***Book 3 of a 4 book series***

For the last two months, Brianna has discovered something she never thought she would again. Hope. After the horror of being Ian’s slave for ten months, a fate she never imagined she’d escape, it feels as if she is living a dream. She has freedom she hadn’t expected to have again, and she wakes up every morning not fearing what the day will bring. There is also Stephan. The man who saved her from the daily torture she had to endure at the hands of Ian and his friends. The same man who makes her heart race with just the thought of him. Life is good.

Outside forces are determined to conspire against them, however. When Brianna’s father shows up on her doorstep, it sends her world spiraling out of control. He brings with him new information about how Brianna ended up in Ian’s clutches, but will it make a difference? Will Stephan be able to find a way to make Ian pay for all he made Brianna suffer? As Brianna and Stephan try to find out the truth, their relationship is tested. She is forced to face her past head on, and deal with the ugly reality of what happened to her. Will Stephan’s love be enough to see her through her newest challenge, or will the fragile trust they’ve built come crumbling down around them as the truth makes itself known.

Sherri picked up her first romance novel when she was twelve and immediately she was hooked. She would stay up reading long after everyone else in her house had gone to bed, needing to see the hero and heroine get their happily ever after. But Sherri never imagined becoming an author.

At the age of thirty, all that changed. After getting frustrated with the direction a television show was taking two of its characters, Sherri decided to try her hand at writing an alternative ending to give the characters the happy ending they deserved.

Since then, writing has become a creative outlet that allows her to explore a wide range of emotions, while having fun taking her characters through all the twists and turns she can create. Interesting. It is not what I was speccing, but I liked it. It is different.

I am glad I read this series. Very little happens in each book, and yet it evolves. The developvent goes slowly and in a monotonous way, but this is a good thing. In fact, that sameness, that repetitiveness is what diferenciates it from other books. It gives the series its own personality, you come to expect the routine and it is gratifying.

I can't deny either that I am conflicted morally about the things that go on here. And that feeling of conflicted conscience adds on to the appeal of the story. Is this right or not? Is there really harm?Would it have been better for the parties involved to have follow the current morally accepted society rules? I don't know, it s what it is.

When I saw that this book was finally coming out in July, I was super excited!! I have been waiting for this book for a year. As soon as I begun to read it I was pulled right back into the complex world of Brianna and Stephan. Their story is such a bitter sweet one, that has me behaving as if I know these two people in real life! I am so emotionally invested in their story, that I laugh when they do, and cry when they cry! Sherri Hayes has written a book that has made it impossible not feel some form of empathy for what Brianna has endured and at such a young age to boot. My heart bleeds for her and the trauma she has endured. The only reason for my four star review is because of the cliff hanger at the end. I found myself extremely frustrated that I was going to have to wait again for the next installment. I do know that the book must be good if I am so upset that it is already over! Do I regret reading it, instead of waiting for book #4 as well? Not a chance! The fact is: I adore the "Finding Anna" series, and there would have been no way that I would have been able to wait!!
In book #3 we get to see more interaction with Stephan and Brianna, and even better we get front row seats to some pretty hot sex!! LOL..there are no complaints from me in that department, and it was a pleasure to see Brianna blossom under Stephan's care. She really does have a child like quality to her, and I had to remind myself that she is only 18. She is young, and to top it all off she has had evil and vile things done to her. The strength it takes her to do some of the easiest tasks that we take for granted is so admirable, and even though it is taking her baby steps to heal she is doing all the same. The trust she puts in Stephan is amazing, but he has most definitely earned it!
Stephan has got to be the most patient man in all of the "book world!" He has literally changed his whole life for this woman whom he loves deeply. He spends every minute of each day planning ahead to make life for Brianna go as smoothly as possible. She does not do well with the unexpected, so he spends tons of time trying to prepare her. What a man!! Where can I find a Stephan of my own??!!!
I learned more about what makes Stephan tick this time around. Not only that but I figured out that not only does Brianna rely and need him; he also has a strong need for her in his life too. He does know though, that Brianna needs to stand on her own two feet, she can't live her life joined at his hip..
Of course, nothing is 100% perfect; and some obstacles get put in the way of this beautiful couple. Will love conquer all, or will the ouside forces get in the way of their happiness?
This series is a must read. It is unique, and will have you falling in love with two characters who are special and ones you won't ever forget. This is a romance, but there is so much more to it as well. This series will hold a special place in my heart for all time!

SPOLIER-FREE ARC Review

I could be...rejected for every single subsequent title I request on NetGalley this year...And I Would. Not. Care...Why? Because I read Truth early and nothing, absolutely nothing else matters! Finding Anna is the most crack-a-licious, absorbing, and addictive BDSM romantica series that I'm currently following. I was shouting when I got approved and immediately texting my fellow Stephan/Brianna fan-girlfriends screenshots of my email...That's how bad I wanted it, because that's how much this series f**king Rocks. Thank you so much, TWCS!

In Truth, Stephan is still the controlled and s...*now my eyes are totally glazed over just THINKING about this man*...As I was trying to say :) Stephan is still the controlled and sexy Master, and it's not just in the bedroom. It's 24/7. And it's also in Stephan's interactions with his family and the employees at his non-profit organization. He lives and breathes it and he just IS. I hang on Stephan's every word, even during his conversations with secondary characters. It's a testament to Hayes' skill with characterization.

Holy Hot Hell do things heat up with Stephan and Brianna! Remember the wrecked, traumatized girl that went comatose - literally - at the sight of Stephan's erection, or at his heated stares??? GONE! :) It's a great place to be in their relationship. Brianna now knows she's Stephan's slave, by choice, and he's expanding her boundaries...but he wants and needs to take things further. It's who he is. And you feel that tension just under the surface of this entire book. Brianna is far from emotionally healed, and she may never be after having suffered 10 months of involuntary slavery & sexual torture, but she is getting progressively better with book. 'Truth' Brianna gets disappointed and thinks something's wrong if Stephan doesn't take her every night *grin* And yet, she's so damaged that even the thought of a Brazilian wax causes her fear and anxiety because even that act has been perverted by her former sadistic Master. Some of Stephan and Brianna's closest family and friends are aware of her torture at the hands of Ian, and of Stephan's need for physical sexual sadism. Needless to say, they're horrified by the relationship, especially when it becomes quite clear it's a sexual one. Will Brianna be capable of fully meeting Stephan's needs? Or will simply being with Brianna be enough for him? Or will that leave him feeling incomplete? These are the questions that plagued me and kept me on edge.

Things are further complicated with the appearance of Brianna's father, whom she feels is responsible for her kidnapping, and Stephan's efforts to get her former Master Ian indicted.

All issues are entwined and lead to a shocking conclusion...There I was, initially chastising a character's actions, thinking I had the book ending totally predicted...then *BAM!!*...I should have seen it coming and I LOVED it and where she's taking this series for it's final installment next year. Yes, that's right - Fear not Stephan and Brianna fans - this series is a Quartet. I had a chance to speak with Hayes earlier this month. This is a 4 book series and we will not have to wait as long for it's conclusion. She hopes to publish it by early June 2014, in time for the Reader Author Get Together Con. I think 4 books is the right number. Brianna was such a emotional & physical mess in Slave and her progression in both areas has felt very real and perfectly paced. I'm so happy this series dedicates a majority of its pages to the progression of the relationship with plenty of H/h time. That aspect is what I'm anticipating most in the upcoming conclusion.

My personal history with the Finding Anna series
I first became intrigued with this series when I randomly had breakfast with Hayes at the 2012 Reader Author Get Together. We were among the last stragglers making our way downstairs on the very last morning of the Con...I love BDSM romance - You write it - Awesome! Let's eat and chat! :) We talked about her writing process for Slave and the extensive detail and care that went into some of the scenes. She reached out to people in the BDSM community - sometimes messaging back and forth into the wee hours of the morning - to get the dynamics of even a Dom to Dom conversation in the presence of a slave correct. Remember Stephan's interactions with Ian and Brianna when he was purchasing her? That was the result of one of Hayes' late night convos. Well, I'd heard enough. Aftewards, I totally stalked Hayes into the parking lot after breakfast (but she said it was okay!)...and I had her open her packed luggage to sell me a copy of Slave. It was just one of those situations where you have a gut feeling and you KNOW...'I'm going to love it.' And I've been having a fantastic ride, doing group reads on this series ever since.

5 Stars and Spoiler Free!

Okay, I waited F.O.R.E.V.E.R for Truth… like years! Well, it felt like years. But oh Sherri did not disappoint!

I was told that there was going to be a cliffy and when I heard that I was thinking to myself, do I really want to put myself through that? Umm…. FUCK YES!

So with that said, let’s get the disclaimer out of the way, yes there’s a cliffy. I was okay with it though. I know, crazy right? Look, I’ll be the first person to tell you that I loathe cliffys with a passion, but I’m starting to accept them and they do not bother me as much as long as I’m still happy, which I was.

Truth is book 3 of the Finding Anna Series.

Book 1, Slave review is HERE

Book 2, Need review is HERE

So, Truth leaves RIGHT where Need left off and BAM what an intro and it was just awesome. As I was reading the beginning I was thinking to myself, oh boy, what is going to happen? What is Brianna going to do? What will Stephan do?

My thoughts throughout the read

At 1% I am excited and happy

At 24% I am like, H.E.L.L.O Stephan

At 54% I am crushing on Stephan

At 64% I am just ready push Brianna aside and let Stephan have his way with ME!

At 93% I am ready to make babies with Stephan

At 100% I am doing a **Happy Dance**

Never be afraid to tell me something, Love. It will never change my feelings for you .

OHHH Okay, so it really wasn’t my feelings towards the read as it was my feelings towards Stephan. But geez, he took her to a library after hours… I think I almost fainted when I read that part. Oh and giving her a first edition of her favorite read (mine would be Pride and Prejudice) and anyhow, when I read THAT I think I just collapsed with too much swooning.

All gushing aside, everything in Truth was amped up a notch… with steam, character development, tension and drama. But don’t get this confused with crazy reads, I still find Truth a very nice, easy going story.

Brianna is still coming to terms with what she wants and is trying to understand Stephan’s needs as a Dominate and Stephan is still all for being there for Brianna throughout her many panic attacks.

Okay, so Brianna cries still and she has major panic attacks. I am happy that it’s kind of explained, I mean yes, she was held captive for ten months, but reading Stephan’s thought process on how he felt on the situation really helped me cope with Brianna’s issues.

This was Stephan, and instead of feeling trapped, I felt safe. I could feel him, smell him, surrounding me.

You also get to know a little bit more of Stephan’s past and it kind of shows why he is the way he is (a little, not too much) and really I think it’s a tease on Sherri’s part, but a really good one. I hope book 4 gets more into Stephan’s history.

OH and the steam. Yep, I greatly enjoyed and it’s still mild, but I feel like it’s foreshadowing to what’s to come. I am just ticked with anticipation!

Truth was well worth the wait and overall the Finding Anna series is just a different kind of read that needs to be read.

When I found out this was available from NetGalley and I could finally solve the cliffhanger, I requested it immediately. And had to wait a week to be approved. This is my review.

Obviously don’t read this if you haven’t read Slave and Need. I tried carefully to avoid any Spoilers but I would still recommend caution if you haven’t read Truth just yet.

Stephan,

I know it probably doesn’t seem like it right now but you really should be celebrating. Do you realize what Brianna just did? Take a moment to remember back to that Saturday two months ago. Can you imagine her even thinking of doing something like this back then? She has come a very long way in a very short time and you deserve a lot of the credit.

But, and you probably knew this was coming, I think you really need to take this opportunity to think about Consent.

At the Dinner, you made a pretty good case. Really, you did. But Cal didn’t want to hear it. At least not from you. And he has a point. If Brianna can’t defend your relationship to him then how can you be sure this is what she wants? I know you two have talked but how much of this is really what she wants and how much is it her wanting to please you? Think about that. Because that is definitely what was happening when you sent her to the waxing. And if you don’t believe me, ask Lily. Because they came very close to pulling the plug on the whole thing.

And I have got to say, I am a little confused over something. I thought you were into your basic Play in the Playroom type of relationship. But when you have her kneeling by the door to punish her, that seems way TPE to me, Brother. I do have to give you some props for avoiding the Impact Play because as we saw she is nowhere ready for that.

Anyway, take a breath. Focus. Prioritize. Because I think Brianna is still in a lot of danger and you have got to realize that as well.

We are all counting on you to do the right thing.

Stay strong,

Michael

I have devoured this series. From the moment I read the first page in 'Slave', I haven't been able to quit reading. Stephan and Brianna are quickly becoming one of my favorite couples.

The plot thickens in this book, with Brianna's dad coming out of the woodwork, seemingly determined to reclaim the daughter he threw away. Maybe he thinks he can get more for her the second time around??? A little late for paternal concern if you ask me!

The only reason that this book was a 4 vs. 5 star read for me is that Brianna seems to be getting mentally younger. Maybe it's just me, but she seemed so young mentally and emotionally that the age gap between her and Stephan seemed to grow significantly and I had to keep reminding myself that he wasn't engaging in sex acts with a school aged girl. It kind of weirded me out!

Overall, I'm still captivated by this series. I'll be reading the next book immediately to see how everything ends. I have to say I am bummed that the last book isn't available in Audiobook format. I mostly listened to the other three and really liked the narration.

So, Need ended on a major cliffhanger. Just like Slave did.
It got resolved a little too quickly for my tastes, but somehow it was still believable.

I considered 4 stars, like the previous two, but Truth just wasn't on the same level for me.

Regardless, I still enjoyed it a lot and will conclude the series with Trust

It ended on a cliffhanger again, but this time I was prepared.

4 MORE DAYS ... 4 MORE DAYS !!!!!!!

I CAN NOT WAIT FOR THIS BOOK

I have so many feels after finishing this book! Oh, Stephan! Just when Brianna starts to recover from her traumatic time with Ian Pierce, so many obstacles get put in your way. This third book in the series starts right where Need ended - but to say more would be a spoiler. This series just gets better and better. I can't wait for the next - final - installment.

Another 10 perfect stars from me!!!!!

Stephan...*sigh*, he's the most adorable-patient-loveable male character in books, and I adored him so f***ing much, can't get enough of him!

This book is deeply madly consuming! And I think I'm going to need my "SANITY" while waiting the 4th installment! Damn!

This is not a typical BDSM story.

"I couldn't imagine my life without her..."

"She was what was important. She was always what was important. Her needs had to come first, and tonight, she needed to forget about everything."

"I leaned over and spoke softly in her ear. “I’m fine, sweetheart. I promise. Relax and enjoy your meal.”

She nodded, and I could tell she was trying to obey. Lifting her hand, I placed a kiss on her knuckles before releasing my hold and going back to my food. I didn’t want her worrying about me. I really was fine.

I dunno how to describe the love they shared, the feeling they feel, or the love that nobody around them understood.
How can Brianna not love him for taking care of her, with all his patience?

It's always warmed my heart every time Brianna finding a peace and a piece of heaven in Stephan's arms, but in the other hand, it's break my heart thinking, how fragile the love they shared...how easy people around them tore them apart!

Still in a "subspace"....let pictures describe my feelings after finishing the book

I'm not sure how many books there are going to be in this series but these cliffhangers are starting to kill me.

I just want a HEA for Stephan and Brianna. So much tragedy and heartbreak, let them find the love and happiness they both deserve.

The book starts off from the last cliffhanger and starts the ball rolling for how things proceed.

Right away Brianna goes back into herself but with the love and unconditional support of Stephan Brianna finally starts to come back to present reality.

Dear God! Stephan may have a bad reputation with people not understanding his lifestyle or choices but he is a friggin' saint when it comes to Brianna. His love, loyalty and protection towards Brianna is inspiring and beautiful.

Stephan is a known dominant and he wants to bring Brianna into his world but it is a little too soon but will there love be enough to survive if she can't be what he wants her to be?

It's just too bad that Brianna can't see what is right in front of her and let go of her horrible past. She makes waves at getting better with making friends and getting stronger but her past and self doubt leave her to put a wall up and shut out Stephan. This leads her to make the worst mistake ever but we won't find out for sure until the next friggin' book. Why Sherri why do you like to torture us??????

I love this series. It is a beautiful love story in an unconventional world.

THIS IS A FABULOUS READ!

I was waiting for the third book in this series for what felt like forever! I fell in love with Slave and Need ( the first two books in the series) and I devoured Anna and Stephan's Story. My heart was breaking for Anna in books one and two for all she had been through and all that she lost. Those books touched me so much that I carried Anna's story in my head for months after reading the books.

Truth continues Anna's journey and is just as amazing as Need and Slave.
I was blown away by how deeply both Anna and Stephan fell for each other.
It is like they need each other to breathe. It is a beautiful continuation of an amazing love story. This book is so beautifully written that you fall into Anna's story and want to see her healed and whole.

Stephan is so wonderful, patient, and loving that you can't help but fall in love with him yourself. Truth gives you everything this story needs: courage, friendship, love and strength. It is a wonderful journey that will tug at your heart strings.

The ending is a little rough and you will cry. I believe that in book four we will get the Happily-Ever-After we all want for Anna and Stephan. I hope we will also see justice for Anna!

I love the book, It is worth every tear I shed reading It. It is truly touching read and I can not wait for book four.

Warning: Don't read unless you read book 1 and 2. Also very mild spoilers without tags.

Since I joined Goodreads after reading book 1 and 2 there’s no review of them yet, but let me say this. I actually liked the first book and the second one was okay as well, although I had some mixed feelings there.

Now here’s book 3 and I don’t know what happened but I struggled a lot with this one.

My biggest issue was definitely the portrayal of Brianna. While I understand where her demeanor comes from, I seem to lack the patience to put up with it. I think there wasn’t a single chapter where she didn’t cry or tear up, sometimes she cried multiple times in one chapter. Now, would it only be after flashbacks or similar situation, I might even be able to deal with it but that wasn’t the case. She cried about everything from sympathy for families that Stephen’s foundation worked with to not wanting to hurt Stephen by stomping on his foot in a self-defense lesson.

To be honest, I can’t quite remember if that already bothered me so much in book 1 and 2 or if that’s a new development after reading many books with outspoken and active women as main characters. But the fact stays, Anna is definitely not my type of main character in this book. I actually have to add one more thing which 19 year old doesn't know what a stripper is? She was held by Ian for 10 months, not ten years - I was seriously baffled after reading that; maybe it's just me though.

I had similar issues with Stephen’s actions, although that already started in book 2. He treats Anna like a child not a woman which is really a shame since they actually have an adult relationship. He’s at times so overbearing that it overwhelms me only reading about it. Again, I understand why he might act that way but that doesn’t mean that I deal with it well. I’m not even sure what else to say about their relationship as this is what stands out most to me.

They make some progress together, Anna on her on though… she starts to grow completely dependent on Stephen and I wouldn’t say that this is a positive development. Maybe that’ll change in book 4 though – who knows.

This series has a very promising story line but I felt like the potential was never fully reached. While daily activities were combed through in every detail, other things were too hurried. In fact the plot revolving around her father acts merely as a catalyst while it could be so much more. Furthermore things like the tension between Stephen in his uncle almost seem like they were added just for drama’s sake without further background, at least that’s how I see it.

In my opinion this series could’ve ended with book 3 as things could’ve been left out without compromising the story and the story line could’ve easily been finished up – in other words, the story moved way too slow for my tastes.

I’m sorry that I don’t have more positive things to say, especially considering that I liked the start of the series but those are my feelings and thoughts which I can’t change.

First I have to give a huge THANK YOU to The Writer's Coffee Shop for sending me an ARC copy of Truth and for allowing me to be on this EPIC blog tour for Truth. I have to start this review off by saying this series is off the hook! I have never ever wanted to read a book and then re-read it again until the next book came out. This is how this series is. I mean you can't get enough. There is so much happening to Brianna that you heart just breaks for her and you want to reach in the book and help her. Stephan OMG Stephan is an enigma because he is a Dominant but when he meets Brianna and takes her under his wing he is so different with her. He wants her to feel safe and secure and most of all he wants her to open up and be normal.

In Truth I cried and I laughed and I screamed because so many things were going on that I just could not wrap my head around it. Brianna has finally seen that there is hope at the end of the tunnel and she has lived with this very new idea for two months. After being Ian's slave for ten months she was broken and thought she was not worth anything but Stephan changes all that for her. He dares her to dream and think outside the box because she is so much more than what Ian did to her. Stephan makes her feel safe and secure and when she wakes in the morning she never has to worry about getting a beaten or tortured or raped or any of that because Stephan has given her so many freedoms.

As things are looking up Brianna is once again thrown under the bus and to the wolves with the arrival of her father. He shows up and has information about how she became a slave to Ian. This sets both Brianna and Stephan off on a journey to find out the truth about Ian and what really happened to Brianna. Stephan reassures Brianna at every turn that he is not going to leave her but at times things she uncovers is so overwhelming she is not sure if she will survive it let alone asking Stephan to endure it. But Stephan is determined now more than ever to make Ian pay for what he did to Brianna because Stephan loves her and wants to be with her forever and is willing to do whatever it takes to make things right.

The ending to Truth was just plain and simply put downright CRUEL!!!!!!!!!! I mean a dam cliffhanger to drive you nuts and the thing is the last book and yes I said the last book does not come out until 2014 sometime. Man Sherri that is just cruel but that is okay because I bought all three books on audible and I will replay them all until book four comes out.

It has been quite a journey for Brianna. After Stephan had rescued her from sex slavery and helping her heal, it is in this book that you truly see Brianna’s progress. She had transitioned from being helpless to making decisions on her own. If you’ve read Slave and Need, you know her past had truly broken this young girl physically and mentally. While my heart broke for her then, it is now empowered and cheering her on to finally live her life.

Stephan on the other hand, well, I think he’s experiencing quite the opposite. Being a twenty-four year old billionaire and a dom, he’s found himself in an unfamiliar situation. He has fallen and has lost control of the situation around him. If you remember at the end of the last book, Brianna’s father is back in her life causing chaos. Poor Stephan is out of sorts trying to do his best to protect Brianna. But by the end of this book it will be Brianna trying to protect Stephan. There seems to be a role switch coming on , and I’m betting Brianna will end up stronger than Stephan in the end.

Yes, it is not over yet. The additional installment of this series was definitely a surprise. It is bitter sweet that we don’t get the happy-ever-after as expected , but it only means we get more of Brianna and Stephan’s story. I have to say though that this book is not for the faint of heart. It does contain steamy sex scenes, including leashing and bondage. The story did lack the nail-biting element that we usually see in Ms. Hayes’ books , but it didn’t prevent me from fully enjoying this novel. In fact, I have been fascinated with Brianna’s story from the start making me emotionally invested in the series.

I am excited to get to the next and final installment of this series. And I have no doubt that it will be a well deserved happy ending for Brianna and Stephan.

Once again the queen of cliff hangers sucked me in and left me in tears. Sherri wrote a masterpiece with this one. Just when you think Brianna and Stephan are going to have their happy ever after, reality and outside forces strike and set them back again. Brianna is getting her strength back, she is facing life and issues with a new sense of strength that Stephan has trying to help her find.

They finally were able to share their feelings with each other and realize what they can give in this relationship. I was falling in love with Stephan all over again. The scenes in the chair where Brianna can curl up in his lap and they talk just melts my heart every time. His constant thought of what would be best for her in every situation just makes him become more a hero to me with each page.

I was so proud of Brianna for the strength she was showing, how she was trying to do things for Stephan now not because she was afraid of punishment but because she realized she loved him. She faced her father, which I may add should win the devil award, and she overcame her fears yet once again. With each day she is finding comfort in her own skin, then she is faced with the choice that frightens her the most. Does she leave and save Stephan from consequences she is afraid that will devastate him or does she stay and fight the battle with him? Either choice is a huge risk for her and once again she has learned to follow her heart.

I don’t think I have ever read a book over 300 pages so quickly. I didn’t read it, I inhaled it like a starving woman. As I read the last sentence I was already sobbing and wanting to hunt Sherri down and smack her for once again earning the title cliff hanger queen. Needless to say I am already counting the days till Spring 2014 so maybe my couple who have taken my heart will find their happy ending. I know I will be praying that the next book will bring that, but then there is the sadness that knowing the next book could be the end of this series. No matter what, Brianna and Stephan will always hold a special place in my heart.

A BIG THANKS TO THE PUBLISHERS, THE WRITER’S COFFEE SHOP FOR AN ADVANCE READER COPY OF TRUTH BY SHERRI HAYES.

Exceptional, Enthralling, thought- provoking, soul gripping and shockingly intense! Truth by Sherri Hayes is another ACE and I was one of the lucky ones who got an ARC.

WOW! What a story. I’ve always had mixed feelings every time I re- visit this complicated world, yet I can seem to help myself. In this storyline Hayes has woven, things aren’t simply just BLACK OR WHITE, I’d say there are loads of GREY area and if you aren’t careful, you’d begin to wonder why you are reading this. However rest assured that this series always helps people understand the complexity of human nature.
It all started when Stephan bought Brianna… now, now it’s not what you’d think… NOT by a long shot, He’d helped her and then fell in love with her. She‘d been a Slave, hence the first book in the series. As the series progressed into the second book in the series Need, We saw Anna and Stephan’s journey. Off course… Brianna was pretty messed up! People would see Stephan’s affections as manipulative at best and sick at worst, but like I’d said open mindedness is the key. The end of Need left us fans on the edge of our seats…

Truth started intense… it was gripping and it had an additive quality to it from start to finish. In this continuation, Brianna had acquired strength we didn’t think she’d had, yet she is still broken. All I know is that readers will not be disappointed. Secrets were spilled, hearts were broken and our worst fears were realized! I loved every time spent reading the book, every moment every fantasy and then some! And I cannot WAIT until the fourth and final book in the Finding Anna Series!

5 'Protector' Stars
Because nobody protected my emotions from this book!

I'm going to start w/ALL the Negative:
1. Found this on the last page
Look for final installment in Stephan and Brianna's story coming 2014.
2. Seriously wait until 93% to plant the waterwork scene then fade to black.
3. Why am I cradling my reader like a child?
4. Why???
5. Why????

No spoilers here because nobody gave me any. Yeah, I'm that spiteful.
This book is the 3rd installment in Finding Anna. Brianna/Anna is working on rebuilding a life for herself w/the help of Stephan. Brianna being less afraid and exploring a feelings for Stephan. It's only been 3 mos since coming out of her ordeal and she has a lot of child-like thought processes. Never once did I roll my eyes.
I felt that everything appeared appropriate and relative to her situation and absolutely not rushed.
The question that is continually challenged throughout all the books is wouldn't she have been better of in therapy?
Me:Nope! Maybe once she has gotten over her other anxieties.
I liked how they continued to address the issue of negative connotations related to BDSM. BDSM=Abused. Makes you remember that society can still be that narrow minded.

Be still my heart...
Truth picks up right where Need left off, yup, at that cliffy that had me gasping for air. Well, at the end of Need I was addicted to the Finding Anna series, well I passed that level and now I'm a slave to my Kindle. It has me bound, and helpless to get anything productive accomplished in my life. I can't put it down!!!! The relationship between Stephan & Brianna continues to get stronger, but the obstacles and danger do too! I'd love to stay and chat, but I have a very important date with the next book in the series, Trust. My heart is pounding in my chest and I NEED to know how this beautiful, heartbreaking story turns out...❤️

The previous book ended with Brianna's father knocking at her door and her opening it. This one continues on from that point.

Brianna has come so far with Stephan helping her get over the trauma of being a sex slave to a sadistic master only to have her father show up and want to bring her home with him. But. Is he the one who sold her to the sex trafficker in the first place. And why does he want her to return home with him? Will the "Truth" be known?

I've been looking forward to this book as while Brianna is healing and starting to evolve, the person responsible for her putting her in that position in the first place has never been brought to justice. I'm a little vindictive that way. lol.

For the most part this book was a continuing story about the core relationship between Stephan and Brianna. As they've crossed into a BDSM relationship and Brianna has accepted Stephan as her "Sir" the play scenes do have the heat I love reading but without any extreme elements or such. Brianna is just not ready for that which I agree with. I'm just not sure I agree with the quantity of play scenes that play out in this book between the two. Guess it'll be up to each person who reads this one to decide on themselves. For me though I'm starting to think a professional should be brought in as a consult.

What's different about this book though is that there are demons in Stephan's closet that are revealed that were just glossed over in the prior books. Loved that as it just seemed that Stephan was too perfect and in control at all times. To see this part of him worked to humanize him.

As to the secondary character. There is definitely more interaction from them especially Cal Ross. I did appreciate that as it was beginning to concern me that Brianna was isolated (by choice) from the outside world and that bothered me. But. Times are a changing. Indeed.

This is NOT a book that can be read as a standalone. It may be a trigger for those who have a history of sexual abuse or are survivors so beware of that if that is an issue. For those of you who want to read an indepth series about the fictional journey of a victim of sex trade trafficking this author has captured the ups and downs in a very realistic manner.

Waited really long for this book, so very happy to finally get my paws on it, but I feel kind of let down…

The main reason why I _loved_ this book was Stephan. I don’t think anybody would have been better for Brianna than he has been. He is only human and made a few small mistakes, like forcing issues when she wasn’t ready (the wax, watching Logan & Lily). Got to give him props for his amazing self-restraint! He is really a gentleman Dom.. my fav kind of man. Loved the way he always knew what was going on with Brianna emotionally and made her talk about and overcome her fears. Loved the way he acted around her physically… constantly touching her, rubbing her hair, lifting her chin to look into her eyes, all those little moves. Loved the mellow level of TPE in the book… that’s something I can totally live with. Loved the way that he also makes mistakes and has fears. Missed his kinky and more sexual side, but I understand why he held back.

Brianna was a brave character… she has grown so much in the last 3 months since she has been saved by Stephan. Well done for opening your mouth and defending Stephan when Cal started attacking the relationship. Her character was written well.. it felt like I was inside her head sometimes.

Okay, I have to be honest.. there was some parts that made me roll my eyes (and I’ll take the punishment for that). The scene where Brianna into light subspace… sorry, not believable at all. The part was where Cal found out that Stephan is a Dominant… he knew about Stephan’s past with previous woman (subs), but then he suddenly doesn’t even know the meaning of the words ‘Dominant’ and ‘BDSM’ and goes on a rant about how he beats woman. Grrrr… I wanted to slap him silly. It felt like the author tried really hard to squeeze in and explain terms like that, but it just didn’t convincing to me in the story. Sorry :(

The ending was way too sudden. I am not sure if there’s a 4th book?? If not, it’s a real pity. I am dying to read an Epilogue of a few years down the line and see Stephan reveal his real Dominant nature without having to hold back so much. Please Brianna… hold on to that collar… you won’t only break Stephan’s heart.. but mine too, if you take that of :(

The author has a unique writing style that takes me a few pages to get into, but after a few pages, I can’t stop reading.
Truth starts exactly were Need left off. I don’t want to say much about the cliffy in Need in case anyone who has not read it. However, I loved that we start exactly where we left off. I was worried that the author was going to do a “3 months later.”
In Truth, we see how Brianna has progressed since Stephan saved her from Ian, her capturer, 3 months before. Brianna and Stephan’s relationship is continuing, but there are still many obstacles that Brianna still has to overcome.

“Losing my parents paled in comparison to what the woman in front of me had lived through, yet she never gave up, never stopped trying.”

Characters: Stephan still protects Brianna by always reassuring her that she is safe now that she is with him. Brianna is getting stronger every day, but some days are still worse than others. She still hears those voices of her captures. Stephan, a Dom, is patient with Brianna, but at times, I worried what he will do if she is never really ready to “practice” his lifestyle.

Positives: The story is unique. I have never read a story like this before where a girl is bought from “torture.” The other thing that that I love about this story is that I honestly don’t know what is going to happen to these characters. The intimate scenes between Brianna are very enduring.

Negatives: I thought that at book #3 Brianna would have progressed a little more than she had. However, it has only been three months since she has been away from Ian’s torture. Stephan sometimes talks to Brianna like a child. Maybe that is the “Dom” talking to his “Sub.”

Bottom line: I hope we do not have to wait another whole year before book #4 comes out. OMG, the cliffhanger!!! I can’t wait for that sequel. Sherri Hayes has a great story here.

Book Format: A copy was provided by The Writer's Coffee Shop Publishing House via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you.

What is the truth? Can Anna handle the Truth? In the third book in Finding Anna series, Anna's father, John, shows up to claim his daughter. This is the father who sold her to the sadist Ian. Suddenly, he waltzes in and wants to take his daughter back? He wants to protect her now? I don't think so. Stephan feels exactly the same.

There are some interesting questions posed in this story. Exactly what happened for Ian to take possession of Anna? Is the reader to believe John's side of the story? Or what Stephan's pieced together? This title is aptly named as the Truth is not fully revealed and everyone is trying to find it. There are facts presented, yet there are too many missing pieces which leaves the truth up for interpretation.

While Stephan is trying to protect Anna and help her acclimate to life outside of slavery, he's being hit from multiple fronts. The fear and misconceptions of BDSM in this story is the most aggravating part in this book. What's sad is that it's an accurate portrayal of reality and people's judgmental opinions. Stephan's uncle as well as Anna's friend, Ross, both demonstrate the narrow-minded arrogance those in the lifestyle face from friends and family. Ms. Hayes does a good job of capturing how those against BDSM would try to push their agenda upon others.

There is little BDSM play in this book. Instead the reader is treated to a healing Anna. Her curiosity pushes her to explore and ask questions. She's not ready yet, but there is hope for Stephan. Will Anna emerge from her cocoon to become a beautiful kinky butterfly? Perhaps.

While some questions are answered; new issues arise. This tale is the build up for the final installment. This tale does spice up the romance and prepares the reader for the final showdown. This light BDSM romance is recommended as a Gateway to BDSM book.

I waited on pins and needles for this book. A whole year of wondering what was going to happen with Brianna's father in that doorway. I started reading as soon as it downloaded to my kindle and I finished less than 48 hours later.

First let me say that Hayes's writing is excellent and the story and characters are wonderful. I love this series.

However, this installment of the story felt slower. I wanted Brianna's character to progress more, at least beyond her and Stephan's relationship. I wondered about professional help for her, I wondered about her continued isolation and I wondered if her dependance on Stephan was healthy. Then I realized I should be asking those questions, the writing demands it. We only get Stephan and Brianna's thoughts, and Stephan being a Dominant is not asking for input from anyone on how best to help Brianna.

This is complicated by a host of other character: Her father, the guy just doesn't get it; Cal, who cares but doesn't understand and doesn't know how to try; and the Uncle and the lawyer who can't see the emotional connection between the characters. The female relationship with Lilly and Jade are very consistent and enlightening. It say's a-lot that the women can empathize and support without judgements or control when the men cannot.

My only issue with the book, and it is a big issue. I have to wait another year, okay almost a year, with another cliff hanger. I spent twenty four hours emotionally rung out over the last chapter and hashing out what might happen with these characters in the next book. I finally had to start another book to get my brain out of its funk.
