I loved this book. Andrew, aka Helios, is so, so broken that you can't help but love him. There were so many instances where I wanted to pluck him straight out of the pages of the book and give him some good cuddles just to let him know that everything would be okay. He's so sweet and vulnerable while still being a badass. A perfect combination. I loved Madison. She's a New York girl who can handle her own, but at the same time, she wants what every girl wants. To find a man who adores her. And she does with Andrew. I loved watching them fall in love. Despite all the ups and downs they have encountered so far, they remained steadfast in their love for one another and their need to be together. I love all the secondary characters, especially Logan. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we'll get some of his story one day. This is a fantastic read and I can't wait for more of Helios and Madison's story.

This book had so many emotions I had to pull myself away. The characters grow on you and stay with you. I couldn't read another story for the rest of the day after finishing this one. So many emotions. A little long in the tooth, but this story needed every single moment to get where it ends. Can't wait until I can read the next (which is in my possession).

I was lucky enough to receive an Arc Copy for an honest review. I absolutely loved this book,

Helios Awakened is the Story of Andrew (Helios) and Madison. Tawa wasn't scared to touch on subjects that are at times hard to face. We see Helios fight for his freedom, whilst dealing with his past with Madison and his friends supporting him all the way. Andrew's story at times is dark, and when you have lead a life like Helios trying to adapt and make a life with the one you love can be difficult when others try to stand in your way. This is a beautifully well written love story and you can't but help fall in love with the characters.

Looking forward to the next book in this series.

Beautiful story

I really liked this story, it has love and sadness and so many other emotions. The writing makes you feel what the characters are feeling, so much so that it was hard to put down. Can't wait to read the next book!

There is a total of 4 books in the Helios Chronicles – just wanted to toss out that FYI.

Madison Ellis has made the decision to take leave from her accounting job/life in NYC and move to Bakersfield, CA to care for her grandmother for the summer.

Andrew 'Helios' Harrison is the “bad boy” with a past that won’t let him go living in Bakersfield, CA with his aunt and uncle.

When these two met for the first time – all bets are were off! Love at site, moth meets flame….etc. What they feel for each other right off the bat is nothing but amazing.

While they both fall head over heal for each other, there are people and obstacles that they both must overcome to reach their happily ever after! No spoilers coming from me….but really a great read about second chances, love and friendship.

This is a beautifully written love story! “There’s only together, no apart” – hoping their love for each other holds out in NYC – the next chapter in their lives.

Surprises await.

The book started a little slow for me. Please keep reading. It has so many emotions. It is surprisingly good. It has some shocking revelations. Made my heart pound. Some super sexy scenes. It touches a lot of social issues. Not for the faint of heart. I read this book for a monthly read. So glad I did. Will be moving onto the next book. From a Fan... Pam James.

The POV in this book is written in the 3rd person. That wouldn't be so bad. But in this story absolutely every character gets her/or his POV. Not just Andrew and Madison. No also her grandmother, her mother, his mother etc. And the changes happened sometimes right after one sentence. I had to really concentrate while reading, to find out, who's "speaking" now. And after a few pages it's really hard to enjoy the story. So that's why I had to put the book down. I'm sure it's a really interesting story, and I would've loved to find out more about Andrew and Madison. But not like this.
