I would like to preface by saying that I am a huge fan of Christie's writing. With that said, she ABSOLUTELY knocked it out of the park with this one. Fantastic read....I LOVED it!!! It is a beautiful story line filled with romance, angst and humor.

I loved the undeniable chemistry between Chase, the geeky scientist, and Lizzy, the independent, strong-willed marine biologist. They exhibit such passion for their work as well as for each other that you just have to keep reading to learn more about them. Additionally, the loving and supportive relationship the secondary characters (Val, Tad and Jason) have with Lizzy and Chase is pivotal and definitley helps to balance and accentuate the storyline.

I must give props to Christie though. By writing this book she is bringing awareness to shark conservation as well as environmental conversation. Both very important and worthy causes. She interspersed throughout the book lots of facts, information and even a little humor about sharks. In my opinion, this makes the book even that much more fun...and interesting!!!

Hopefully though, this is not the end of the "Pacifically You" story...as indicated on the last page... "The End...but not really". I would certainly LOVE more tales from the deep.

All in all...this book focuses on fate, friendships, love, passion and survival. It was an exciting and fun adventure...I HIGHLY recommend hopping aboard the "Pacifically You"!

Never ever judge a book by the cover. If I did, I would have never read this one.
When I say, I'm afraid of sharks, most people understand some how.
When I say, I'm even scared of goldfish, they laugh at me.
After they know this and I add I'm reading a book about sharks, they laugh even harder.
But when I say , it's a Christie A.C.Gucker book, they understand.

Review by a booknerd with fishphobia.

Pacifically You or Mating dance between Dr Weather nerd and Dr Fishy fishy fish pun dippin'.

3 man - a protective wanna-be alpha captain, a sweet wise 1-woman-man and a stalkerish scientist geek - 1 woman with pheromones on a boat for 6 months. Who's the bait for love or fish ?

This is a book that needs slow reading. Take time to read the chapter titles. Very nice and very funny ! There are many (hidden) double meanings, innuendos, flirting, good relationship advice, blue balls & blue 'clams'. Ocean and fish pun galore but never too much. A bit softer on the weather puns, but everything is written very fluend, so be aware of what you really read. Cod and God are easily looked over.

Yes, this book is about sharks, but mostly about romance. The fish are only the sidedish to a very sappy beautiful love story.
It's sexy, not overdone sex - except for sex on the beach ( makes you wonder, why on earth is this a apparently general fantasy ? It even made me wonder if the author herself had a try on that. My 'answer' came on the next page - let's keep it to cocktails when refering to sex on the beach. Better for everyone. The author & I must agree on this one. )

So I survived a shark book. ( I admit I had a panic moment some where )
I gave it a 4 star out of 5 because this is my second book I read by this author. The Purple Heart touched me more, kept me in a bookhangover for a few days.
This book is totally different. It's a nice and a good-read. Pun intended.

Not a good read. I kept thinking that the characters behaved and acted more like high school students than a professional research team. The woman has a PhD, but her parents talk to her like she's going away to summer camp for the first time. The story and plot points were just too awkward to be believable.
