in a forbidden moment she makes a choice and her life takes a suddenly different path.
Surprising story, there is a lot more to the tale than what you expect. I liked Ryan a lot and you understand Trixie made a choice but did she really? Look forward to the next in the series.

I read this in a morning and I’m dying to read the next one.
Ryan, Ryan, Ryan, he’s the club owner of cherries and falls for ‘Trixie’ straight away. Unfortunately so does Tony, the boss’s son. If Ryan would have made a move sooner, then this story would have played out so differently. Unfortunately he doesn’t and Tony swoops in.
Siena is likeable, she stands up for herself but also knows her place. It’s a good balance of nice and feisty. She also has self-confidence, knows she’s sexy but doesn’t become a bitch about it.
Siena is on the run from her past, she needs some money and is offered a job as a pole dancer in ‘Cherries’. She makes it clear she’s not taking her clothes off or sleeping with anyone for money, she just wants to dance. She is instantly attracted to Ryan, however she witnesses him beating someone up and decides she wants nothing to do with that and completely avoids him. Tony is relentless in asking her out and gets her to agree to one date. Following that she finds out that he’s part of the Mafia - he’s a mob prince. Now she knows she can’t leave him or she’ll end up in the river. Years later Tony bets her in a card game and Ryan wins.

This weekend stirs up more emotions than they were both willing to admit.
The only thing important this weekend was Ryan, and the fact that we were together.
It ended abruptly with so many unanswered questions, however there is another on its way and I can’t wait to read it.

I love B.L. Wilde. I’ll read anything that has her name on it. The collaboration between these two authors is wonderful. I loved everything about this book, except for the fact it was too short. Honestly that was the only issue that I had with this book. Owned was stunning and sexy, and I want more.
While I’m still upset about the length of the novel, while being short – this novel packs some serious punches. The main characters are beautiful yet troubled. With this novel you don’t have to worry about overcoming obstacles, and feeling your heart get ripped out. I thoroughly enjoyed the nice escape that I got from reading this.
The characters of Siena and Ryan were flawed but seriously perfect for one another. Siena had people call her Trixie so that they wouldn’t get to know the real her. I can’t blame her, being an exotic dancer and all. While I loved the thought of Siena(Trixie) and Ryan together, unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be. Or was it?! (PLEASE SAY YES!) The fact that she had Ryan call her by her real name, because she wanted to be herself with him… swoon.
The sexiness of this novel is off the charts. If only I could get my hands on a Ryan for myself… Yum. He’s that much of a distraction. That’s how you know a character is perfection! It’s only a character in a book, but he’s so perfect that you just can’t stop thinking about how you wish he were real. Again, the collaboration of B. and Jo is a marvelous read. I honestly can’t wait for the next installment of this to come out. I need it, bad. Definitely grab a copy of this, cause while it’s short and you can finish it quickly – it’s phenomenal. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a quick intoxicatingly sexy read. I’d have to say that I’d give this a 17+ disclaimer… cause it get’s HOT!

This book is not for the faint of heart or for those who are easily offended. B.L. Wilde and Jo Matthews know how to tell an erotic tale. This one in particular dealt with the world of the mafia, which meant that things were very dangerous. I've enjoyed these ladies' other works so I was looking forward in reading this collaborative work.
The novella started off very strong. Right away we come to learn that Siena aka Trixie was in danger and only came to work at the strip club to earn some sort of living. Her past was briefly mentioned but it was enough to make one feel some sympathy towards her. Things became very interesting when Trixie met Ryan. These two were immediately attracted to each other and had you wondering whether or not they will get together, especially when Trixie began to date Tony.
The story went back and forth between Trixie and Ryan's point of view. I enjoyed reading the chapters when the story was being told through Trixie's eyes but I was not a big fan of Ryan's chapters. Though I do not mind foul language as much, I thought that it was excessively done when Ryan was telling the story. Also, it was a little irritating that Ryan only seemed to focus on Trixie's private parts. However, Ryan had a good side to him that I couldn't help but find him attractive and had me rooting for him to win the bet to be with Trixie.
B.L. Wilde and Jo Matthews know how to make things steamy. The sex scenes were sexy and made one want to fan herself. I only wish that they were able to expand more on the story and concentrate more on the romance factor to make the two main character's attraction to each other stronger.
Overall, this was an enticing novella. Yes, I felt a little uncomfortable with the foul language, but I could not help but get captivated with the world that these two authors created. I am very interested to find out what would happen to our main characters.

Siena (Now know as Trixie) was wanted by most blokes, where she thought she was ordinary, guys thought she was extraordinary.
She was craved after, and there was an instant attraction between her and Ryan the club manager.
Only one 2 things stood in his way.
1. Siena knew Ryan had a dark side, she couldn't be led down that path.

2. Tony( her bosses son.)He thought he had rights to Trixie and like a spoil brat he always gets his way.
I dont want to give the story away, but things pan out and 2 years worth of pent up sexual attraction and lusting after each other. Siena and Ryan are given a weekend with no repercussions!! Or are they??

Whoa! For a short read, this book packed quite a punch. This book was an amazing ride full of action, suspense, steam, and laugh out loud moments. With heartbreaking moments and hot encounters to make you sweat, this book will have you thinking about it long after it's over.
This is Trixie and Ryan's story. Trixie is on the run from her past. Dong what she can to make ends meet, she is an exotic dancer. Dating her boss' son doesn't stop her from lusting and secretly wanting Ryan. When Ryan wins Trixie in a poker game for a weekend, the tables will be turned. Ryan has always wanted Trixie, attached or not. A weekend that will change their lives? Will these two be able to face the obstacles ahead? Do they have a chance?
The chemistry between these two was scorching. Their attraction was undeniable. I loved Ryan. He was alpha, sexy, and super yummy. I also liked Trixie. I admired her strength though she tugged at my heart strings.
Once again this author wrote another amazing story and that ending... I need the next book!
I recommend this book.

I received a free copy of OWNED for my honest review and a blog tour
This was so freakin hot...seriously, if I gave stars just for hot, it would have like the max.
OMFG Owned is SOOOO hot!
Siena needs to make some money, so off she goes to audition at Cherries, we'll just call it a Gentlemans Club, even though I'm not really sure that they're actually gentlemen. It's actually owned by the mob, which unfortunately for Siena, she doesn't find that out until she's already there. During her audition dance she catches sight of Ryan..omg was he fine..we're talking drooling here.
But as she's catching a cigarette break she finds Ryan and a couple of other guys roughing someone up in the alleyway. That's it for Siena, no more drooling of Ryan for her, she doesn't do violence.
Some time passes and she has her one chance, yep, just one weekend, to spend with Ryan. Yeah, she knows what's gonna happen, and boy howdy does it.
Holy Hot...just wow..

What a great introduction to this new series collaboration by BL Wilde and Jo Matthews! And the introduction to both Ryan and Trixie are definitely eye catchers. Now, some might not like the idea of Ryan winning the weekend with Trixie but frankly, I found it exciting and perfect for the world they live in. I wouldn't have minded knowing a bit more of Trixie's past but when you're dealing with a series like this, I feel all bets are off about past revelations because there is always time to reveal when it will have the most impact on the story and the surrounding characters. As for Ryan, he may be a bit foul mouthed but they are living in the mob world, this isn't a Disney atmosphere they find themselves in. On a personal note, I grew up on a farm and heard way worse from all around me so it wasn't an issue for me but it might be for some. Both these ladies have been on my authors-to-watch list for a while now but if they hadn't, Owned would definitely cement their place.

I should start off by saying the more 'alpha' a male character is the more I fall in lust with him. Ryan Lawson is that character. He is brooding, sexy, smart, confident, sexy ... wait did I already say that? Beneath the bad boy is a man that is so in love with a woman that he can't have it almost consumes him.
Trixie is on the run from a life she left behind. Going through the motions a a life she truly doesn't want only to keep herself above water she continuously sacrifices her needs and wants for what will help her move forward.
When these two come together, even with a touch the pages catch fire. When they connect your own soul catches fire. The passion and undeniable connection these two characters have is HOT. Ryan will melt your panties right off and like Trixie have you begging for more. I cannot wait for MORE RYAN!!

So I really liked the sound of this book and it did not disappoint minus the huge cliffhanger at the end. Trixie or Siena is desperate for a job, she comes to dance for the mob boss, while there she catches the eye of Ryan, The bosses right hand man. He knows he can never have due to the fact she is now dating the bosses son. Ryan, hiding his attraction to her, goes on a run with the boys and it gets bad. Trixie is in a relationship with Tony but he bets her in a poker game against Ryan. Trixie has always wanted Ryan but she witnessed something he did and decided she could never have him. Now Ryan has won her in a poker game. They get a weekend together. The chemistry is through the roof. But she belongs to Tony. After the smoking hot weekend are they going to able to go back to how they were before? Will there be repercussions?
I loved Ryan he is sweet and so very sexy. Trixie is strong but wonders if she is really strong enough for this. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from these authors.

Wow, the sex is HOT, the storyline was really great. I want to hear more of Siena's background, and I definitely want more of Ryan.
