Return of the Prince - an illustrated, Cinderella inspired, Medieval Romance!. Resigned to her lonely fate, Eloise risks her life to rescue a man left for dead by enemy soldiers. Destrian turns out to be a little more than she bargained for, his presence awakening dangerous desires and inspiring dreams that could change her life--and the course of a Kingdom--forever. . Return of the Prince is a tale from The Three Kingdoms, a fantasy Medieval setting. It is the first of three books I have planned in this series with Rise of the Queen coming later in 2018 and Revenge of the Baron in early 2019. Return of the Prince began its life as a much-loved fan fiction story. One of the fun things that fan fiction authors like to do is provide illustrations for our stories. I felt quite saddened when I realised I would not be able to share the lovely images I had found to illustrate this story. But then I discovered it is possible to include colour images in eBooks. These images are converted to black and white if you read on a Kindle, but for tablets, phones, or reading on your computer, you can enjoy the full colour effect. Naturally, I could not include images taken from movies or of famous actors, but I was able to find many wonderful pictures from both free and paid stock image sites to help bring the story to life. A few of the images depict characters from the story, but they are not necessarily exact representations. I included them to give a little added inspiration for the story and, hopefully, for your enjoyment. Warmest regards, Elise de Sallier . Rating: This story was written with a mature readership in mind and includes scenes depicting sexual relationships between consenting adults. It contains a little bit of angst, as my young couple must overcome quite a number of obstacles in their path. But, as with all my stories, I guarantee a 'Happily Ever After' ending. . Cover: Return of the Prince's beautiful cover was designed by Diane Lynne of DLR designs. You can see more of her wonderful covers at dlr-designs.deviantart.com
Elise began her lifelong obsession with the romance and paranormal genres when she was far too young to be reading either. After more than thirty years of marriage to her very own romantic hero, she now knows great relationships don't just happen, they take work . . . which doesn't mean writing about them can't be a whole lot of fun!
Elise likes to see her characters grow, experience passion and adventure, tackle some difficult issues, and find lasting love . . . eventually.
If you loved Cinderella as a child you would love this grown up version. What started out as a fanfiction story has been converted with name changes an I actually liked it better this way. Eloise rescues the prince and there are many twists and turns to this interesting fairy tale. No fairy godmother, magic, pumkins or glass slippers. There is a lot of steamy love . Strictly for adults. Not the Disney version but a must read! Another Elise classic tale.
This book took me back to the wonder and thrill I got years ago, as a kid, when stories were new and fantasy was real. I enjoyed every bit of this Cinderella story, not least the brilliant way the author has moulded the original elements into a completely new story. It has everything... adventure, drama, romance, royal balls, friends, allies, unexpected betrayals... and kept me in a state of anxious expectation to see what would happen next. The pictures that have been used to illustrate the book give it an added charm, and I am so eagerly looking forward to the next stories in the series.
Return of the Prince is the first book in "The Three Kingdoms Series".. I love the way Elise writes, her style is sorta old- school but in a good way.I think kinda like the way Anne Rice writes, but of course not in the same genre . I had the pleasure of reading this book before it's release, and I wasn't disappointed. One of the things that made this book different was the illustrations, its been a long time since I've seen that ..Cant wait to see what's next💓🙌.. There's also review/Interview I did on cloemichealsreads.wordpress.com - if you want to read more about this author
A fun take on the old Cinderella story. I enjoyed the romantic moments and intrigue, and I liked the twist on the story of the couple meeting each other before the ball.
