⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2! Infraction, book 2 of 4.5. Inter-office forbidden romance with rough & kinky sex plus a dirty talker!

A belated review:

Books should be read in this order:
Book 1: Breach
Book 2: Infraction
Book 4: Breached
Book 3: Reciprocity
Book 4.5: Release

In Breach, book 1 followed the forbidden sexual affair between transactional attorneys, Delilah Palmer, Lila and Nathan Thorne as they shared a cramped office. To the rest of the world it looked like they hated each other while their secret liaisons increased in intensity and violence..

Infraction, book 2 opens up to book 1's shocking ending. With everything on the line and the truth bursting to come out, they will seek inwards as they turn to each for strength while at the same time resisting closeness and denying any deeper bond.

Nine words to describe Nathan Christopher Thorne broken, secretive, self-reproaching, charismatic, witty, arrogant, intelligent, possessive and dirty-talker.

Nine words to describe Delilah Anne Palmer, Lila: Ambitious, loyal, broken, insecure, practical, lost, reflective, private and determined.

Infraction, told from Lila's POV, is a forbidden office romance between two lost and lonely souls with secrets. It’s an onslaught of rough and kinky sex, courtesy dirty-talker Nathan Thorne. It ends leading right to book 3, Reciprocity for the continuation of their story

Contemptuous sex! Forbidden romance! Mystery!

What can I say about these books? When I read Breach, I fell in love with Nathan Throne. It is for sure one of my favorite books of 2013. I was hoping I would love Infraction just as much, and I did!

Infraction starts right where Breach left off.

We have Lila...
 photo ab5c2fc2-3c0f-4da4-8795-64c5e6c8ec25_zps86ed0068.jpg

Lila has been left broken in all ways possible. Nathan knows this. He knows that a lot of it is his fault, and he is willing to do anything to make it up to her.

 photo 66d8ebd1-1bb3-44ad-a056-ccaeab1846e8_zpsf4343a86.jpg
“I love you, Lila.” he declared.
“I’m so scared about what that means for you.”

Nathan has had his reasons for everything he’s done. We finally get more answers to why he is the way he is, and a few new revelations that shocked me. Nathan is trying very hard to show Lila his true self. For the first time in years, he is taking off the mask. He is willing to fight. For her.
The mask was gone, and for the first time, I was seeing the true Nathan without any inhibitions.

Lila and Nathan are two very broken people who fit together perfectly.

 photo 7359b46b-ef70-4a9b-88b9-7bfc71114467_zps7247fc0a.jpg

They don’t have the easiest relationship, but they are willing to do whatever it takes to make it work.
‘No more masks, just Lila and Nathan.’

We see a totally different side of Nathan in this book. He is still my favorite dirty talker, but we also see a softer side. I don’t care what others think of Nate... to me, Nathan is PERFECT. Period. I love this damaged and broken man.
‘I love you more than I’ve ever loved anyone.’

‘Who do I belong to?’
‘Me. You are fucking mine.’

 photo 9c2aa274-f9c1-4aaa-8aba-afeb65b6570b_zpsa6e56b2b.jpg

And I have to throw in one of my favorite dirty talkin’ lines...

This didn’t have quite as many rough and sexy scenes as Breach, it focused more on the growth and healing of Lila and Nate. But don’t worry... the ones that were in there were worthy and HOT as all get out! KI Lynn does a wonderful job with writing the super steamy scenes!

Lila also showed a new side of her. A stronger side. Finally, she is able to believe maybe someone does want her. Love her. She is a wonderful heroine and she and Nate just balance each other out... they work. They both still have demons they are fighting, but they are doing it the right way. The healthy way. They are fighting them together.

 photo 54a56ae1-164f-4872-9855-00867ea88619_zpse033677a.jpg

Lila and Nathan have been through so much, and they still have a very long journey ahead of them. I know Breach had a bit of a cliffhanger, this does not. The ending was perfection. I cannot wait for the final installment of this trilogy... I just hope we don’t have to wait too long!

A story of real, raw and passionate love. Of forgiveness, healing, learning to trust, moving forward from your past. One of those stories that will stay with you.

I love everything about this series. The writing is incredible, the characters are perfectly flawed and the story is just intense, beautiful, sensual and amazing. I can’t tell you how highly I recommend them! If you haven’t read them... you are missing out! Get to it ;)

5 BROKEN STARS.

Twisted but perfect, dark yet light, heart breaking but faultless, chaotic yet passionate, tortured but liberating ... Welcome to 'Infraction' a story that has provoked an endless amount of emotion and equal measure of delight for my reading time, and I can't even begin to tell you how much I adore this book, the characters and KI Lynn. If you haven't started the 'Breach' journey yet and you love a romance with a heartbreaking twist then you are in for one gorgeous treat. I fell for this series from the beginning and It didn't stop here, 'Infraction' was all I could have wanted for book two of this gripping trilogy and i'm more than a little convinced that this book, the series and author has hit my favourites. Here are my thoughts ...

What's it all about ...
Nathan 'Nate' Thorne and Delilah 'Lila' Palmer find themselves drawn to each other in an inescapable prison of love and lust. We are thrown back into their lives following a tragic circumstance that threatens to drive this duo apart. As the couple struggle to reconnect and fight the demons from their dark pasts, they are faced with heartache, pain and the hope to find love amongst the devastation. Decisions have to be made and trust must be forged for both Nate and Lila if they are to face their deepest fears, overcome the past and find a hope for a future together. 'Infraction' takes the reader right into the action, heartache and reconciliation of Nate and Lila and the possibility of two broken hearts making each other whole.

What did I love?
I don't even know where to start, the book astounded me, I know that for some readers the material may be a little too raw and emotional but I am completely spell bound by this series. The author covers topics that ordinarily I may have found difficult, but the writing style is engaging and gripping and is seamlessly put together. The characters are broken, damaged and yet the author makes them loveable and easy to connect with, We are shown different sides to Nate and Lila in this second instalment of the series, we see a broken man rising up to face his past, but don't be dismayed the dirty talker returns and delivers what we all fell in love with in book one. Lila again shows her vulnerable side, but even through all her setbacks she is still a loveable and likeable heroine, I couldn't have asked more from the author for these characters and I'm convinced most fans of the series will be happy with the books development.

description

Final thoughts ...
All in all a 'middle of the trilogy' winner for me; drama, passion, love, suspense, and a passionate portrayal of true love making it against all odds. I would wholly recommend this series to those that don't mind their Romance dealing with some darker topics of life, this story is by no means an easy journey but it's one that has grabbed my attention and heart. 'Infraction' does not leave on a cliff hanger but leaves the door wide open for more of Nate and Lila's story and I must confess I'm more than up for it ... Don't delay readers go grab it, kisses.

"Love has many shapes and depths, some richer than others. His for you is breathtaking."

I first read Infraction in 2014, and I will never forget the impact this series made on me. Infraction is the second book in the Breach Series and after Breach ended with a BANG, I could not wait to get my hands on this book and find out what could happen next for Lila and Nathan.

description
"Fuck, I've missed this tight little snatch.
My dirty girl is so wet for me."
Lila Palmer and Nathan Thorne are both broken and damaged beyond repair from the demons of their past. After Lila finds herself in the hospital, Nathan has made it his mission to be there for her and prove his love for her. With his family and their friends surrounding her with love and support, Lila is struggling with trusting Nathan again. After breaking her heart, he has a lot of work to do to make her feel safe in his arms again.

description
"I want to pull you inside me so you're safe."
Lila is damaged both physically and emotionally, and Nathan and Lila seek help from their therapist to work through their issues. As Nathan struggles to let go of his past, Lila fears he will never be able to love her enough. As their fears for their relationship are painfully torn away, Nathan and Lila recognize the peace they have in each other, and the passion is reignited between the two.

description
"You are fucking mine."
Told in dual POV, Infraction is another delicious read with passion, romance, and some more serious dirty talking. The dynamics between Lila and Nathan span the spectrum of emotions and watching these characters come together and learn to embrace life together is remarkable. I adore the intricate relationship between Nathan and Lila, and as each moment unfolds, I could not take my eyes away. The secondary characters enhance the plot considerably with the support they offer Nathan and Lila. Additionally, the action and intrigue are amped up when Lila and Nathan must face the demons of their past head on. Once again, K.I. has captivated me with Infraction's creative plot, passionate moments, and beautiful text.

Infraction is an absolute must read for Nathan and Lila fans. This series is beautiful, raw, dark, and of course deliciously dirty! I am so excited for the upcoming release of Breached. No doubt, more NATHAN and LILA greatness is in store!

5 Beautifully broken stars!

This book starts with Nathan finally admitting his feelings for Lila, after almost losing her before.
But with a broken body, a broken soul… and a broken heart, Lila is not willing to let him come into her life again, she already was hurt enough to last a lifetime.
Unfortunately, in her circumstances she hasn't exactly another choice, so her feelings start to getting harder to ignore. Especially when now, Nate is very open with his.

description

But Nathan’s inability to let go of the past and Lila’s unwillingness to live with his ghosts get in the way. In this book we see a much stronger Lila that despite all the problems that still haunt her, when it comes to her heart she was hurt one too many times and she is taking no prisoners when it comes to protect it.
But Nathan is doing the same when it comes to have Lila and he will do everything in his power to keep her.

So this is basically two broken souls trying to reach for each other, with a lot of ghosts in their path, and finding their way to happiness together.

description

This book was even better than the first one (I know, how is that even possible, right??), and I fell even more connected to the story.
Lila and Nathan are the most broken and f*ucked couple you’ll ever cross paths with, and you will not be able to not love them and root for their happiness together after all the darkness they've been through.
I loved everything single second of this achingly beautiful love story and I can’t wait for the third book to see its (hopefully happy) end!:)

5 break-me-and-put-me-back-together-again-stars

ARC provided by K.I. Lynn for an honest review, because she loves her Honeybears and because she may secretly fear us ;).

We knew that both Lila and Nathan were two fractured souls and we knew that fixing themselves would not be easy or pretty. But we understood that in order for them to do this - they needed each other.

This was a captivating & layered story of them putting all the shattered pieces back together. Nathan's forced acceptance that although he wanted to give up on living because the guilt weighed him down, that Lila awakened a beast within him. And it was too late to let her go again.

Lila was beaten down - her existence tittering on the edge of darkness.

She saw a glimpse of what it was like to be wanted - to be loved and then he left her. The rush of every insecurity overtaking her senses as she drowned in them. Letting Nathan back in after he broke her was not going to be easy.

K showed pure talent in taking a story that showed you glimmers of such a tainted tale of love mixed in with some of the hottest and most erotic sex in Breach and then peeling back all of the layers in Infraction. We saw a glimpse of what heartbreak existed under the surface in Dissolution but in Infraction we learn that in order to fully heal you have to completely break apart.

Although I loved the rough and dirty in Breach I adored the less physical aspects of Infraction. This was not a 'poof' you are suddenly healed story. The struggle is agonizing and heartbreaking, but you never lose sight of just how much need there is between them.

And perfectly balanced in with the emotional side of this story was the Nathan Thorne we know and love. Dirty talking at it's finest. Every raw - intense moment is felt through K's words and woven into the story where it fit.

Love is not always pretty. Lila and Nathan's journey is a trek through their own personal hell - learning that sometimes you must rely on the strength of someone else to carry you through to the other side. Letting go - moving on and realizing that no matter what scars your past has carved into your soul that you are worthy and deserving of love.

My Nathan & my own personal love note to my favorite Book Husband...

"But when I took you, I gave everything I could and it was raw and primal. I craved you to the point of insanity."

"I...I need lovey hugs."

A rumble moved through is his chest as he growled into my ear, "I need you, baby."

"Because you are my dirty girl. Your monas are mine, your orgasms are mine, your body is mine."
he said through clenched teeth.
"You are fucking mine!"

...... pre-release review .....
If I had a first born I would so give it up for a chance for an ARC of this book.

Maybe a virgin sacrifice?

A little birdie told me someone loves chocolate...does this sweeten the pot??

I am willing to lend umm... a helping hand to spread the word about this awesome series...

5 STARS.

"After everything, there was still that rope that bound us together, pulling me to him."

Infraction is the second part in this series and it picks up right where the prequel left off. After the highly emotional cliffhanger ending of the first book, I was very anxious to start this sequel and I can honestly say, it did not disappoint. Infraction was everything I was hoping for and more. It was a heartbreaking and heartwarming story at the same time and I enjoyed reading every minute of it.

While the first part of the series focused more on the physical aspect of Nathan and Lila's relationship, this sequel focuses more on the emotional part of their strong connection. After everything that transpired between them towards the ending of book one, both Lila and Nathan are left broken and shattered inside. They're disconnected from each other and this story focuses mostly on the healing process of both themselves and their relationship.

Both of the main characters are haunted by memories of their past. Especially Nathan has a hard time letting go of the guilt that comes with what happened to . As long as he's unable to let go of that guilt, he's unable to move forward with Lila and slowly but surely he begins to realize that. But what happend at the end of the first book made him realize how important Lila is and how much she means to him and that makes him want to fight to become the man she deserves. Therefore there was much less of Nathan the dirty-talker (although he was still there ;)) and much more of a man willing to fight and prove his love to the woman he loved.

"Lila was hope. She was love and she was life. She would be my resurrection, and in this new life, the fates would bind me to her and she would make me whole."

Lila was a very strong heroine and I loved that she stood up more for herself in this sequel. She still had her weak moments, but she now knows what she wants and she's not afraid to fight for it. She didn't give in to Nathan's pleas right away, but instead saw the man for what he was and she was willing to wait for him to first make peace with himself instead of focusing on their relationship right away.

"The mask was gone, and for the first time I was seeing the true Nathan without any inhibitions. He was raw and lay before me. More beautiful than usual in his agony."

Towards the ending there were some unexpected twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. Both Nathan and Lila have already been through so much and in the end I just wanted them to find their peace and happiness. .

"I'm not much, but I'm all yours. Everything that I am. I know I'll fuck up, but I promise you will never feel unloved or unwanted ever again."

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

All in all, Infraction was a beautiful, heartfelt, well written story that kept me glued to the pages the entire time I was reading it. There was never a dull moment and despite the fact that both of the main characters went through a lot of agonizing, painful scenes and emotions, in the end everything fell into place and I was left with a happy smile on my face. So, for those who are wondering, there was NO cliffhanger. But, I'm still anxiously looking forward to reading the third and final part of this series and finding out what happens next in Nathan and Lila's wonderful story!

**** NEW COVER ALERT ****

LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!! We get ANSWERS and HEALING and NO STUPIDITY and (bonus) it has an AMAZING ending!!! NO CLIFFHANGER!!!!

This book left me with the hugest smile on my face! After as long and hard a journey as these two characters had been through, that ending was just a perfect way to finish this book. It really leaves you in a wonderful place. No cliffhanger!!

The story in Infraction picks up right where Breach left off and after the devastating cliffhanger that it had ended on, I was left absolutely desperate for answers! And boy, did I ever get them!

I don't want to say too much about the plot here because this isn't a standalone and should only be read after Breach but suffice it to say that all the questions that were built up in the first book were answered, the issues were addressed and worked through (in a healthy, healing way), and the emotional depth of the romance was deepened.

The vibe was very different than the first book though even though it continued the story perfectly. While Breachwas very rocky and tumultuous, Infraction was very healing and developmental and really counter-balanced the first one well.

The pacing was wonderful and constantly moved the story forward, the writing was fluid and kept me fully connected to the story and the plot was gripping. I read it in one sitting and just didn't want to put it down.

I found this book to be considerably more emotional than the first. While I didn't actually cry, I still felt very deeply connected to both Nathan and Lila because in this one the walls are down and the masks are off. Everything is in the open and we got to see the real Nathan and the real Lila. We saw their pain, their heart ache, their guilt, sadness, love, loss, need, desires... everything was on display and finally brought into the light. There was no more hiding.

The mask was gone, and for the first time I was seeing the true Nathan without any inhibitions. He was raw and lay bare before me.

"I love you, Lila," he declared. "I'm so scared about what that means for you."

The focus of this book was on rebuilding trust, finding a way to deal with the demons that haunted them and healthily working to build a functional relationship. Both Nathan and Lila had their separate issues to worth through and years of respective traumas to overcome but they both desperately wanted to find a way through it.

"For the first time in four years, I want to get better, I have a reason to get better. I want you to get better, too. I want to be with you."

It was a struggle for both of them though. Sometimes it was two steps forward, sometimes it was one step forward, two steps back. Their struggles were raw and often painful but their love for each other was at the heart of everything and kept them throughout it all.
"I'm yours. All that I am, if you want it. I'm not much, but I know I can be so much more with you."

The story wasn't all heart breaking though! There were some scenes that seriously made me laugh right out loud! I really liked that there was that balance allowing you to kind of regroup your emotions and just have a happy break in the midst of it all.
"I don't know what to say."

"Say thank you. That's what I was told to say after my lobotomy."

I also fell much deeper in love with Nathan in this book. I think it was because finally his back story came out and actually knowing the things that haunted him, knowing his loss, his pain and guilt and fears, allowed me to genuinely connect with him through a real understanding of what he'd been through.

The way he cared for Lila just melted me. I could feel his love for her in every one of his actions. He really stole my heart in this one! Completely.

This book had several 'reveals' in it and especially a few big ones that sent chills down my spine as it all came together!! Such an awesome feeling!

What I loved most about this book though was that there was literally no stupidity in the whole book! There were certainly set backs and times when one or both of them made mistakes and totally fucked up but it was always over something understandable and it was always worked through. I loved that very realistic feeling that it gave the story of being able to make mistakes but also grow and heal and learn from them.

"I'm not much, but I'm all yours…. I know I'll fuck up, but I promise you will never feel unloved or unwanted every again."

"You can't promise that." …

"Maybe not, but I will work damn hard to make it the truth."

Oh, and about the dirty talking... this was my one "semi-issue" from the first book. I do love me a dirty talker and let me tell you... Nathan is the dirtiest of all the dirty talkers I've ever read buuuuut he was just a wee bit dirtier than was my personal preference (like the use of the words whore and slut). The truth is that it didn't float my boat but it sure as hell floated Lila's so since it was something they both loved, I basically just tried to not think about it and be happy that they were happy especially since that was only the way he talked during sex and it never carried through to any other part of their relationship. It was crystal clear that he had great respect for her both as her own person and as his lover so clearly this was just something they both got off on, nothing more. Not to mention that, those two words aside, the sex scenes were scorching!!
"Your moans are mine, your orgasms are mine, your body is mine." he said through clenched teeth. "You are fucking MINE!"

*fans self*

As the story went on, I got that feeling of dread. You know, that one where everything is finally going so well that you just know that the shit is bound to hit the fan in some huge unexpected way? Well, it did... and totally took me by surprise! Definitely a heart-in-my-throat moment. But again, I loved where it took the story and I loved that the issue was external to the relationship.

I've said this before in other reviews but I really can't stress enough how much I love it when the sources of drama in a romance come from outside the relationship. Don't get me wrong, I totally understand and love conflict between the couple but I don't like fearing for the survival of a relationship, y'know? And I loved that I always had the feeling in this one that they were going to make it no matter how long or hard their road was.
"I want to pull you inside me so your safe," he said as he climbed back onto the bed and wrapped his body around mine.

The ending was absolutely AMAZING!! Totally squee-worthy! I guarantee that you will end this book with a HUGE smile on your face. Nathan and Lila's story isn't finished but we are left in such a wonderful place while we wait for the sequel. Again, there is really no cliffhanger. It's 100% safe to dive right into this series if you're interested!

Infraction continued an intensely passionate romance that was both heart breaking and healing about two truly damaged people finding healing through their love for each other. I loved it!

4.5 - 5 stars

It starts where the first left us, with Nathan crashing into Lila’s hospital room.In this book, we see Lila and Nathan exploring and working their relationship without the sex!

description

Lila and Nathan are so broken..My heart broke for them!
I really loved Nathan in this book!!He is really handsome and dirty talker but apart from this,he is also romantic. Finally we can see clearly his feelings for Lila!

"You are my best friend, my lover, my soul mate, the love of my life, savior, my naughty girl, and my sweet Honeybear."

OMG poor Lila..she was so many times in the hospital..poor girl!I felt sorry for her...Her previous life was so awful..I'm glad she is with Nathan because I really think he can help her, together they can help each other..There are moments she pissed me but it was kind of understandable, the way she reacts. (so many things happened to her)

"You've changed my world. I'm altered, no longer stuck in purgatory."

Emotional, passionate and heartbreaking this book, messed with me and put me back together. I felt along with the heroes and understood their pain and nightmares. Their pasts will come back to haunt them with a vengeance and you will bite your nails and pray for them to end up where they belong... Together. Sexy and raw, a great love story that I can't wait to be continued in the 3rd installment Reciprocity.

Also, WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR FAVOURITE DIRTY-MOUTHED SEX BEAST??

3.5 ★'s

At the conclusion of Breach, we know that Lila has been in an awful car accident and now we find out what happened. Of course, Nathan is there but this is a much less controlled and held together Nathan...one that Lila doesn't know what to do with.

description

Well, I already know that I'm in the minority for not loving this book so I'll just jump into my reasonings why. I almost feel like this is a different book than the first one...and definitely different characters. If I had read this book without reading the first one, I'm sure I would have enjoyed it much more since I love all that angst and drama.

The whole reason I even read the first book was to read about Nathan, the dirty talker and see how out there and over the top it would be. That is definitely not in this book. Oh, we get a little taste but it's so random and taken out of context that it just fell kind of flat.

The 'counseling' was a bit too much for me too. I know they need help but I just don't want to hear all the details. And the lovey hugs...ugh! It was just too cutesy!

And as if it wasn't enough for them to go through all they were going through and make some real progress and FINALLY we were seeing a bit of the Nathan we know and love....a blast from the past has to come and ruin things! And at almost the end of the book...WTH??

And please, don't even get me started on the infamous Boob Squad...seriously?! Was Nathan really cornered in the copy room? Our Nathan who punches holes in walls and tears down drywall? And the most that was done was some threats? *shakes my damn head*

Well, I think that's about it. Like I said, IF I hadn't read the first book, I probably would've loved this one more. The BEST parts of the whole book was Lila's dream while she was in the hospital...I LOVED THAT!! Oh...and I can't forget the weekends away especially the one at the beach. I'll definitely be reading Reciprocity and keeping my *fingers crossed* that our beloved Nathan is back!

SPOILER-FREE REVIEW:

My Lila and Nathan:

Infraction, continuation to amazing Breach, is intense and heart-wrenching story that won't leave you indifferent. I loved it!

Infraction is about two broken people who lost faith in better future only to be brought together by fate. Will be Lila and Nathan be able to help each other to overcome their fears? Or is this intense connection and passion between the two of them too much for their fragile states of mind?

Drama, breakdowns and raw conversations - Infraction is definitely not the easiest book to read. This middle part of trilogy is written in slightly different tone than previous book. Process of healing and learning to trust and love again is not easy. How can two people who in past couple of years knew nothing but emotional pain, guilt and despair learn to let go and be truly happy?

I loved how strong and true to herself Lila was in this book. She did have her weak moments, but in general she always did what was best for her and had Nathan work hard for forgiveness. I really admired her, found her behaviour realistic which made me enjoy this book even more.

Nathan went through huge character change in this book. Well, he is still the same person inside, he just finally opened up and showed his vulnerable side to Lila. I swooned so much over Nathan, he is perfect man and I grew to love him so much while reading this series!

But don't be mistaken, this book is not hearts and flowers. Quite opposite. Lila and Nathan went through a lot and there is still along way ahead of them. Some parts in this book broke my heart and I was very emotional reading it. I was very compassionate towards main characters and I absolutely love when author is able to achieve that with her/his story. I highly recommend this series, you won't regret reading it. K.I. Lynn is promising author and I can't wait for final instlament in this series!

3.5 Where'd the Dirty Talking Mr. Thorne Go Stars!!

This book starts right where Breach & Dissolution ended. I'm, of course, not going to tell you what happened at the end of the last books but a lot of healing is needed. Delilah and Nathan find themselves more emotionally and physically broken than they were before. I will agree that this story did need to be address the couple's brokenness but I really missed the Nathan we saw in the first book, Breach. I missed his dirty talking ways ALOT!!!

Lila and Nate do a lot of talking in order to build a stronger relationship made of trust and love instead of just hot sex. We learn all about the secrets of both their pasts. They both come out stronger people because of it.

I don't think we saw the dirty talking, sexual beast Nathan until after 50%! When these two do Finally start getting their grove back! it's in the form of dark alley public sex!! I gotta say I really loved it. These two made sure to make up for lost time and I was their cheerleader!!

So in case you're still puzzled about my 3.5 stars, I just needed more dirty talking and a lot more of the hard fucking that I loved in Breach. I'm looking forward to reading the final installment of this series.

Special thanks to the awesome whores I read this with in the Fun BR group!! Love reading with you all!! MWAH

HEARTBREAKING, CAPTIVATING AND BEAUTIFUL

This book picks up beautifully from Breach. Nathan and Lila battling with their own ghosts and finding themselves together. Their journey was heartbreaking, painful and how happy I was when dirty mouth Nathan showed up!

"If you are not ready to move on with Lila, there are plenty of men at would be honoured to have her, and it's not fair for you to deprive her of the opportunity to have a full and happy life"

"Not going to f**king happen"

AM SO IN LOVE WITH THE NATHAN

Lila and Nathan's edge of darkness bring them closer and stronger together to face whatever is left! This book is so brilliant and that I have lost for words. One thing for sure, Nathan's touch is still ooo yeah!!!!!

"Touching yourself in the shower, my horny, dirty girl? Making me so hard I can't think straight!"

"F**k baby, do you really think I wouldn't want to f**k my little whore?"

"Don't tempt me, baby. I will f**k you on this beach if that's what it takes?

2 Stars :(

Well....At first I was going to rate this one 3-3.5 stars but the more I thought about this book I ended up knocking it down to 2 because honestly I can't say I liked it. For me, it was just "OK". I was disappointed. Nathan and Lila almost seemed like a completely different couple in this one than they were in Breach. They were both so emotionally f'ked up that I just felt a real disconnect with them. The back and forth crazy just got old....

They were both crazy

Their crazy drove ME crazy...

And just left me with a headache and a WTF feeling..

Nathan and Lila were so hot in Breach and couldn't get enough of each other. Here, there was way too much crazy and not enough connection or passion. I eventually got tired of Lila's self loathing and Nathans guilt. Over and over and over and over again.. I won't be reading the next one... this emotional roller coaster just wore me out. No thank you. I don't mind a little crazy in my books but these two just wore "crazy" out

And by the end I just felt like...

**Spoiler alert. If you haven't read Breach, proceed with caution!***

I would first like to highly recommend reading the novella Dissolution prior to this book. It's in Nathan's POV and is a nice prequel into this novel....had I not read it, I would've entered this book with serious issues related to Nathan. Now, I understand him...I empathize him.

Infraction, the continuing story of Nathan Thorne and Delilah Palmer. It picks up right after the car crash that renders Lila in the hospital and a very distraught Nathan at her bedside. He's tried to break the ties that bind them, he just can't do it. She cries out for him, his soul cries out for her. As much as his brain tells him to let her go, let her find happiness and safety with another man, he wants her. She's his.

I'm not going to spoil this one for anyone. The book is an experience. An evolution of sorts. Of two broken and scarred bodies and souls coming together to make one.....

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

I LOVED Nathan in this book! He's coming to terms with his issues relating to his past and will do anything to make this work with Lila. They've got a long road ahead, but they'll forge through. If they have to see their therapist daily, they will. For each other, for their future. It won't be easy, every day a challenge, every night a challenge but they'll prevail. They have no choice. They are two pieces of a whole....

Can Lila trust him again? She's been denied love and acceptance her whole life but NOBODY has hurt her the way Nathan did. Can she put her heart, her sanity on the line again? Can he bury his past and love her exclusively, bury her.

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

Infraction is more the love story, less erotic, more angsty. I truly enjoyed their journey towards happiness. Nathan still has his dirty mouth but it's toned down quite a bit. So, you dirty mouth lovers out there, he's still present. It just takes a bit into the book for the Nathan beast to show up!

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

The book doesn't end in a cliffy. YEAH! We're left with a "happy for now" but events that take place in this book will need resolving in the following and final installment Reciprocity.

5 beautifully layered stars from me

My dirty talking hero yet again!
dg

And Lila was as feisty and real as I hoped and wanted her to be.
N & L

love

Although I accept that this book (like Breach) won't be everyone's cup of tea, not seeing past their rough sex and their dirty talk, is to not accept that it happens within happy, healthy, loving relationships.
submit

The point of the story was that love (in whatever form it took) conquered all.
love

This book was beautifully written in many layers that kept me enthralled. It's by an author who never needs to question her skills or doubt herself.

It's going to be a long wait until book 3 - so whilst we're enjoying Obsession and whispers in the Dark, we can pop back here and keep an eye on things!! dg

4.5 Healing Stars

 photo Moldiv_1386812262373_zps7ktmnnh0.jpg

Lila wakes up in a hospital bed after a car accident hearing Nathan's voice yelling for her. He makes it to her and he is crying.

He was stunning. More beautiful than usual in his agony. I didn't move, I didn't speak, I lay there stunned. He was crying. Nathan was crying.

After finally succeeding in pushing Lila away, Lila was just coasting through her days. On her way to work, she was in a car accident. Nathan finally realized how much he needs Lila in his life, no matter the consequences. He wants her back but he has to earn her trust again.

Nathan and Lila have a rough journey ahead of them. They both want to make things work between them, but they need a lot of help getting through it. Nathan's family is very supportive and the friends that Lila has are very supportive of her, but wary of Nathan. He broke her once and they don't want to see it happen again.

This was an absolutely beautiful story about two broken souls finding their way back to each other. I am so ready for the last book to come out to find out what happens.

4.5 Incredible, Haunting, Broken, Nathan Loving Stars!!

Two Broken souls
Shattered hearts
Painful memories

Can Lila and Nathan heal and finally move forward?

This is book two of the Breach series and after reading Dissolution (Breach #1.5),a Novella from Nathan POV, which was heart-breaking and made me love Nathan even more, I really had to have this book..And then K.I.Lynn you awesome woman sent an ARC I was over the moon *happy dancing* :D

Infraction starts off where the previous book left off, Lila is at the hospital after the car crash she was in and things continue from there..

This book was a lot more about growth in Nathan and Lila's relationship they have a lot of issues to work on they both need help and fucking away problems or pushing each other away wasn't working at all..

Whilst the first book Breach focused more on their sexual relationship Infraction focused on Nathan and Lila getting better and being free from their past traumatic experiences.

"The mask was gone, and for the first time I was seeing the true Nathan without any inhibitions. He was raw and lay before me. More beautiful than usual in his agony."

Both the main characters are broken and lost until they find each other..struggling with their pasts and haunted by heartbreaking memories how do they improve their relationship..
Nathan needs to gain Lila's trust after he destroyed it in Breach. He is consumed with past guilt which is slowly eating away at him. Will he be able to forgive himself?

Lila has her own troubles and is scared to let Nathan in again but she also knows she cant live without him. I felt that Lila's character became stronger and more stable than how it was in the previous book.

We find out a lot more about Nathans past and why he did the things he did. You find out more about his demons and what haunts him and it makes you fall even deeper in love with his character! I just wanted to give him a big hug (among other things) and make him feel better..
To move forward Nathan needs to make peace with himself, his demons are in his head, his guilt, anger, frustration is all aimed at himself.

"After everything, there was still that rope that bound us together, pulling me to him."

The ending took me by surprise! And had me thing whatttttt? Thats it??
yes I had a mini panic attack until I saw that there is another book in the series *phew*

Overall I really enjoyed this book,a beautiful, intense, heartbreaking story filled with forgiveness and love..

"He was furious, fists clenched at his side, and I could tell he wanted an outlet. It was amusing to play with him, so I laid it on thicker, smiling and waving at him like I was on parade. He growled. My smile turned to a glare. Spoilsport."

Yes yes I thoroughly enjoyed this book! :D

Finally!! The sequel we've all been waiting for!

And what an emotional journey it was..

So Breach ended with Lila in hospital after the accident and Nathan calling out to her...
We had a lot of questions, some were answered in Dissolution but now we need the rest of them to be.

This book is all about Healing, Lila physically and Lila and Nathan mentally.

Broken heart, broken body, and broken soul. Not sure I can get more broken than that."

Now before they can heal each other, they need to heal themselves

In this book we see a whole other side to Nathan. At first I was like who is this impostor and where is my filthy Nathan? :D

But... I have come to Love this deeply troubled man.

This was not the Nathan I knew. The mask was gone, and for the first time I was seeing the true Nathan without any inhibitions. He was raw and lay bare before me. He was stunning. More beautiful than usual in his agony."

Lila and Nathan are two very broken souls and being together can lead to one or two things...

Destruction of each other or they can heal each other.

This is a tug of war of RAW emotions.
Can these two overcome their broken messed up past? Is love enough to get passed all the hurt and pain?

"I’m yours. All that I am, if you want it. I’m not much, but I know I can be so much more with you.”

Thank God we got glimpses of dirty mouthed Nathan! God I love him!!

"“I resigned myself to a solitary existence. Convinced myself I would never love again. And then you came crashing into my life. You didn’t fawn over me like the others, and you saw through my façade into the man hiding inside: destroyed and angry.”

"I hate it, but you now will have scars that match my own. Together we make one whole person,” “Together we are one whole heart, one whole soul.”

Well done to K.I.Lynn, this series is a definite must read for everyone!!!

5 VERY BLOODY IMPRESSED STARS...

WOW! I read Infraction, was completely engrossed by it, loved it, devoured it and when I finished it, all words to describe it left me! You know when words seem small and ineffective, just useless empty expressions and not as trenchant as you want them to be! Therefore I will let others' words that are more eloquent describe how 'INFRACTION' SPOKE TO ME!!

Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars.
Khalil Gibran

man cannot reap love until after sad and revealing separation, and bitter patience, and desperate hardship.
(Khalil Gibran, "The Prophet")

Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.
Lao Tzu

Love does not begin and end the way we seem to think it does. Love is a battle, love is a war; love is a growing up.
James A. Baldwin

Love takes off masks that we fear we cannot live without and know we cannot live within.
James A. Baldwin

I was so glad to see the growth of Nathan and Lila in this one, the love they had for one another, their willingness to drop the masks and their determination to survive their horrendous pasts- pasts that will leave scars yet shape the people that they are in the present!

Well Done Ms Lynn, looking forward to Reciprocity...

Let me start by saying I am a dirty talking whore monger..so if that offends you off the bat don't read my review and you can read this book but maybe shy away from book one. This book was AH-MAZING..it was full of emotion and got to the core of why these two broken souls were made to put each other back together..

Being a self described stalker of this author I have gone to bat for the way the first book can be misconstrued by disney princess reading debutantes, and I implore those said naysayers to read this book. You won't be sorry. It will put a face on why these two have the functioning dysfunctional relationship that they do. I realize two people can read the same book and come up with totally different views I just want to go on record as saying mine is right! :)

For those dirty talking lovers like me you may be disappointed in this follow up to Breach. It strays from the bam bam thank you ma'am straight up dirty mouthing choke fest that we all loved. It is a more emotional journey of Lila and Nathan, but like Dissolution had me at page one. You owe it yourself, to me, to Lila and Nathan to read this book with an open heart and mind and know at around 60% (kindle speak) I was..
[image error] photo body-ready1_zps60366208.gif

Best part is no cliffie like in book one..you still are looking for answers and Lila and Nathan's story is far from over but you don't want to pull your hair out in frustration..it actually made me feel a little more..

Nathan felt guilty about what happened to Lila. Now, Nathan will do anything to show Lila what she meant to him. But Lila, doubts his sincerity, after all, it was Nathan who ends their “relationship”. So, I can’t blame Lila for giving him the cold shoulder and “if looks could kill” attitude. Which he deserves, by the way! Nathan won’t give up that easily, he became attentive of Lila’s need and really using his charming personality to swoon her. And swoon he did, and before you know it, they’re at it again the hot-off-the-chart sexy scene. Make-up sex is HOT!!!

What I also enjoy is the healing process of Nathan and Lila. Together, they were able to confront their past, became stronger and more open to each other. Moreover, I like how Lila faces up the "boob squad" who continue to bully and belittle her. They didn’t see it coming that our feisty heroine knows how to stand up for herself.

After reading Breach, I became instantly a fan of this author. This book proves how good she is in writing this series. I cannot wait to read the next installment of Nathan and Lila’s story. I highly recommend this series because meeting Nathan Thorne is worth it!!!

I was so excited to start this second book, after the sizzling first book that featured Nathan and Delilah. The ending of "Breach" (book #1)had quite the cliffhanger, and the author left us waiting on the edge of our seat to find out if Delilah would survive after her car accident or not. I was horrified and extremely eager to dive right in to Book two! I had such high hopes for this sequel, only to be let down in a big way. The intense, possessive, aggressive, dirty talker; Nathan Thorne was absent for the most part of this book and in his place was a broken man who just seemed to be wishy washy for my tastes. I even began to wonder if they would ever have sex in this book. I went through 64% of this book with no sexual encounters; and in its place there was a concentration on relationship therapy for this once highly physical couple. I felt like I was watching a Dr. Phil episode most of the time, and eventually I became frustrated and bored. It wasn't a terrible story, it just was so different from the first. I honestly felt like I was reading a different series altogether. Don't get me wrong, it was nice to know that Delilah and Nathan loved each other enough that they wanted to better themselves in a healty way, and grow as a couple. That is so great, and maybe if my expectations weren't for a different kind of story, I would have enjoyed it more.

I am glad to report that I did catch a glimpse of the old Nathan that I adored so much in "Breach." When they finally give in to their chemistry, dark and gritty Nathan came back for a bit!
I do have to mention that Lila irritated me a bit, with her getting upset that Nathan hadn't let his late wife and baby go. Also, she felt he loved his wife more than he loved her. Who does that?? What an awful thing to want; to make a person who lost their family brutally feel badly for having such strong feelings for them. If I had ever lost a spouse and child, I would most definitely NOT be able to ever fully get over them. It angered me that she even would expect that from him.

I don't mean to make this book sound all negative, becauase it wasn't. It was just too different from the first. I still highly recommend this series, and maybe if people are a bit more prepared that this story has a total different tone to it, then they will enjoy it more. Another positive point, NO cliffie!!! YAY!! There is more story to tell; but this one leaves us at a good place where I am satisfied to wait until Book three! And yes, I will still read book three, as Nathan (my dirty talking stud!)has gotten under my skin, and fingers crossed that the next installment will deliver a lot more steam!!!

In Breach , we were introduced to the erotic fling between Nathan and Delilah. Their emotions became entangled, but their traumatic pasts were hard to overcome. Being together meant knocking down some walls and while Delilah had a wrecking ball ready, Nathan was too afraid to take the leap. In Infraction , we got to deal with all of the anguish these characters were dealing with, hoping and praying they would find a way to cope and be together.

My heart broke for Nathan. I think the author did a remarkable job of capturing his anxiety, his pain, his doubts and insecurities, and his desolation. This man was broken in so many ways. His scars carved deep. His whole life imploded and he was having trouble picking up the pieces. And then there's Lila, who is so far from okay that her mask is cracking. She's been inured to believe that she is worthless by the people who were supposed to love and care for her, abused physically and emotionally, and she's damaged in ways that can't be seen. I loved how the author illustrated her trauma without making it seem repetitive. It was easy to see her as a victim and I was urging her to become a survivor. I think after facing off with one of her attackers, she will now be on the road to becoming one.

I'm looking forward to the fallout from the confrontation at the end. I'm sure the trial will bring up even more pain for Lila and I'm so happy that Nathan seems to be stronger than ever. He'll be there to bolster her and support her as needed. There's still two more books and I wonder what the author will throw at us next.

"I want us together; I want us happy and healthy. No more masks, just Lila and Nathan."

description

This story starts off right where we left our two broken characters in the first book of this series. Lila has woken up in the hospital completely banged up. Nathan is desperate to see her and beg for her forgiveness. Nathan is prepared to reveal his past, his insecurities and work on a relationship with Lila.

”I’m not much, but I’m all yours.
Everything I am. I know I’ll fuck up, but I promise you will never feel unloved or unwanted ever again.”

This couple goes through a lot of emotional growth together. They are in therapy separate and as a couple and their relationship and trust slowly builds till a reader is confident that a forever is more than possible for them.

I enjoyed the realistic progression of their relationship and love how they built such a secure foundation with the love and support of friends and family.

They face a lot of obstacles within themselves and outside forces but a reader should be pleased that this story doesn’t have a cliffhanger ending but a happy for now scenario.

"She was love, and she was life. She would be my resurrection, and in this new life, the fates would bind me to her and she would make me whole."

Just throwing this out there...I would really love if Reciprocity is written in alternating pov.

“Broken heart, broken body, and broken soul. Not sure I can get more broken than that.”

Lila and Nathan’s story continues right where it left off in Breach. Lila is at her lowest point ever having finally found love and then to have it shattered by the very one she entrusted with her heart. It was also at this point that Nathan realizes that no matter what he fears, walking away from Lila would be his biggest regret.

This book focuses on Lila and Nathan’s journey back to trusting, loving and being with one another. I was dragging in reading this and I think it was because Ms. Lynn did such a great job of capturing all of the nuances of the healing process. It was a difficult read. It was sad, long and at times, painful, and when you think they've made it, there would be set backs.

This was very cathartic and healing. I so want Nathan and Lila to get their HEA!

Gitte: So we finally got it; the next instalment in the journey of Lila and Nathan and wow did it make for an emotional and compulsive read. Infraction is about Lila and Nathan primarily healing themselves before they can heal their love for one another and embark on a more stable relationship that’s a little less frantic and intense. Well, for them anyway because you’d be hard pressed to find two more broken souls.

“I once said he was a contradiction, and I was beginning to see I was becoming one myself….” – Lila

We learnt so much about them both individually, through them working out their issues which re-affirmed why I loved them so much in the first place. Sure, we had the steam factor and that filthy mouth of Nathan’s which I LOVE, but there was such added depth and emotion in Infraction that it surpassed my expectations of a sequel.

“This was not the Nathan I knew. The mask was gone, and for the first time I was seeing the true Nathan without any inhibitions. He was raw and lay bare before me. He was stunning. More beautiful than usual in his agony.” – Lila

Lila has to overcome the fear from her past and the threats still invading her life and Nathan has to forgive himself and work through the immense guilt complex he carries around. It’s still gritty, raw and intense but this time we have healing and self – discovery added in, making for a fabulous balanced sequel. Don’t you agree Jenny?

“I’m so sorry. This wouldn’t have happened if I…..” – Nathan

“If you what? Hadn’t left me? Broken me? Left me a shell of the paper thin person I already was before you? If that’s even possible.” – Lila

Jenny: Oh Honeybear I am in love with this series. It messes with my head, it gives me whiplash and I love every single conflicted minute of it!!! In Infraction we were treated to a different side of Nathan. We got to scratch the surface of this very troubled and complex man. Wow, to say Lila and Nate are messed up is an understatement. What these two have experienced in their pasts is unfathomable.

“Broken heart, broken body, and broken soul. Not sure I can get more broken than that.”

How they deal, mentally and physically may seem foreign to others but to them it’s their abnormal normality.

I loved getting this different perspective of Nathan and I admired Lila for the resolve she held throughout even though inside she wanted to crumble. These two very damaged souls really do become whole when they are together. Each completes a part of the other that no one can decipher their wants and needs other than them.

We saw so much growth in these characters in Infraction and yes, it exceeded my expectations too Gitte.

Gitte: We start off where we left off with Lila in the hospital after having been in a car accident. Lila is broken both physically and psychologically and has to learn to trust Nathan, trust love and let go of the ledge of self – protection and independence she clings to. She has to learn to place herself in the hands of others. She has to open her heart, learn to not only believe she is worthy of love but also forgive and learn to trust Nathan too.

“…it’s hard to fight for someone you never thought you deserved…” – Lila

The chemistry is still there, their love such a powerful and tangible emotion, yet we find them trying to learn how to reach each other, work through the stumbling blocks without it turning to a ‘fight’ in the bedroom. The tension and angst is tremendous but so beautiful and honest that when it came to the passion it was off the charts because they are so much more now and we saw and felt their struggle to work at it. Their relationship grew as did my love for these characters.

Possession, obsession and passion … yeah I loved it, it made me tear up several times too! I need lovey hugs Jenny!!

Jenny: The chemistry is there in spades G, but I was captivated with the way KI Lynn executed this story. She slowly built us up to a point when the anticipation was so raw and unforgiving! K I Lynn fed us little tidbits, she slowly teased us cruelly and deliciously, allowing us to see the man beneath the filthy mouth and intense, aggressive sexual urges. We were treated to so much emotion in this Infraction

“He needs to know you love him.” <?i> Darren
“I do need to know that, so much.” - Nathan

For Lila and Nathan, the aggressiveness , the pure animalistic act of their sexual encounters is their key to their communication, it’s their lifeline. To an outsider this may seem foreign, uncomfortable and even wrong, but to the reader the author has you believing, she has you salivating at every expressive, intense and very passionate moment between these two characters.

But in Infraction we experience the other side to this couple as they make headway into moving forward in their relationship, how they learn to deal with their own and each other’s emotional as well as physical needs.

“I’m not much, but I’m all yours.” Everything that I am. I know I’ll fuck up, but I promise you will never feel unloved or unwanted again.” – Nathan

I was completely and utterly invested in Nathan and Lila and this book was such a progression in their relationship. Even though opening up, trusting and dealing with their issues is extremely painful and raw for them, they take that leap and the author really does set the scene for a passionate, gripping and very, very raw instalment.

Gitte: Oh Nathan, you made my heart melt this time, with your patience, your perseverance, your vulnerability and your honesty. The way you looked after Lila…..sigh!! I loved Nathan even more, although we don’t see as much of ‘filthy mouthed Nathan’ in Infraction, we see a side of him that just….well yeah, melts you into a puddle on your kindle. This man is GORGEOUS!!!! Nathan has to put all his cards on the table and let Lila in. His story is heart-breaking and no man could ever not carry demons after the tragedy he’s seen and experienced. He has a lot to learn and let go and he has to work at it. But Nathan knows what he wants so he steps up and goes about achieving just that. He wants Lila!

So yeah I loved Infraction and despite there not being a cliff-hanger, I can’t wait for the third instalment; Reciprocity!!

“Feelings aren’t right or wrong, they just are, and we can accept all feelings no matter what they are. Remember that. Feelings aren’t wrong. If you can take that in, it will free you up.” – Darren

Jenny: I absolutely loved this instalment. He completely melted me and my heart ached for him. Nathan, so lost, so full of pain and Lila, who has never experienced the love and protection every child, every human deserves , sees in Nathan everything she has been denied until this point.

“He was angry for me. I’d never had anyone that passionate about protecting and keeping me happy and safe”

In Lila, Nathan has found his reason for living. This broken woman who has so much to give. Both must open their hearts and minds to the possibilities, to a future, but it will take work. You can’t undo years of mental and emotional abuse and these two have a long road ahead of them.

“I’m yours. All that I am, if you want it. I’m not much, but I know I can be so much more with you.”

I completely devoured Infraction. I had no idea where the story was going nor where the author was taking us with these characters and I loved twits and turns that ensued. This was another heart-breaking journey of two lost and damaged people trying to heal, trying to love, trying to find happiness and facing their pasts and fighting their demons. It’s painful. It’s intense . It’s honest and raw, It’s passionate, but it’s also injected with humor and warmth and when” Honeybear” come out of that extremely filthy mouth….well….thud!

“I’ve been bad. I need a time out.”

Oh you’ve been bad Nathan. Very, very bad and we wouldn’t change a thing! I definitely need lovey hugs Honeybear! Bring on Reciprocity I say!

“I want to live again…with you. You’ve changed my world. I’m altered, no longer stuck in purgatory.”
