⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! Breach, book 1 of 4.5. Inter-office forbidden romance with rough & kinky sex plus a dirty talker!

Breach (book 1) opens up to transactional attorneys, Delilah Palmer, Lila and Nathan Thorne sharing an office at their law firm. Despite taking and instant dislike to each other they share a fierce attraction resulting in some off-the-charts sex against furniture in their cramped space.
Both with secrets and scars from their pasts find solace in each other, but due to their company’s strict non-fraternization rule they must keep their affair hidden under the façade of disdain and contempt.

This is definitely one of those times when I find myself in the minority. Most of my friends loved 'Breach' and I, sadly, did not. I was really looking forward to reading this book and I was sure that it would be right up my alley after hearing about all of the steamy sex scenes that filled the pages. I love some smutty goodness, after all!
Unfortunately, there was little else but sex to fill the pages. From start to finish, this book was filled with pretty much nothing but sex scenes. I'm no prude, but they needed to give it a rest.
I'm the type of reader that needs a connection between characters -- preferably before they jump into bed, but I can even work with a relationship that develops afterward. However, at some point they need to actually develop a strong connection. I need to be drawn into the story and feel a bond with the characters and their plight. Otherwise, the reading experience is more like being a bystander while two random strangers have lots of meaningless sex. It's just pointless.
While some of the sex scenes had potential to be very hot, the lack of a connection to the characters and the storyline left me with a lackluster feeling. I just didn't care. There was no build-up or anticipation. I never felt a strong connection with the characters and didn't get the feeling that they ever felt a strong connection with each other. As a result, I never felt any type of emotional connection to the story and the "steamy" sex scenes fell flat for me.
I kept thinking that if the author spent half as much time on fleshing out the characters and the storyline as she did on the sex scenes that this story could be really good. Instead, every time I turned a page Delilah and Nathan were having sex again. Sex was the outcome of every single interaction these two had. Jealous? Have sex. Threatened? Have sex. Nervous? You guessed it - sex! It got to the point where it was tedious for me.
In the end, this book ended up being just mediocre for me. Some of the sex scenes were pretty good, but they were so gratuitous that even the good scenes induced eye-rolling. I listened to the Audible edition and found myself fast-forwarding through many sex scenes toward the end because I just couldn't take anymore. I get it - they have LOTS of sex. I just needed more of a story to go along with it. That never happened.
The first book in the series, 'Breach' ends with a cliffhanger. Usually, that would send me diving right into the second book to see what happened. Although I'm in the minority with this one, I feel absolutely no desire to do so. Even with the "shocking" ending, I just couldn't bring myself to care. All I felt was relief that finally something had happened that might make these two stop having sex and come up for air. Since I never felt anything for the main characters, I couldn't bring myself to care where the story will lead. I'm glad so many friends have loved this one. It just didn't work for me.

WOW. What an amazing, intriguing and mind-blowing story... It managed to captivate my entire attention from the moment I started reading it. Breach is a dark, gritty, emotional, realistic and heartbreaking story. And above all that, this book is OFF THE CHARTS HOT!!! Seriously. Keep a bucket of ice nearby because you're going to need it.

Delilah Palmer --
Delilah Palmer is just an ordinary woman. Or at least, that's what she wants the outside world to believe. The last few years she's spent working her ass off as a lawyer at the Holloway and Holloway Law firm. There, everyone seems to fall for her good girl with an introvert character - act. No one knows about the pain and humiliation she suffered through as a child. She's been able to hide those tormenting memories behind a well preserved mask.
But when Nathan Thorne becomes her new colleague, the two of them have to work very closely together in their shared office. At first, they hate each other. Nathan constantly teases her, while she tries to give him the cold shoulder. But after a while, they realize they have a lot more in common than they ever expected. It turns out, Lila isn't the only one hiding behind a mask...

After a while they seek comfort in each other. At night, they try to escape the harshness life has to offer, by drowning themselves in each other the only way they know how. Still, whenever their together in their own private world, they make each other forget about their past and focus on the present.

Nathan Thorne is a man with a broken past. To this day, he's still haunted by the terrible events that happened to him years ago. We don't really learn what happened to him exactly, but it must have been something awful. And as if the memories alone weren't bad enough already, the scars on his body are still a daily reminder of what that awful event must have been.
"Nathan had scars on the outside to match the scars he held on the inside, where as mine were all inside."
However, Nathan knows exactly how to hide his haunted past. With his good looks and charm he manages to fool the entire office into believing he's just an easygoing, carefree guy that everyone can't help but love. But underneath all of that, he hides a dark side that only Lila manages to reveal...

There's no better dirty talker than Nathan Torne... The things that come out of his mouth are just...phew!! HOT. Other than that, he can be rough, possessive and hard to handle, but minutes later he can be the complete opposite; sweet, caring and understanding. He doesn't know how to express himself with words so he uses his body to address his feeling towards Lila. And although she might seem like an innocent, breakable girl; she's far from it. She knows exactly how to handle herself in the dirty talk department.

Breach isn't only a a sexual discovery for both of the main characters, it's most importantly a deeply emotional adventure. In this story we follow the journey of two people, being accustomed to keeping up appearances and hiding behind masks. But when they're together, the masks come off and both of their deepest and darkest secrets are revealed to each other...
Nathan and Lila are two tortured souls with a haunted past. They're both the same...broken. They are both equally messed up which why they are so perfect for each other. No one has ever understood them better than they understand each other. But the question is, is understanding each other enough? Is it enough to fix the problems they have?
Towards the ending, the story became more intense and grittier. The whole time I was reading it, I had a feeling something was about to go wrong. And let me just say, the first part of this series does not end with a happily ever after. There was kind of a cliffhanger but I wouldn't exactly let it hold you back from giving this story a try because to me, it turned out to be an ABSOLUTE MUST READ.
Overall, Breach was a very well written, unforgettable story that I absolutely LOVED reading. It was a fast-paced story and a real page-turner. I could not stop reading it! And well, because of how it ended, the sequel cannot come fast enough...

5 BEAUTIFULLY MESSED UP STARS.

I had trouble deciding whether I was going to give this 2 or 3 stars, and in all honesty - it probably deserves three. At the end, I chose the former because if I was having to decide in the first place, it means there was a significant reason why.
Breach was one of those stories that took a while for you to get into it, but by the time you were partially invested in the story - it hit the ending chapter. And while this ended in a cliffhanger, I really wasn't jumping to go onto the next installment in the series

Character Conundrums
I don't think I have ever had such a weird progressive relationship with characters in a story before.
I started off hating Nathaniel, I really thought this was going to be a DNF because his character was everything I don't look for in a love interest. He was overly cocky (not in a good way), full of himself, and pretty damn presumptuous.
However, I soon found myself to be pretty enraptured by him and his past. Although, we didn't get much backstory (more on that later). He had a soft side, and I think the author achieved showing that well amongst all the hard and cemented exterior.
Also, Delilah was everything I actually sought after in a female lead in the start. She was badass, didn't take shit and knew how to banter. But then as we progressively know more about her, some of that cracks - and although that can be a good thing, I felt like it was an odd extremity that had little to no fleshing out. So I was left churning over a really two dimensional character.
The Sex
Okay.
There are so many 'ugh's' that I had mentally exchanged with situations in this book. I cannot even begin to convince you how many.
Straight off the bat, you will know this is COMPLETELY erotica. Now, don't get me wrong - I love erotica... Erotica gives sex behind a story. Breach, however was story behind sex.
Folks, they were already fucking on page 15.
The sex was really descriptive and yummy and everything good about a sex scene, but the amount of sex got tedious after a while. I kept waiting for character development and a source of a story behind the characters - I got a lot of the issue on a surface level, but to really invest myself into characters and couples in stories, there should be an element of realism within the relationship. Lila and Nathan spent a lot of their time fucking, and they both carried some intense demons. Both of which we got to see, but only one of which we got to read.
Also, I don't really know how to explain it - but the book had facets of insta- love in it. For example it was only page 21 and already:
Yes, it was apparent after not even knowing the guy?!?
But even after saying that, there were elements that made me read on. This was definitely a guilty pleasure for me. The dirty talk played to an advantage in some aspects and it got good after about the midway point. But again, this was due to getting some sort of story with both Lila and Nathan.
Shits and Giggles
There were some aspects that made me laugh out loud / cringe during scenes.
1) One in particular was about Nathan concentrating while he was fucking her, and I kid you not - I laughed to tears. Not even sorry.
“His jaw was tight and there was a constant look of furious concentration, as if he was driving his demons out of him with each movement.”
2) Another was the nickname given - 'honeybear'
3) Ok.. Ok last one. I have no words for this, except how much I want to approach any species on planet earth that has the audacity to ask if a woman is on her period just because she shows a little bit of sass. No really, shut the fuck up and go back to the stone age thanks.
“Nathan continued his assault on the pen’s button. “It’s my thinking tool.”
I glared at him. “Well, your thinking tool has me thinking about all the ways I could harm you with it.”
He stared back at me, defying my request and clicking it again. “That time of the month, Palmer?”

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!
Not only did I love the story, which was beautiful and heartbreaking, I loved the characters, and it was seriously one of the hottest books I have ever read. Ever.
Delilah Palmer is an attorney at a law firm who has been severely overworked the last few months. Not that she minds too much. Lila has a few friends, but she mostly keeps to herself. She has suffered abuse growing up, and it has shaped her into the woman she is today. On the outside, she is a nice normal person, but on the inside, not so much. She has had it drilled into her head over and over again that she is nothing. Worthless. No one would ever want her.
Finally, they hire another attorney to help her out. His name is Nathan Thorne.
There was much more to Nathan Thorne than what appeared on the polished surface.
Nathan and Lila’s first meeting was pretty funny. Nathan is a cocky, good looking guy and all the girls in the office go crazy over him. Everyone except Lila. There is something about her that draws Nathan to her. They gripe at each other and tease, but get along okay. One night, while staying late at the office, things change between them.
Nathan is unlike any other guy Lila has ever been with.
I have no words to describe how HOT these two were together... Scorching. Nathan is dominate and aggressive, in a good way. Between them, it’s rough, sensual and steamy. And for all of you who likes a hero with a dirty mouth, Nathan fits the bill.
One thing I really loved about this book, it wasn’t all sex. True- there was a ton of sex, but it was also an intense story about the emotional journey of two broken people.
Nathan may seem to be this sexy, fun and cocky guy on the outside, but he has a past. He is screwed up on the inside. Nathan is a broken hero with a tortured soul.
For the first time in a long time, he connects with someone. Lila gets him in a way no one else has. He doesn’t have to wear a mask constantly with her- he can drop the facade. He can’t get her out of his mind. No matter how hard he tries. Not only are they having a lot of hot sex, but they can just be together. They probably shouldn’t be. Not only does Nathan know he’s not good for Lila, if they were found out at work, they could lose their jobs. It doesn’t stop them from being together though. They comfort each other, sleep with each other every night. Just be there.
Nathan is worried he can’t be what Lila needs. He knows he is not capable of being there for her in every way, but he can’t stay away no matter how hard he tries. All Lila has ever wanted was to feel loved, to feel like someone wants her. Even though he can’t say it, she feels that with Nathan.
Even though Nathan can’t give Lila everything she wants, they come to a conclusion:

Towards the end, I just knew something was going to happen... and it did. There was not a huge cliffhanger on this one ,but there was a cliffhanger. Don't let that stop you from reading though! It's just too good to pass up! I am anxious to get to the second book this fall!

Nathan may seem to be this sexy, fun and cocky guy on the outside, but he has a past. He is screwed up on the inside. Nathan is a broken hero with a tortured soul.
Nathan had scars on the outside to match the scars he held on the inside, where as mine were all inside.
For the first time in a long time, he connects with someone. Lila gets him in a way no one else has. He doesn’t have to wear a mask constantly with her- he can drop the facade. He can’t get her out of his mind. No matter how hard he tries. Not only are they having a lot of hot sex, but they can just be together. They probably shouldn’t be. Not only does Nathan know he’s not good for Lila, if they were found out at work, they could lose their jobs. It doesn’t stop them from being together though. They comfort each other, sleep with each other every night. Just be there.
Nathan is worried he can’t be what Lila needs. He knows he is not capable of being there for her in every way, but he can’t stay away no matter how hard he tries. All Lila has ever wanted was to feel loved, to feel like someone wants her. Even though he can’t say it, she feels that with Nathan.
I was hollow, nothing but emptiness. I so craved the love I had been denied and the chance to love in return. Words could not express how deeply I craved the feeling of being wanted.
Even though Nathan can’t give Lila everything she wants, they come to a conclusion:
Lila’s feelings grown and develop...
I was home.
We were one in that moment, together again, bound to each other in a way neither of us understood, but were beginning to accept.
I was in love with him.
Towards the end, I just knew something was going to happen... and it did. There was not a huge cliffhanger on this one ,but there was a cliffhanger. Don't let that stop you from reading though! It's just too good to pass up! I am anxious to get to the second book this fall!
This story captivated me from the start. Once I started, I just couldn’t put it down. Loved every minute of it! This will be going on my favorites list. Another must read for me... One I would highly recommend!

2 Stars!RANT TIME!!!
People have gone on and on about the dirty talking in this book...
I AM SORRY; FROM NO ANGLE DO I SEE IT AS 'DIRTY TALKING'
IT WAS ABUSIVE TALKING AND SO NOT HOT. CURDE AND ABUSIVE.
And then people say Travis is bad, abusive and mental... Well what the fuck is Nathan then? :\
I don't know who was raping who in this book.. Either Lila was attacking Nate or Nathan was attacking Lila, but I swear they were raping each other at points in this book; rape was happening... LOL!!
I got their story, I liked that part of it.. what I didn't get was the sex. I MEAN FUCKING SERIOUSLY?
This book would have been a 4.5 Stars for me if they were making love instead of having brutal angry sex. It would have made so much more sense in terms of connection to the character's stories.
While he was fucking her, he was always angry had dark mental eyes filled with lust, but angry type lust.. like he didn't want to feel that lust.
She was just plain weird; I mean I liked her character's story a 100 times more firstly because hardly any of Nate's story was disclosed in this book and it was more powerful and WOW types but she was weak.

I don't usually read reviews before I pick up a book. There are two reasons for that: A. I don't like any sort of spoilers before I start a book and B. I like to form my own opinion.
I do, however, tend to read reviews after I finish. Again, there are two reaons for that: A. to see what others thought and why (especially if their rating is way different from mine) and B. to have a laugh.

I can see why so many gave this book a low rating.

Some of the trauma that Lila experienced was truly heartbreaking, and Nathan's demons are equally as painful. And yet, together they make each other whole. I adore these characters so much and watching them come together and break apart was something I will never forget. This beautiful broken story is full of passion and heart and some serious dirty talking!
Overall, I have long been a fan of K.I. and Breach is the story that started it all. I highly recommend this series to all of my contemporary romance fans that enjoy a little dark and a lot of dirty in their reads! Simply stated, everyone should experience Nathan Thorne. Just one taste of Mr. Thorne and you won't be able to stop until you get more. I am so glad I went back and re-read this epic work. I look forward to continuing the journey with Nathan and Lila. I will never get enough!

With that thought in mind I can say I was convinced from the start, addicted by 50% and completley in love by the end ... See for yourselves readers, you will not be disappointed.

Delilah 'Lila' Palmer is a successful lawyer and employee of Holloway and Holloway, with an opening in her office she hopes for a Colleague less annoying than her previous workmate, so it comes as a surprise when she she is introduced to Nathan Thorne, a dangerously, attractive mysterious man who has the whole office begging for his attention. A turbulent relationship ensues where a battle of self worth and lust clashes with demons of the past and dark secrets. But both these troubled souls have found themselves under a seductive spell of their need for each other and as secrets are revealed and hearts are invested where will it end for Nate and Lila?

Although the author makes it clear that Lila has issues to overcome, I found her difficulties endearing and easy to empathise with. I cheered from the sidelines for this character and I'm desperate for Lila to find her sweet ending that she deserves. With the pull of attraction towards each other 'Breach' takes the reader on a journey their love and finding themselves together.
What did I love?
'Breach' is a novel that is as outlandish with the steam as it is with a storyline often times this genre can lack a little with depth, but I found it to be an exciting, intriguing well thought out plot. I loved the characters I was 'on the edge of my seat' excited as the story unfolded, every chapter filled with mystery and well lets just say more than erotic bed sheet action.
Final thoughts ...
'Breach' does leave the reader wanting more, so be prepared for an excitement for the next book in the series, but not to fear it's not a huge cliffhanger. This book won't be for everyone, this author takes the term 'dirty talking' and gives it a new meaning, so be warned. But if you want a refreshing story about a hero that is damaged but completely breathtaking and a heroine that is as lovely as she is broken then don't delay this book will undoubtably be a winner for you ...

Well, it looks like this is just one of those 'everyone loved it but me' books. Just goes to show you that this story is not for everyone.
How do I even eloquently sum up the first half of this book? Oh...right!
Basically, the first 50% is just filled with angry and rough fucking (it was not sex, fucking is the best way to describe it) with barely any plot. We get a few glimpses into the darkness that Delilah hides. But that is pretty much it.
I almost DNF'd it 4 times. Luckily a few of my GR friends encouraged me to keep going, and it did get much better right after the 50% mark.
Everything got off to a good start. I had a feeling I'd like Nathan from the very first smirk. Then he sealed the deal when he opened his mouth.
So what was the problem for me, then? The fact that he kept opening his mouth.
I am no prude, trust me, just take a look at my read and favorites folders. I love a dirty-talking hero. Nathan crossed the line from dirty talking and entered the cheap porno zone around the 20% mark.
It all began innocently enough...
Then it progressed...
And kept progressing...
But wait! There's more!
Well, YEA!
I found it hard to look past the fact that Nathan kept referring to Delilah as slut or whore the entire book. Really, that's so not sexy.
Then there was this scene...
The second half was much better. We get a few glimpses into Nathan and his very dark past, though never really find out what happened to him.
Delilah and Nathan are both broken people. Neither one of them feels worthy of love. Delilah's reasons and past are revealed in Breach. I guess we will have to wait for book 2, or perhaps even the novella, to learn more about Nathan.
This is a very dark and gritty read. Nathan and Delilah spend the entire book having rough sex. It never eases up with the filthy talking of slut this and whore that, or the roughness...even when they more or less develop feelings for each other.
For those that are iffy about cliffhangers, be warned, this book ends one hell of a cliffhanger. The sneak peek into book 2 that we get only left me with more questions than answers.

Delilah and Nathan are both broken people. Neither one of them feels worthy of love. Delilah's reasons and past are revealed in Breach. I guess we will have to wait for book 2, or perhaps even the novella, to learn more about Nathan.
This is a very dark and gritty read. Nathan and Delilah spend the entire book having rough sex. It never eases up with the filthy talking of slut this and whore that, or the roughness...even when they more or less develop feelings for each other.
For those that are iffy about cliffhangers, be warned, this book ends one hell of a cliffhanger. The sneak peek into book 2 that we get only left me with more questions than answers.
I had a tough time rating this. The first half of the book was 1 star for me, while the second half was something close to a 4. So I will stick with 3 stars.

You know you don’t have to climb all over me to get my attention. Lifting your skirt works very well.
Nathan has secrets, but he masks them well. We actually don’t find out all of his secrets in this book, but I didn’t mind the cliffy. Nathan is…enough for me. Dirty talk is my #1 turn-on, and he takes the cake! I love how rough he is. He bruises. He imprints. He pulls. He pushes. I love how he can be gentle (but it’s rare). I love how much he cares about Lila, so much so that he tells her to push him away because he doesn’t have the strength to push her away. Gah! Love him!

After a while, the sexual tension between her and Nathan begins to build, and things explode (pun intended!).

4.5 dirty shocking stars!!
Holy Shit! I think this is the first time I've read a book with such dirty sex. It was insane, hot at times but still insane!!
Normally I'm don't rate book high which is mostly about sex but this book is so different. To a point that the dirty sex is what made the story..

Let me start.. After reading that prologue I knew I was in for some hard core stuff and man oh man this book was it!!
Delilah aka Lila is an attorney at Holloway and Holloway, she is a workaholic busting her ass for the past few months until the new employee arrived...
Nathan Thorne... He is the epitome of sexiness! Has all the females swooning at the office. Lila is quite irritated at this and because of the fact she shares an office with him makes it even worse.
They throw each other cocky remarks all the time.
Lila and Nathan...
His fan club- the boob squad make an appearance in their office often and one night while working late they get it on, rough and vulgar...
As it turns out Lila and Nathan live in the same apartment building and as much as they try to fight it they are so sexually attracted to each other.

After reading pages and pages of hard core dirty rough sex, we finally find out Lila has issues.

Two people who are emotionally ticking time bombs are a recipe for disaster and with these two disasters the is bound to be an explosion

At first we think that because they are both so broken they can heal each other but Nathan can't let her in.

And that's what's makes Lila's worst fears come true until she crashes and burns.
She finds herself in a worse place then before she was with Nathan.
After an emotional breakdown as soon as we find out Nathan secrets we as readers are also pushed away back to the dark.
"All the walls I had built to hold the crushing dark abyss gave way, trapping me in its suffocating black depth. I was sent spiraling into the dark, the light fading, my strength gone."
After a tragedy, not only are we are left totally confused but we are also left hanging!!! :(
"Nothing. I was nothing. Just as they’d always said I was. I would never amount to anything. Yup, there I was, shell of a fucking human being because I fell in love."
September is a long way from now :(

They have to work together.Nathan is gorgeous but also anti-social. They start to hate each other in the begining but there is also sexual tension!One night they are working late and end up having sex.Lila thinks it was the best sex of her life while Nathan leaves her . He doesn’t want to have a relationship with her but they cant stay away from each other.Both characters are almost consumed by loneliness and while they know they should resist the attraction they feel towards each other, they cannot!
And sex becomes their way of expressing their feelings..
OMG the sex is really hot!!!And there are a lot of dirty, intense, hot sex scenes!! I'd originally been holding back on reading these books because despite them sounding so intriguing to me, they were part of a still-incomplete trilogy and I knew that book #1 had a cliffhanger so I was planning to wait until all three were out before starting. But since book #2, Infraction, was recently released and I was told that it had a non-cliffhanger ending, I immediately dove in and WOW...
I. Am. Hooked.
The story follows Lila, a hardworking, career-driven lawyer who is hiding layers upon layers of hurt and sadness behind a happy facade. Her job gives her something to dedicate herself to and she throws herself into it with all her heart. But her law firm has a very strict non-fraternization policy and when Nathan, a gorgeous, confident new co-worker, is brought in to share her office, the sparks just flew!
They rubbed each other the wrong way and yet at the same time were irresistibly drawn to each other. Forbidden to have an office romance and yet utterly incapable of ignoring the intense pull they both felt towards each other. And so began the breach...
But there was so much more hiding beneath Nathan's polished, god like, smirking exterior. Inside was a deeply tortured, broken, and damaged man scarred both inside and out by the horrors of his past.
Tortured heroes really are my most favorite to read about. Something about them just calls to me, tugs at my heart strings and makes my heart ache with a desperate need to see them find happiness. And Nathan Thorne was about as tortured and damaged as you get. His story just broke my heart and filled me with questions upon questions. I still don't know everything but what I know is just absolutely crushing.
He was such an enigma. I wanted to know more about him. What had happened to him? What was he hiding? What were his secrets? Despite their relationship starting off as borderline hostile, he was the kind of guy who would follow her home from the bar just to make sure she got their safely. Somewhere inside was a gorgeous soul... he was just so beaten that he rarely let the world see who he really was and often, he didn't even realize himself.
*sigh* Can I hug him?
Ok, my one and only complaint was this... So, Nathan was a dirty talker in the bedroom. Now, that I am more than fine with. It's hot. He was hot. And their chemistry was just scorching. But... he used two words which really just rubbed me the wrong way: slut and whore. Now, the only reasons that I didn't let it bother me quite as much as it otherwise might were that a) Lila was clearly getting off on it and b) it was such a vast deviation from the kind, loving, caring person he also showed himself to be that I could tell he didn't mean them in perhaps quite the same way I was taking them. I don't know. I didn't like it but at the same time, I also think (or hope) that it's something that will be addressed in future books. I'd like to think he has a reason behind it.
Contrasting to the controlling, dominating person he was in the bedroom was a beautifully tender side of him that only Lila brought out. It terrified Nathan to see how much he was falling for Lila. Every time he got close, he broke down... haunted by his past. And when the few pieces of his back story were eventually revealed, it was just gut wrenching and utterly horrific.
He was so guarded in every aspect of his life and I loved watching his walls slowly come down the closer they got together. They had an unconventional relationship to be sure, but it was no less strong. And in their own way, what they had was extremely heartwarming.
The sex was scorching. Erotic. Raw and also rough. They were crazy about each other and craved each other in an intense way that was borderline abusive but it was what they both wanted - what they both needed.
Nathan was naturally hard, dominating, and possessive and didn't hold back and Lila craved that connection and craved to be wanted. They were both driven by an all consuming need for each other and in the bedroom, there were no boundaries.
This is the story of a woman who has never known love and a man broken by the horrors of his past who were drawn to each other and despite being haunted by the demons of their pasts, somehow find a way to begin to heal each other. Away from the prying eyes of the world, the masks that they hold in place slip off and despite both being deeply tortured and broken, they were also perfect for each other.
Not all the questions are answered at the end and we are left on a huge massive brutal cliffhanger that had my heart lodged firmly in my throat. Thank God I have the next book ready to go because I need to know what happens next!!

So, I'll be honest...what drew me to this book was all my friends telling me what a dirty talker Nathan was and Holy Cow - they were right. But as always, that's only part of the story.....
We have two severely messed up people...wait, more than messed up...they are broken, that are extremely attracted to each other. It doesn't help that there is a non-fraternization policy at their work which definitely amps up the intensity. And why not throw in some, or a lot, of jealousy? Just to get things nice and volatile.
When Nathan and Delilah(aka Lila) finally cross that line, it's not hearts and roses...oh no, it's biting and hair pulling, scratching and clothes ripping! And while Delilah is feeling something, Nathan wants to feel nothing and he's angry that he doesn't! He lets Delilah know and he's not exactly nice about it, in fact, he says some really horrible things. And for some people, that might be hard to read.
With their relationship being secret, they both pull out all the dirty tricks they can...just to get at each other. It's almost as if they want to be found out. Dirty talking, dirty texting, domineering and extremely vocal in private and...public places.
This book is just a train wreck....but it's a train wreck I couldn't look away from. I literally finished the book in less than a day and I'm still not sure how I feel about it. Yes, I want a HEA but it's going to be a long road getting there. And it's intense and emotional and it had me on the edge of my seat the whole time...it just doesn't let up!
We slowly find out what is going on with Nathan and Lila...but beware, we don't get the whole story. And of course, there has to be bumps in their "relationship"...lots of bumps.
Thankfully, they both have people that are there for them and care for them. Unfortunately, they don't take advantage of that. I can't say it enough that these are two extremely effed up people...one who doesn't know love and the other who doesn't want it.
Of course, there's a cliffhanger...why not make things even more angsty? Thank goodness they also included the beginning of the next book which Oh My Flippin' God...Nathan?? Seriously?? Now I only have more questions!! The tricky thing is that's the beginning of Infraction which is book two but...we are getting a novella called Dissolution in June which is part of Breach from Nathan's POV...and that should be really good!
BTW...in case you haven't heard, Yes...this is a Twilight FanFiction. I don't even know why I'm shocked anymore. I wasn't expecting it...of course, we have two messed up people and a man that is totally domineering but the big revelation was the chestnut hair. It is mind boggling the amount of stories that have stemmed from Stephenie Meyer's dream!

This book is just a train wreck....but it's a train wreck I couldn't look away from. I literally finished the book in less than a day and I'm still not sure how I feel about it. Yes, I want a HEA but it's going to be a long road getting there. And it's intense and emotional and it had me on the edge of my seat the whole time...it just doesn't let up!
We slowly find out what is going on with Nathan and Lila...but beware, we don't get the whole story. And of course, there has to be bumps in their "relationship"...lots of bumps.
Thankfully, they both have people that are there for them and care for them. Unfortunately, they don't take advantage of that. I can't say it enough that these are two extremely effed up people...one who doesn't know love and the other who doesn't want it.
Of course, there's a cliffhanger...why not make things even more angsty? Thank goodness they also included the beginning of the next book which Oh My Flippin' God...Nathan?? Seriously?? Now I only have more questions!! The tricky thing is that's the beginning of Infraction which is book two but...we are getting a novella called Dissolution in June which is part of Breach from Nathan's POV...and that should be really good!
BTW...in case you haven't heard, Yes...this is a Twilight FanFiction. I don't even know why I'm shocked anymore. I wasn't expecting it...of course, we have two messed up people and a man that is totally domineering but the big revelation was the chestnut hair. It is mind boggling the amount of stories that have stemmed from Stephenie Meyer's dream!

I started reading this because after all the pnr, fantasy, and heavy-thinking books I've read, I needed something smut-tastic. But this book went above and beyond. Not only was the sex, you know, good *tries for casual shrug* but I was as equally entertained with the story.
Delilah Palmer was quite a surprised. I was expecting a mousy, irritating heroine but instead I got a fiery one with a backbone.
As for Nathan Thorne, the stories are true, he is one hell of a dirty talker. But aside from that, I was genuinely interested in figuring out what happened to him. He was an enigma and I was soaking up every detail in order to piece together his story.
This also meant closely analyzing those sex scenes . . . and what can I say? It was all in the name of research ;)
Nathan & Lila's relationship (if you can call it that) was a tricky one. They were so adamant about remaining emotionally distant, even while their physically chemistry kept pulling them together. But in no time, they were finding solace in each other.
I loved how intense they could be one moment and then playful in the next.

Breach is a story about to broken souls who find themselves pulled towards each other and form intense, passionate and extremely sexual relationship. I felt in love with characters and was deepely touched and captivated by their story. I LOVED IT!
My Lila and Nathan:
Delilah (Lila) craves gentlesness amd kindness. Emotions that were absent in her past. Always rejected in the past, she feels unworthy, useless and boring. She wears a mask every day, hiding her insecurities. Until one day, new and really good looking colleague comes to share an office with her. Lila is extremely attracted not only to his good looks but also to his dark secrets...
I immediatelly liked Nathan and his cocky attitude. He was playfully arrogant and charismatic but soon it was clear that he wears mask himself to cover darkness that consumes him...
After days of pent-up frustration and dirty talking between those two, their actions lead to rough, angry and orgasmic sex. And let me tell you, hotness between Lila and Nathan was extreme, they could not deny it even though it meant going against non-fraterniaztion policy. Usually, I am not the one to like book with so much sex involved but I got attached to characters that much that it did not bother me at all to be honest. Sex was some kind of terrapy for them and it just suited story perfectly!

As the story progressed and I learnt how much these two people were broken inside, I hurted a lot for them. I was so sad for what they had to endure in their lives, I was so sad for who they became and what burdens they have to carry in the present. Two broken people cannot have normal or ordinary relationship. So if you do not like to read about crazy-like, possessive, obsessive relationships, this book is not for you. But I loved it. Their affair was intense, passionate, full of desire, need and roughness. They quickly became each other anchor. But can it be enough to overcome their past and their nightmares?
Be ready for some sort of cliffhanger at the end. After all this is only first book in the series. Fortunatelly there is bonus, beginning of the first chapter from sequel which will put your mind to rest a little bit. And let me tell you, I already cannot wait to read it and spend some more time with Lila and Nathan and to see how will their story develop! Highly recommended!

What happens behind closed doors is a whole another story!
Why three stars...I like a story with my sex and 85% of the book was just sex. The story was intriguing especially at the end with the big cliffhanger! I will be reading the next book to find out what happens.
On a side note- I was not a fan of Nathan's dirty talk which ended up being more like name calling-

Guys, how in the fucking world can you love this book?
This is the worst thing i have read in a VERY long time.
I HATE Breach with a PASSION, and i'm not going to be nice about it so be warned .
So i started this book in July while i was on my vocation, i heard so many fantastic reviews and all my friends seemed to love it. Naturally i had to know what every one was talking and raving about so i bought the book and read it (well, i tried).
BAD.IDEA.
The characters were absolutely disgraceful and i hated them too. Delilah was so cliche and didn't have any self respect. She was PATHETIC. Here's prove...

Can i just say that this is 7% through the book? And we got another lovely example of just how pathetic she is here...

Where do I start?? Good gracious. I’m honestly not sure how I feel about this book. There were so many disturbing moments that I don’t even know how to describe what I felt. It’s not your run of the mill erotica that’s for sure. It was dark and very gritty and at times made my toes curl. I hated everything about Nathan the main character. He was so demeaning and condescending to Lila (the main female character that I wasn't sure I was going to be able to tolerate him. I wanted to put the book down several times but something was telling me, nagging me NOT to give up and keep going. There was something about these characters that seemed to draw me in and keep me captivated. Even in the moments where I cringed I still couldn't stop reading. This is definitely a story about two people with extensive emotional issues. They’re both emotionally tormented by the demons of their past but find some sort of comfort in each other. The problem is that Nathan doesn't want to want Lila. He doesn't want to need her the way he does and that brings out a very aggressive and angry side of him. The relationship is TOXIC!! So freaking TOXIC. It drove me mad. Totally and utterly mad. I was so protective of Lila that I really hurt for her. I got her need for him but that didn't mean I liked it and I certainly didn't love the way he treated her, even though she apparently LOVED it. Nathan and Lila have secrets, dark, intense and soul crushing secrets that they carry around with each other. As the story goes on these are uncovered and you learn a little more about why they are the way they are. It’s crazy.... if I could described this book in three words it would be

It’s well written and definitely worth a read but I did however have several issues with the book. The first was the way Lila submitted to Nathan. I could not get past how turned on she was by his demeaning words and the way he handled her. I mean, yeah it’s okay to like it rough and dirty but for me there were times where Nathan crossed the line. I love when the guy can get nasty with his girl!!! I really love it, but with Nathan there was something so much Darker in it and it bordered on being abusive (IN MY OPINION). I guess I should warn you that the word cock slut, slut and little whore are used FREQUENTLY in sexual situations, which is almost the entire book. That all these characters did was work and have sex, work and have sex. It was a constant cycle of an unhealthy tortured “relationship” by two people with issues. MAJOR FREAKING ISSUES!!
So be warned that this book is NOT for the easily offended. It’s NOT for those that can’t handle a little rough and bruising sex. It’s extremely dark, gritty and raw. There are no pretty bows to tie things up and the ending is a CRAZY cliffhanger!!
BUT
With all that said I still enjoyed it and I would definitely be interested in reading the next book. Call me crazy but I want to know what happens with these characters. I want to know if they can get help and figure themselves out. Is there hope for them? Can they both live a normal life after all the hell they've been put through? My mind is running with questions!! There’s so much I need to find out. I want to forgive Nathan and move past this issue I have with him because I think deep down there is a deeply torture, good man waiting. I want to like him and I’m hoping in the next book Infraction (breach #2) I will.
Overall I would say I have a love/hate relationship with this book. I want to hate it but I can’t ...I just can’t. The writing was great and I think the characters are certainly interesting. It was a 3.5 Stars book for me.

It’s well written and definitely worth a read but I did however have several issues with the book. The first was the way Lila submitted to Nathan. I could not get past how turned on she was by his demeaning words and the way he handled her. I mean, yeah it’s okay to like it rough and dirty but for me there were times where Nathan crossed the line. I love when the guy can get nasty with his girl!!! I really love it, but with Nathan there was something so much Darker in it and it bordered on being abusive (IN MY OPINION). I guess I should warn you that the word cock slut, slut and little whore are used FREQUENTLY in sexual situations, which is almost the entire book. That all these characters did was work and have sex, work and have sex. It was a constant cycle of an unhealthy tortured “relationship” by two people with issues. MAJOR FREAKING ISSUES!!
So be warned that this book is NOT for the easily offended. It’s NOT for those that can’t handle a little rough and bruising sex. It’s extremely dark, gritty and raw. There are no pretty bows to tie things up and the ending is a CRAZY cliffhanger!!
BUT
With all that said I still enjoyed it and I would definitely be interested in reading the next book. Call me crazy but I want to know what happens with these characters. I want to know if they can get help and figure themselves out. Is there hope for them? Can they both live a normal life after all the hell they've been put through? My mind is running with questions!! There’s so much I need to find out. I want to forgive Nathan and move past this issue I have with him because I think deep down there is a deeply torture, good man waiting. I want to like him and I’m hoping in the next book Infraction (breach #2) I will.
Overall I would say I have a love/hate relationship with this book. I want to hate it but I can’t ...I just can’t. The writing was great and I think the characters are certainly interesting. It was a 3.5 Stars book for me.

4.5 I Need Nathan Stars!
Wow, what a great book! I wasn't sure what to expect going into this book. I definitely got a lot more than I bargained for.
Nathan and Delilah are both lawyers. They are stuck in the same office working together. Delilah has very low self worth. She wasn't wanted as a child and was verbally and physically abused. In her mind, she knows a gorgeous man like Nathan could never want someone like her. She is so broken...
I wanted to be part of it, be part of his soul. He was my God, and I worshipped him.

Nathan doesn't want to want Lila but he can't stay away from her. She would be better off never being with him and running the other way, but the thought of not being together isn't something that either of them can handle.
