Rate this book
Oliver Durant finally feels complete. With his butterfly now wearing his collar, he begins to introduce her to his world, taking her to his BDSM club and introducing her to his family. Things progress rapidly and she feels safe and welcome with them and his species. The longer they are together, the more she starts to become like his kind, offering him hope that he will be able to be with his mate for the rest of his life.
While Rebecca Summers is new to the BDSM lifestyle, she adapts quickly and serves her Master well, giving him everything he asks for. She loves pleasing him and spending time with his family, who has given her the sense of belonging she’s yearned for since her parents’ tragic deaths. She can’t imagine denying Oliver anything, and even asks to undergo the genetic transformation to become one of his species. Days before the event, they are given some news that changes everything.
Can these two find their happily ever after?
Or does fate have other plans?

NJ Cole is a witty, mid-western girl with a kinky side. She works by day and writes by night, all while being a mother to her wonderful boys and serving her Sir. Unlike many of today’s authors, she chooses to write in first person, allowing the readers to experience life through the eyes of the unique characters that live in her head. Her love of those characters and respect for their stories come through loud and clear in her writing. With over two million reads of her online work in the past six months, NJ Cole is clearly an up and coming author.

I need more!! Because I thoroughly loved this story from start to finish. And it was a paranormal, which is pretty shocking for me cause I'm not usually into those type of stories. But this worked. It had just the right dose of reality, yet the paranormal twists. Which made it very interesting and its as if your taking a trip into a different world with the Bocaj's.

I think the Bocaj's are such an intriguing set of people. Well not people really lol Alien's. But the thing is they look exactly like people. They really are like if you tried to imagine what life would be like if you were perfection with no human imperfections. They don't bleed when cut, so their wounds heal almost instantaneously. Instead of dying like humans do, they like for 1,000s & 1,000s of years. And theres so many other factors. But one that made this an extremely hot story is their insatiable. They cannot get enough of sex, sex, sex and it was so hot reading it all. This also had some hot taboo moments too that I wasn't expecting. Which made this doubly delicious. The hotness factor is through the roof on this one!

Oliver & Butterfly I feel were perfect together. I feel like their like two sides of the same coin. They fit each other in every way. There was moments I thought Butterfly could use a bit more of a backbone. But she actually does towards the end and I was glad to see her finally putting her foot down sometimes.

I hope the author continues other books in this series maybe focusing on the other characters also like Shane, Gabriel, Caroline, etc.. 5 stars for being entertaining, sexy and fun!

I went in to this story knowing it would be an entertaining read because I've loved every word written by this author, however, I didn't really expect it to surpass Midnight Caller(#1 in the series), but it has. In all aspects, character development, emotions explode all over the place, and of course the hotness level has completely blown the thermometer off the wall. Now I will say that this is not for everyone, it is a Dom/Sub story throughout and I know not everyone enjoys or understands the lifestyle. Also, as good as ME is by itself, you really do need to read Midnight Caller first. Quite frankly, if you haven't read MC, what are you waiting for? Oliver and Bec are definitely worth a look, or two, or three, or . . . well, you get the idea.

H-O-T!! From the very first page it just jumps out at you as being one of those books that you know you may squirm a bit for. I really loved to different POVs in this one a lot more when compared to the first.
The relationship play out through better eyes, and allows you to follow Oliver and Bec as a real couple this time instead one two people of different races who were never meant to be. I loved the build of of that tension only to be released and shared and the unexpected surprise that makes you hope for that HEA ending. I truly love all of NJ’s stuff, but this series is one of the best by far.
4 STARS!!

***I received an ARC copy from the author*** Midnight Eternal picks up where Midnight Caller left us and was well worth the wait. I'm not going to give away much about the plot, but I will say that Bec and Oliver are hotter than ever. Sizzling hot! The story line was engrossing and the characters grow with every page. 10/10 would recommend, but this is definitely not a stand-alone. Read Midnight Caller first. Read anything by NJ Cole. Now officially one of my auto-buy authors!

This was an amazing story which takes place on Earth in modern day and incorporates alien life forms who interact & live among humans on a daily basis. The introduction of the alien species, the explanation of their world and how they got to Earth was done very well. I just loved Oliver's character! This story is heavy into BDSM and D/s, DD/bg relationships. Watching Oliver's and Rebecca's story unfold was literally watching a caterpillar become a butterfly. Their love is undeniable. The supporting characters are well developed and play a huge part in the story's progression. This is a two book series, although the story is so good, it could continue with the supporting characters! The author does an excellent job of capturing your attention and holding it until the very end. The ending of the book was perfect! I highly recommend this series!

This is the second book in this midnight series wow what a read. Bec and Oliver are still together, things get a little heated when things happen, Oliver is very possessive over Bec now that he knows she is his mate. They have some ups and downs when she thinks he has /is lying to her after she overhears a conversation.What with fights within the family, over what they have done or more to the point what he thinks they have done it really is a good story. With plenty of hot sex your going to love it

It's an overwhelming story, 5 stars isn't enough.. this series is so addictive.. it drags you in experiencing every sensation of the protagonists and this only to the excellent work of the authors.. I was unable to put it down.. curiosity prevailed also on sleep and therefore I finished it in one day.. Bec and Oliver are fabulous, a strong and powerful love that overcomes any obstacle.. there is no shortage of hot scenes, rather than hot I would say but I loved them.. it's a series absolutely to read and reread again and again

I got what I wanted out of this book! I wanted more of the relationship between the two main characters and the rest of the family. I think book number 2 was my favorite! NJ Cole wrote a fabulous sequel!

I’m really glad that Ms. Cole had asked me to take part in this tour because I had been on the fence about it, but after talking with her, I decided to take the jump and read this book.
I’M SO FREAKING GLAD THAT I DID!! Holy shiz, just wow. This book was nothing at all what I expected it to be. Now, to be honest, I hadn’t read the first book, Midnight Caller, until right before I read this one, so I was able to jump from one right to the other. And all I can say is HOLY SHIZ! The characters were written extremely well, the sex that takes place, although there is a lot of it, it was done very well in my opinion.
Being able to watch as the relationship between Oliver and Rebecca was just amazing as well. It was completely worth the lack of sleep that I got because I just couldn’t put this story down. With each page, the story just dragged me in and even after I finished reading it, I went back and re-read the ending a few times just because I didn’t want it over!
Back to what I said about the sex, yes there was a lot of it. A LOT OF IT. But it wasn’t written in a crude way or anything. It was written very classy, and in a way that didn’t make me cringe when I realized there was another scene of sex.
The ending, was totally worth the wait for. I couldn’t stop the emotions that I was having while reading it because it was done perfectly! Usually with the last book in a series, I don’t want the series to end. But that wasn’t the case here. Don’t get me wrong, I completely loved these books, but I really feel like Rebecca and Oliver’s story was done perfectly.
Overall, this is an amazing story that will bring a smile to your face, and tears to our eyes.

***This is book two, so if you haven't read Midnight Caller, you should read that first.*** If you like BDSM themes or paranormal romances, then this would be the perfect book/sequel for you! It has both. Think of it as Twilight meets 50 Shades of Grey. There are a lot of similarities to both series, except the main character is an alien instead of a vampire.

The writing itself is good, very descriptive, and I found that the plot kept me more engaged than the first book. The characters were interesting, but I found it difficult to relate to them. Oliver is fast, strong, has super sight and hearing, and is an alien Dom. Rebecca is a business professional and a bookworm. (Okay, I do relate to the bookworm part.) I did find Oliver more likable in book two than in book one, and some of the secondary characters, like Shane, were both likable and amusing.

This is the second book by NJ Cole that I have read. I'm glad to have found out how Oliver and Bec's lives turned out. I rarely say this, but I liked the sequel better than the first book.

I really didn't expect this book to be better than Midnight Caller but boy was I wrong!! The two books in this series were just HOT as hell!! Though, Midnight Caller was more about the sexual side of their relationship (and in my opinion had some MUCH steamier scenes), Midnight Eternal was more about their budding romance as a couple. Don't get me wrong, ME had some amazing scenes in it as well.
The development of all the characters relationships with each other was just so awesome to read about. I loved all the different poiny of views. This is definitely a series I will reread over and over again!!

NJ Cole can do no wrong!!!

I enjoyed reading more about butterfly and her Master's relationship and how they deal with being Bocaj. You'll definitely need to read the first book first to better appreciate this one. At times though I wished some of concepts like having to consume certain liquids to survive would be left off since I later found it as just as an excuse to have another sex scene. Don't get me wrong the sex scenes are very h-o-t and lots of bdsm play.

The ending of the epilogue was bittersweet but lovely to read.

~~~~~Sara's Review~~~~~~
I was given and ARC for my honest review.
Well I guess I will have to take my statement back from mu review from Midnight Caller because this book in the series is even hotter than the first. I haven’t been to sleep yet because I just couldn’t put the book down. This was even better written and more captive then the last. NJ Cole is definitely not disappointing me with this series. After reading this book I have added NJ Cole to my Favorites on Amazon. And you all should too.
I'm not typically a huge fan of paranormal or BDSM (I can take it or leave it), but this book is a fabulous combination of both. Lots and lots of erotic sex, a great story with interesting and likable characters, and an extremely romantic love story make this a really great read.
Typical of most of NJ Cole's books, there is not a lot of angst or negativity in this book or its sequel Midnight Eternal. Instead, it's the fascinating story of a couple who face seemingly insurmountable obstacles to find the truest love that will last a lifetime.
Really enjoyed this book but the epilogue hit me right where it hurts. The beauty of the end was so wonderfully painful. It hurt to read but was so satisfying. Not many books go there and I was so pleasantly surprised that this one did. Thanks for the experience.
