The Quest to Control the Power of the Seers Continues…
After successfully destroying the Guild’s Purification Center in Chicago, The Lost Seers, led by Joel Akida and Lilli Knight, embark upon a world-wide mission to save their kind from the tyranny of the Guild and unveil their greatest weapon – The Restoration Project. Developed in secret, The Restoration Project has the potential to awaken the supernatural ability within every man, woman, and child on earth and bring down the very foundation of the Guild’s power and authority.

But the Guild has other plans. Driven by the necessity for control, Crane Le Dieu creates The Red Order, a new league of clairvoyants whose sole purpose is to hunt down and annihilate the Lost Seers. Without the Guild’s mind-controlling drugs, The Red Order is able to develop its gifts far beyond the capacity to see the future, honing their skills to become the ultimate threat against the Lost Seers. But the question remains – will the power of The Red Order be enough to defeat them?

The Red Order continues the epic battle for freedom which began in Order of the Seers, revealing the secret motives behind an organization that exists to exploit and a renegade movement that seeks to usher in the next phase in human evolution.

My name is Cerece Rennie Murphy, but, among my 5 siblings, I am known and teased by my superhero name, Wonder Worry, (and yes, I am a little worried about your reaction to what I just said). While in my youth, I used my superpower to whip minor setbacks into epic tragedies in 60 seconds flat, I no longer have the time to hone the skills I once possessed, which were handed down to me VERY CAREFULLY by my mother and her mother before.

Instead of spending my days imagining worst case scenarios, I am now on the front lines of true disaster prevention – treading the fine line between boo-boos and permanent brain damage, fighting crimes of curiosity, omission, absent-mindedness and sleep deprivation. I carry others down the winding, bumpy road of youth that starts out at the nexus of unique and brilliant but intersects with narcissistic serial killer at some distant point I hope fervently to avoid. As you might have guessed, I am a wife and mother of 2 small children. Luckily, my family lights up the sky so I never stumble too hard or lose my way.

I would lament the luxury of needless worry, but alas, I don’t have the energy. As I write this, I am losing a battle fought between my trusty sponge and a hardened glob of half-eaten cheese that traveled from the kitchen to the living room rug in the palm of a very small, but mischievous hand. Its stronghold on the fibers suggests occupancy of at least 2 days, but I’ll never know for sure. Rather than despair, I’ve chosen to retreat to my keyboard, noting that I have won the war - most of the rug is un-cheesed.

Before I worried. Now, I write.

The Red Order Review

Book Rating: 4 stars out of 5.

Story Line: 4 stars out of 5. I really enjoyed this book. It was still as interesting as the first one. In the beginning of the novel you see Liam and Alessandra escaping from a home that they were living in. The Guild was after them again. In the previous book they destroyed the Purification center in Chicago. A lot of events happened in this novel, but I don't remember a lot of it now. I think it's because the last book really just made me angry. (I will probably write a kind of rant review for the last book. I was really disappointed with most of that book.) All I remember is that the Guild is trying to create a new brand of Seer. They wanted to make them more powerful than the Lost Seers. The Guild takes them off the Luridium. I also remember the Lost Seers wanting to help others unlock their powers. They do a few television commercials against the Guild again. I also remember that a new creature was introduced in this book. The Red Order Seers also get into a fight with the Lost Seers. The Red Order seers were still weaker than the Lost Seers. They question why, but the Lost Seers know how to control their powers better than the Red Order. I do remember the ending. Lily does kill Crane by ascending to another level and unleashes something evil. The ending really did not make me want to continue the series, but I did anyway. I don't like not finishing series, but there might be times that I will. (I give all books a chance.)

Characters: I really loved Lilith, Liam, and Joel. They were the best characters in this book.
I didn't really enjoy a lot of the new characters except for one, but I forgot her name. She at least didn't want to be apart of the Guild anymore.
I really didn't like Alessandra still. She was really annoying. I don't really like her attitude.
I miss Marcus in this book.

Writing Style: 5 stars. I found the writing style to be beautiful. I just wish the story was a little more memorable for me. The last one being such a disappointment for me...really made me forget a lot of what happened in this one.

Holy Cow does Cerece Rennie Murphy know how to write a great book series. In this book The Lost Seers are on the run trying to escape The Guild still, who have know created a Red Order using a variation of their control drug. The Guild is painting The Lost Seers into a corner adamant that The Lost Seers are bad and up to no good, even making them wanted kids.

Joel and Lilli are trying testing a theory that will allow everyone to become a seer, and letting people know being a seer isn't a bad thing. The same thing Dr. Ming learned long ago that there is a way to make everyone a seer.

We also learn how bad Crane Le Dieu really is, having himself turn into a beast that is hunting The Lost Seers to steal their sight for his own gain.

This book was incredible with the ups and downs and The Guild falling apart when the truth keeps slipping out and threatening what Crane is trying to create! Can't wait to see what's next for The Lost Seers!

Is this even better than the first book??? Lots of action with an intensity that takes your breath away. You literally will not be able to put the book down. Great storyline with a plot that pulls all the characters together smoothly.

Marcus, Alessandra, Liam and Lilli were the first to successfully escape The Guild and was labeled the Lost Seers. As their powers stretched, they were joined by other Seers. In this book, Joel and Lilli become the main characters in the fight against The Guild. By this time, Crane of the Guild is frustrated as all his attempts to apprehend them are unsuccessful. He trains a group of Seers named the Red Order he believes is strong enough to overpower The Lost Seers. They are not.

The Seers of The Red Order are fed lies and manipulated by The Guild to believe the Lost Seers were responsible for the deaths of their families. They are told, the Lost Seers are weak, and they are strong. That a battle with them will be swift and successful. What a wonderful surprise when they see the truth.

Crane is evil and the secret behind his evil intentions are revealed. The Lost Seers have more enemies than they thought.

There are strong connections developed between Joel and Lilli, Alesandra and Liam that are wonderfully written. Because this is a YA series, there are no erotic scenes, but the romance was very well written, nonetheless.

Great read. Now, on to the next book.

Doesn't disappoint

I am really liking the novelty of the series. It's not so much a new or unique idea but rather a spin on what a seer is and how they came about, and because there is a part of all of us that longs to be out of the ordinary, it holds enormous appeal.
There is also the introduction of a new creature. At first I wasn't sure about this. It felt like an add-on but I went with it and was fascinated. It worked and made sense. I think it is the very human emotions of the characters that pulls us in to ignore everything but their journey. The suspension of disbelief is thus easy for us and allows the story to lead us forward.
This is a very good YA/everybody read. There is enough depth to please all ages and I am loving how all the characters and the events interweave with each other, the past and what is to come.
This second book did not disappoint and am already reading the next and last one.

Great continuation to the series. There's a lot of moving parts, action packed, emotionally thrilling. Lilli is my favorite character. She is strong, independent and just a badass seer. I like how they are discovering a new ways their powers work. Each seer has their own unique talent that's a wide range of power. Can't wait to read the last book.

Well

I wasn't expecting that! I knew when Joel started talking about connecting with their creator things could get strange. From the first book I put Crane in his own category of evil. Still wasn't prepared for what happened.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange of an honest review.

Oh My Gosh! Cerece has created a fabulous sequel to the Order of the Seers. I have to give this beauty a full on 5 star rating because everything I needed was there! The romance, the action, the pace, the characters -- were simply magnificent.

Lilith is such an amazing character. In every way she is beautiful, peaceful and seeks to help others. I think her abilities are highly superior than all the others, including Joel and Marcus, because what she was able to do to Crane blew my mind away. Lilith definitely has a lot in store for her future and I am pretty sure her new gifts will begin to show pretty soon. I enjoyed the power she kicked into, but where did it come from? Was her mother also like that?

Joel is the perfect husband! He tried his hardest to protect Lilith, but knew he couldn't. He stopped at nothing to find her. I loved how he spoke to the people in Cuba about the human trails and gave them the truth. Liam and Alessandra are still kickass and awesome. The love for another is perfect and the protective heart they have for Lilith is amazing. I love it!

Miguel definitely turned over a new leaf from what he did in Order of the Seers. From a killer to helping take down the Guild -- he definitely has gotten some love from me. I don't blame him though at all, he was lied to like everyone and the lies were smooth. I am proud of what he did and sad for his downfall.

The Red Order was just a group of confused and lied to Seers. I was happy when they all discovered the truth about Crane's lies. Nina and Michael definitely did their hardest to help the Lost Seers, but did they really die? What happened to them? Tyrol makes me wonder if he was one of Crane's legions simply because he was the only one who could see through Crane's true self.

Crane is one hell of a deceptive character. I cannot believe what he is -- I totally did not expect it to occur or even be powerful. No wonder he is so devious and likes the sight of blood. He is simply evil all around. The way he lied to the Guild and Seers only to benefit himself was ridiculous. I don't get why no one could see through his craziness. I need to understand him more, I just have to know.

The Red Order was the perfect sequel to this trilogy. I am totally starting to love this trilogy so much. It's time crack open the final book, The Last Seer, and see the end results.

This book is so intense. I really enjoyed how everyone in the book seems to be so much more evolved than the last book. I love Lilli and Joel and the relationship that they have. It's a beautiful thing. The author did a great job of helping me feel the connection those two had.

We meet Crane Le Dieu in this book, and right from the beginning he was someone I didn't like. He isn't even a character I love to hate...I just didn't like him at all. Which to me means the author did a good job of writing him in as a bad guy!

Joel and Liam are my favorite characters by far. They are such great men, who would do anything for those that the love. Their unwavering loyalty to their "family" is so touching. It seems as though because they are so fiercely loyal it is they who have to face the hardest times in the book. The fact that they face those times, and only come out stronger makes me love them even more. This book brought each of the characters to life for me, even more than the first book. Especially Joel and Liam. I just love them.

The Seers are in a constant struggle to stay safe, and to show the world who they really are. The Seers are faced with a new creature in this book, that goes beyond human. The constant battle they have to go through to be safe and to keep those they love safe is so exhausting, and fabulous. This book kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

My ONLY complaint about this book is the stupid F-word used so many times. It's just so unnecessary. Again this totally would have been a 5 for me if it wasn't for the f-bomb so often. Although it is MUCH less in this book than the first, and there are not any sex scenes in this book as descriptive as the first book. It is done so much better in this book.

“I received a free copy of the book from the author for my honest opinion. I was in no way compensated for this review and all opinions are expressly my own”

Once again, Ms. Murphy has done the unthinkable. What you thought you knew about the seers and their oppressors, is brought into question. With the passing of old characters you are introduced to new ones that burrow their way into your heart with their bravery.

I’ve always believed that the talent. The measure of a great author is the ability to make readers care about each character and this author did just that. I’m wracking my brain and trying to silence it, there are so many possibilities and I am anxious to get my hand one the next book in this series.

This time my only complaints come from the lack of Lilli and Joel. Last book you got everything and then some regarding Liam and Alessandra and you get a glimpse at the connection between Lilli and Joel but this time with the exceptions of a few scenes at the end, there really isn’t any development on their part. As for the POV jumps that confused and irked me in the last book, this one is a considerable cake walk. Once you get your mind wrapped around the writing style of this author, its easy to fall into the rhythm. But my next complaint it more to do with the title. It’s a bit misleading as there is not much written about ‘The Red Order’. They appear as a group only a handful of times and individually. I was expecting more interaction between them and ‘The Lost Seers’ but sadly there was not.

I received a copy in exchange for my honest review.
There are few sequels that I like and think are better than the first book...very few I tell you BUT The Red Order is definitely more amazing than the first book. It is full on action packed, the romance is the most beautiful thing in the world, the twists, the plot, the characters...everything is perfect and they all fit together so well.

As I mentioned for the first book, I love Liam and Alessandra and will always love them but Lilli and Joel are the cutest and most amazing couple ever. They are both powerful but Lilli is definitely one that every reader has his/her eyes on. I believe Lilli is destined for greater things. She stays so true to herself and to those that she loves that she will do anything to save them and be there for them.

In this sequel, a lot of lies are told and when those lies come to light, people turn over a new leaf and I loved reading about that happening because there was one specific person that was loyal to the Guild and he decided to help the seers once he found out he was being lied to about what was really happening or rather, going to happen at the Guild and it's real purpose.

Cliff-hanger! Gah, this was just amazing. It was bone-chilling. I got goosebumps while reading this story and then that ending!

Liam, Lilli and their friends are still on the run from The Guild, who in retaliation for not being able to hunt down and capture the 'Rogue Seers' have developed a team to hunt them down and take them out. The Red Order, armed with lies and drugs are in for a rude awakening if they believe their task to be an easy one. Secrets and motivations are starting to come to light and facade's are beginning to unravel. Will the public finally see who is on the side of good and who isn't?

Cerece really surprised me with this instalment, it had all the good points from the first book and brought them to a whole other level. The story was really fast paced, action packed and slightly darker than the first book - which worked well for me. The world building and character development added depth to the existing story and added layers and depth to the characters. I feel more invested in the outcome now and the twists at the end have me eager for the next one!

After they were able to destroy the Guild’s Purification Center in Chicago, Now Joel and Lilli, embark on a mission to save their kind from the tyranny of the Guild and unveil their greatest weapon – The Restoration Project. Developed in secret, this project has the potential to awaken the supernatural ability within everyone earth and bring down the Guild’s power and authority.

Without the Guild’s mind-controlling drugs, The Red Order is able to develop its gifts far beyond the capacity to see the future, honing their skills to become a huge threat against the Lost Seers.
Crane is like the ultimate villain. He even makes himself someone who can steal the Seer's powers. The problem is that the truth keeps coming out. This one is just as fast paced as the first. This book was an excellent 2nd book. I am ready for the finally book!

My opinion: I knew looking at the powerful cover of this book that I was in for a rockin' ride and Cerece didn't disappoint.

As with the first in the series, characters were really well developed and multidimensional. A number of the characters were carried over from the first, but Ms. Murphy did well to introduce some new characters, including new vilians.

As my warning as with the first one, although I feel that this is an excellent introduction to Dystopian literature, due to language and some sexual and violent scenes, I would stress older teens or young adults. I must admit that I did have a harder time with some of the more graphic violence in this novel, but won't go into it because that would be a spoiler and we know how much I abhor spoilers!

The author has an uncanny knack for making the reader feel every bit a part of the story and experiencing the characters' emotions. You'll want to see them succeed and defeat the ultimate corruption. The plot was paced well and never, at any point, did I feel it ever dragged.

I really don't want to give any huge details away but there was a twist to this plot which took me by surprise. I really thought I knew where this book and series was headed but the author pulled a fast one on me. It's a development I really enjoyed, as it opened up a whole new realm of possibilities for the third book. I'm really looking forward to where she takes it. Order of the Seers is shaping up to be a fantastic series already and I highly recommend it.

the trilogy just keeps getting better. again cerise loves a lot of characters and they are constantly moving and have parts to tell in the story .....i absolutely could not put it down, no seriously, i couldn't. the sublimal messages come across stronger as you begin to realize where the seers are being blessed from as they begin to train to prepare for a battle that was destined to happen.

where is the last book, i have to see this to the end.

stay away from this trilogy if you make the mistake that i made and just purchase the first book because you are going to read it to the finish as the seers are screaming to tell yu the whole story .... one book won't do!!!!

thanks cerece for a captivating adventure

I literally gobbled this sequel up. I loved the new facets in the characters that we got to see, as well as the intensity of the story. I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the next installment! I have read, and reread both of the books in this story, and just talking about them makes me want to reread them again! I have turned on so many people in my family to this, and I would recommend it to anyone!

I loved the first book and it kept me on edge, but book 2 managed to be even better. I bought the book from the author and she warned me I’d be really mad at her when I finished, she was right. The ending was a complete surprise. Awesome writing, great story and it totally pulls you in! I highly recommend this book and the series.

This follows the first book and there are some new characters here... It answers some of the questions from the first book. It's still very fast-paced and lots more actions... My only complaint is that it's even darker this time in this book....
