"Royalty is a dirty game." That's what he'd once told her, but she couldn't imagine how dirty it could really get. Blessed now more than ever, Marie's love for Mazen continues to grow, and with it, her worries and doubts, as well. Just as they think that all of the past drama could be left behind, an enemy starts plotting revenge and ways to break them apart, forcing Marie into facing her worst fears. With everything around her threatening her happiness, along with the well-being of the ones she loves the most, is there a limit to what Marie will do to protect them from certain danger? There might be none. Because when it comes to love, pain can be bearable and chains become breakable.

I loved the conclusion to this series. The best kinds of happily ever afters don't show lovers riding into the sunset--they show what it means to carry someone, and to be carried, through the vicissitudes of life. In this third installment of The Colorblind Series, Marie and Mazen fight for their own dreams while bearing the weight and responsibility of caring for their people. Now fully installed as King and Queen, ruling has brought new challenges.

This book ushers Marie and Mazen into a new phase of life. Halcyon honeymoon days have passed and graver concerns set in. Yet, adversity makes way for a deeper, more meaningful kind of love. I'm sad to see this series go, as I have been following it for many years. The ending was worth the wait.

I would’ve given it 5 stars, but I wasn’t in love with the ending. It wasn’t bad per say, but it felt a little rushed. It was also a bit of a let down after becoming so heavily invested with Mazen and Marie.

I really thought that the book is a 5 star story.....but let me fill you in on what pulls this down....almost NONE Of which should prevent you from picking up this book or this series. The first thing that strikes you is that it almost is as if the story was written in another language, and then translated to english. It is possible that the author speaks another language fluently, and tried to write this in English - but has that simple grammar when one doesn't speak a language as a first language. It is noticeable, that is why i mention it. The numerous tense, or grammatical issues can detract, for sure...this book could sorely use a better editor. Another thing about this book that detracts is that the writer uses vehicles of other writers in her style, and this is not always to her benefit. For one thing - like saying things at the end of a chapter like - and i couldn't have ever been more wrong...or I never saw him again....those vehicles don't feel natural to this author because of the aforementioned grammatical/non original english language issues.

Lets talk a bit about the positive. This book does go down several rabbit holes it shouldn't that aren't part of the main story line, and are sometimes silly to even put in the book. I can only say in the positive that those things build a true characterization of the main characters. The story, the story the story - can't put it down. That is what makes this a really really good book in it's pull. A definite read not only for the cultural differences and the learning potential, but also because the story lines are excellent.

Oh my goodness when I thought the trilogy couldn’t get better Rose has gone and blown me completely away. This is without a doubt my favourite book I’ve read and I read a lot of books.
It’s left me completely emotional and speechless in the best way. I don’t want to leave spoilers but it has a very big twist that I didn’t see coming it has everything from romance to angst that’ll keep you on the edge of your seat throughout. The very delicate issues have been written with so much thought and research it’s truly heartwarming. I’m so excited to see more from this talented author! If I could give this more stars I would. Absolute perfection. Don’t miss out on this amazing journey into Rose’s world.

Marie is so strong and so different from when we are first introduced to her. She’s grown in her love for Mazen and her people. But the dangers of being royalty are real and the suspicions are hard to deal with. At the end of the day Mazen and Marie know what are most important.

What is next....

Very good book/series I have enjoyed each book in this 3 books series. Makes we hungry for the next books. Very well written, the books just drew me in as I was actually in the book. Loved the twist and the fight both inner and the chapters of the fights.

This was a great series from the first page of the first book to the last page in the third. The love story had many twists and turns and the ending was great.

I love this trilogy. But secretly want to marry a Sheik or Arabian Prince so no judgement!
I enjoyed the last book in the trilogy but still don't know how I felt about the ending. Not that it didn't end well but.....I just don't know if it was what my heart desires after all they had been through.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ GOLDEN STARS

Life goes on. It really does. You go through things that you’d never thought would happen. You cry, you break … and life around you still goes on.

Ahh.. This book! Where do I begin? Definitely one of best stories I have ever read. I'm sure I'll be rereading the trilogy real soon. I love it. I loved it SFM.

Oh Mazen... I want someone like you 😍
“You’re strong because of you. Not because of me. Let the strength grow from inside you, not because of who’s standing next to you. I know you can do it. You’re so much stronger than you think you are. With or without me.”

And Marie, one of the bravest woman/heroine I know! So proud of her.
“I took pride in who I’d married, and it wasn’t because he was a King. No, it was because I was married to the most compassionate and caring person I’d ever met.”

Good lawd! Watta rollercoaster ride it has been. It's got the good and the bad. I'd like to think that love will always win in the end. Love. Love! LOVE.

❤❤❤❤❤
Cold Fire (Mazen POV) Coming 2019
I've only ever wished for 2018 to come ASAP, now that there's a book with Mazen's POV, I couldn't wait for 2019! Why does it have to take that long? 😢

Ok. Um. Wow. I can not believe that it's over. Just. Like. That. In the blink of an eye 😭 I WILL MISS MY BABIES SO FREAKING MUCH 😭
Every single time I get my hands on a new book by you Rose I think that can it get better then the previous one? Can I possibly love it more then the last book? And I think probably not.
But you prove me wrong every single time. And how thankful I am for that ❤
I loved the plot of this book in this series the most. I loved how the story just flowed on those pages so effortlessly I am speechless, still.
The suspense, the horror, the pain, everything was so REAL. I felt it in my heart . Mazen and Marie's feeling were my feelings.
If you were in front of me I would definitely give you a standing ovation and clap like a mad woman and then hug the shit outta you for being such a brilliant person! ❤
I loved it Rose, so much! This is one of your best work yet. ❤
I LOVE YOU!
P.S. The acknowledgment at the end makes me cry every single time. ❤ I LOVE YOU! SO MUCH!!!!!

I think this has to be the best of the three. Marie is certainly set on getting traditions changed and helping the women in the country. She finally gets pregnant and wow, what a way for Mazen to announce it. Makes you wish you could live such a life of luxury for just a little while. When troubles take Marie away- you just can't imagine the horror she must feel when she learns the truth about so much betrayal and treachery. My heart broke for them both to lose so many loved ones. In the end, the final pages were great to wrap things up and have people happy. It is good to see that people can love each other for long and still feel passion for one another. I am sure that Adam's story will come up soon if it isn't already in the works. This is a great love story set in the Arab/Muslim world filled with insights into their beliefs and traditions.

I was anxious to read this third novel in the trilogy. It was very good, but I thought not as exciting as the first one. Lots of suspense and terror in this one for the royals.

Although the ending was satisfactory and made sense for Mazen and Marie, I was still a bit surprised at the decisions that they made when they were such a strong and dynamic couple. The ending seemed rushed to me as well.

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed all three of these books in the trilogy. Such character development with Marie to see how she changed over time, Mazen - wow! what an amazing man - I really felt that I knew him after the way he was described by the author and lastly, the cultural differences were so interesting to discover. A little teaser at the end that hints that Mashal may continue this series in the future with some other royal members of the family.

I can't believe that the trilogy has come to its end! And what an end it was. Rose kept me on my toes and biting my nails especially in the last chapters which had a twist I did not see coming, or more or less I expected that some kind of angst is once more going to reach our happy couple, but I had no idea who was behind it all. There were many very sweet moments between our main characters that I've started to love through Rose's writing but I love the most how she is able to intertwine religion and awareness of sensitive issues to a love story. The only critical comment I have about book three is that the meeting between siblings, Marie and Joseph, felt rushed, but perhaps we'll be able to read more about it in the next book about Janna & Joseph and I really really can't wait for that!

After a year of waiting the final chapter in Marie and Mazen's story is here, and it is well worth the wait. Rose has always put so much depth in her characters, and this book is no exception. Ever since I read Black Keys has a story drawn me into the emotions and lives of the character as this story has. Reading Golden Chains had me laughing, crying and fighting right along with Marie and Mazen as they do what they can to keep not only their home, but their family safe from an unexpected enemy. I loved not just this book but the whole series and look forward to reading more from Rose.

This was probably the least interesting book for me, the twists were very predictable. Specially when you see a person like Queen shams behave odd at times, it means either its a twin story or a split-personality story. None the less, I liked the bond that Rosanna and Marie shared and enjoy their friendship, as well as Mazen and Marie's relationship. In some parts of the book its very evident that this is inspired from a fan fiction because the scene's with usual day to day life are little longer and dragged in my opinion.

All in all a good read.

Wonderful series

When I first started this series I thought maybe it was not for me but the more I read the more I got hooked. When I finished book one started book two right away, same with book two, started book three. I have to say this series was wonderful. Loved the little twisted at the end.

I read all three of the books and couldn't get enough of the people in the story. The author was exceptional and helping the reader feel connected to the characters.

Marie was able to push the new law to prevent castration and ritual of proving the women was a virgin. Mazen believed his mother has changed, he asked Marie to reconder making amends with her. Marie continued to put her life in danger by going out with less body guards than the recommended number. This caused many disagreements between her and Mazen. Finding who caused the death of the unborn children of Marie and his sister-in-law, Mazen struggled mentally because he blamed himself because he should have been more protective of his wife from his Cousin (the woman his mother wanted him to marry) who was the person poisoning the water and food of both of the women so they would lo0se their babies. He felt Marie was being jealous due to his past relationship with his cousin. Mazen mother was still up to her evilness when she had Marie kidnapped so she could have her killed. she was still up set because Mazen married Marie instead of her niece. The plan was having power ruling the kingdom through her family.
My dislike of this book was Marie being too immature in most situations. She was about getting her own way without thinking of the consequences the situation would cause.

Marie learns about new things in her world and as Queen she sets her mind on trying to change the laws to better protect woman in her Kingdom. But as her husband has told her before Royalty is a dirty game and her Majesty is about to find out how dirty it really is by the last people she expects it from.

What i liked best about Golden Chains was watching Her Majesty try to better the world around her, to make life the happiest it can be, when things start to look up for her, things come crashing down again and she does what she does best and that is to stay strong no matter what she is put through, even if she thinks it will kill her in the end.

another great book by Rose Mashal and I can not wait to read the next book as I want to read more about Mazen and Marie and see where their lives will go from here. She finally got her wish that she has been wanting for years with her husband.

It's been over 3 years since I've read the second book in this series, but this is a series that stays with you long after you've read it. I had no problems following along with the story or even remembering any of the characters that I fell in love with or disliked. I loved Mazen and Marie even more in this story. Mazen had a heart of gold and although Marie had the best intentions for everyone there were times I wanted her to have several seats. However, Mazen was always so supportive and that made me love him more and more. His character alone had me devouring this book and this is not a short story. I think I loved this story even more since it's unlike any story I have ever read before. This story was full of threats, betrayal, revenge, death, moments that will have you smiling, unexpected surprises and so much more. I definitely look forward to reading Janna and Joseph's story along with more books from this author.

I first got the first book in this trilogy as a freebie off Book Bub and wasn’t sure when I first started it if I would like it (though the write up intrigued me). Even as I began the book I had some lingering doubts just the way the main character talked. She was racist...but that was at the beginning. As I got deeper into the book, there was a change/growth to the main character. There was a message to it as well. It drew me in and, once I finished the first book, I quickly bought and downloaded the other two and finished them both in two days. I really was drawn into the story and the characters’ lives. This trilogy has many sides to it: mystery, intrigue, betrayal, lessons learned and lots of romance. For what I thought would be a quick hit, this book was enjoyable and memorable. The only thing that would make it better Is if there were more books in this series!

A love story

Reading is a joy. Although, I don't normally read a series, I did get totally immersed into the story of Marie and Masen. They were thrown together and married. Both witnessed many betrayals and losses. But they found each other. This series was written only in Marie's voice telling their story. It was rich with love on both sides. But they were always looking over their shoulders, so to speak. Where was the next danger coming from? How can some people be so evil? They both had a strong faith in their religious beliefs and cared about their people. I really enjoyed reading this series. I found myself searching for my Kleenex box at the end. Enjoy.

It goes from Someone having so much prejudice against someone Else. Discovering how we have to sometimes see the bigger picture. We should never judge anyone by the actions of others. This is the first series in a long time that absolutely consumed me. I read the series in less than 2 days because I could NOT stop till I knew what happened. I absolutely loved it!!! I was in tears for most of book 3. Although the end seemed rushed and left me with a few questions about Joseph and if he was saved in the end or not. I think that was the part that broke me the most. Thank you for this amazing series and I hope to read more like this in the future. I loved how it educates you on a religion while you fall in love with the characters!
