A Debt Repaid

Rate this book
Lex Talionis (n.)- The law of retaliation, whereby a punishment resembles the offense committed in kind and degree.

Two wrongs. One right. He met her under the worst circumstances. She was still married. To the man who'd stolen from his company. But none of that would matter, because Chase would have her. At any cost.

To Chase Blaine, it really was that simple. Douglas Colton had stolen millions from Chase’s company. He had to pay. Chase had every intention of cornering the bastard and making sure he ended up in jail.

Then he came face-to-face with Douglas’s wife, Aria. One look at her changed all his plans, warping them into a much darker and perverse plot to get his revenge.

He would offer Douglas his freedom...in exchange for a single date with his wife.

To a man like Chase, a man that hadn’t truly felt emotions in a long time, Aria’s presence soon became more addicting than a drug. A problem considering that she might never forgive him for blackmailing her, despite the fact that at times she seems just as unwillingly fascinated by him as he is by her.

He was planning on seducing her until the word "no" was erased from her vocabulary. He would have her somehow. Morals be damned.

One man, used to get what he wants.
One woman, no longer blind.
A smoldering attraction.
A simple plan.

When billionaire Chase Blaine finds out that his employee was stealing form him, goes to confront him and crash him to the ground. But laying eyes on his beautiful wife makes him question his plans. Now, he has an indecent proposal. He will not sent Douglas to prison for a date with his gorgeous wife.

description

Sounds fair, huh?

Aria Colton doesn't think so. She has had enough of her lying, cheating and apparently thieving husband. She doesn't want for him to go to jail but that doesn't mean that she will whore herself for his sake. Now it's the time to make to get rid of him and start thinking of making the most of her life. The only problem? Her mind is stuck to a pair of fathomless blue eyes.

description

Thus begins a game of cat and mouse, where both are unable to resist the almost palpable connection among them. I liked that this love story is portrayed as a physical need not an ethereal being. The pair shares an animalistic attraction and on their minds aren't sonnets and poems, but sweat and writhing bodies.

Sweet and with surprising lighthearted moments,

"The babies, Aria. Think of the babies. You could very well be the key to humanity's future perfection. It all starts with you. You'd be the grandmamma of the new Aryan race."

description

I really enjoyed this book until the finale and the, what I'd like to call, WHAT-THE-HELL moment, where the unsuspecting reader finds out that nothing is really resolved and the story continues and the next book isn't out yet *sob*...

Chase, we will be meeting soon!!!

As readers, we can all claim to have favorite authors and N. Isabelle Blanco happens to be one of mine.

However, I cannot finish reading this story and here's why:

* It's boring, especially when it comes to Aria's perspective.
* I'm used to Blanco's originality and flair for drama, suspense and sexiness. This book lacked all of those.
* Aria came off as very pathetic and that's me being polite. I found it impossible to sympathize with her. After all that her husband had done (stealing millions of dollors that he didn't even spend on her, cheating on her left and right), she was still defending him and using her tired refrain of "I'm married." It's more than obvious, even to the casual observer, that he didn't love or respect her.
* Aria made my tummy hurt. I was thoroughly disgusted and I had to dismiss her because I couldn't understand what about her was worth all of the trouble or money wasted. Walmart sells doormats for as low as $10!
* Aria directed her anger all in the wrong place. Why be mad at Chase? Did he make your husband embezzle, not pay the bills, make you broke and lose your house? Did he force your husband to cheat on you ALL THE TIME?!

Chase's part of this story is the only thing that truly held my attention. His character intrigued me and was the only reason I found any enjoyment in the parts of the story that I read. If the entire story was told from his perspective, I'd probably have read this book until its end.

Aria = please no
Chase = more please

Oh my god!!!!!!!!! I absolutely LOVE this book. The characters of Aria and Chase are just perfect. Chase comes off as an asshole at first ( who doesnt love an asshole ;) ) but very quickly redeems himself. Aria is a woman who is confused yet knows what she wants she just has to figure out how to get it and keep it. The sexual tension with Chase and Aria is one for the ages, at times I was ready to smack Aria up beside the head. However you want to say it, the sex, the lemony goodness, the straight on f$&king is AWESOME, and i want MORE :) Ms.Blanco draws the readers in from the start, and keeps you intrigued and wanting more.

Aria Colton fell in love at sixteen and ten years later finds herself married to a cheat who stole over three million dollars from his employer. Chase Blaine hasn't felt any real emotion since the death of his mother when he was five. Yet when Chase goes to confront Aria's husband and sets eyes on her for the first time, the yearning for her is undeniable.

I went into this story thinking that Chase would ask Aria to spend one night with him and he would forgive her husband's transgressions. I imagined Aria would comply and the sexy times would begin. I have never been so happy to have been wrong. So, so wrong.

Even though Aria kicks her whoring hubby, Douglas, to the curb, she still fights against the overwhelming attraction to Chase. I love that she didn't just give in, she fought Chase with everything she had. The intense desire was no where near one sided. Chase craved her like no other singular thing that ever existed in his life.

"He felt like a caged animal. She was just as he’d expected—and a million things more. He’d never been this desperate to fuck a woman. Never been so tempted by just the smell of her."

A Debt Repaid ~ Chapter 16

Even though I desperately wanted Aria and Chase to give into each other, the angst was brilliantly written. The staggering hunger these two experienced as the story progressed was conveyed in such a way that I could literally feel the heat coming off the pages. The end will have you panting for more. Good thing Blanco has promised to continue this story with Damaged Owed and I can't wait for more Chase and Aria.

Thanks so much to N. Isabelle Blanco and MAE Book Tours for granting me a copy of A Debt Repaid in exchange for an honest review.

I want to first start by saying thank you for sending this ARC to me, I stared jumping around like a two year old...J/S. I enjoyed the emotional roller coaster the story took me on. My heart went out to both Aria and Chase. I hate she had to go through what she did with her husband, the feeling of not being wanted by your spouse is not new to me. I wanted to hug her and beat the crap out of Douglas for her. As for Chase my goodness when he finally started to feel again almost sent me to my knees. I can't handle a man in pain it just wreaks me. The chapter where he helped Lori and her son because he understood their situation more than anything, started my tears flowing. And once Aria stood up for herself and kicked Douglas out I was shouting *way to go girl*. With everything those two feel for each other takes my breath away. I guess I'm a little jealous...LOL!!! I hated they have parted ways for now but I can't wait to read more of their journey.
Take care my sweets,

I have read this book twice now and can say that it is even better the second time around. The first time had a lot of new writer errors that I was able to overlook because of it being a new foray into writing. This book has been rewritten and revised and all the early errors that I found were no longer there. I was able to see how far her skill has come as she has progressed in her time as an author. That was thrilling to me because, as someone who pursued a degree in literature knows, nothing is ever finite in writing. It is always evolving and a writer will always grow from the things that they change and learn.

This book reminded me in many ways of the old movie, Indecent Proposal. Even though there were differences in the storyline, the obsession that Chase felt for Aria was much the same. Chase had the world at his feet and none of it mattered, in this case, the millions of dollars that Douglas had stolen, because in his eyes, Aria was worth whatever it took. I liked that aspect of his characterization. He was charismatic and not afraid to show every facet of what made him tick without thought as to how that could be perceived. Aria was an enigma to me. On one hand, I was sympathetic to what she had experienced married to Douglas. However, it was harder for me to understand why she wasn't able to let those feelings go once she discovered everything that Douglas had done in their marriage and not think the worse of Chase. After reading this a second time though, I realized that I was being a tad hard on her character. I think that she was consumed by the powerful man that Chase was. I think she acted out the way that she did because she needed to rediscover herself without being consumed by everything that was Chase.

I look forward to what is in store for these characters in the conclusion that will be coming this fall. I have a funny feeling that things are going to not go as smoothly as I would like and that Douglas is not going to just fade away.

It has hooked me from the first page, especially considering that the story begins with a super hot encounter at a club, so the story started quite well.
The chemistry between the 2 protagonists, Chase and Aria, is off the charts. From the first time they meet, they both feel something uncontrollable taking over, something that goes beyond lust.
Aria is married, but her marriage is over. Her husband has cheated on her and has also stolen money from Chase, who is his boss.
So when Chase goes to claim the money and sees Aria, he finds a perfect solution for him: if Aria agrees to a date with him, he will forgive the debt.
It is a constant struggle for Aria, she tries by all means to resist Chase, but it becomes more and more impossible for her.
The end? It leaves me wanting to continue reading more.
And Brent, Chase's brother, and Lori? That story also promises to be most entertaining.
The first book I read by this author but it definitely won't be the last.

The premise was different. Silly really and I could surely think of another way to recover what was stolen but I still wanted to read this novel. Surprise, surprise, I was bored and Chase is an idiot who is giving away millions for a woman who I don't think is worth it.

We spent more time in the mind of Aria than we did having conversations, learning about the main characters and sifting through the deeds of Douglas. This novel was shallow but packed more intensity than it's topics warranted. Unfortunately, the intensity and feelings didn't match the actual content. Also, someone please give the VP/best friend a name because his name couldn't decide if it was Marcus or Matthew. Depends on the day.

Drop every romance novel cliche with the intensity of every book ever read and you have this story. I don't really know or understand these characters even with it being a dual POV novel. Every one is either angry, really intense or bred from so many cliches that it's impossible to know who they are out of their molds. My favourite character is Adam and the kid is 5 with like 5 minutes of shine.

I understand Aria's reservations but I don't sympathize or connect with her on any other level than she is the one who narrates most of this story. Hilary's character comes in like a tornado and then exit just as fast. As a female, I know that their is that one friend in your life, sometimes more, that you lean on when it all goes belly up. Hilary is suppose to be that friend but she came off more as an alien beamed down to retrieve something and then return to the mother ship. Weird analogy? Possibly, but as I said before, development was not he author's top priority. I know nothing about this woman other than she must be rich, been around a while and she is apparently beautiful and hates Douglas for years. Guess that's all we need.

I honestly believed this story would be memorable and left me reeling needing to read the next but I am pretty sure that I can wait. Obviously, I am gonna wanna know what's next but I am in no rush. It's just plain human curiosity.

I like Chase and I could love his character. We got the most back story about him and got personal with his past and present life. However, there is still a level of indifference to him but I have no deep interest to claw at those barriers to get to the man within. I could however read the entire story from his POV and maybe with another woman. I don't know about him but I am tired of Aria's indecision and uncertainty.

Aria's character is annoying and everything that is wrong with cliched insta-lust, love, regret female heroine's. No one is forcing her to do anything, no one is even in her way. People get separated and date all the time and some even commit crimes and get married while still married. Get off your horse Aria because it doesn't even fit you.

I can see them having that one sex scene but I just can't see them as a couple. I think he can do better and Aria is just plain annoying so I just don't really wanna have to interact with her. I seem to tolerate her more from Chase's POV.

Also, not to be outdone, this story added another cliched couple into the mix with Lori and Brent and while I wasn't rolling my eyes, about 30% into this novel I was over this story. I only continued because I really don't wanna have a DNF. I suspect one day a book will be bad enough to make me finally have that shelf but for now, I powered through to a not as intense as the author thinks sex scene and the blatant irresponsibility didn't even do anything for me. The whole story did nothing for me. I literally wanna pick some characters and points and make a whole new story. I am actually hoping that someone has written a story with this premise but a better delivery.

I wasn't impressed but I wasn't disgusted either. I was just indifferent. I won't even disrespect debut authors by saying that this was debut work. This was just flat, uninspiring, annoying and over before it even began. There was no real direction, chemistry, development or stability. There are sweet touches and a few comedic moments but for the most part I just wanted it to end.

I purchased this book after reading some of this author's previous titles (Blood Flows Deep in the Empire and Blood Stained Tranquility). I beyond loved those ones and had high hopes for this one!

Gah! It was too short!! It could have been 50 pages or 500 pages, I have no idea. All I know is that I wanted more... and more and more!

Okay so, Aria. She's the heroine and I liked her well enough. No, she's not my favorite heroine of all time but I have a feeling that she's going to get better and better as this series continues. We start with Aria in the supermarket, having her credit cards declined. I swear, I had a hot flash! I've been there...I've either used the wrong card or had miscalculated my bank balance and boom, the credit card/debit card is declined. Ugh, is there a worse feeling than that? I mean, the pure terror and the feel of the burn in your cheeks... oy, painful. So this opening scene was tough for me and oh I so wanted Aria to go home and tear her piece of crap husband a new a$$hole!!! Anyways, I was immediately on Aria's team. Later on, I liked her a teensy bit less because she kept waffling back and forth on what she was going to do with Chase, the heroine. Of course, I wanted her to jump in with both feet with this guy! But since she's still working through the emotions of all the crap her husband pulled and through the emotions of realizing that its over with him, I could understand that she was a little out of her mind... LOL!

Chase is...well, I think Chase is a force of nature. I have no idea how Aria was able to resist him. Heck, he's a fictional character and I didn't want her to resist him because I was so into him! Sure, Chase starts off as not a great guy, kind of bullying his way into Aria's life, but that's kind of what I really liked about him. He knows what he wants and he acts. Period. I think we ALL at least occasionally want that kind of guy in our lives. Well, at least I do! (No offense, DH, you know I love you!) Like most characters in books, the more I got to know Chase, the more I liked him. He helps Aria out with some volunteer work and oh my gosh I think I fell in love right then and there! It certainly doesn't hurt that the author makes this guy sound like sex on two legs. Holy crapballs, Batman, he's friggin' hot!!

Of course, I loved Aria and Chase together. I wish there was more of them in scenes together. Actually, I think I need to email the author...she owes me a new Kindle because there were a couple of places that the heat coming off of Aria and Chase kind of melted my Kindle a teensy bit! LOL! My only complaint is that Aria went back and forth on her feelings about Chase a little too much for me. But I WANTED her to like him and to start something with him. I didn't want her to work out how she felt about her husband. Do I need to say it? Okay, yeah, I wanted them to get down & dirty. Are you happy?? I feel like a filthy, filthy girl now... Thanks a lot! ;)

So, if you're looking for hot sex from start to finish, you won't find it here. This one is a slow burn but it's such exquisite torture that I think you might find that you don't mind it so much! I know I didn't mind. But be warned, although there is no real cliffhanger, the story is definitely NOT wrapped up in the end and we're going to have to wait for the next installment to come out. I think this was an excellent start to a fun series and as great as this one was, I think the next one is going to be just as good and off the charts hot!

Oh my goodness...whew...all night I dreamt of Chase Blaine....Can I please have him for myself?

What a great premise for a story. I was hooked right from the beginning. Poor Angela, at the grocery store, a full cart of goodies, and every card is declined. Wow, I'd be pissed off if that happened to me. She heads home in a tizzy, gearing herself up to royally bitch out her husband Douglas when she's punched in the gut by the most beguiling eyes she's ever seen.

Chase thought Aria was "effing magnificent" from the first moment their eyes locked. He knew he'd have his perfect revenge.

Aria, a sympathetic character driven by her desire to help, let her husband get away with everything. He was cheating on her and had embezzled millions of dollars from his employer, Chase Blaine. She really is a lovable character. She's very quiet, reserved, works at a soup kitchen...well, she finds her voice eventually and decides what she wants. And she wants Chase.

"All she had been thinking about, against her will, was sleeping with him. She'd been tormented by the fantasies in her head. The ones where he stopped giving her choice and just took. All she could think about was effing him, no matter how hard she tried not to."

Chase wanted Aria because she made him feel. He stopped having feelings when he saw his mother die by his fathers hand when he was 6. He went through life just taking what he wanted. And if he couldn't just take it, he'd work until he got it. Never feeling, never acknowledging the fact that something was missing until Aria.

Through " I do's and no, I don'ts " the wishy-washy was the only thing that kinda turned me off, but I guess it's part of the story. The way Aria debates and finally decides to let Chase in.,,they have AMAZINGLY HOT sex...and hey, she's still married to Douglas...so, she does what every good girl who just slept with another man does, and runs...

I'm not a hard reviewer, if I like the story and the characters, if it kept me entertained or wanting more, or yeah, to jump my husband, it gets a good review. So, there is nothing better than an Alpha male that tells you exactly what he wants (unless you've already got one, then maybe you'd like someone a little more laid back-the grass is always greener you know) and Chase delivers. If there is a sequel I'll be all over it!

Did the author have an editor? Between the bad spelling, characters name changes (Mathew or Marcus) and the dual POV, I was able to finish the book. So much of the content had no substance just repeating the same thing over and over. Sometimes I felt like I could skip 10 pages and not miss reading anything significant. Eventhough I wasn't thrilled with the book I am interested in what happens next, since I like to have things sorta resolved.

This book was just wonderfully intense and I was all in after the fifth page. What was great about the story is the author uses the characters own emotional stability to drive the chemistry and keep them wanting more from each other. You just keep thinking, this is gonna crash and burn at some point. Two intense people who shouldn't be near each other drawn together by a magnetic force.

Chase is the billionaire who catches Aria's husband stealing from him. Against his brother's wishes, he decides the debt will be settled after Aria goes on a date with him. Chase is so cocky, so brave that he thinks its all he needs to bag the intriguing woman and get back at her husband. He's smart...he knows that going after Aria will hurt more than going to jail or being indebted to Chase forever. Aria agrees but scoffs at Chase. She's married and believes in the sanctity of her marriage. But she's also intrigued.

"It’s official and undeniable to me at this point: I’m attracted to Chase Blaine in a way I’ve never been to anyone before. I’m so out of my depth. I have no clue how to control it, deal with it— get rid of it. Do I have a weakness for dishonorable men?"

She's further pulled into Chase's world and Aria finds him not so dishonorable anymore. Cue the conflict and regret. Blanco does emotion like no one else. Blanco expertly does a charismatic man ready to save Aria's husband and prove he's not so bad. And the way she describes Aria's conflicting emotions is magic. Author Blanco describes instead of telling us, pulling us as the reader straight into Aria's mindset and thought process.

"No, affect is too simple of a word. I’m being destroyed on the inside. It’s a hot, vicious throbbing, one that rattles every inch of me. I hate my weakness."

"The explosion between us is worse than a detonation—it’s a shared , brutal collapse of reason, of sanity . . . of sheer common sense."

Chase and Aria become addicted to one another in a intensely unhealthy way. The kind of way your parents warn you about. And even when Aria comes to some difficult conclusions and hard choices about her marriage, she can't seem to shake Chase.

"I’m quivering as I let go of his wrists and slide my hands up his arms, feeling his muscles tense through his blazer. He’s tilted my head so far back that I can only see the ceiling. Starving for the sight of him, for his touch , for him, I shift in his hold."

I'm in awe of Blanco's way of creating two people trying to avoid temptation but circumstances cause them both to become weak. And that's where you get the feeling that this train is going to fly off the rails in the most beautiful of ways. But maybe I'm wrong? There's a noncommittal cliffhanger that again highlights that intensity between Chase and Aria. Lets see where it goes in book 2.

I really enjoy reading this type of storyline.
Employee stealing from his company, boss retaliates by taking said employees wife.
They are usually edgy and dirty.
So in A Debit Repaid it does have the dirty.
Which was super between Chase and Aria.
But for me it lacked the edgy gritty aspect of it.
Chase Blaine has worked hard and did some low things to achieve what he has.
So when he finds out Douglas Colton has stolen millions from him on gambling and women, he is livid!
Chase goes to his home to confront him about his thieving where he sees Aria Colton.
Upon seeing her he comes up with a plan.
He will not go to the cops with his finds for one date with Aria.
I liked Chase.
I found him intriguing.
We get some background about his past.
And how that past has shaped his present.
It was enough to peak me interest and lookout for more nuggets about his family and their stories.
Aria has been in love with her husband since her mid teens.
She has devoted years into him and gave up going to college for him.
For the past six months things have been estranged between them.
Now seeing Chase in her home she finally understands why.
I liked that Aria was conflicted about her feelings when it came to Chase.
She felt troubled and upset that she is having a physical and emotional reaction to him while still being married.
What I didn’t like was her defending her sleaze of a husband.
After finding out all the nasty disgusting things he has done I can’t fathom why she wouldn’t want him to go to jail.
Aria was so back and forth she made my head spin.
No real drama goes on in the book.
Except Aria’s indecisions.
And Chase’s obsession with her.
I’m looking forward to more Chase, he really kept the story interesting.
And seeing how Aria will reconcile her feelings and her wants.

This book had the hottest alpha I've read in a while!

Chase Blaine is wealthy and sexy and the sexiest thing about him was how much he cared for people. He always looked out for those he cared for and when he met Aria, he instantly felt an attraction towards her. He knew she was married and forbidden but that didn't stop him from trying to pursue her. All he wanted was one date, ONE and then everything would be settled between her husband and Chase. But he knew deep down that it would take much more than just a single date to get this woman removed from his mind and possibly his heart. He cared about her well-being too.

Aria was already living a nightmare with the husband she had. He was a thief, a liar and a cheater. But Aria was still married and she believed in her vows, until.....well, until she didn't anymore. She felt that electricity go through her system the moment she saw Chase at her house too, but she knew that she could only look and that was that.

Aria and Chase may have started off on the wrong foot when she barged in his office fuming through her nostrils about her finding out about the date, but she instantly knew that she needed to go on this one date with him to get him out of her system. Little did either one know that it would take much, much more than just a single date to try and get each other purged from their systems.

Their chemistry was hot, their encounters even hotter! I was all in with Aria and Chase. I have to say that I loved every quality this man possessed and damn, he's now my current book boyfriend!

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review.

I met her under the worst circumstances. She's still married-to the man who robbed from my company. But none of that matters. He stole from me. I plan to steal his wife from him. Because I will have her. At any cost.

This is the story of Aria and Chase. Aria is a woman that is very confused. She knows exactly what she want but does not know how to get it and then keep it. Then there is Chase who at first your not really going to like all that much. But give the guy time. He owns a company and a man has stolen millions of dollars from him. That man just happens to be Aria's husband. This guy is horrible and he cheated on her left and right and I wanted him to leave her or her leave him so bad I couldn't stand it. There is some serious sexual tension between Chase and Aria and he is going to have her as revenge if it is the last thing he ever does. Just when you think there perfect though she is going to get on your nerves. I swear I talked to Aria a million times while reading this book and most of it was kick this guy to the curb. What the heck are you even doing. She will frustrate you too I am sure but you need to give her a chance. This book was really good and one that I couldn't put down. I can't wait to read more in this series!!!

No one takes from Chase and gets away with it, there will always be consequences and when Douglas steals money from Chases company, he decides to take Douglas's wife Aria, and make her his. Aria is in a dead end marriage to her high school sweetheart, whose waist deep in debt, that can be wiped in exchange for one date with Chase.
Only she ends up becoming something far more, someone Chase can't be without. These feelings open a door too a past he had kept hidden deep within himself. This is book 1 in a duet the ends on a cliffhanger. Well written with a heart wrenching story of betrayal by a man Aria devoted her self to and to the torn feelings she has towards a man who would give anything for just a chance. The story line draws you in, questioning what's right and wrong, but has you rooting for Chase and Aria! With suspense, drama, desires, hot scenes and more!
Spoiler*
This book does have scenes of cheating, between the main characters as Aria is still technically married to Douglas.

I got completely enthralled with this story in the first chapter. I did not want to put it down until I got to the last word. Aria was married to her childhood sweetheart but was blind to his betrayals and secrets. She meets Chase when he goes to confront her husband for stealing from him and end up talking her into a date. Their attraction and connection to each other was steamy and off the charts. I liked how both Chase and Aria tried to fight their intense attraction to each other but could not hold out forever. This book was so hot and steamy and I really liked and enjoyed the characters. I will eagerly be anticipating the next story. This was such a good read that I definitely recommend. I received a review copy of this story from the author and am leaving a voluntary honest review.

I loved this story! Chase has gone almost his whole live numb to the world. He turn off his emotion when something tragic happen to someone he really loved. Aria has turned a blind eye to all her husbands doings however when her husband really messes up big time nothing could prepare Aria and Chase for what was going to happen next! Aria once she decided that she was done with Douglas was awesome she knew what she wanted and what she deserved and although she fought it she still ends up giving in and Chase Omg I don't know how to feel about Chase he was I always get what I want and I want you but once you found out about his past you just wanted to hold him and now I need the next book like yesterday!

N. Isabelle Blanco is one of my favorite authors. Loved the story between Chase and Aria. Chase is a demanding alpha who knows what he wants, and that is Aria. Aria’s husband has been stealing from Chase’s company and Chase has decided he wants a date with Aria as repayment. Aria is in a loveless marriage with a loser. So glad she dumped him. I wanted more interaction between Chase and Aria. The ending had me wanting more. Chase is doing all the chasing, and Aria doesn’t know what she wants. I hope She gives in to her desires in the next book. I love the two of them together and can’t wait to see what happens next.

Fantastic Story!

Aria and Chase’s story was amazing. It was filled with intense emotional ups and downs, betrayal, suspense and a whole hell of a lot of steamy moments that had me squirming in my seat throughout.

The instant attraction that Aria and Chase felt the moment their eyes met was so intense that I felt it! There was just something pulling these two together whether it was forbidden or not. The sexual chemistry between them was highly combustible and definitely explosive! It oozed off the pages and had me begging for someone to finally break the tension and just plunge into the unknown. UGH IT WAS SO HOT!!!

I absolutely can’t wait for more of these two!!!

Debt Repaid is the first book in the Retaliation Series which focuses on Chase, a businessman who has an employee who is removing money from his organization, and Aria, the wife of his employee who he will be using a source of revenge against the theft. After requiring Aria to go on a date with him, they eventually develop an intense attraction leading to a sexual relationship. But Aria has strong feelings about the sanctity of her marriage vows and makes a difficult decision. This is an intense and emotional read which ends in a cliffhanger. The next book in the series is titled Damage Owed.

The completely and utterly romantic story in which Chase bursts into Aria's life, blackmails her husband, Doug, into her going on a date with Chase. He then says in front of Aria that he knows that Doug has been unfaithful. He then proceeds to disrespect Aria's boundaries even when she tells him no and to leave her alone, and then he physically and sexually assaults her multiple times in public. After they finish banging, Aria is then full of so much regret and self-loathing over what happened that she literally becomes physically ill as she's sneaking away.

Really romantic. I don't know what you're talking about it.

How far will you go for love? What are you willing to sacrifice? Aria has already given up so much. How much more is she expected to give? Her emotions take a battering by her feeling for Chase and her morals. I can sympathize with her conflict and love how the story ends. I cannot wait to find out what happens next.

It is rare I read a book I can't put down. THIS is one of those books. Heart-pounding, sexy, and left me wanting more! The heroine did get aggravating at times and I definitely want more character development, which I am hoping for in the sequel! This series is off to a great start.

A Debt Repaid by N. Isabelle Blanco. The book is good, and the author has a flair for storytelling that I find entertaining. The chemistry between the main characters is strangely perfect. I found this story to be enjoyable and steamy, a good mix of dark drama, twisted passion, and strong characters. I read this book basically in one go, it has a sense of anticipation all the way through wondering what’s going to happen, their indecision’s in what to do but they just can’t seem to help themselves when it comes to the two of them. The chemistry between them is off the charts ! Great read it does end on a bit of a cliffhanger but you are waiting in anticipation on what’s gonna happen next !
