The Seers face their greatest challenge in the final chapter of the Order of the Seers trilogy…

When the fall of one nemesis unleashes an even greater danger into the world, Lilli, Joel and the Lost Seers must stand against a new enemy with the means and the will to destroy all of mankind, starting with those they hold most dear.

As the Seers mobilize to confront this new evil, the Guild tries desperately to uphold the crumbling world order on which it depends. When their attempts to manage the crisis fail, the members of the Guild are forced to place themselves at the mercy of an unlikely ally.

But the Guild isn’t the only one interested in maintaining control.

An agreement made in secret threatens to destroy any hope of a peaceful alliance before it can be made and as the betrayals unfold, no one is safe against a power that will stop at nothing to get what it wants. To defeat this threat and ensure the survival of the human race, the Seers must push the boundaries of their abilities beyond any limits they have known and risk crossing the line between life and death.

My name is Cerece Rennie Murphy, but, among my 5 siblings, I am known and teased by my superhero name, Wonder Worry, (and yes, I am a little worried about your reaction to what I just said). While in my youth, I used my superpower to whip minor setbacks into epic tragedies in 60 seconds flat, I no longer have the time to hone the skills I once possessed, which were handed down to me VERY CAREFULLY by my mother and her mother before.

Instead of spending my days imagining worst case scenarios, I am now on the front lines of true disaster prevention – treading the fine line between boo-boos and permanent brain damage, fighting crimes of curiosity, omission, absent-mindedness and sleep deprivation. I carry others down the winding, bumpy road of youth that starts out at the nexus of unique and brilliant but intersects with narcissistic serial killer at some distant point I hope fervently to avoid. As you might have guessed, I am a wife and mother of 2 small children. Luckily, my family lights up the sky so I never stumble too hard or lose my way.

I would lament the luxury of needless worry, but alas, I don’t have the energy. As I write this, I am losing a battle fought between my trusty sponge and a hardened glob of half-eaten cheese that traveled from the kitchen to the living room rug in the palm of a very small, but mischievous hand. Its stronghold on the fibers suggests occupancy of at least 2 days, but I’ll never know for sure. Rather than despair, I’ve chosen to retreat to my keyboard, noting that I have won the war - most of the rug is un-cheesed.

Before I worried. Now, I write.

The Last Seer Review

Book Rating: 3 stars out of 5.

Story Line: 3 stars out of 5. This book really ruined the whole series for me. I really didn't like the concept of the book at all. I try not to read books about legions/demons because I don't enjoy those types of stories. Well guess what this book had in it? That's right...legions! That just completely ruined the novel for me. At the end of the last book Lillith Knight killed Crane and unleashed an evil. That happened to be the legions. The gang didn't really know what they wanted to do about them. In the beginning of the book a seer sacrificed herself to save her people. A seer is able to kill the legions. They try to protect the people as much as possible. There were a lot of events in this novel as well. The new leader of the legions talks to Crane's old partner. He makes a deal with them. (I forgot his name. I'm not getting the book to look either.) Crane tries to get the Lost Seers to work with the Red Order seers to eliminate the problems of the legions. Alessandra and Liam try to help as much as possible. Eventually near the end you find out that Alessandra is pregnant. All the seers at the end fight with the legions at the meeting that Crane set up. The Lost Seers sacrifice themselves to help save the world. That is some of the story. The beginning for this book I don't remember as much since I really didn't enjoy this one. It is not fresh in my memory as some of the other books are. I wish I really enjoyed this, but I was honestly disappointed. The ending did make up for it, but it still wasn't that great of a book.

Characters: 2 stars out of 5.

I really loved Joel, Lilli, and Liam.
I didn't really like a lot of the characters in this one. I just wanted them all to disappear especially Alessandra. She was really annoying throughout the whole series. I hope others enjoy her character more than I did.

Writing Style: 4 stars. I liked the nice smooth writing style. I wish I like the book as much as the writing style.

I received an Arc copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Cerece Rennie Murphy … let me just say that this trilogy was perfect in every way! I cannot believe how captivated and invested I was in these characters. It was amazing to see each character grow, new ones evolve and dangers arise.

Lilith and Joel were so brave and awesome! I always knew that Lilith was something different and special from the other Seers. She just had so much going for herself. I love how she battled within herself to stay and transcend. She's stay as long as possible to be a support for her brother, very sisterly of her. Joel was fantastic as well, but learning that he could do what Lilith did made their relationship mean something much more for me. I love how they self sacrificed themselves in the end for the greater good. Fabulous.

Liam and Alessandra are just too sweet and adorable as a couple. When faced with danger they both froze up which is totally understandable, I mean those demons were insane. I loved how they both got back in to action for themselves and made sure to help however they could. I cannot believe they are pregnant and with a girl! It brings new light into the way things ended for Lilith. I mean it is so cute, but having their child look like all the Seers is very interesting. Will she be a new kind of Seer?

I cannot believe Marcus was alive! Not physically, but in the spiritual sense that Lilith and Joel transcended to -- that made my heart smile so much with that thought.

Andreas was such an idiot just as Crane was. I didn't get why he felt he could protect himself from the demons by helping them kill the Lost Seers. It only gave him a few days longer to live and in the end he died just like the rest -- probably worst. I hated how he betrayed the Guild.

The Guild was unbelievable in this book. I love how at the beginning they didn't want to give into the Joel and the Lost Seers out of pride, but in the end they gave in for the greater good. I am so happy that not all of them decided to stand with Andreas.

The "demons" were insane…I have a theory that these "demons" are really fallen angels which means they fell out of grace with god and had their powers taken away. I hated these characters because they had no emotion and only one mission: kill Lost Seers. They were despicable and I'm glad in the end they lost.

I totally enjoyed this trilogy, it was a different take on a sci-fi novel for me. Awesome conclusion and outstanding trilogy!

This is a page turner full of passion, heroics and high stakes drama. A battle that rages all over the world with young people who have telepathic abilities? Yes please! Great storytelling, Ms. Murphy!

A very satisfying finish

What a lovely series this has been. Rarely do we meet so many wonderful characters without confusion. In fact it has leant a feel of reality to the reading. We don't stand in isolation in unfolding events. We only think we do in times of great stress. There is family, friends and the people at large who share a link to us and others in some way, and if we use the link we are stronger.
These are young people who behave with maturity and grace and when we consider some of the characters in YA literature who seem selfish and whining we have to wonder why. Young people given the right circumstances can surprise us and take control of what is happening around them.
This was a clever, exciting and beautiful story with just the right amount of happy ending if sad at times and one I highly recommend both as a single read and a series.
As the culmination of events this last book satisfies the reader and as a book on its own is well worth the read but don't sell yourself short. Read the series.

Good

Get your tissues ready as this becomes very emotional. It was well written and definitely worth the read. I enjoyed learning about all the characters, well except a couple of bad guys, but it was good to know where they were coming from.

Interesting twist and lots of action. This is a great end to the trilogy. There were sacrifices and I wasn't too thrilled with the ending, but it was still bitter sweet.

**** Some Spoilers ****
I can't say enough about this wonderful series. Each book surpasses the excellence of the previous one. Very intense with lots of action and a sit at the edge of your seat thrill. Every page, every word has value, and you have to read everything, don't want to skip anything, or you will miss something.

The book wraps up the war between The Lost Seers and the Guild. There is an even more ominous enemy in play who threatens the lives of every human. The Guild must make a decision. Either they make peace with The Lost Seers and give up their pursuit to apprehend and enslave them or they die a brutal and violent death at the hands of beasts from hell. The Guild must join forces with The Lost Seers because they have finally admitted that only the Seers have the power to fight the beasts who are destroying humanity. In this book the full power of the Seers is manifested.

Like with any war, good people are lost, and this war is no different. Many characters we have come to love are lost. It is very sad but out of this sadness happiness is also felt because the battle is won, and peace is found.

Great series that I would read again.

Where to start with this book... First of all, the wait was definitely worth every minute, day second it took for this amazing book to arrive on my doorsteps. Cerece is a very tallented author and this book is no exception. I would like to start out by saying that I am sad to see this series come to an end because it truly is an inspiring story filled with love, hate, betrayal and of course some amazing characters that have mind blowing abilities. The story starts where the last book left off (which by the way I love)and does not hesitate to throw you right into the action. That is one of my favorite things about this series, its like you are there, actually witnessing everything. Her words are powerful and bring you to a dimension you truly wish existed. I cried, I laughed and even stomped my feet several times, this book brings out so many emotions it is hard not to fall completely in love. Ok, ok enough about how much I love this book, lets talk about the book itself.... The story starts out with Lilly and the others watching as the demon from book two ascends into the sky, they are all still unsure as to what exactly happened. Their whole understanding of how the world works is about to be tested and they finally come to realize that only they can save the human race. There is constant battles between good and evil, throughout the book. It really plays at your heartstrings. I really do not want to go into too much detail because it would give away the experience and surprises Cerece has in store for her readers. So, if you like good vs evil, powerful abilities, Demons and Angels, then this book is a right fit for you. I am honestly hoping and praying she continues the story. I must know what happens with "The Last Seer". I mean you cannot introduce someone like that and just not give us more!! Absolutely beautiful story!

My review will probably be a bit vague because I don't want to give anything away. I went into this hoping that the end of the trilogy would be just as good as the rest of the series. I was not disappointed. A bad ending to a series can ruin the whole thing for me. I am sooo glad this one ended well :).

We still get to see the wonderful and fabulous characters from the first two. Like, Alessandra, Lilli and her brother Liam and of course Joel. There are some wonderful new characters as well.

This book was full of battles. It was awesome. After the Seers kill Crane creatures come out of the wood work and wreak havoc.

The Seers and the Guild decide they are going to come together to combat the new evil that has been unleashed. Of course everything isn't what it seems. A back "room" deal was done before the meeting between the Guild and the Seers even meet.

The action in this book is fantastic. It seem to be non stop. It kept me up because just when I thought the battle was won, there was more to come. It was great.

There are even more developed powers being used in this book, and makes things more interesting. I love the power the Seers have when they work together. It's that great "good vs evil" story. Good always prevails.

All in all it was a great conclusion to a fantastic trilogy. Now what I loved about this book was that there was hardly any language, and no descriptive sex. It was great. It was about the battle, and
coming together! It made me happy.

Source: I was given this book in return for an honest review. I was not compensated in any way for my review. These are my PERSONAL thoughts on the book.

I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Beautiful ending! Once again, readers will not be disappointed. Since this is the last book, I will not talk much about it but I will say that this book is heart-wrenching and amazing altogether. It continues right where The Red Order ended: a demon flying to the sky, screaming. The last seers and the Guild must join forces in order to defeat this evil that has been unleashed into the world.

Everything came together for this ending. While it still hurts to think about certain things that happened in this book, it gives the reader so many emotions while reading that the reader can't help but love love love this book!

I completely enjoyed it, I love the characters so much. I can't begin to describe the love I have for the characters—they have succeeded in taking a part of my heart with them.

I am happy yet sad that this series has come to an end because I want to keep reading. I want more of this world of the seers, more of the action, more of the characters and more of the passion that Cerece has put into writing such magnificent stories.

This story starts right where book 2 left off. Joel, lilli and the other seers are watching the demon disappear, not knowing that there is a new evil out there. It is up to them to save the human race.
Now this is that last book and I was so sad. I dont want to give anything away because I want you to read it.
The book has all the old characters as well as some new ones. The Seer's powers have developed so much over the story. They end up having to work with the guild to defeat the new evil that is threatening them all. There is so much up and down. I put this book down and felt satisfied with how the story ended.

As the destruction the enemies has created grows globally, the Seers must find a way to save the world despite the fact the very people they are trying to protect have turned against them.

One man risks the freedom of the human race working alongside an ancient evil he cannot comprehend. If there is hope for the world, it is hidden somewhere in shadows that even the Seers sight of the future cannot perceive.

The Last Seer wraps up an excellent trilogy that readers surely will hate to see end. Bravo to Cerece Rennie Murphy for writing a tale I'm sure folks will talk about for years to come.

I have been putting this off since this came out, although I pre-ordered because I wasn't ready for this to end. And now that it has...my heart hurts in the most beautiful and delicious way. I loved this story, and this series. I will reread it again and again throughout my life and I am certain I will cry everytime. Thank you for this extraordinary journey.

Loved it!

Great ending to this trilogy!!! I truly loved it. I read this story when it was posting as a fan fiction story and it had finished on book one. Never read it again. I was amazed to find it published and continued and had to buy them and I'm really glad I did!

I think this one went much faster than the previous two books. characters seemed more developed. I wish there was a different ending for certain characters but ultimately I enjoyed the book.
