Deliciously dangerous and cheeky! Lux Anson and Justus Duponte strut through London and stumble through the discovery of life together in this tale of “human nature hidden in the shadows.”

Laced with a huge helping of breadcrumbs laying a trail from past to present, reminiscent of the highs caused by hallucinogens, The Hunter and the Hunted leaves the reader room to try and discern what’s real and what’s fantasy. The setting of London lends a natural air of old mystery and supernatural prowess that makes this story more sultry than some tawdry and cheap American counterparts. Both characters are soulfully detached and it draws you into their private bubble of double yin.

As I read The Hunter and The Hunted, I found at moments I would have to stifle a chortle and at others a small gasp. It is that careful balance of humor, supplied by cheeky lines and sharp wit, and angst in the form of the supernatural unknown and mysteries revealed that harpoons ones interest into the love story of a monster and his obsession; warring against the world and their inner demons with an ironclad grip on one another.

As Justus himself exclaims, “I have faith in that heartbeat. No. I have complete and utter faith in that heart alone...”
