Another good book by Michelle Lee.
I give The Best Man 4 1/2 stars. Just because Davis was swoon worthy!!!!

Davis was just amazing. If you read this book and you didn't fall in love with in, then something is wrong with you. He was all you ever needed and more.

Kassidy was also a good character, although she seemed to irritate me some, being so damn stubborn. lol

It truly was a good book, just not to sure I was a big fan of the self-conscious thing going on in the book. It was different. But it was still good non the less.

I read Michelle's other book "A four letter word", and that book was awesome. So if you pick up either one by this author, you won't be disapointed. She provides good books for her readers, with a little bit of love, second chances, are third, lol, laughter, tears, and sometimes happy ones, and some HOT romance.

I would recommend either book for anyone.

Thanks Michelle for another good book, waiting on somemore writing from you!!!

I was fascinated in the ins and outs of Kassidy and Davis's relationship from the very first word.

Michelle Lee writes quite the typical romance where of maid of honour and best man eventually falling for each other after falling into bed with eachother. The snappy inner musing of Kassidy makes this for me- it makes my inner musings seem less crazy.

I look forward to re-reading this in the near future.

Kassidy is a workaholic, lawyer by profession, and is currently in a strange relationship with BoB when her best friend asks her to be her maid of honor. As part of her bridesmaid duties she has to dance with the best man and practice a lot in order to keep her pride and the man’s toes in one piece.

The story starts right away when she bumps into a hot guy in a club who ends up being Ryan Davis. The relationship between them is stormy at first and the sexual tension starts growing more and more.

The author uses a lot of classical formulas in romance (like the hot guy from the club being Ryan), and has a lot of classical and obvious situations. This isn’t particularly bad because those who love romance are accustomed to these resources. While reading you start to wait for those moments and are part of the excitement of reading a romance.

It's important to mention that the book has some things on its favor, for example the talks between Kassidy and her mind. If it wasn’t for the hilarious internal conversations between Kassidy and her inner self the rating would drop one point at least. The arguments they have are funny, entertaining and is very easy to relate with it. We all have chats in our minds so it was great to see (or better said read) an author who explodes this.

Ryan Davis is described as an Adonis, really sexy and with incredible abilities (not only for dancing). The rest of the characters are good too. The best friends (Macy and Chloe) are good confidents and sidekicks. And I like the character of Jackson, the story needed someone like him to make it real, even though you might end up hating him.

This is a story for mature readers because it has a lot of sex in it. The temperature is always about to break the thermometer and the descriptions are detailed and excellent. (Warning: spoiler ahead)

The only thing I didn’t like was the explanation of her past and why she is so afraid of let anyone in. It felt so simple to me, I can understand why she is scared but the past was really overrated by her and her friends.

Overall, The Best Man is a great contemporary romance, with high doses of sex and a character with a questionable mental health.

Kassidy Marshall, the lawyer, knows how to get things done; she's hardworking and willing to put in the time necessary to get the verdict/resolution she wants. Kassidy Marshall, the woman, doesn't know how to flirt or really put herself out there with a guy because she has been burned twice by men who took what they wanted without any thought of her feelings.

Chloe, Kassidy's best friend, is getting married, and she wants Kassidy to give the best man, Ryan Davis, a chance to win her heart, which is easier said than done after their first chance encounter. Before Kassidy even knows Davis' name, he becomes "sexy hair guy" and "asshole" because of his interaction with her at a bar. But first impressions aren't always the right ones, and soon, Kassidy finds herself smitten with Davis and willing to explore what they might have together as a couple. Can the maid of honor and best man become the couple that everyone believes their destined to be, or will Kassidy's first impression ruin what could possibly be her own happily ever after?

Going into the story, the premise of the book intrigued me, and I liked the idea of a story illustrating how first impressions are not usually an accurate assessment of who a person really is. I even found Kassidy's inner ramblings endearing at the beginning of the text, but her monologue of crazy got to be a bit over the top as I continued reading. Even when she was with people, the dominant voice in the room was the one in her head. And, while, at times, I felt the sexual chemistry between Kassidy and Davis throughout the story, I never felt like it grew into the love they profess to one another. There wasn't much wooing or romantic dates; in fact, most of the time, Kassidy is with her girlfriends discussing Chloe's wedding and the would be love connection between Kassidy and Davis. The time sequence just didn't work for me. There was definitely a story to be told, but it felt like it got bogged down by Kassidy's ramblings.

Overall, the story was just missing something...at times, the banter between Kassidy and Davis is awesome, but then other parts of the story distract from the main plotline. I guess I'm just not use to internal dialogue being the dominant conversation in a story. I needed more interaction between Kassidy and Davis.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were fun, easily related too, and were believable. In most books its very hard to get to know them all, but in this book you seem to be part of it. I loved kassidy, she was strong, in control, and undersexed, which made her such a great person to relate too. Although I liked how she was battling herself with her inner self, sometimes it got too much. I liked it, but it seem to take up more than it needed to. Ryan was a total pleasure to get to know. He is not what he seems and it makes him even better. I love that he takes his time with kassidy and that is what a man is to do. They constantly flirt after they get to know each other and it really makes some steamy scenes. They both have trouble with commitment and that is why patience is a virtue. I love that its like a romantic comedy and that the comedy actually works in this book and its placed throughout the book where its needed. Kassidys friends are awesome in this book, they tell her like it is and they are the girls you want as friends. Macy and chloe are great. They bring the book to life when its needed. I think what stopped me from finding it being great for me is that it was little too fast paced for my taste. There were so many things happening and I feel if it slowed down a bit and I found out a little more about the characters I would have totally engrossed in the book.

Chloe is getting married. Kassidy is her maid of honor, with that being said chloe needs to have dance lessons for kassidy. Jasons best man ryan is coming ing to get ready for their big day and ends up gong to a bar. This night really doesn't go as plan. Kassidy bumps into this sexy as hell guy, but he's arrogant and keeps bumping into her all night long. So the next day getting ready for her dance lessons she would never in a million years expect her dance partner to be the one that she having dreams about. Needless to say it gets worse before it gets better. With a little fighting, flirting, saving, and eventually drama will they see eye to eye?

I really enjoyed this book and hope to read more from this author. Would I recommend this book? Yes Would I reread this book? Yes.

I loved this super cute, sweet and funny story by Michelle Lee. I laughed so hard and related to a lot this books had to offer.... It was a refreshing read. Nothing too depressing. An average everyday women who has trouble in her love life. Like really bad taste in men. She also analyzes everything to death. I can relate to that aspect!

Kassidy Marshall is a up and coming lawyer. She excels are work. Her personal life is another matter. Her best friend is getting married, and she is going to be the maid of honor. For some crazy reason. the bride want the maid of honor and the best man to do- not one, but 2 choreographed dances. Much to Kassidy's horror. I don't blame her. Who wants to get up a do the Thriller dance while having a whole wedding watch you. But she is talked into doing them because she can not say no, especially to her best friend.

Right before the dance rehearsals, Kassidy and her friends go to a bar/club. She is thinking about her life, and run into a big time jerk. This guys is rude and obnoxious. And guess what? He turns out to be... THE BEST MAN!

The story is an up and down roller coaster of Kassidy's crappy love life and her dealing with Ryan Davies, who is the best man. Kassidy does not know how to be take control of her personal life. She seems to be a people pleaser. This is horrible for Kassidy, but hilarious for the reader. Kassidy has these comical inner conversations with herself. She constantly talks herself in and out of things. She is an over thinker. Big time.

I loved Michelle Lee's The Best Man. If you are looking for a funny, light read with no big drama I recommend this book.

Kassidy Marshall is a tough talking lawyer in the court room but this attitude does not roll over into her personal life, she finds it hard to stand up to her friends.

Her best friend Chloe-who so reminded me of my friend, a friend who thinks a person can only be happy if they are in a relationship or planning a wedding and constantly matchmaking- is getting married, Kas is to be the maid of honour and Ryan Davies is the best man, also best friend of the Groom.

On their first meeting,(they don't know who they are at first)Davies appears to be an asshole. Kassidy has had her fair share of those and doesn't intend to have another, so over the course of the wedding preparations they spend more time together will Davies break down her walls so they can both find love ???

At first I was really enjoying this story , but I felt it became a little tedious, Kassidy was constantly having long conversation with her 'Inner Self' even in the company of others who would ask if she was alright or are you there ???????
I felt that the chemistry between Kassidy and Davies was lacking something it didn't set me alight with passion ( sorry )
I would have loved to have seen more Kassidy and Davies out on dates instead we got a lot of dinner dates with Kassidy and her friends.

Sadly this book did not set me alight.

This story is about a girl named Kassidy Marshall.
She is a lawyer that wins most of her cases. She is really great at her job. But in her own personal life, not so much. She is a very shy insecure person that can't speak for herself. I feel so bad for her in some parts of this story because she is just so pitiful. She has a friend named Chloe, she is the kind of friend that is always going to be there for you no matter what but is also the kind of person that thinks that you can't be happy unless you are in a relationship. If you're alone that you will always be unhappy. Which is not true what so ever! Kassidy will not however stick up for herself when Chloe tells her these kinds of things. She doesn't want to be mean because Chloe is getting married, and she is to be her maid of honor. So she wants her to be the happiest bride to be. Her husband to be's best man which is named Ryan Davies is a duesh at first, but then later turns out to be a really nice guy. Will he be the guy for her? or will he just turn out to be another guy from Kassidy's past? Read the book to find out because it is really a great story. This book was a very well written novel by Michelle Lee. I can't wait to read some more of her novels soon to come.. I rated this book 4.5 stars!!

Michelle Lee’s This a sweet lil’ love story and if you like the “will she, won’t she”–girl’s-got-issues-but-the-guy’s-kind-magical-tales this one is your sort of book. This will make you wait for the payout and like it, you will relish Davis and Kassidy’s relationship.

The love story is about a fast-track attorney, Kassidy Marshall--who has more hang-ups than Nordstroms has hangers, and best friend and best man of the groom, Ryan Davis. Just in time for the month that celebrates "love" is a sweetheart story filled with sexual frustration and the close bonds of bffs.

The Best Man by Michelle Lee was a very interesting read. The storyline was good but the parts where Kassidy was talking to herself....and there was alot of those....I found my self skipping over them. I'm not a huge fan of books were they have flashbacks and someone talking to their self so this book just wasn't one of my favoirtes. The parts where that wasn't taking place I loved and this book would have been easily a four or five star book without that in it. The characters were great and you couldn't help but love them. The friendship between Kassidy, Chloe and Macy was fantastic and had me laughing at times. All in all not a bad read and the book flowed really well.

Kassidy Marshall has had some bad relationships. She through herself into her work. She was always the perfect picture of cool, calm and in control. Always in control; until she meets the best man, Ryan Davis.

This was a good book. I enjoyed the few twist and turns. I wish there were more! However it was still a good read. If you like a book with great friends, weddings, and a few surprises I recommend this book to you. It would have been a 5 for me if it had more and bigger surprises!
